Rail Service to be Restored in Occupied Kongsi

The Nacrad National Railways have announced a new route into Occupied Kongsi, the first service into the region since 2008.

The announced route runs from Riverfort, and ends in Ji'an. The estimated time for the whole journey is projected to be around 16 hours, stopping at various towns and cities within Kongsi along the way. "We plan to extend the service to Nanchang after the city is liberated, and the tracks repaired," adds the spokesperson, "However, Ji'an is the closest city we can safely reach."

Reportedly, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has invited the international fact-finding team to join on the maiden journey of this railway route, which would commence operations on 10 August.

We acknowledge and condemn the belligerent manner with which the Kongsinese have conducted themselves in recent times, though we also condemn the Nacradian government for such a heavy-handed response to these provocations. It has been no secret that the people of Kongsi have rightly felt threatened by the growing power of Nacrad, following the collapse of the U.S.S.R. in the late 20th century. What the government of Nacrad has failed to recognise is that the era in which the sovereignty of individual states can be completely disregarded in the face of invasion has long since passed. It is much more proper for national leaders to negotiate and discuss their differences rather than waste the blood of their soldiers on foreign soil. Despite this, it appears that the paper tiger of Nacrad, not willing to enter the international stage as a respectable entity, has instead elected to prey upon small and weakened states such as Kongsi, threatening the international revolution. As a socialist power, the P.F.R. cannot and will not tolerate the subversion of the workers' movement in any state. In short, in the light of the Nacradian bourgeois class-dictatorship refusing to act with any discernible level of sound thought and consideration, the P.F.R. will now submit an ultimatum to the Federal Republic. Regardless of ideology, the peoples of both Kongsi and Nacrad are not deserving of the horrors that war brings. As such, the P.F.R.'s ultimatum shall constitute the following stipulations: The Federal Republic of Nacrad will withdraw fully from all Kongsinese territories occupied during the war. The Federal Republic of Nacrad will enter negotiations with the People's Republic of Kongsi to cease all hostilities. The Federal Republic of Nacrad will agree to limit all military forces within a 40km distance from the Kongsinese border to 50.000 personnel at maximum. If the Nacradian administration is truly aligned with the protection of its people, it shall accept these demands. The P.F.R. has no reason to see conflict perpetuated in the region, and would like to reach a bloodless solution. Though, while it is not becoming of civilised states to use threat of military force to back their demands, the situation that the Nacradian government has developed of its own accord renders such necessary on behalf of the P.F.R.'s armed forces. While the P.F.R. is naturally disinclined towards senseless destruction and conflict, it is also not afraid to act forcefully and decisively in the interests of working people across the world. If the Federal Republic of Nacrad does not comply with the provisions detailed within this ultimatum, the P.F.R. will enter the conflict as a full participant in the defense of the Kongsinese nation and the Nacradian people. It is hoped that the Nacradian government chooses what is best for its people and international peace and goodwill.

Official Statement in Response to the South Reinkalistani Ultimatum

The South Reinkalistani ultimatum was received before working hours today (11/08/2020). In which, the honourable South Reinkalistani Government has demanded that the Nacradian Armed Forces to immediately and, by the looks of things, unilaterally withdraw from the war. We are afraid that we must reject items 1, 3 and 4. However, the Federal Government and the Armed Forces of Nacrad agree to restart attempts in establishing a peace treaty with Kongsi.

Some may wonder, why is the word "restart" used instead of "start"? That is because the Armed Forces have made numerous attempts at establishing either ceasefire or peace during the war, the first attempt of which started before Nacrad threatened any of its cities, and attempts have followed with the capture of each city until early July, totaling not less than 5 attempts. However, the Kongsinese Government has taken these gestures for granted. Each attempt results in either our officers taken Prisoner, or them being executed. Fearing that Nacrad could lose more officers, we had no choice but to halt these attempts.

