The JVP wrote:Kamooko, Placeoderms

Katrin waited for Admiral Son, down in the hotel lobby. She wore the standard formal uniform of her order, hat on a table, as listened to something on her phone. She had been in Placeoderm for some time, and had really picked up on some of the culture. Taking her time to go find local places to eat, and spending time with her tutor on learning the Markion Common, Markish. In a way close to how one would speak the Aelian common, but with different writing symbols, and inflections. Still, she picked up on it fast.

"Knight Katrin" Came a strong, baritone voice from behind her. She turned and looked at Admiral Son.

"Knight Second Class Son." She said, getting up from her seat and giving a slight bow.

Son let out a small sigh, and motioned for her straighten up, as he looked around at the people. Most likely thinking he was some kind of royalty with his Formal Order dress uniform.

"None of that here, Katrin." He said, as focused back on to her. "We have a job to do he said, beginning to walk to the door. "Oh. I almost forgot." He pulled out a box, and handed it to her. "From the Queen. She said you have done a good job here."

Katrin, held the box, and fumbled as she opened it. "A gift from the Queen." Said said, as she looked down at the contents of the box. "Wait... These are?"

Son smiled. "Yes, Sister of the second order. This is a promotion." He helped her pin the pips to her collar. "Orders will be in later. You will talk the role as the Empires rep to the Kamooko Pact. You'll fall under my command as the Empires rep to the Markion Region. We are of equal rank, but i'll still be the head of this mission here." He looked her over. "You've grown a lot from the small mouse like staff member on my carrier. i'm proud of you." He said, bracing himself as Katrin jumped at him and wrapped him in a hug.

"Thank you Admiral." She said. Pushing away.

"Very good." He said. "The car should be out front. The Gifts for the other reps have already been loaded in."

the two walked out of the lobby, and into the awaiting car. A nice sleek design, the had Son wanting to get one in grey.

The drive to the palace was quick, and the two talked over the meeting. They would meet the other reps, talk some trade, hand out documents on the Empire, and then sign the accords. Seemed simple, but Son know these things could be a handful.

Still, when the car pulled up to the Turtleback palace, the two got out, grabbed their bags, and walked in.

Kamooko had never been so full of foreign dignitaries before. It was only months ago that Ameria and their neighbouring city-state of Stallenbourg had joined the pact together and started pushing for a more outward and hands-on approach to the issues of Markion. The small island nation of Isae now looked to sign the Kamooko accords. The Isaen government had little to say on their reasons for joining but many have speculated that their sudden commitment to the pact is partly because of more recent aggression from Sevevill against island nations in the Urilasian strait, one of Markion's most important trade routes. Others have simply suggested that Kamooko Pact offers much stability to its member nations through trade and orderly governing, and Isae merely wants a piece of it.

However, as talks were taking place by higher-up officials, the Joseon Vedoric Protector Empire, or JVP, from the Aels region took a keen interest in the Kamooko Pact. Many member states took it as a surprise that not only a nation from a completely different region was looking to join the Pact, but an Empire. Albeit the JVP was not entirely imperialistic anymore but this did ruffle feathers within the KP's council chambers. After days and almost two weeks of debate, a decision was finally made to allow the JVP into the Pact however there would be much KP oversight throughout the Vedoric Empire's government in order to keep weary officials in Kamooko at bay.

Times were changing in the halls of Turtleback Palace. The Kamooko Pact was once seen as a small annoyance by the Empires of Markion. Made of two and then three nations for a time, but with perseverance and a little bit of providence perhaps, the Pact has grown massively and even drawn on new allies far and beyond the reaches of Markion. As the administration of the Pact grows to accommodate these new arrivals, officially and later broadcasted on nearly all news stations the nations of Isae and JVP had joined the Kamooko Pact in name at least. The future looks bright under order, commerce and good governance.

Isae wrote:Recently, several Isaen officials were seen during the talks at the Apollo Events Center during the recent talks regarding Ameria joining the Kamooko Pact. Soon after these talks ended, Isaen officials have since been sighted at Kamooko, Placeoderms, and Republic of Altos and Stratis, most likely discussing signing of the Kamooko Accords, and potentially joining the Kamooko Pact as a whole.

Azurite carefully, almost gingerly, parked the luxury car she'd been given to drive to and from her hotel and the Turtleback Palace in which some of the talks were taking place, all too aware that the flashy car was nothing like the 6 wheeled engineering vehicles she was used to using as a captain in the Isaen Engineering corps. She grabbed her suitcase of various important documents, and made her way into the Palace. Her job was to organize the potential delegation of her corps to the members of the Kamooko Pact, and try to keep the talks smooth and on track, as several of her contemporaries were known to be a bit hotter headed. After breezing through security, she stepped into the room in which the talks were held, made sure everything was prepared and in order, and waited for the others to arrive.

Sun Li

After entering the meeting room with several others and setting up everything, finally, after some greetings and general small talk the true discussion began. Li was poised and direct. "Today we are here to discuss Isae's position when it comes to its military contributions to the Kamooko Defence Command. I understand that your nation's military small, barely ten thousand troops with supporting elements as well as special operations in addition to naval and air assets, all built around national defence. A fine military for a nation of your size." Li moved papers around and smiled with his mouth, "However I suppose the real question is how much of this is Isae willing to give? We understand that not every nation can supply millions of reservists at a moment's notice like Durradon can, but keep in mind that one must do more to give than to receive." He finished and awaited a reply.

