Maybe we—" He paused, and the two ribbons that had gone through the door shifted to a brighter red. Outside, one ribbon fled back to Caleb, and the other split, tearing at its own strings and leaving little bits and pieces of it waving in the air for a moment as the new paths of ribbon crawled along the wall, spreading along it as a series of mesmerizing fractals. As it did so, the original torn pieces would repair themselves, as though an invisible tailor were at work, and soon enough the front door was covered in a beautiful array of curled fabric that somehow felt infinitely familiar, yet so distant, like a long-lost memory. One's mind could recognize that, yes, this was fabric on the wall, but of what sort? Why could one put the name "fabric" to it, yet not say it was so with total confidence? If one dared to touch it, it was soft and warm, like a beloved one's touch, yet it carried a note of unreachable.

Elijah looked ahead at the shopkeeper, slightly smiling in an attempt to be genial. "Sir, we frankly have no interest in criminal activity," he said as an aged paper soared out of one of his coat pockets and fluttered in front of him, suspended in the air by magic. "Ah, Domain, wonderful, could you— you will? Thank you." The page flew back into his pocket, and Caleb tugged at his robe. "Mr. 'lijah sir, I think someone out there is kinda mad. My ribbons can sense them. I-I don't like this, Mr. 'lijah sir." The ribbon that had just been outside slithered in the air towards the shopkeeper, but Elijah grabbed it before it could get to far, shaking his head at Caleb. "Careful now, Caleb."
"No, I'm just sorry, Mr. 'lijah sir, I didn't want to mess—"
"Hold on, now. We're not in jail yet, assuming we did..." He looked back at the piece of ribbon outside, and though he could not directly see the blossom of fabric, he knew it was there, in front of the wall, and he was certain that a growing crowd was beginning to become mesmerized by Caleb's display. "This may not end as well as I was hoping," Elijah said. He looked down at one of his pockets, hoping that the response would be soon.

Caleb, meanwhile, was starting to dilly-dally with the fabrics. He was still a tad fearful and disappointed, but he came to this store to look over its textiles, and he wasn't going to let the local police get in the way of that. Besides they weren't even there yet. "Oh, Mr. 'lijah sir," the boy said, "You do have money, right? I think this one piece of cloth looks pretty good." He pulled on his right arm, and the black threads linking it to his waist snapped off as he brushed a finger over the fabric. The little apparatus on his arm whirred to life and began to hammer down on its platform, creating a perfect replica of it that he grabbed. Holding it between his hands, his shivering eye appraised it. "Nice and breathable, very comfortable." He stretched out the sample he had produced. "I can use this. Hey, Mr. Shopke—" He was cut off when he sensed the legionaries outside with his ribbon, which raveled itself back together and retreated into the store.

"Mr. 'lijah sir, I think a bunch of angry folks are coming here." Caleb looked towards the shopkeeper. "Mr. Shopkeeper sir, I'm real sorry about this, I just wanted to buy some fabric. I make clothes, see?" One hand touched the spool at his waist and pulled out a thread, and the other deconstructed itself in front of him, his fingers becoming streams of fabric that interlaced and wove into one another as some arcane ritual. The other touched the one that was making that something in the air, and the four spools at Caleb's waist spun as their thread was integrated into what he was making. After a few seconds, it formed: it was a simple, but colorful dress. "See?"
The Dollmaker sighed. "I think that I best go deal with the folks outside. Caleb..." The soldiers shouted. "Well, I guess you better come along with me."