The cause for the invasion, however, is not solely because of the provocations. It is also for the defence of the various cities near the border. On 27 May, the day of the declaration of war, the Kongsinese Revolutionary Army had been less than five kilometers from Shiukwan, a city of nearly a million inhabitants, and even closer to various other smaller towns, which, if allowed to continue, would threaten the nearly 30 million inhabitants of our capital within a day. On top of that, they had also issued an ultimatum earlier demanding the cessation of nearly one-fifth of our territory, or else they would, as quoted from the communique, "Salt your fields, rape your girls, then bury [your] citizens alive, including you, Mr. Smith."

Having received these grave threats, the Armed Forces had to be deployed in defence of the Federal Republic. At late afternoon that day, the Kongsinese Government issued a declaration of war over their claimed territories, and our President similarly reciprocated the honour. As you can see, it was Kongsi's extreme belligerence and aggression that we had to use such a heavy-handed approach.

As a matter of fact, the honourable South Reinkalistani Government had, whether by chance or intentionally, overlooked the continued aggression of Kongsi since their coup and formation in 1972, conducting border raids and sabotage against Nacradian assets and land every few years, multiple times per year. In face of this, the Nacradian Federal Government has been highly tolerant of their antics, settling for statu quo ante bellum or ceding territories towards Kongsi. We also agreed to supply them with automobiles, munitions, and miscellaneous items in exchange for their rich natural resources, as a gesture of goodwill and our mutual prosperity. However, as we can all see, the Kongsinese Government has taken this for granted, invading Nacrad to get the golden egg within the goose.

Finally, the Federal Government also promises to the International Community that measures will be put in place to rebuild and enhance the infrastructure within the occupied territories, and will provide any necessary aid to restore the Kongsinese people's quality of life.

And from here, the Federal Republic also implores Nanchang to make the most pragmatic approach, and enter negotiations with Nacrad immediately.

Indeed, those who wantonly invade and aggress against other sovereign states are among the lowest and most abhorrent of earthly beings. It is held as sacrosanct by the P.F.R. that each nation be undisturbed in conducting its internal business. Any attempts to infringe upon or violate such affairs are, by nature, imperialist. One society may have standards for what is moral that may differ from another. This is by no means a valid pretext for any animosity between these two societies. International agreements and treaties are, if engaged in willingly by all participants directly affected by them, entirely just. Such alignments, voluntary offerings of sovereignty in the name of co-operation and peaceful prosperity, are noble and to be celebrated. What is not just is an agreement that directly infringes upon the sovereignty of nations that are not party to its stipulations. The Amistad Declaration on Slavery and the Rights of Man is one of these organisations. The forces behind the Amistad Declaration operate with good intentions; such cannot be denied in good faith. But the means through which these intentions are exercised manifest themselves in a destructively dogmatic policy of outright war towards all states that violate the declaration's self-determined set of morals, regardless of context. This is a recipe for injustice and disaster. The People's Republic of Kongsi employs policies that are backwards, and the P.F.R. realises that this is rightly a subject of controversy in the international community. The P.F.R. has always condemned all forms of forced labour, and it abhors the Kongsinese state for it. However, we are also not blind to the reasons for these policies: constant aggression by the Nacradian Armed Forces, perpetual economic hardship and toil as a result of numerous sanctions, and a lack of reliable geopolitical allies in the region. This has forced Kongsi into an authoritarian regime relying upon many barbarisms to keep itself existing. The answer to this issue is not force, but rather to allow Kongsi to open up and take its place on the world stage as an equal to its contemporaries. The P.F.R., however, does not aid Kongsi for this reason alone. As stated previously, the P.F.R.'s ethos is greatly aligned with the principles of national sovereignty. In its invasion, Nacrad has violated these principles and forced the P.F.R. to take action. The P.F.R. has signed no treaties regarding slavery or forced labour. It has, rather than allowed itself to be drawn astray by dogma, made an empirical observation of the state of affairs in Kongsi, and acted accordingly. The Amistad Declaration's de-facto enforcers may do as they wish regarding the P.F.R.; they may brand us as slaver-aiders, condemn us and refuse to recognise our existence. But we shall stand resolute in our convictions. We will defend national sovereignty against imperialism; protect those under threat from the fickle puppetry of the first world.

