A proprietary bullpup 6.5mm caseless rifle based on the american LSAT program. This weapon is fictional, but as my country is set in 2026, it closely mirrors the American 6.5mm/6.8mm competition currently that's ongoing, and in our universe we chose and modified a weapon from their 6.8mm rifle competition. [1][2]

The 6.5mm round generates roughly 3500 joules with a 9.8 gram cartridge, having around the same weight and ballistics as a 7.62mm NATO round, but twice as aerodynamic with a BC of .71 vs. .35 for the standard NATO round. Being caseless it's around 13.1 grams vs. 25.5 grams for the 7.62mm NATO, and 12.5 grams for the 5.56mm NATO, so it's fairly light for it's weight. In addition the mechanism of the LSAT rifle it's based on reduces felt recoil to an extent, so it's similiar to shooting a 5.56mm. The weight and ergonomics of the weapon is like the Tavor 7, although it's chambered in a cartridge similiar to the 6.5mm Creedmoor. The long action and swinging chamber design helps to reduce recoil and heat build up. Kind of a neat gun. It's basically this but bullpup and using caseless rounds. A much heavier weapon, but that looks nearly identical and is roughly the same overall length, at around 12.5 pounds, is used as a machine gun variant of the gun, which is belt fed.

We don't have a standard assault rifle since we don't have a centralized military, but the AEK-3045 is the most widely used. "Assault rifles" in a 21st century sense are basically light civilian and police weapons unfit to penetrate modern military powered armor and synthmorphs though - combat infantry typically use assault cannons firing 20mm hypersonic APDSDU like the AEK-8941.

That would be the AR-1. It's chambered for 5.6×44mm ammunition (though an export variant, the AR-1/X, is chambered in 5.56×45mm NATO), has an effective range of 550 m for point targets and 750 m for area targets (and a maximum range of 2,800 m), and a rate of fire of up to 900 rpm.

The service rifle of the Pulsrothi armed forces is the HS06A (Standing for High Standard Series 2006A) manufactured by Paris-Theodore Armaments. The weapon is a bullpup style rifle, chambered for the high velocity 5.9 by 40mm round and is of a similar visual design to the real-life P90, just longer in length.

The M18 is The Nevecian armed forces' main military personnel assault rifle. It fires 6.8x43mm rimless bottleneck rounds and uses a Ballistic/Plasma hybrid system where each bullet is charged by plasma energy to deliver an explosive impact, ripping into kinetic shields and conventional ballistic armor.

Its known for its extreme precision, low recoil and ease of reloading though a model that has a higher fire-rate is currently under development.

We do not have standardization of arms; our militia uses whatever they can get their hands on.

However, we do have several "main assault rifles", thanks to certain weapons being quite plentiful. Specifically, we have large numbers of AK-103s, AK-105s, AK-74Ms, and AKMs. We also happen to have more of these rifles than we have a population, so there's that. (With all of those rifles together, we have more than 5,000; our population on the other hand is only 3,872.)

We are not manufacturing them, they're just leftovers from the previous regime. We don't have the capacity to manufacture much of anything right now.

Currently the most used Assault rifles in the armed forces are the M4A1 and the Galil ACE. By the end of 2020 the rifle codenamed Pierced Nose currently in development is expected to roll out into the CNSF (Cascadian National Security Force, armed forces of Cascadia)