"... okay, Mr. 'lijah sir." The boy's leg and arm deformed into a mess of fabric, the former wrapping around his chaperone's neck and the latter around his leg. In a quick, deonstructive whirl, Caleb was now holding onto Elijah's back, albeit flattened and holding onto him as a sloth holds a tree, and his four red ribbons were shortened so that they would not be seen from the front. His head bent around so that he could still see; he was a little afraid of the dark, as any child would be.
With umbrella-cane in his left hand, Elijah exited the store, and held up one hand with its palm in the air as he paused, one leg crossed over the other and his umbrella counterbalancing it. "Delightful to meet with you folks," he said. "Now, I heard something about a license for a construct, presumably the fellow on my back..." His free hand wandered to his chin, thinking. "I'm afraid that I've none." His voice was flippant, excited, even, as his umbrella was swung towards him, rolled on his wrist, and landed back on the ground. "As such, may I ask for some time to make one? Had I known that I would have needed one for my dear boy here, I would certainly have acquired one. But alas, I am a lost foreigner, and truth be told, I've not a clue how I got here." Despite his nonchalant attitude, nothing about him seemed dangerous: his umbrella remained firmly planted in the floor, his outermost cloak billowed too much to hide anything, and his clothes looked unpadded.

At most, the pockets in his robes contained something; perhaps a perceptive fellow might call them small figurines, but it was hard to tell with the looseness of his pockets. Caleb, meanwhile, remained clinging on Elijah's back, his shivering eye still staring at the wall in front of him while the crack where his other eye should've been was still visible in the doorway. If any of the legionaries dared to flank Elijah, Caleb would persist as an imprint on his chaperone's back, trying not to be noticed even despite what Elijah said, for he knew that some of his abilities could be thoroughly frightening.

Above The Imperial Palace

Postby Notalien » Thu Jul 23, 2020 1:41 am

The General is quiet, he is watching, thinking... waiting. And not for what one might think. There was a lot to see from up here, and The General saw it all. While others were going over mission plans, he was watching... and waiting.
"Inquiry: You ever feel like you are being watched?"

"Response: You have already inquired about this,"

"Response: It is a skill."

"Response: It is paranoia."

"Suggestive Response: I suggest you learn to be paranoid."

"Response: I will inform the higher ups of this. You shouldn't be this paranoid."

The General said nothing in return. They could see most of the city from up here. So many people. So many people with the skill. Atleast one of them would feel it, at least one of them would know that, somebody, somewhere, was watching them.

Phaerix, Merchant District

Centurion Agorix turned to the magus, who had been checking to see if Elijah had been lying.
"This man is not lying, or at least, does not believe he is lying."
Agorix sighed and ordered his men to put their rifles down.
"Apologies sir. Unlicensed constructs have caused great pain and suffering to the citizens of the Empire during the war, so they tend to overreact."
Agorix's eyes then narrowed and began studying Elijah's face.
"Wait a minute. You're the Emperor's guest! If you will follow me sir, we will escort you to the palace."
Agorix lowered his voice to a whisper.
"I would recommend you let us escort you. There's been some trouble with unruly commoners. It's dangerous for magi or foreigners to travel the streets alone."

Malik sighed, it was getting long in the day and he felt that it was safe to head outside again, he bid his new friends good bye and left with Aither out to the halls again, the two in tow they headed towards the palace front doors and went out to the palaces courtyard, from there Malik sniffed the outdoors, and looked around, something strange was afoot but at least this time it wasn’t about him or his entourage.
Malik Velkari, 8 years old, Male, Tescorosso, King of Alegeharia
Malik Velkari is a fluffy bipedal digitigrade creature that is an angel hailing from the planet Celeste. He belongs to the kingdom of Alegeharia and has a brother known as Aither Velkari. The Tescorosso breed is a mix of red panda, wolf, and german shepherd. In some aspects Malik is a bit of a time traveler, being an archangel from the frost realm (Prince to King Arend) he has been alive since 1304.
Celeste is FT based, but in the year of 2021, it is currently ranging temps in 65-75 Fahrenheit. The planet is Earth like, and space faring. It hides its future tech within Medieval architecture and magic to appear less advanced.

The General stared at the furred primitive below. They were beggining to feel it, the tingle in their skull.

"Order: If you are going to stare at that screen you can what intelegence you are gathering."

The General was not a fan of having his thoughts interrupted.
"Response: There is a furred primitive standing on the upper platform. There is another primitive being escorted n The Primitive's Control Center with what appears to be a simulacram of a being on their back. There is a flying figure, though it is unknown own if there intention is to go to the Primitive's control center. There is another figure that is another figure being escorted to The Palace, who I suspect to be a corrupted. There is also a giant winged reptilianoid creature near the Primitive's control center."