You know what is absolutely in common to all manner of fifth-rate totalitarians, and the sort of drunken slovenly smackhole that beats his child with a kitchen mallet at 3 AM? That it's never their fault no matter what. "You made me do it". "My wife made me angry so I hit her with the hatchet". "My husband talked back to me so I hit him with the rolling pin." "Our economy was poor so we put our own people in chains and enslaved them in giant concentration camps." It's never ever their fault that they perform actions that are not merely evil, but make no sense whatsoever. It's always the foreigners, the aliens from Mars, the sexual deviants, the neighbor next door, the kids, the wife. It's never ever the men on the guard towers with the machineguns that are to blame, somehow.

Somehow, we are told, the Great Wise Leaders are somehow at once creatures of incredible wisdom and willpower, steering the nation against all wrongs – and yet somehow unable to avoid the exigency of putting their own people, whose safety and freedom should have been their first and foremost responsibility, behind chains and bars. Again, this is stupid even on its face. There has never been evidence that mass forced labor actually is a decent response to economic disorder. Even that infamous arch-slaver, Henrich Yagoda, reported that, actually, no, it is unproductive – the purpose of the infamous GULAG camps was to intimidate, not to produce. But setting that apart, other human beings are not your fuel, they are not your engines, they are not your cattle. The idea that the hostility of other nations and the absence of allies 'made' Kongsi put their people in chains is both morally decrepit and logically absurd. "Nobody likes him, so he tied up his family in chains in his basement!" – this is approximately what the diplomats from "Reinkalistan" sound like. To quote those young people on the Internet – imagine telling on yourself like this.

But now let us move to the crux of their argument, the claim of national sovereignty and the accusations of imperialism. To be clear, the only use that national sovereignty has at all, is as a guarantor of liberty and well-being of the people who live in the nations in question. Imperialism is wrong to the extent it leads to the enslavement of the actual people within the nations. Allanea, of course, has never threatened to enslave anyone in Kongsi. Indeed, we have made no threats of violence against Kongsi at all, save to what is already inherent in the Amistad Declaration on Slavery and the Rights of Man. But setting this aside, we have signed no international agreement that would force us to respect the national sovereignty of Kongsi, or any other nation, for its own sake. There is no law, no treaty, no agreement that can bind us in this respect.

National sovereignty cannot be viewed – to what extent it exists at all – as an endless, blank-check permit to torture, to enslave, to use the whip and guillotine and firing squad. To do so is to turn the purpose of sovereignty on its head. The national sovereignty system is like the airtight compartments of a ship, preventing the entire vessel from sinking when one of the compartments floods. To use national sovereignty to justify slavery is like deliberately flooding the compartments with water and then locking the bulkheads to avoid the passengers being rescued.

In one sense, I am grateful to the Reinkalistani diplomats. Where previously their silence made it possible for us to doubt whether they were consciously assisting the slaver, now they have spoken – and have removed all doubt. They have my thanks.

At any rate, I hope the so-called leadership of the "Democratic People's Republic of Kongsi" soon suffers a case of terminal-onset asphyxia brought about by strangulation – or, for the Reinkalistani reader: I hope they hang.