The Visit

Postby The JVP » Fri Aug 07, 2020 1:33 pm

Queen Vivi's royal tour of Markion.

High Queen Vivi of the JVP Empire was set to visit the palace today, the floors were spotless, and the House of Mausen was dressed to impress, without being ceremonial about the matter.

Though Etschelena herself wasn’t too happy. Ulrik’s visit had come to an end, and he was packing up to go back to Bergland. Plus she was now stuck at this event, alone.

She remembered the last few weeks they spent together. Of course he was here for his training, but the time they spent exploring their little area of Phoenixia was magical. But as summer faded, and their time together slipped away, she tried to hold on to the memories they had made.

She remembered how on weekends, they would sleep together with the windows opened, as the cool Phoenixian summer breeze blew across them.
They had made plans for her to come and visit him in Emerstari, during the start of the Yuletide Season, and she could not wait to walk with him in the snowy fields of his home nation.

Friedek had finally seemed to have gotten used to having Ulrik around. What, with him coming in and out of his sisters room at all hours of the day and night. But he had other things on his mind. A leader from another region was set to visit them, and he had many things to put in order.

The flight to Markion had been a long one, but the regional liner she flew in, was like a mini palace. Once in Region, they switched to a smaller private jet for her visits.

Admiral Son had welcomed her to Markion, and received some paperwork that had signed for the Kamooka Pact. She would have attended the meeting herself, but her schedule was tight.

Her visit to Phoenixia was third on her list. She had met Admiral Son in Ameria, cut a ribbon at the PenguMotor’s sight in Sjovenia, and now she was here.

“Oh dear.” Vivi began, and her and Inna exited their plane, and made their way to the waiting motorcade of cars.

“Seem’s Kyong had them roll out the largest red carpet they had.” Inna said, she eyed the long line of Phoenixian soldiers, dressed in their military best.

“That he has.” Vivi replied, motioning for her aid to grab a few extra boxes, as she made her way to the first Soldier in the line.

“Korporale Ören.” Vivi said, reading the man's name tag. “Take this as a sign of my appreciation, for welcoming me to your, and guarding my entrance.” She placed a hand on his face, and smiled. “So young, ready to shoulder such a burden.” She took out a medal from the box Inna was now holding, and pinned it to the man's chest. “I bestow upon you, the Queens Award. Personal forged and painted by yours truly.” She stepped back, straightened the man's uniform a little, and gave him a small bow. “Please take care of me.” She said, and then moved onto the next soldier. Giving a personal remark to each and one of them, followed by the award, and then a small bow.

The Last one in line, was a very young man, a Privjat Eisjel. She looked him over, and figured he could not have been old enough to have even joined the military.

“Privjat Eisjel. Please, tell me your age.” She asked.

The Privjat snapped to attention. “18, Ma'am.” He said.

Vivi narrowed her eyes at him, and she could see the sweat collecting above his brow.

“Your real age, son.” She said, in a stern, yet motherly voice.

Eisjel knew he had been caught, and did not know what to do. He lowered his head and spoke. “16, your highness.”

Vivi, placed a finger under the young boy's chin, and lifted his head. “Never lower your head son. Hold it high with pride. So young, yet ready to fight for his nation.” She caressed his face. “But never lie to me again.” She said, her words sharp like a whip, as her eyes flashed with a blue tint.

“Knight Erick. Collect this young on. He will join my detail.” she said, pinning the award to the boy’s chest and looking him over again. “We’ll talk later, young Eisjel. You’ll join my detail as Squire Eisjel, Squire to Knight Erick here.” She kissed the boy's forehead, and moved on to her host.

Friedek waited at the end of the line of Soldiers, and Vivi stopped before him. “Ah. You must be the Crown Prince Friedek Jordan Mausen.” She said, looking over the young man. “I see they honor me, by sending such a handsome young man to escort me to the palace..” She smiled as she saw a flash of red on Friedek’s cheeks.

“It would be my pleasure, Queen Vivi.” He said, holding his hand over his heart.

“Are you blushing?” Came the voice from the young lady standing next to him, as she held a hand over her mouth and giggled.

“The Princess will do well to not disrespect the Queen, with her poor manners.” Friedek barked in Phoenixian, as he clenched his teeth. Shooting a glare to his sister Etschelena, who quickly dropped her hand, and turned away. Hurt by the scolding she had just received.

Vivi giggled a little as she looked to Inna. “Such a firm man.” She said in their native Vedoric. “The ring shows he is not single.” She said again, watching as Inna was the one to blush this time, figuring out that the Queen had caught her stealing glances at Friedek.

She laughed again as she now looked at the girl that Friedek had just scolded. “Etschelena Heliana Mausen, I take it.” Vivi said, looking her over again. “Ah yes. I remember you from the ads. The Eteria car ads.” He laughed again. “You are something of an idol to the young female nobles. They all now drive that car of yours. The…” Vivi thought for a second.

“The Princess edition, My Queen.” Inna spoke up, helping Vivi to remember.
“Yes. That one. A big hit among my young nobles.” Vivi looked from the now beaming Princess, back to Friedek, who had just seemed to put two and two together, and looked at his ring., and then to Inna.

“Friedek.” She began. “I am ready to be escorted to meet your father. But the flight has been long.” She held out her hand. “May a Queen please ask for a young prince to offer her his arm to use as support?” She asked, watching him flush again, as he offered her his right arm.