"Congratulatory Response: Thank-you. Order: Let me know of anything else that you see that may be useful."

It was late in the evening on the first day, a few hours after Malik and his brother had left them, that Argalaic and Dontas left the lounge where they had consumed a tad more wine that they had been intending, and decided to go walk it off round the battlements of the Palace.

"The Emperor must have gotten caught up with other guests and wedding preparations, Don. Come, let's wander the walls- I'm sure his guards won't mind at this hour."

Argalaic and Dontas, after many wrong turns and false starts, found themselves not on the walls but on a balcony of one of the Palace's towers. The evening air was warm, and the sun whilst not set was lowering in the west. Birds circled above, and the noise of the city could be heard floating on the wind.

"It's a fine night, Arg. What you'd give to be flying on a night like this, eh?"
"On a night like this? I'd fly straight from Roskilde to Reiverguard and pick up Lady Rachel. Styrax must start to grow accustomed to her flying with us."
"You think Rachel would enjoy climbing onto the back of a two hundred year old, forty foot high, one hundred foot long firebreathing dragon?"
"All women love dragons, Don."

Dontas stared off into the distance.

"You're marrying one of the most beautiful women in the Realms, Arg. Even with all your baggage, eh?"

Argalaic's eye's narrowed.

"I love it when you bring up the falsehoods levelled against me."
"Look, all I meant was-"
"Don, you've seen the boy's hair colour. Black as soot. Wend blood beats all. If he was mine, he'd be red of hair like me. That is the end of the matter."

The two friends stood in silence, gazing out at the sun. The Emperor's men would surely know where to find them.

High above the clouds, she soared. Caught on a southward wind, she would be carried to her master within two turns of the sun. She sensed the evil hanging over him, wherever he was. She would find him and protect him.

With a great beat of her might, massive wings, Styrax flew on.

"Response: Affirmative."

The General knew what they were thinking. They also knew it was a terrible idea.

Elijah smiled and tilted his head. "I would not lie to impede any manner of justice," he said. He paused as he listened to the explanation, and a dark frown — one of offense — grew on his expression. "How unfortunate," he muttered, his frown turning to a stern neutrality. "I'll keep that in mind, though I must say that it is gravely disheartening to hear that, as a Dollmaker and Golemancer themselves, a maker and mage of what you'd call constructs." He paused and gave a slight smile. "I'll keep mine under control, though, don't worry."
Caleb whispered in his ear. "I don't think we should've come here, Mr. 'lijah sir. I don't think they like me..."
"Nonsense," he replied. "It'll be fine." He breathed a sigh of relief at the news that his diplomat allies back home had indeed manage to inform the civilization there, though he wondered why they didn't research it more. Then again, his memories of the past several hours were fuzzy, and he figured that it would be pointless to question anything of that matter. Odd events such as this were commonplace in his realm.

At Agorix's request, Elijah nodded. "I'll go," he said, his voice low enough so that only the other man could hear. "We can defend ourselves just fine, but I'd prefer not to have to. Wouldn't end very well, I think." With that, he would toss out his hand a little as though clearing his cloak, and he would be ready to go. Caleb, meanwhile whispered back at Elijah as they presumably left. "I think I must've scared that man inside there too bad, I don't like this, and I usually like scaring people." Caleb's eye dimmed briefly. "Look at 'em, I think they're afraid." His hand unwove itself, and the tendrils of fabric wrapped around Elijah's throat like a scarf, until eventually the boy become nothing more than that around his chaperone's neck, his eye now looking forward like a jewel, his four red ribbons fluttering back in the wind, and his chest-crystal just below his eye. Yet, looking back at it, or even being victim to its gaze, one could tell right away that something else was housed in Elijah, and that Caleb was poor at mimicry. Perhaps he noticed this: he unraveled his mask-like head and distributed it out as a series of tendrils over Elijah's clothes, so that nobody could even tell that there had been an eye.