AS A "SLAVER AIDER" STATE The clash of nations - be it diplomatically or otherwise - is usually but a facade for a much greater struggle; one of ideas. Indeed, the differing worldviews held by the leadership of the P.F.R. as opposed to that of the so-called "Free Kingdom" have torn asunder all hopes of cordial relationships between the two nations and carved a deep ideological rift that may never be filled. Yet this should hardly come as a surprise; the practical differences are insurmountable. Take a glance at Allanea in its dominating strength and influence. Its untroubled, first-world nature sits in stark contrast to the long and tumultuous history of the Reinkalistani people, who have inherited nothing. The P.F.R. has had to consistently contest with the scorn of international capitalism as it built a great country out of mere rubble. Would the typical Allanean even understand the hardship of the Reinkalistani? It is unlikely. Even the poorest worker of Allanea is immensely privileged. This vast difference pronounces itself through the bombastic puerility of Ambassador Nizhinsky, who, from his position of vaunted honour, criticises the dealings of nations whose affairs are well outside of his business. He wishes for his country to command other nations as a master, dictating what is right and what is wrong, then demanding that people comply with these artificial ethics. He will brandish threats in the name of his dogmatically-determined "rights". He is of the typically first-world view that what is ethical is not dependent upon any circumstance but the whim of the Free Kingdom. Through his cold, purely analytical view of geopolitical reality, he sees merely nations and statesmen. He sees ideas and morals that contradict with his own and seeks to "correct" them, to turn their adherents into satellites of the first world. Frankly, the Free Kingdom has no desire to tolerate other ways of life. It naturally presumes that the best world is that in which its system is the only one present. The naked truth is that it could not care less for the unfortunate forced labourers of Kongsi. It merely sees a nation with ways averse to a stultifying piece of paper, and decides that the only proper means through which the difference of ideas can be solved is through war [as per clause II of the Amistad Declaration]. This manner transforms the international stage into a kraterocratic mess, disregarding the civilised diplomacy with which such delicate affairs should be conducted. While a bitter war of expansion is being waged by the Nacradians, all the Allaneans can focus on is one small piece of a very large picture. All they care for is the direct enforcement of the piece of paper they have signed, by any means necessary. Reason, temperance, and restraint are all tossed aside in the name of the sword. Furthermore, the P.F.R. does not for a moment suggest that the forced-labour policies employed by Kongsi will alleviate its troubles! We merely underline a very important and simple fact: the more unwarranted pressure is placed upon a struggling regime, the further it descends into despotism and ruin. This is an issue that cannot be solved by force without wasting many of the lives that the Free Kingdom purportedly wishes to "liberate". Kongsi must be steadily aided and guided to allow a bloodless and true liberation of its people. This may not please the bellicose Allanean war-ministers, nor their corporate benefactors, but it will ensure a greater long-term prosperity for the Kongsinese people. Right now, the ground is being stained with Nacradian and Kongsinese blood with the ultimate goal not even being "liberation", merely the expansion of Nacradian strategic interests. For even daring to suggest a peaceful solution to defuse a rapidly worsening issue [which the Nacradians have since denied], the P.F.R. is now a "slaver aider" state. It is simple: the Allaneans simply cannot tolerate the notion of a nation with a differing way of life. It will seize upon any pretext possible to eradicate such entities and their sympathisers through force if necessary. Once this blatancy is laid bare, the Allanean rejection of the "imperialist" label becomes absolutely risible in its abject falsehood. The slanderous accusation that the P.F.R. is facilitating slavery through its peaceful and humanitarian actions is an unsubstantiated verdict passed by an illegitimate body whose primary directive, it seems, is to waste human lives in the pursuit of eye-wateringly idiotic idealism. The first world will never render the P.F.R. their puppet, and our foreign policy shall not be determined by its ruinous tendencies. With the mask having been torn off of the Amistad kleptocrats, the P.F.R. is now ever the more resolved to stand against the imperialist nature of Allanea and its allies. The P.F.R. will defend the sacrosanct principles of national-sovereignty and self-determination against the onslaught of the menace that now threatens our way of life.

JI'AN, Occupied Kongsi -- Dozens of local citizens gathered at the Ji'an Railway Station, as the Riverfort-Ji'an Express arrived with a 2-hour delay and through an insurgent ambush. As it pulled into the station slowly but surely, the crowds cheered. For after merely 2 months of liberation, aspects of normal life are already being restored, starting with secure water, food and electricity, and now more transportation links than before. As the train came to a grinding halt, the doors opened, and lovers, families, even friends, hugged in rejoice of reunion.

At the same time, a freight train also arrived into the station, out of which food and other supplies were offloaded and distributed to rationing centers.