“It would be my honor, your highness.” He said, shooting an angry glare at his sister, who was getting ready to start laughing again.

“Inna my dear. Why don’t you ride with the Princess here, find out the good spots for shopping.” She said, as Friedek led her to an awaiting car, and opening the door, he helped the Queen in. Once the two princesses had got in their respective car, the small motorcade rolled out of the airport, and picked up their police escort. Next stop, the Royal Palace of Phoenixia.

He turned the corner into the large wood paneled meeting room. A large oak table sat in the middle of the room. At the center of the table sat King Mark the third, Behind him stood two Royal Guard soldiers wearing their normal unfazed faces. Around the table sat some of the top military brass of all branches of the Imperial Military Forces including Head General Greenville and Fleet Admiral Blackburn to name a few. He showed their visitors up to the front of the table where they could set up what they needed. He turned back to the translator,

"Here Senior Colonel, You gentlemen can set up your presentation here."

PFC Gerrard Marks, 51st CIDF Engineer Battalion, 3rd Division. Fort Conner

He lifted up two more of the sand bags and threw it into the back of the truck. They were tasked with setting up more air defenses around the Dacruzian border today along with setting some up around a Civilian airport which had been partially commandeered by the Defense forces to start moving more squadrons closer to the border. Tensions had been growing between FASC and the Empire making Defense Force Command to start ordering a larger force on hostile borders throughout the empire.

He stared out of the side of the Cessna they were flying in. In about 20 minutes he would land at a airfield owned by one of the corporations that had continued to keep ties with the Sevillian government after the fast takeover by FASC a few years before. The corporation had agreed to smuggle in a small amount of Atlas agents to help them start to train their slowly growing army. At the moment it was nothing but he hoped as they started work they could grow faster. At the moment they barely had 400 fighters at their disposal and as soon as he landed they would start to assess what they had and how they were to continue.

JVP on the Kamooko Pact

Before, during, and even after the signing of the Kamooko Accords, the JVP reps knew they were the odd man out. They knew there was an air of mystery and surprise about their involvement, and even some push back on it. So much so that, even at the last second, thoughts about back out have crossed Admiral Son's mind. They already had a host nation in Markion, with Ameria and Stallenbourg, with Stallenbourg already being a close ally, and Ameria being a newly found one. Plus very little relations had been formed with the other pact members, and even with Isae having a colony on Muhr, the JVP had little interaction with them. No, Son knew they were the odd ones out, and that back room whispers about their involvement, that they were just an imperial threat, and reworking the accords, would see the downfall of the pact.

So why sign? Son knew better than to let the words of scared politicians, that feared their power being taken away. He knew the KP as a whole was a good move, Ameria and their actions showed the JVP that, and the JVP knew they could also do some good in the region. So when it came time for Son to sign, he stamped the papers with the royal seal, and prayed for the protection of the pact. Then after transferring power to Katrin, he prayed for her clarity.

"So. Knight Katrin. Now that this is over. Should we go eat?" Son asked his young Valkyrie.

"OH." Her Eyes grew wide. "I know a good place that serves traditional Placeoderm dishes. You'll love it." She said, as the two walked out of the palace.

"You know. No one ever came and talked to us about the Empire." Son began.

"You'll get use to it." Katrin blurted out. "They view us in a different light. I'm sure they will warm up to us." She laughed. "Back in my Observer role, they would really only speak to me, if the matter came to it. Other then that, I spent most of my time just studying their regional common." She sighed. " Still better than being in some backwater nation, engaged in a fire fight."

Son laughed. "I'll see about getting you an aid. someone to talk to. Must be lonely in this big city."

"Yeah. Pretty boring." She stopped, and looked around. "Do you think this was the right move Admiral? I mean, think about it. We are not from this region, we don't have much in common with them, and most don't seem to want us here. Why do this?"

Son, rubbed his chin before placing his hands behind his back. "The Queen does not think on pity matters. She sees the good in the pact, and thinks we can add to it. Plus strong trading partners in the region, is a plus to our economy." He turned to his young friend. "This is why we joined. Doing worry. Like you said. They will warm up to us. Until then, we must stay our course." He reached a hand out and patted her on the head. "Now, i'm hungry, and these traditional dishes have my mouth watering."

Katrin smiled, and rushed forward. "Trust me. You are going to love it. I would eat here every knight, but I think that would look weird."

The two made their way to the local Placeoderm restaurant, got a table, and spent the next hours eating and telling old stories.

USC

PFC Gerrard Marks, 51st CIDF Engineer Battalion, 3rd Division. Fort Conner

He lifted up two more of the sand bags and threw it into the back of the truck. They were tasked with setting up more air defenses around the Dacruzian border today along with setting some up around a Civilian airport which had been partially commandeered by the Defense forces to start moving more squadrons closer to the border. Tensions had been growing between FASC and the Empire making Defense Force Command to start ordering a larger force on hostile borders throughout the empire.

LT. ---- "Red" ---- Atlas

I would like to present to you our aerial defense system, he passes out a pamphlet of the defense system that they would like to sell to the Sevevillian military. The first aerial defense system I would like to sell to your military is the Valkyrie, this system will target any enemy aircraft, incoming howitzer/mortar shells and rocket artillery pieces, it consists of a radar, a 20mm Gatling gun and a missile battery. The second aerial defense system is the Iron Curtain, this system can destroy small and medium range ballistic missiles, it also consists of a radar and a missile battery. The third aerial defense is the Bronze Dome, this is a special one, this can destroy long range ballistic missiles and ICBMs, this system consists of a radar and a missile battery, if you’re under threat of a nuclear barrage then this is the system for you. Any questions?

