[Q] Election thread locked?

Why is the 2020 Presidential election thread locked, there are no known reports or trawls that I know of, nor did it reach 500 pages?

Oh I did not see it, I have to ask why the thread however stayed open another 3 pages before it was locked, just seems weird to me.

It didn't stay open, it was locked when Farn posted and reopened.
3 pages later it was locked again without explanation.

I am wondering that as well as it didn’t seem that harsh to warrant a lock.....

So instead of having the Harris reaction focused in the thread where it's appropriate the appropriate thread has been locked and the discussion spilled over into anything tangentially related. Awesome. Now anyone who wants to discuss the announcement gets to bump around the various threads.

Basically the entire thread at this point is "Kamala as VP will lose my vote" and "Kamala is bad!" I can understand why it's locked as to prevent people from dogpiling on the "Kamala bad" sentiment.

Well, or you could go back over to the Election thread and have a reasonable conversation. I apologize for the inconvenience, I locked it to make a point about hysterical posting and must have run into ... technical difficulties. It's unlocked now.