He was still watching though; not with the ominous sense of some object given life, but rather, with a masterful tailor's eye as he closely inspected the attire of the natives of the area. Inasmuch as he didn't wish to frighten anyone, he loved clothing and textiles, and he couldn't help but savor the fashions before him. Occasionally, brief ribbons would extend forward from out of Elijah's clothes, but they would just as quickly flee back, afraid to frighten anyone. He was displeased, but he didn't wish to show his desire to analyze, make, remake, mix, remix. As brilliant and innovative as he was, he knew that he would always have to be looking into the newest fashions and different styles or techniques — no point in making the same thing over and over again. Some wore the rich clothes of a merchant class, he assumed, and others occasionally had attire of subpar conditions, or he could at least sense a decline. "Control yourself, Caleb..." he muttered, the ribbons in front of him contorting back and forth as they resisted the irresistible pull of mending clothing.
"Something the matter?" Elijah glanced down at his scarf.
"So many clothes to fix... so many new fabrics..."
"Well, just hold on, yes?" The Dollmaker chuckled, hoping that the journey to the palace would be uneventful, considering that his occupation ought to be detested in the land he was in.

Notalien wrote:The General stared at the furred primitive below. They were beggining to feel it, the tingle in their skull...

"Mr. 'lijah sir," Caleb whispered, "I think something's above us." His mask and eye tilted upwards, but sensed nothing, and he considered his options of making himself noticed without bothering the natives. The most obvious method was to clamber off of Elijah and fire a pillar of fabric above, but that was sure to make trouble, as would anything entailing the creation of so much. Perhaps he could manipulate a thread, and see if they might notice that? He considered using his standard fold-himself-and-teleport, but he didn't want to give any cause for concern. Something like that could no doubt be easily detected.
He settled on a single thread. A piece of ribbon extended forward, but no farther than any prior strings, and tore itself loose while hiding its own magical aura, letting itself fly into the wind as a little speck no larger than one's finger. Then, as Elijah and his entourage proceeded forward, and the single string was likely abandoned, it would pretend to fly up on the wind, up, up, up, until it reached a spot up in the sky. There it would stay, blowing around in the wind as nothing more than a string.

So it seemed, at least. Perhaps for those fellows up above, they might notice it, the way that it felt like a faded memory, something so intimately familiar yet so infinitely distant. It was something that you almost, just almost, could remember the existence of, but it stopped just short of clarity. Advanced sensors might find no such thing as it in a database, yet simultaneously, that string had the potential of anything, as though it were imagination incarnate. It was a curious thing, that was for sure, and it had blown itself so far away and so far up that it was unlikely to be sensed very well from below. Perhaps it might be of interest to The General and his Diplomat? Though, if they approached it, the curiosity wouldn't last long, as the string would unravel into a single "hiya."
Rather friendly, that introduction, especially for a peculiar thing as it, but Caleb would sense it.

His hand unwove itself, and the tendrils of fabric wrapped around Elijah's throat like a scarf, until eventually the boy become nothing more than that around his chaperone's neck, his eye now looking forward like a jewel, his four red ribbons fluttering back in the wind, and his chest-crystal just below his eye.

The General continued watching. Always keeping an eye on the ones below. Then he noticed something, something someone less sharp would have missed. The Simulacram moved, too release... a string? Wait, were did it go? He gave an order to The On-Board-Artifical-Intelegince-System (OBAIS)
"Order: OBAIS, track the object that the Simulacram released."

Malik:

Malik found his friends outside with a new short person near them and ran towards toward at full speed running on all fours like a common dog, his tail flapped in the speed as he rushed over to them then skidded to a halt kipping up the grass on the garden realizing they were on a balcony, with a whimper he dropped his cloak at his paws and looked around shaking his shoulders and back some as he wings start to grow out and stretch.
Finally free of of confinement he takes a few stretching flaps before making a powerful flap to reach up to the balcony, at least he thought he did only to land short catching the ledge with his hand, he eeped and scrambled up the edge with ease due to his training his wings disappearing just as quickly as they came.

