Character DescriptionName: Ethan Park
Aliases: Fulldive
Gender: Male
Age: 22
Appearance: 175cm (5'7") tall, 68 kg (150lbs), platinum blonde, blue eyes, Asian-American.
MotivationsGoals: Maintain the peoples' freedom, keep the internet free from super-powered cyber-criminals, prove himself as an effective hero.
Fears: Losing the powers he heavily relies on to make a living, losing his creations, dying to an edgelord villain.
Strengths and WeaknessesSource of Power:
Powers :Abilities:
- Vinteokinesis: Ethan can create, shape, and manipulate video images using energy. Allowing him to create energy constructs in the shape of beings, tools, weapons, and aspects of fantasy with powers of their own. Ethan can directly communicate with electronics, providing superhuman levels of control through thought alone. Ethan's digital constructs require substantial amounts of prep time in order to actually be of use, and must somewhat obey the laws of physics. On top of this, Ethan can enter, travel through, and manipulate digital and electrical devices from within.
- Living Battery: Ethan can absorb, project, and store about 1 gigajoule of energy within himself. This surplus of energy is mainly used for his Vinteokinesis power, but can also 'overcharge' his body. While in this energized state, Ethan's body can stun, and his reaction speed is greatly increased. Due to being able to control his energy output, he can also act as a wireless charger for electronics.
Equipment:
- Tech Genius: Ethan, through sponsorships and abuse of his powers, has quickly accumulated a number of IT related knowledge and certificates. Namely in Digital Art, Programming, and Multimedia. All of which factor into his power and allow him to pull off greater feats. Because he can seamlessly transfer his imagination into machines, creating extremely complex AI, 3D models, and so on comes to him naturally. He could've done so without going to uni, but at least it looks good on his resume.
- Adept Swordsman: Not many can say they've fought to the death with nothing but a sword, especially a pseudo-magical one... multiple times. While Ethan could easily create modern weapons with his power, medieval fantasy has always been his guilty pleasure, especially so considering he can imitate magic.
Weaknesses:
- A high-end laptop and flagship phone.
- A Kawasaki Ninja 400 motorcycle.
- A collection of 3D models securely stored in the cloud and his local device (which he can summon for combat).
- Power:
- Summoned constructs must have a model, textures, complex AI, shaders, speech recognition, and various other features (especially if intended for combat) to actually do stuff beyond standing around. Usually, the more realistic a construct is, the stronger it can be.
- Ethan can only control 3-6 summons at a time, unless the summons are self-reliant and/or intelligent enough to operate without supervision.
- Ethan's power is very much a 'quantity over quality' type power, the less he's able to summon, the weaker he is. In fact, he intentionally makes his construct look way stronger than they really are.
- Larger summons take much longer to materialize than smaller ones, taking anywhere from 1 to 30 seconds.
- Without a device (i.e. phone/laptop) Ethan will not have access to his constructs and be unable to summon anything.
- Going over his energy limit may result in passing out or possibly 'short-circuiting'.
- Self:
- Not skilled in close combat beyond swordplay.
- Has almost no counters to magic or other anomalous powers.
- Kinda a wuss when it comes to pain as he's never even broken a bone.
- No way of quickly healing himself (unless he learns how to make something that can, which is very unlikely).
- Pushing his powers to their limit may result in passing out.
Background:Job: Freelance digital artist, programmer, and cybersecurity specialist; Sponsored TIAMA Hero.
Legal Status: US Citizen, Hero.
Backstory: Ethan Park was a gifted child, if a bit anti-social, with his knowledge in technology far exceeding his peers. He was a veritable genius, writing programs at just 6 years old. It wasn't until his 9th birthday did his powers truly reveal themselves, his parents catching him in the act as he plunged a hand into the TV, pulling out an exact copy of some advertised kids toy. His parents were absolutely ecstatic, their respective academic backgrounds in science and technology squealing at the thought. For a long while, Ethan was simply taught how to responsibly use his power, dropping out in favor of being home-schooled. All his friends were behind a screen, pop culture and video-games all that could hold his attention.
The moment he turned 18, Ethan fled his stuffy parents home for university, flying through on a number of merit-based scholarships to attain a number of tech-related certificates. Two years of hard work, and some possibly illegal activity, had netted Ethan a sizable sum of cash. A master of all things digital simply couldn't go wrong in the modern age. Penetration testing, bug-finding, digital art, programming, AI - nothing was off the table. But Ethan wanted more, he wanted to prove himself in the real world. Use his power to catch real criminals, to test himself against other super powered weirdos who could actually pose some challenge. Not script-kiddies on the net. Fortunately, nothing was really stopping him from doing just that.
And so, off he went to TIAMA, registering himself as a hero much to his parents dismay. He'd never felt more alive stepping through those doors, out of his dark, computer-lit room. What new experiences await him?