Meeting of the Parenese National Assembly, Paralemvill, Danlina

An emergency meeting of the Parenese National Assembly had been requested by the Uribillian delegation in response to recent events in Phoenixia, and so the four delegations met at the international conference hall in Danlina’s capital, Paralemvill.

A representative of the Uribillian delegation opened the meeting with his statement: “honored delegates of the Assembly, first I’d like to thank you for agreeing to this meeting on such a short notice. Now the reason we called for this emergency meeting is because it is time for us as a multi-national organization to act upon what’s happening in Phoenixia. Clearly our delegation’s concerns about the involvement of the Tyrians with terrorist organizations has not been for nothing, as we have not only footage of Tyrian officials in a meeting of known Jelenik terrorists, but we also have dead senators on our hands. We clearly must condemn the actions taken by Tyria and threaten with sanctions and use of force if they do not cut their involvement in Phoenixia.”

The representative of the Danlinian delegation stood up and talked in favor of his Uribillian peer, marking that the Tyrians have proven to be involved with terrorist organizations and as such should be treated as terrorists themselves.

“Why wouldn’t you take such a strong anti-terrorist stance when we discuss the Tselleyian situation?” The Parentelli representative asked his Danlinian peer. The Danlinian representative sighed loudly and muttered: “I refuse to answer this ridiculous comment, as it has nothing to do with the topic at hand.”

The Parentelli representative raised an eyebrow, then spoke: “nonetheless, I do agree with the Danlinian and Uribillian delegates, that we must take a strong stance on the topic and we mustn’t let this slide. The Tyrian presence in Phoenixia is highly problematic for everyone involved to start with, and that’s even before taking into account their involvement with terrorists and radicals.”

“Indeed,” said the Danlinian delegate, “and I think we should appeal to the GDU to sanction Tyria. Their actions are a threat to peace in the whole of Drejveska.” The Parentelli and Uribillian delegates nodded in agreement.

The delegates now looked up to the Telroian delegation, to see their say on the matter, but they did not say a word. Finally, after a minute or so of silence, the speaker for the Telroian delegation asked for a ten-minute recess so the delegation can collect their thoughts before final voting on the matter.

Ten minutes had passed, and the Telroian delegation stated that they had nothing to add to the discussion other than saying that they do not think that the GDU should be involved.

A vote was taken on whether should all Parenese nations sanction Tyria, with the vote being a majority in favor with only a handful of Telroian delegates abstaining or against.
Then a vote was taken on whether should the Parenese nations suggest a resolution to the GDU to sanction and condemn Tyria, again ending with a majority in favor but this time all Telroian delegates voted against.

At last the four delegations reached an agreement that Danlina, Parentell, and Uribill will suggest the resolution while Telroi will abstain from the GDU vote.

Subject: Conducting a GDU Summit
To: The GDU
Incription: Normal

Dear Sir/Madam,

We, the representatives of Danlina, Uribill, and Parentell, have decided it is time that the GDU take action against the threat to peace that is the Tyrian expansionism in Krežnosk. We suggest that the members of the GDU will join together to discuss the matter in a summit where we will propose our draft for a bill of sanctions to enact upon Tyria.
We would like for such a summit to take place sometime in the next few weeks. If you find it too hard to organize a place for the summit on such a short notice we offer the International Conference Hall in Danlina's capital city of Paralemvill.

Best regards,
Orli Hanokh, Minister of the Ambassadori Branch, Danlina.
Mark Vorenčik, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Parentell.
Tomas Khalekov, Royal Minister of Foreign Affairs, Uribill.

These system can be placed anywhere. It will take less than 30 minutes to get them ready. It you were to use these systems all together, it would cover from 27 kilometers up to 300 kilometers. Once it's installed and turned on, it will begin doing its work

If one of our satellites were to detect a missile launch either by our radar or our satellites, it will take about 3 to 5 minutes for the computer's algorithm to see what trajectory and how far the enemy ICBM is. Once the computer finishes its algorithm, one of the mobile or stationary batteries will automatically launch the interceptor, it will take less than 15 minutes for the interceptor to hit its target. If you can look to my left you can see a live testing of the Bronze Dome.

-Iyon Sastav, translation done by Senior Colonel Alban “Alfa” Azov

They showed a video of one live ICBM being launched where its target is the bronze dome system located in the empty vast desert, the video also shown an infrared version of the interceptor hit its target and detonated the incoming war head.

Markionian Tyria
An arrival of the second batch of marines has arrived in Markionian Tyria with an estimate of 100,000. Making the military presence in Markionian Tyria to 200,000. Not only the marines have arrived but military vehicles such as armored vehicles, transports, ACPs, IFVs, and Tanks have been delivered at one of the ports in Nova Aurelia.

The Gendarmeries begin to fortify the border on what used to be an open for both Tyrians and Drejevskan alike but splitted by 2 different ideologies. The Gendarmeries that patrol the border now are well equipped with military weaponry and other equipment that the Gendarmeries had that haven been specifically designed for them. A tense feeling has been surrounding the border for quite a while, what seems like a storm will come.

