The sun rises on a new world- a world not like that you may know. Shattered by a catastrophic impact not long after the extinction of the dinosaurs, Earth is not as it should be. This impact, a star falling to earth, changed not only the shape of the world, but also her content; this star bore strange light and strange crystals, warping and altering the planet where humanity slowly arose.
You are one of the first tribes to form an actual civilization, a kindred of sorts that has banded together for survival. Men, not far removed from their primitive origins, but with the potential for so much more. Simple, unadulterated, and a story with as many branching outcomes as may be imagined.
Soo super-chill casual RP. Some basic things you might want to know about how I'm going to be running the RP.
All tribes begin with five citizens, and I am accepting a maximum of ten tribes. You may (most likely will) acquire more citizens as the RP progresses, because who can get much done with so few people?
You should expect to make an IC post once every 24 hours IRL, and only one. A nice simple straightforward expectation, no strings attached. These posts correspond to the passage of a year's time, in-character.
All tribes will begin with four "resources", uncommon materials that will be tracked as vaguely important in the "region" where they live. You will be allowed to choose one of these resources, but the rest I will generate. These don't include generic materials like flint, stone, mud, trees, and so on, but keep your assumption of what is generic reasonable- copper, for instance, is a resource, not something you can just assume your tribe has.
Tribe members, or citizens, should be assigned roles upon starting the IC; Warrior, Scholar, Worker, or Scout. These roles are important, and may not be changed, but the acquisition of new citizens will help you balance out your decisions if you think you have chosen poorly.
Warriors: Self-explanatory. They're relatively trained in combat, and excel at hunting or defending a tribe. Also, yknow, taking stuff from other tribes, if you are so inclined.
Scholars: May make new discoveries or devise new uses for resources once every year. TG me your Scholar proposals when you come up with them; some may take more than a single year or a single Scholar's work to develop.
Worker: These lads gather almost all resources and construct any tools/buildings your Scholars come up with. They're pretty useful for ensuring your ivory-tower intellectuals don't starve.
Scouts: Necessary to find out more about the world beyond your tiny slice of paradise (or not paradise). Also vaguely skilled in combat, though nothing like Warriors.
So there we go! Currently, we are full up on tribes, however, I'm happy to accept a few nomadic bands. They will start with only three members, but significant bonuses to warfare and hunting/gathering, if you just want to be a threat to civilized folks.