Aither:

Aither practically threw himself on the ground as he smacked himself in the head watching Maliks antics. “What if that was a private conversation little brother…” He chewed on his bamboo shoot some more as he looked over to the balcony and himself, he had no wings like his brother, he was but a ‘common’ red panda, while he could summon a phoenix of fire to get him up there he shook his head and checked his pockets.
He cursed silently not finding what he was looking for and started scaling the side of the building to join his brother, his anger slowly rising. Once he got up there his eyes were practically on fire, one could probably see steam venting off the red pandas’ body as his smacked Malik on the back of the head causing him to yip in shock. “You fool, what did I say about going places that are difficult for me to follow?” He eyed the apologetic looking mutt and turned to their friends and strangers. “My apologies if we disturbed anything.

Argalaic smiled at Malik and Aither.

"Ah hello again, friends. No need to apologise, King Malik- Lord Brogar was merely introducing himself. Well met, ser- I am..."

Argalaic stopped, and looked at Dontas with a cough.

"...Oh, Twelve times damn you...*ahem* You are now in the presence of Argalaic, of the House Wend, Defender of the Dragon's Keep, Prince of Kalmarnavia, son of Jaeharys, of the House Wend, the First of his name, King of Kalmarnavia, Lord of the Six Realms, Ruler of the Skies and Defender of the Faith, descendant of Argalaic the Conqueror, of the blood of Eralia and the Blood of the Dragon. I am Ser Dontas, of House Greenbow, grandson of Lord Euston Greenbow, Lord of Oakdeep."

Argalaic gestured behind Lord Brogar and his men to Ser Jace and Ser Gerold.

"This is Ser Gerold Hogg and Ser Jace of the Hill, of the Grand Order of the Knights of the Nine. Two of the finest warriors in all of Kalmarnavia."

The mechanised armour of the knights clunked and hissed as they stopped, their eyes watching the dwarf guards.

Dontas gestured to his own armour.

"Your's is a fine armour, my Lord, and well crafted. Mine was a gift from Prince Argalaic, forged by the royal smiths themselves using furnaces fired by the breath of a dragon. It is not only mechanised, but the dragonflame imbibes a certain...quality. It is malleable yet durable, and rather impervious."

Argalaic smiled at Lord Brogar.

"Tell me, my Lord- have more of the Emperor's guests arrived? I do hope he is not being kept too preoccupied by events. I trust your journey here from your fiefdom was pleasant?"

Malik:

Malik giggled at the long introduction through a covered maw and cleared his throat. “And I am Malik Velkari!” He waves and smiles. “At your service good service good sir, it is a pleasure to meet you, As the big one over there said, “he points to Aither. “Sorry for just… dropping in.” Malik strokes the back of his head partially out of slight embarrassment and partially to sooth the faint throb from the smack.

Aither:

“Here you dropped this.” Aither dumped the cloak onto Malik and extended a paw to shake the dwarfs. “My name is Aither Velkari, I am the king’s brother and apparently at times his sitter.” Aither was still chewing on a bamboo chute as he talked as he stared the dwarf up and down then at the other guards. “This all seems rather modern. “He stares at the mechs closer studying their design tilting his head as he formulates a blueprint of sorts in his head. “Pistons are fragile though, and with that load to also support the body a person, that has to be slow to move in is it not?”

"Hmm, weel, th' lest time Ah saw th' emperur he was arguin' wi' puckle ay his wife's personal guards. Somethin' abit demandin' she explain wa she almost hud a visitin' royal killed."

Brorgar's guard burned red and whispered into Brorgar's ear that he was not seeing things, and that he had just insulted a royal. Brorgar simply laughed and smiled at Malik.
"Ah was jist jokin'. Malik, was it? Hopefully yoo're findin' th' bide enjoyable. Besides th' whole framed fur mudder fiasco."

With that, Ironfall lead the drunk Brorgar back to his quarters, their guards chuckling behind them.

The Diplomat thinks for a few seconds. They decides to abandon their old plan.

The General had to reluctantly agree, that would be a good way to make a major impression. A show of their technological capabilities to stay hidden for so long.