"It was an absolute delightful sight to see," said a local lady, "The previous regimes never treated us that well, while you, the occupiers, actually strived to increase our quality of life. In fact, under your occupation, I finally have enough to eat, and I can even keep my lights on without it cutting out at 10 pm like it used to be."

Having talked to the Kongsi Military Occupation Committee, the Committee said that it has visions of a more stable, prosperous and democratic Kongsi, and will put forth more projects and operations to increase the quality of life, while preserving their local culture.

Once again, those obsessed with 'national sovereignty' are opening the sewage collector which is their minds, and flushing out into the street the contents of their thoughts. They claim that Allanea has had no history of struggles and has always been as it is now, prosperous, strong, and free – and that therefore we have no right to 'dictate' the behaviors of other nations. The factual claim is not true – Allanea has known foreign occupation and military defeat in its past – the normative claim is preposterous. We are to be told that the nations which are successful and prosperous have no right to point out that the failed, corrupt, and tyrannical nations of the world are in fact failed, corrupt and tyrannical.

Late on the slaver apologists from South Reinkalistan – and here, the wording I use is literal, they are literally making apologies for slavers – accuse Allanea and Amistad Declaration states of the 'crime' of being puerile, and moreover of not having any other tool in our foreign policy toolbox than war. The accusations of 'childishness' are a common insult in the dictionary of tyrants. To them, there's always some 'thought out' 'adult' reason for men to be in chains, and for the boot to be on the men's throat – and he who points out that to place a boot on a man's throat leads to his death is 'childish'. Very well. I would definitely rather be puerile than be that kind of 'adult'.

But it is blandly, boringly untrue to say that our only option is war. Consider the dilapidated, mentally-deficient, multi-layer labor camp of a society that claims to be a People's Republic (but is neither a Republic in any meaningful sense, nor is run for the benefit of its people) – that is to say, Kongsi. The Free Kingdom has not so far threatened war, nor has it fired a single shot, nor has it sent a single soldier. The idea that we are menacing Kongsi with war remains so far principally in the empty heads of the South Reinkalistani diplomats.

Over the decades, the Free Kingdom has repeatedly used peaceful and diplomatic means to end slavery in dozens of nations. Our gates are open to refugees and immigrants. Our emergency personnel have placed themselves in the way of harm to protect innocents from starvation and malaria, from exposure and cholera, to rescue men from flooding and to dig women from under the ruins of earthquake-flattened buildings.

There are many more things I can say to the world as a Grand Ambassador of the Free Kingdom of Allanea.

At a secluded beach on the island of South Reinkalistan during a new moon, a small landing craft unloads the weapons it was carrying. Assault rifles, sniper rifles, rocket launchers, all were unloaded unto the beach by capitalist revolutionaries. One of them received a letter from a foreign government that had been supplying them. The letter read as follows:

Commence the revolution when ready.

While the main South Reinkalistani fleet was fighting a war elsewhere, tens of thousands of revolutionaries stormed the capital city's fortress, which looked about as Medieval as a fortress could get. It didn't take long for them to capture the fortress and the local garrison was taken prisoner. The time had come for the Capitalist Revolution and the revolutionaries didn't hesitate to take the opportunity.

News of the capital city fortress's capture soon reached the Army officers in every part of the country.

Soldier: Sir, the capital city fortress just fell!

Officer #1: What?!

Soldier: The ones responsible are calling themselves capitalist revolutionaries.

Officer #1: Get the troops ready.

A multitude of soldiers suddenly burst into the chamber some time later.

Officer #2: You're all under arrest for treason!

A large chunk of the army had revolted as well and in the cities and military installations across the island, loyalist soldiers and politicians were rounded up and imprisoned with nothing but the clothes they were wearing. With the exception of the capital's eastern outskirts where the socialist ruling class were holding out, the capitalist revolutionaries and the pro-capitalist segment of the army had effectively seized power; they were soon joined by much of the navy, which successfully cracked down on the loyalists who stayed behind.
