With the new hires, comes their payment, and millions in tax dollars will need to be spent on hiring the employees.

"Why are our valuable tax dollars being spent on hiring new morons to 'represent' us!" yells @@RANDOMNAME@@, the leader of the extremeist @@DENONYMADJECTIVE@@ Voting Group, as @@HE@@ gradually destroys your desk. "We need to vote the politicians in, so our tax dollars go to a person of value to us!"

There are lines of people all around @@NAME@@ as new voting centers fill up.

Instead, try to think of an unexpected consequence of sortition, and aim to build an issue around that.

I am currently drafting an issue centered around sortition fraud (namely this one). It's one of the aspects that could go wrong in a system such as sortition. Perhaps you could consider another element of this system that has the potential to cause trouble? For example, perhaps a group of criminals have been randomly selected for parliament and want to decriminalize some of their activities. I am sure there are more creative issues to be thought of around sortition, but they seem to elude my mind at the moment

Also, I am not sure what the dilemma in this issue draft is. Hiring new employees isn't a necessity, because in sortition it's only the Parliamentarians that are changing. In essence, the existing government employees only get new bosses, that's all. And if sortition has been around in the country for years, why is this hiring a problem now? Why wasn't it a problem before? Those are all questions which I feel undermine the strength of the current premise.