Žeknija
Military ground operations within Žeknija has been order to the halt. Soldiers of the 51st and 53rd Mountain Division dug trenches and made fortification. Reinforcements from the Imperial Marine Commandos that were stationed 1 month ago(don't know how long ago so I'm just going to assume a month ago) begin their journey to the front line that awaits them.

The Death of a dictator.

Prime Minister Hovani Zal, a tyrant who ruled Tyria with an Iron first for 50 years. Came to Markionian Tyria to give a speech on the “acts of the Phoenixian brutality” in an attempt to delusion the public to support an invasion of Phoenixia. However, during the flight to Markionian Tyria, he suffered a stroke and died on the way to the hospital. His arrogant belief that God had chosen him to lead Tyria to a “greater path” had become his kryptonite. After succeeding his late father, Akvar Zal, with his first decree, ordered the cessation of all operations in foreign countries, and the withdrawal of troops from Zekniya. The Imperial Military Council, Markion Garrison Command, drafted a withdrawal plan. The EOD unit will demine the roads, and after they finish, they, along with the rest of the Imperial Army, will withdraw from Zekniya. Many soldiers from the 51st and 53rd Mountain Division were pissed that they saw their fellow comrades died for nothing. Akvar Zal has sent a Peace Treaty pre-signed as he hopes to reform Tyria into a modernized progressive nation

"Do you have a demonstration of any kind? And how many crew would we need trained and placed on each of these devices?" He looked more intrigued than before.
"And tell me if we set one of these up around 100 miles away from each city would that cover the whole city or were you talking from a airborne perspective?"

[i]The J.P. Howard Aviation company has announced their plans to revamp the Diyaristan Capitol International Airport remastering it into a major work of art within the city. The company has layed out plans costing around 4.5 Billion dollars to assemble one large terminal building housing everything the traveling public could want from Duty Free to a full food court with food from all over the empire.

This new plan will change Diyaristan Capitol International from a terminal only housing seven aircraft stands and a old terminal building to a refreshed modern airport with room for around twenty aircraft at a gate with planned around seventy other aircraft stands accessible by bus gates hoping to draw flights from all over Markion to the empires newest member. This new plan will also provide close to 25,000 new jobs in both retail and airport management. The company says they hope to mostly have native Diyaristinians working at the airport to add to the job market after the long fought war in the country and while not totally over they plan to have the airport fully operational again by 2040.

And dont worry if your planning travel to Diyaristan for work or pleasure the airport will still be open and fully functional making use of temporary terminal buildings and the already in place bus gates.

ANN: Military bases in the Empire of Urlias shutdown

Today the last AAF personnel from the 78th Infantry division leave Dieulafoy Army-Air Corps Base, after a changing of colors ceremony attended by the local government and armed forces. The ceremony began with the Arcadian and local national anthems with the Arcadian Federation jack being lowered as the Empire of Urlias flag was raised. This was met with mixed reactions amongst the local populace but they all agree in the hopes of this preventing the looming conflict from hitting their nation. It is speculated that the unit leaving will join thier brother units in the UCSO or end thier rotation early and head back to Fort Munche. While those who support the withdrawal of Arcadian troops in thier nation celebrate this as less Arcadian influence in their country, may are left worried about the economic impact this will have on the local community with the market the AAF brought into the country now closed.

Breaking News: In a press conference, Supreme Councillor Rebecca Brighton announced that the United City States of Oceania is accepting an invitation to the ASAF. The move came as a surprise, as recent leaks out of the Supreme Councillor's Office had suggested that the government would decline the invitation from the FASC. The news comes as time on the ultimatum to Sevevill over September Island winds down.

Kamooko, Placeoderms

Jules was back at the ornate headquarters of the Kamooko Pact, The Turtleback Palace. She was starting to like her new posting; Kamooko was a beautiful city with lots of things to explore. While she still did not have someone to spar with, she had taken to exploring Kamooko’s fine dining during her downtime. And she had recently learned that she would be traveling to the JVP to attend its annual Foal Penguin exercises. But then it was back to being a glorified messenger.

This message that she had been given to deliver this time was a proposal to the KP Defence Council. Ameria wanted to expand its military presence across the alliance; they were petitioning to deploy thousands of soldiers further to shore up the alliances’ weaker and vulnerable members.

“I wonder what this will end up costing me?” When she had first received the proposal, she had read it before preparing it for delivery. The proposal called for Ameria to deploy at least sixteen thousand troops, with one half going to shore up the Kingdom of Albatan against the separatist north and their Arcadian backers. Simultaneously, the other half would go to the Confederate States of Durradon to guard against the rising Kalturan threat.

Finally, she reached the Defence Secretariat’s office, where she could deliver the proposal.

Protests erupt across the nation.

Today, protests erupted across Ardmarie and other regional capitals after MOD documents outlining a plan to send thousands of troops abroad were leaked. While mostly peaceful, clashes between police and demonstrators were reported in Bayala and Callos. These protests were reportedly organized by The Ameria & Stannenbourg First Party (ASF) in response to the leak.

ASF has grown increasingly restless over the past few years, responding to the current government’s ever-increasing interventionism. This comes amid billionaire Stéphane G. Duval’s announcement that he will stand in the 2037 elections for ASF, which are still two years away. This is an unprecedented move, as no candidate has ever announced this far in advance.

