How does this proposal boost police and military budgets?

OOC: Mandating the disclosure of certain records would inevitably generate additional overhead, and necessitate an increase in funding.

So long as such forces are given permission to operate by the government, I would presume so based on the definition.

We don't "give" permission for business to operate, that's not how it works here.

While we agree with the spirit and intent of this resolution, the King of Coconut Palm Island has instructed the WA Delegation to vote against this resolution. Our nation believes that the protections for law enforcement officers are not comprehensive enough. Our nation encourages law enforcement officers to reach out for help when they are experiencing mental health or substance abuse issues— and doesn’t release information about officer mental health even during use-of-force investigations. We think it is more important that an officer be able to ask for help before It leads to a tragedy than it is to invade a law enforcement’s records to punish them after the fact.

Furthermore, while our nation holds law enforcement officers to the highest possible standard, use-of-force investigations are not launched every time an officer uses force, only when the use of such force is accompanied by a good-faith complaint (we allow any officer or civilian to initiate an investigation, unless it is obvious that the individual is using the reporting power to further a vendetta or avoid criminal charges). For example, when an officer uses force to stop an armed suspect from hurting others, and it is obvious that the officer used force as a last resort, no investigation will be made.

This is all about punishing officers after-the-fact, making incidents of wrongdoing available for citizens to view. Coconut Palm Island believes in building a culture of trust and peaceful conflict resolution between law enforcement officers and the public. When an incident does happen, we want officers to be able to be honest about any mistakes they’ve made— we’d rather a cop get the help they need to handle incidents better in the future than to be vilified, lose their job, and set an example encouraging other officers to cover for one another and hide corruption.

Wealthatonia is a loose federation of Businesses operating as County seats responding to one major CEO that is appointed. As long as no lives are directly taken and punishment cannot be fined, they are free to operate. The government just makes sure basic needs are taken care of