He looks up seeing lights appear then leans over to Aither in a low tone. “Is that one of ours?” He looks around then and acts surprised, gauging the general level of shock from the surrounding people. “Oh no! What is that… thing?” Malik was a terrible actor, which is why he was not one, so he shrugged and kept staring at it curiously. “how peculiar, for it to hover like that.” Malik was watching the ship but also kept his eye around the area something seemed off suddenly and clutched his short sword.

Aither:

Aither shrugged at Malik’s question and put on some sunglasses. It was bright, it was probably the brightest thing he has seen since visiting and looked around at everyone else, guards were mobilizing and raising shields while slaves and other staff were heading for cover, he sighed as things unfolded, but he watched as things unfolded holding his scabbard instinctively kicking the blade out some with his left hands thumb.

The General looked down. The Primitives were in panic, as was their place.
"Statement: The Primitive's are in panic. We seem to have caused some to activate their fight response."

"Response: It is unlikely that they will be able to do us any harm while in The UTC."
The Diplomat turned to the pilot.
"Order: Activate the speaker."

The General took this opportunity to discreetly to sense the drone. It had caught the string.

Dontas, Ser Jace and Ser Gerold unseathed their swords and leapt in front of Argalaic. The prince instinctively grabbed Malik and Aither, pulling them in behind the armoured knights.

"Stand back your Grace!"

Argalaic peered over the shoulder of Dontas.

"What in the name of the Twelve? It appears to be...some sort of flying machine. It's incredible, beautiful even."

Dontas swore loudly.

"Ser Jace, go and rouse the Emperor's guards. Now! Tell them the Palace may be under attack!"

Jace sprinted off from the balcony, yelling as he went.

"Guards! Guards! Come quickly, damn you! Come quickly!"

Malik:

Malik gasps as he is pushed back by argalaic, but he clambers up over onto the top of the guard and reveals his wings yet again this time forming up his halo causing a blinding light and floats up to the ship. He lands on top and peers into the view port inspecting for window or camera before finding a “view” and speaks, booming through piercing glowing blue eyes. “You are not of this realm, where have come from?” He stares deeply into the port trying to make shapes out but unsure, “This is definitely not ours…” Malik thought. He held out a paw and phased in a shield and sword of similar blue light, it wasn’t a glow that was technical but one of magic.

Aither:

“Now he’s done it…” Aither thought watching Malik move in headstrong and without thinking. He forgot how this nation views magic! Now what are they going to do at the sight of angel in their midsts. “We better get ready for anything you two.” He was talking to the guards but indirectly he was talking to the royals. “What skills you have you better provide now, Malik has done something he shouldn’t have but alas I guess it couldn’t be helped…"

The General stared at The Primitive's face through the camera.

The Diplomat speaks, the speakers amplify his voice.
"Greeting: We come in peace! Informational Statement: We are here on a diplomatic mission to witness the verification of The Leader's Exclusive-Sexual-Relations-Contract! Request: Furred one, can you please get off The Universal Transport Vehicle?"

The General remained quiet, the mini stealth drone would fly in circles for now. He would call it to him when he has an chance to discreetly get the string.

Imperial Palace, Tower of the Sun

The garrison of the Tower of the Sun were roused, and all one-hundred guardsmen, armed with high-powered rifles, aimed at the flying ship. The two sixty-eight pound cannons swerved towards the ship, and the five archmagi in the tower at the time prepared to summon a great Titan to smash the ship. When the ship spoke and said it had come to join the wedding, most of the garrison relaxed. Except for the Garrison Commander, Decius Cornelius Tacitus, who yelled for his men to keep their rifles on the ship while he alerted the Emperor. Within moments, Emperor Titus was on the balcony. He nodded to the royals and then turned to look at the ship. He whistled at its design.
"If you're here for the wedding, I would recommend you leave your...ship and come inside the palace! I believe you're frightening my guests. It would also put my guards at ease, with them being able to keep in eye on you."