Durradon wrote:KR1 Becomes New Service Rifle For The KDC

The first shipments of the KDC’s new service rifle have begun arriving with their new units. After months of research, development, and testing, officials of the military branch of the KP have finally made their decision and have begun full scale production of the rifle. Cheap, efficient and effective, the KR1 has made waves across Kamooko’s administration but took some criticism from soldiers.

Of particular note about these new guns is that they have not shipped with any sights. Most units have been instructed to transfer over their sights from older rifles, leading to a strange mix of optics and iron sights as well as a great deal of confusion in combat-ready units on the Vilhalan border.

Most troops had never seen a rifle like this before, and did not know what to make of it. In the words of one Albatanian soldier upon seeing the KR1, “you’re shorter than I expected.” Formal instruction from Durranese officer is expected within the next few days, with the Kamooko Defence Command’s 1st, 2nd, and 4th divisions on the border receiving priority.

Minor tweaks are expected as troops give feedback on their new weapons, but it looks as if the KR1 has taken its final form.

Yamakan Arms Accused of Undermining the Kamooko Pact

Some months ago, the Durradon-based Yamakan Arms corporation won a bid to lead development of the Kamooko Pact's first standard service rifle. Based off their existing PB-45 bullpup design, the KR1 rifle program was widely considered a success both for the adequate weapon it produced in record time and for the experience gained by engineers and military officials from across the alliance who worked in tandem to develop it. When the first production KR1 rifles began being issued out to front line KDC units, there was justifiable cause for celebration.

Today, however, it is another story. Even after all the time that has passed, Yamakan is still the only company within the KP producing the KR1. Other potential manufacturers have been deemed by them to be "unsuitable" for a plethora of reasons, and despite much back-and-forth with other factions in the alliance, the KR1 technical package remains a closely guarded secret.

This situation came to a head today when the Placeodermsian KDC representative, former senator Nick Greaves, delivered an ultimatum: If Yamakan does not release the technical package and allow others within the Kamooko Pact to produce the KR1, Kamooko will simply permit their own industrial conglomerate, Dinoponera Heavy Industries, to reverse engineer the rifle and dump it on the commercial market as an open-source design.

"I would rather buy from some two-bit Trekkish firm than these extortionists," he said in a press conference. "At least then we'll get the rifles we were promised."

Yamakan has protested, saying that this move would be a flagrant theft of their intellectual property and that allowing other manufacturers to produce the gun at this time would lead to poor quality and nonstandard product. With their current tooling, components produced by Dinopernia, Metro Arms, Calen Royal, and the other major Kamooko manufacturers will not be compatible with those made by Yamakan. All this to say nothing of manufacturers outside the Pact.

With their current tooling, components produced by Dinopernia, Metro Arms, Calen Royal, and the other major Kamooko manufacturers will not be compatible with those made by Yamakan. All this to say nothing of manufacturers outside the Pact.

Naturally in any scenario that would allow it, the Federation was there, offering a variant of their own reliable M1997B rifle in 4.5x47mm KP, the M1997XKP. A bullpup assault rifle chambered in 4.7x47mm KP. Weighs in at 3.1kg, and has a length of roughly 670mm, with a 500mm barrel. Features rails at the 3 and 9 o’clock. Unlike the standard Federation version, it would see its fire rate raised to 800rpm through the use of a lightened bolt, along with, instead of the fixed Nord-Kantara 3.5x zoom sight, a KP complaint rail system to allow the mounting of their own optics, and instead of the normal grip, a rail below the front of the weapon to allow KP members to mount their own grips or underbarrel launchers. The Federation of Northern People was offering this at ₥1050 ($2,100 USD) per weapon produced within the Federation, or ₥560 ($1,120 USD) per weapon produced by KP members states, with technical specifications being sold to all KP member states as part of the deal. While initially claiming the rights to all spare parts to be produced by Helsinki Arms within the Federation, this had proven flexible, and the option for KP members to produce their own spare parts could be negotiated. The sole hard stop, it would seem, would be the right to export the M1997XKP to non KP members, which would require Federation approval.

Kamooko Defence Command Maritime Forces West, District A, Stallenbourg.

Eric F. Banshaw stood in front of the mirror. This room he was in would be his new office, it had everything he needed; a Printer, a Fax Machine, 2 monitors attached to a powerful desktop computer, and a mini-fridge with a lot of water bottles inside. He took one out of the mini-fridge and took a sip. His uniform was simple but precise. He clicked his white rope to his chest, his medals, and his bars. Eric then attached his stars to his shoulders, he is a four-star admiral of the Stallenbourgian Navy, one of three as of current, with the newest one taking his former position as commander of the home fleet. He combed through his hair one final time before putting on his hat. He grabbed the paper on his desk and headed out to the scheduled ceremony.

