I'm going to change the tech levels to PT through PMT so we are able to use different tactics and equipment.

And I can use tactics from WW2 if I want to, the tech level doesn’t impact that (however throwing waves of infantry at the enemy may no longer work...)

Let me explain this in detail.

"PT", "MT" and "FT" are only upper bounds. If you say "MT" modern and less advanced tech, including caveman weapons, are theoretically fair game. PMT is a special case because the boundaries between MT and FT are blurred here. PMT covers extrapolations of MT that have not been implemented up to just before FTL, in my understanding. So you append PMT or "early PMT" to MT to say plausible paper tech up to some point is allowed.

So saying MT-PMT makes sense but to be honest PT-PMT doesn't because MT covers PT.

Quite frankly, using WW2 or even early Cold War equipment in a modern war is an easy way to get steamrolled.

Attack aircraft currently stationed in Joyeah City (excluding aircraft there temporarily AC-130,SU 25, SU 20, SU 7, Q5, J 21 Jastreb, AU 23, A-7, F1 (anti ship aircraft). Fighger aircraft stationed there include Hellcat 3000, MiG 35, MiG 25, MiG 29, Su 35, Tu 128, J 8, MiG 21, J 62s, J 10, J 20. Bombers at Joyeah city air base are Tu 95, B 1, Tu 22, B2, Yak 28. Other aircraft stationed there include: Yak 27, SR 71, SR 75, Tu 22PD, AN 2, C 17, Kc 10, Kc 130, kc 135, E 3, AN 225, AN 124, AN 12, Condor X, Vulture X, T 1, VC 137s, MS 160, JJ 2, WC 130, EC 130E, and EC 130Q.

I am mostly interested in these items:
"AU 23"
"Hellcat 3000"
"J 62"
"SR 75"
"Condor X"
"Vulture X"
"MS 160"

I'm more interested in why he has things like A-4s, A-7s, Su-7s, Su-17s, and MiG-21s that were mostly outdated by the 70s-80s operating alongside B-2s and MiG-35s. And why he made this PMT if he was going to be using older technology (though granted most people, including me, are just treating it like MT anyay).

I mean, you have repeatedly said that you're using unrestricted submarine warfare, so it's not really that unreasonable to assume your subs would attack a military convoy.

Just to be clear, you should see my follow-up post in this tghread. At this point it's not tenable for me to support Joyea in this war and I'll probably be doing minor actions in support of Osea instead.

I know what you mean. I was starting to wonder for a bit when people were going on about Osea being evil and supporting terrorism and whatnot. Then in comes Reich with an aircraft carrier literally named freaking Adolf Hitler, and I'm just like "oh, I'm totally on the right side of this war, and I don't believe a word these people say."

Dunno, but he's about to start losing more now that my Congress has authorized military force (which, by the way, isn't a formal declaration of war). Basically, I'm going to have subs mining his submarine bases and waiting to ambush subs returning to rearm. They'll also be shadowing any sub tenders he has.

Honestly, you're not doing too bad, especially for a first RP. Granted, it's not the most realistic or serious RP around, but that's actually why I signed up in the first place. Sometimes it's nice to be able to relax a bit and not have to put tons of effort into every post. That said, you have an RP that's kept everyone's interest for 11 pages OOC and 4 pages IC, which is more than a lot of RPs manage.

I know it’s too late, and I feel bad for missing the sign-ups. However, in the Syria chat, I have my armed forces fighting against the Oseanians in Damascus. I’m wondering, if you’d be open to let me join as a exception if you want because I feel like it would be OOC if Spokane is involved in the Syria war but not the Oseanian-Joyean war on Joyea’s side. To even things out if you want, I can see if somebody I know would be open to joining on Oseania’s side. But, it won’t be the end of the world if you say no because I completely understand.

I’m wondering, if you’d be open to let me join as a exception if you want because I feel like it would be OOC if Spokane is involved in the Syria war but not the Oseanian-Joyean war on Joyea’s side.