From down below, Caleb sensed his string being caught, and for a while he allowed it to be, watching as the spaceship decloaked. "Mr. 'lijah sir, is that a friend of ours?" he asked. "I don't recognize that ship." His chaperone looked at it with an observant boredom on his face. "Well," he said, keeping his voice low so that it would be mainly Caleb who would hear him, "no, I don't think that's familiar, but then again, I rarely ever talk with the futuristic folks. Whoever they are, I suppose they must be the sort that tries to show off their technological prowess." That piece of aged paper from earlier slipped out of his pocket, but a string from Caleb caught it.
"Mr. 'lijah sir, you don't need to send her out, I've got a string up there."
"Ah, really now? I never noticed it."

"I didn't want anyone to. Thought it might scare the people here if they saw me send it up, since they don't like me." He paused.
"I don't think those sciencey folk up there are people that you'd want to scare, not at this time, at least," Elijah said. "Maybe wait a little."
"Mmm... I wasn't planning to. I don't trust them. Adults with big ships are probably dangerous if I spook 'em, and I don't wanna ruin the party."
"Oh, yes, bvut that string you sent..." He turned his head up, sensing the familiar yet distant aura of Caleb's fabric. "What's in it?"
"Just a little greeting. Nothing much." As the string was grasped by that drone, the strand would split itself off from where it was grasped, and that free piece would blow a short distance away before stopping midair, staying there for a few seconds, just long enough for its peculiar behavior to be noticed. Then, the string would grow, forming a simple, "hiya," no doubt in front of those on the balcony. Caleb had not expected it to be so close, and as he telepathically connected himself to his string, he realized that his little display of magic would have been noticed by far more than just his intended targets.

Damnage was still practicing his "vocabulary improvement" for the Angels. He'd had just enough time to get the local
yocals
constabulary know about a
pimping/theft
child care ring and a
kidnapping
family redistribution ring before he let someone else win a
burping
respectful tone contest at one of the local inns and he continued on his way.

Sunup saw him drop to the ground, assume his 'noid form and start to tire. He was, after all, nocturnal by birth. He had been given directions to the palace, and it was time for the last leg of the journey. He could tell this because he started to see other congregations as he got closer.

Fortunately, there were things to keep him from nodding off. One of the others, whom they referred to as a "construct," whatever that was, caused quite a stir as he went through a fabric shop. Turned out to be a false alarm.

Things almost got exciting for a moment as another congregation decloaked in a ship over the center of the city, but they just announced that they were yet another congregation, not looking for trouble, and let things go on normally. Damnage didn't see the problem with it.

So he fell in behind the 'noid who had said he'd be leading the others to the palace and hoped his diplomatic papers would work when he needed to pass them out...and that no one was would see through his illusionary human form.

The Diplomat made an announcement to everyone on the ship.
"Informational Statement: Me and General Thgasif-Mntud will now go down. We will not be carrying any weapons and as such you need to always be prepared if The Primitives we are attacked by The Primitives."
He turned slightly to The General.
"We do not want another incident."

The General was not happy with Diplomat Sxdevik-Lhsdam's decision to bring no weapons and no body-guards. For The Diplomat to use The Sol Incident as a justification for this doesn't even make any sense to someone who is allowed to know what actually happened.

A voice emits from The UTV.
"Informational Statement: We are being beamed out now. We are making the assumption that it is custom for diplomats to not have carry weapons on them?"

Malik:

Malik, pushes off the ship still brightly glowing as he flaps softly to hover in place as he lowers closer to the balcony. His focus was slightly distracted at a dark “spot” in the distance, but something was different about it, it had some white mixed into the ebb, perhaps a soul was on some sort of crossroad, it was not the important detail at the moment but he would make note of it. Malik kept his shield his ready but un summoned the sword as he waited for the beings to beam down.

Aither:
Image

Aither, chewed a little harder on the bamboo shoot but was passively idle for the most part, while his left paw kept his sword at the ready in the scabbard, he looked up at the ship then where the probable area of teleportation could be and scooted some of the people back. He stepped forward from the crowd. He cleared his throat and looked up. “I hope you coming down isn’t going to violate some sort of first contact policy you have hmm?”