In the elevator he read over the bullet points on his paper several times, running the thoughts through his head several times over before the elevator stopped.
Eric walked down the corridor, passing some of his friends, captains and various other officers discussing with KP officers on strategy or what they were going to drink after the ceremony. Eric then stopped before the door to the ceremony room. Standing at the entrance was three-star General William Bates, an old marine corps friend of his since they were kids. Bates didn't talk much usually, he was a career soldier, but a vigilant commander. They both shook hands and engaged in a brief conversation;

"Have you heard anything from the wife about your son William?"
"Well yes, he’s doing pretty good in school, broke his arm in a baseball accident however, the cost was covered by our insurance policy thankfully. He should be fine in a year or two, but how’s your daughters? I heard they just turned, what was it 5 and 7 years old?"
Eric chuckled, "They're doing good, they see each other a lot in school but not in the same class. Lucy's teacher Mrs. Bachner tells me she thinks Lucy has something up with her, she isn't reading as well as the other kids in her class, but she makes a good artist! I got a drawing in the mail earlier this week, it was her best attempt to draw my former ship the Davenport. I think she did pretty good with the outline, but the colours were all over the place really. Pink on the mast, purple for the gun, green for the hull, and what I can best describe as reddish-yellow for a helicopter."
William laughed, "Well if she's any better than my son she might as well be Michelangelo as far as I’m concerned!"
They both chuckled and turned to the door. "I have seen you give speeches before Eric, your gonna do just fine with these people I can guarantee."
"You really think so, I’m not that good."
"Don't worry, once you get used to it they're going to want to listen to you every time you open your mouth." William chuckled jokingly as they passed through the doorway and sat down in the front row.

A couple dozen representatives from all branches of the Kamooko pact were there, all chatting with each other as friends or about their job to others. Everyone had either coffee or water, mostly the newer members chose water, while the older ones preferred coffee with their bags under their eyes.
The doors were closed as the ceremony began, everyone hushed as the loud speaker announced; "Attention, Attention. Welcome to the change of command ceremony, the Commander shall be here soon so please remain seated." A few brief minutes passed before a colour guard bearing flags of the Kamooko pact and member nations marched into position and stood at parade rest at both sides of the stage.
Another set of bootsteps, this time just one man, came out from behind the curtains on the left-hand side. It was Admiral Perch Murano, a four-star admiral of the Placeoderms Navy nearing his 60's, and currently in charge of the KP Maritime Forces West. The crowd clapped at his arrival, as he was a particularly beloved for his charisma. He raised a hand, friendly waving to his fellow brothers in arms.
Everyone sat back down and re-adjusted themselves as they watched and waited.

Perch adjusted himself and cleared his throat; "My fellow countrymen and friends from other nations, I welcome you to this ceremony. This particular ceremony is very special, as it is the last time any of you will see me in this uniform. As it stands, most of you know that I am in fact getting quite old now." He gestured to his face and its collection of wrinkles and eye patch.
"I have served in this position for one year now, and have been in the Placeoderm naval forces for over twenty years now, but in this position, I have mostly been setting up the administration of this new office for my replacement." He rested his hands on the podium as he checked his papers.
"I must tell you the real reason why I am leaving, my doctor diagnosed me with aboulomania last month. I no longer see a reason for me to be in such an important po- position." He stammered his words while gripping the podium with his left hand.
"The man who will be taking my place-" he paused as a search light found Eric, and then extended his hand outwards, "Admiral Banshaw from Stallenbourg." The crowd clapped as Eric stood up and walked onto the stage, shaking Perch's hand. A picture was taken by several reporters in the crowd as the ceremony proceeded.

A box was brought out by a KP Guard, from behind the stage, and presented to Perch, who grasped the box and placed it upon the table next to the podium. Opening it revealed a sheathed sword, with a holster. Perch grabbed the holster and handed it to Eric, who put it on. Perch grasped the sword and unsheathed it, inspecting the blade, and then handing the sheath to Eric, who attached it to the holster. Perch then passed the sword into Erics hands. He held it straight up, inspecting the blade, before placing it back into the sheath. The crowd clapped again as they shook hands once more, with Perch then sitting down where Eric had.

Eric placed the paper down on the podium and adjusted the microphone, as he was a bit taller than Perch. "Thank you, Admiral Murano. Now, as the new commander of KP Maritime Forces West, I would like to say that I am honoured to be a part of this alliance. All of the nations that participate in this alliance couldn't be more different in size, language, or their cultures, but war unites all of us together. The goal of a safer Markion comes ever closer as the days go on, but to reach that goal we should be strong, willing and able, and must remain vigilant against those who wish to destroy our ways of life and happiness. That is why we are all here, to protect and save everyday people from its most devious and scheming kind. As one of the youngest individuals to take this office, I feel grateful that I will have enough time to exert some change upon Markion, for the good of man. I might as well tell you all a little about myself."

"I’m thirty-four years old, and I grew up primarily in the city of Stallenbourg, with the past sixteen-years being spent climbing the ranks of the Stallenbourgian Navy. I have a good wife, and my two daughters, both of which are very young. I love them so much. For my career I have served on many different ships from corvettes to carriers, leading and being a part of several important operations in my time, sometimes under Kamooko pact command. Joining the Navy has to be one of the greatest things that I have ever done in my life, and I feel like a broken record, but I am honoured to be taking this position, and I will serve with the best interest to the Kamooko pact to the best of my abilities." The crowed clapped again, as the doors were opened and the loudspeaker came on; "Attention, Attention, this concludes the ceremony."

Eric walked out to dozens of officers giving him pats on the back and hugs from his best-known friends, and a lot of handshakes with those who Eric going to get know very well very soon.

