I have been listening to Cher's Believe album. Yes. That one. From 1998.

Why? I remember hearing it as a child and thinking it was the biggest piece of fucking shit I ever heard in my life and I needed to listen to 100 heavy metal albums to clean my head.

And I listen to it now and it struck me, in some fit of eldritch clarity and madness.

This is one of the greatest albums of music I have ever heard in my life.

Ah but seriously, lame and kitschy and nothing but poorly-written break up songs as this album is... I can't help but love it. Partly because it's bad, yes... But man, something about this album moves me.

To give perspective on this, I have been listening to rock my whole life. Heavy metal, Hard rock, Progressive rock, Southern rock, rockabilly, death metal, I roadied for some bands as part of a motorcycle gang.

I am the hardest son of a bitch you're ever gonna meet.

Cher's Believe album. Look it up. You're gonna cringe. You're gonna cry. You're gonna vomit. But in the end... You will enjoy it in part.

And see I actually don't mind it without auto-tune.
