Well, it's not full-on stereotypical medieval fantasy due to the smattering of early modern technologies and lack of usual fixtures like elves and dwarves, but my RP I have linked in my sig is open. The characters are currently on their ship which is loaded up with extra passengers as it's involved with an expedition the local duke has ordered to go liberate some outlying islands from anti-magic cultists in league with demons, so as long as your character has a decent reason to go kill communists the aforementioned heretics they'd have a reason to run into the rest of the group and get wrapped up in their adventures.

Fair warning: it's not the fastest RP, primarily due to my heavy RL commitments mixed with the occasional writer's block. But if you don't mind having to wait weeks or months for updates in a really good story then you're welcome to check it out.

We'd like to get general RP-related chatter out of the Cafe. This thread is where you can discuss things dear to your heart which also focus on RP. The RP community is the thread theme. Other chatter belongs in TET or F7. Please bear in mind the following:

• NS Forum Rules. If you have a question on the rules, check the OSRS. Standard NS rules apply here. Things like ‘do not spam, do not flame, do not troll, do not bait your fellow posters’ still apply. So I've recently settled myself upon going ahead and buying a tablet for myself for Christmas and I don't really have friends in circles that would know much about this sort of thing, so I'm curious if any of ya'll know or have suggestions on the matter? Looking to use it for digital artwork, so it has to show what I'm doing, as I'm doing it and have a stylus. I'm resistant/hesitant to use Mac/Apple products if only because I disagree with their manufacturing methods...

Sorry for how outright random this is, but if it's of any interest to anyone, it's all come around in part because writing with some of ya'll inspired me to go back into drawing too.

I've had good results with a Surface, mainly because I have fancy junk to let me turn it into a miniature laptop when needed. But that's advice from sorta outta nowhere, as I'm also a bit of an anti-Apple sort.

I'm running a fun comedy set in the Old West, which is great. It's called Grand Theft Horse (see sig below for links). Lots of fun characters. The plot is kind of revolving around a Machiavellian small town mayor in Texas who has just set up a fake gold rush to cash in on bunches of new people coming to town, and himself growing in political power. Not to mention bunches of fun players. But more are still welcome. We're slow paced - but that's ok because good comedy can't always be rushed.

Gotta be said, the RPs of mine that succeed most are often those with fairly barebones OPs but good concepts. Too many words scare folks off.