Apartment in Downtown Kamooko, Placeoderms

Katrin had just finished packing the last of her belongings, and looked around her small apartment. Well, it was not that much as she got a good look at it, clothes, her uniforms, and a few things she had collected from her time here. She picked up her tablet and looked at the article again.
https://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=490470#p37638798

The article was short and simple. Military board had a general disagreement, and from the letter she received from the Queen, it seemed other deals were made in place, so she pulled the signature. Which sucked for Katrin, she had gotten a promotion because of this job, and now that was over. Luckily for her, she got reassigned to Admiral Son's staff, and would be moving to Ameria to handle the In Processing staff there. Something about JVP Markion HQ or whatever.

She would have thought over this more, but a knock came to her door. "One Second." She yelled from her room, and moved to the front door. "Yes? Ahh, the movers. Everything is in the room in the back, only a few books... Yes, yes. Thank you." She said as the three man crew walked in and a few trips, had cleared out the boxes.

Alone again, Katrin thought of her time at the KP. She remembered when she brought her own chair in, and spun around in it, in the meeting room. The time she said in her office, her talks with the Amerian and Stallenbourg reps. Good, people, she would miss them. She thought back on Son's words, about how they could add to the pact, and about what the Queen saw when looking at the KP. She now wondered what had come about to make this move.

"You know what." She began to say to herself, as she grabbed her carry on bag. "Son never did send me that aid" She laughed as she headed out. She had one last thing to do before flying to Joint Base Freital in Ameria, and that was to have one last dish of that Placeoderm Fish. Something she would miss more than anything else, was the wonder food.

To whom it may concern,

By order of the Crown of the JVP, and my power as the High Queen. I formally Withdraw the Signature of the JVP from the Kamooko Accords. Effective as time of you receiving this, all JVP Personal working for and in the Kamooko Pact, with here to be relieved of their duties, and relocated.

We wish the best to all remaining members of the Pact.

~High Queen Vivi Fuchs~

"This is JBC, and in a shocking turn of events, the High Queen has pulled her signature on the Kamooko Accords, thus pulling the JVP out of the Kamooko Pact. A statement from the palace was given on the matter.

"Do to disagreements with the JVP Military Advisory border, The High Queen, having added in a pull out clause, has withdrawn the JVP from the Kamooka Accords and the Kamooka Pact. Individual agreements with KP nations will be reached between those nations and the JVP at a later date. "

"Does this move mean a new focus in the Markion Sphere or a withdrawal of the Penguins eye. Only time can tell."

Minister Drago Zevnik released a statement earlier today under the authority of Autarch Tennfjord. The statement’s topic was about travel restrictions as tensions have risen in the southern Drejveškan Region. As the flames of the Cousins War dies down, conflict between Tyria, Žeknija, and Phoenixia causes rifts in the local area and puts strains on national relations.

“My fellow Slaveškans, in a world of danger we must be ever vigilant to any looming threat. We as a nation must look out for our brothers and sisters. A figure was once quoted saying...a bomb knows no discrimination...in an effort to keep our citizens safe in these turbulent times, with information provided to me by the Office of State Intelligence, and under the authority of Autarch Tennfjord, I am releasing a statement on travel restrictions...” Minister Zevnik said during his televised statement.

Travel Restrictions

Tyria - All travel banned
NLFN Territories - All travel banned
Žeknija - Travel restricted to essential personnel with orders
Phoenixia - Travel restricted to essential personnel with orders
Green Union - Travel restricted to essential personnel with proper documentation
Stravel - Travel restricted to essential personnel with proper documentation
Rudony - Travel restricted to essential personnel on relief missions only

Travel restrictions do not effect trade at this current time

Admiral Fengtai Wuyong
Kurakchevsk, Empire of Treko
Naval Dockyards of Kurakchevsk

The naval dockyards of Kurakchevsk were bustling as they usually were, however, a few naval patrol vessels were in for a retrofitting. Albeit they weren’t the pride and joy of the Trekkish Navy I made it my personal business to look over each naval ship that docked. Each vessel I visited I embarked and talked to each commander of the vessel on the operational history of the vessel. After talking to leadership I always made sure to speak with the crew. I found that it was a great morale booster for the men. That being said, I made no mention of being crowned Czar or my marriage to the Czarina. It was better to retain that information back for safety reasons and personally it would boost morale even more when the man they met would be Czar. As I continued my routine of embarking on vessels, talking to the captain and the crew, my work phone began to vibrate continuously. I excused myself and disembarked from the vessel before answering my work phone which greeted me with a familiar voice.

"Minister of War, Sofia Pühvel, what's the occasion? I'm very busy at the moment with inspecting a few vessels at the naval dockyards in Kurakchevsk and I wish to continue with the matter," I stated as I looked over the rest of the patrol vessels that were at the docks.

"Don't give me lip, Admiral Wuyong," replied Sofia, her voice calm and sweet, but with an underlying feeling of hate, "The fleet is to be moved out of the Strait of Zeleny,"

"What's the occasion?" I inquired as I began walking back to the military car I was provided, "The fleet hasn't been moved since the start of the war,"

A heavy sigh came from the other end line, "You always wanted a damn explanation... The Czarina is taking the government of JVP up on an offer to help aid in the searching of Tyrian vessels in GDU waters. She was weary at first but since they offered a hand in peace first she is willing to go along with this plan. So you are to move the fleet from the strait of Zeleny to GDU waters in the Gulf of Drejveska to help in the searching. Do you understand?"

"If the Czarina wills it then it shall be done, Sofia. You know I won't go against her decisions. I'll send the order out once I return to my office," I replied as I entered my car, "Long live the Czarina,"
