While Keeping Borders Closed, Convet Votes To Lift The National Quarantine, Effective Friday, And Passes A New Legislation In Support Of Daredland

Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia has voted to lift the National Quarantine. It was a polarizing vote that divided the governing coalition, the in-between political parties, and opposition forces from the inside. However, in the end, the larger amount of lawmakers voted in favor of lifting the National Quarantine in comparison to the smaller amount that voted against, although that amount was approaching nearly half of the composition of the entire legislature. Nevertheless, the Convet only passed the lifting of the domestic National Quarantine, helping normalize life in the country internally. Sunrisian borders would remain closed for travel from and into the country and that is emphasized in the bill. The legislation was passed after lawmakers consulted with Minister of Health of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Anímâ Sálû, who spoke before the Convet as was planned. The Minister supported lifting the National Quarantine and thus the Convet took that as the final verdict and a green light, while not waiting for President Addél Dîlectên to “say the final word.” However, the head of state now says that he supports the Convet’s decision. The legislation on lifting the National Quarantine would come into effect Friday and the President is required to sign the law by that time. The head of state promised to do it this evening.

Convet was much more unanimous on a foreign policy-related legislation that was passed after the lifting of the National Quarantine. That legislation is – Daredland Liberty, Sovereignty and Independence Reinforcement Legislation. It is a comprehensive bill in support of Daredland, which replaces the previous legislations that have been in force up to this point, with those being – Daredland Reinforcement Resolution and its’ companion bill Daredland Freedom Support Resolution. These legislations, passed by past Sunrisian governments, dictated the Daredland support policy up to this point. The comprehensive Daredland Liberty, Sovereignty and Independence Reinforcement Legislation will supersede both bills and from now on will dictate the Sunrisian policy on Daredland. Although it is a single bill, its’ terms are wider than the terms of both bills it is replacing, put together. The legislation was passed at a time of a renewed “liveliness” of the Daredi crisis, as there are ongoing protests in the separatist unrecognized and self-proclaimed Hasperan Republic, which Sunrisian diplomats have already expressed support for, and developments in an identically unrecognized separatist and self-proclaimed Weniges Reich, which happens to also be backed by the Englean Kaiserreich, its’ allies and satellites.

President Addél Dîlectên will have both legislations – one on lifting the National Quarantine, and the second on supporting Daredland, reach his desk to be signed into law, which the President will be required to do. Nevertheless, with the current constitution having changed Sunrisia from presidential to a semi-presidential system, Convet Speaker Flórên Infána said that heads of other branches of the government, like that of the Convet which Speaker Infána currently happens to be, could also start signing bills into law, rather than making them depend on the President’s signature. Political analysts are taking this comment, as well as the Convet’s move on the National Quarantine without consulting with the President, as a demonstration of the legislative branch distancing itself from this President, possibly in the face of his damaged approval rating over the ineffective personal management of quarantine conditions and past slow progress on returning Sunrisian prisoners from Rezuan captivity. Of course, there is also the question on whether the Superior Court of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia would allow the de-powering of the office of the President by the Convet, basing it on the changes the current constitution has brought into the system, when it was adopted. Jugac National Tribunal sentences dictator of former North Baggnagia Marshal Jan Tillich together with officials and members of his ousted regime to death

JUGAC, BAGGNAGIA – These days Baggnagia is preoccupied with national security and well-being problems such as the pandemic of RETRIT-20 and PVAX-20 along with the crisis of Pamerava. There is also a secondary issue of a Socialist government-in-exile claiming to be the sole government of Baggnagia and functioning from a foreign sanctuary with foreign support. The existence and support for Pamerava can also be seen as part of foreign pressure on Baggnagia. So there are enough problems inside and out. Sometimes they intertwine. Despite best endeavors and even harsh methods of military rule Baggnagia can’t celebrate the fact that it is an integral and unified sovereign nation today after a long and difficult period of North-South split. The problem of Pamerava is a symbol of continued fragmentation this time in a new form. But despite unsolved challenged and pressure that comes with them it still does not mean that Baggnagia can’t focus on other issues. That would include moving on into the future. And to move on you need closure. The existence of today’s challenges and lack of full territorial integrity does not mean that Baggnagia can’t close a passed difficult chapter in its history where the nation won, good conquered evil and the nation can now move on. And that’s what happened today. A long awaited sentence has been given as Baggnagians that were able to watch were holding their breath.

The Jugac National Tribunal has sentenced the second and last dictator of the former North Baggnagia Marshal Jan Tillich together with officials and members of his ousted regime to death. For crimes against the Baggnagian nation and crimes against humanity. Tillich and his people are now on death row and will be executed by shooting on an undetermined date. The Jugac National Tribunal has also ruled against the crimes and the rule of Tillich’s dead predecessor the founder and first dictator of North Baggnagia Chief of State Franc Hapenic. That includes not only Hapenic’s rule as first North Baggnagian dictator after the creation of that state by him up to his untimely death from an unrevealed cause but also his authoritarian rule as President of still-united Baggnagia prior to division and the military coup he led to consolidate his power in Baggnagia which ultimately led to the nation’s original territorial break-up. The Tribunal has also denounced the god-like cult of personality created around Chief of State Franc Hapenic and Marshal Jan Tillich along with their human rights violations.

The Supreme Court of Baggnagia will follow suite and make a ruling in recognition of the Jugac National Tribunal’s sentencing. The Military Council of Baggnagia will also be passing a bill in recognition of the Jugac National Tribunal’s sentencing.

Parliament Passes No-Confidence Vote Against Premier's Government

Today, parliament passed a vote of no-confidence against Premier Madsen's government. The vote, which passed at a vote of 278 to 192, was put forth by the official opposition in the National Labor Party. NLP leader, Tina Averden, has long been a critic of the current Blue Party minority government. Indeed, the Blue Party's current position of increasingly harsh austerity measures has landed them in trouble with other members of parliament and angry voters. It seems that, with Premier Madsen's government bungling of the recent PVAX/RETRIT outbreak, the rest of parliament has had enough.

With today's no-confidence vote, snap elections are all but assured. It's likely that most parties saw this vote as a potential chance to increase their own standing at the Blue Party's expense. Based on his public approval rating, Madsen's Blue Party would be facing an uphill battle to hold on to their minority government. Already there have been inklings of a few coalitions forming in order to challenge the Blue Party's rule of Eikangaard's Parliament. Rumors have begun flying that the National Labor Party is considering an alliance with the Green Party.

However, while public perception so far has been favorable to the idea of snap elections, especially among lower-income sections of the country, some have begun to question the wisdom of elections at this time. With a currently running and worsening outbreak at home, some wonder whether beginning an election cycle is a good idea. There are concerns that a big voting day, the cases of RETRIT/PVAX-20 could skyrocket as large groups of people gather in small spaces to cast their ballots in-person. There currently has been no information on how Eikangaard's Elections Commission would handle the upcoming election safely.

It seems that, ultimately, this vote of no-confidence and the assured threat of snap-elections has added another layer of uncertainty for Eikangaard. In addition to the heightened possibility of war and a rapidly worsening global outbreak, we now have to deal with political uncertainty. We can only hope that this will be resolved quickly and safely.

Separatist loyalist police forces and new militia move against protesters and even ACREFOR peacekeepers in the self-declared Hasperan Republic

The separatist leadership of the self-declared Hasperan Republic has started taking action against what it sees as a threat to its power that’s been slipping away recently. Loyalist police forces and some freshly assembled militia formation have been deployed to confront not just the ongoing protests in the self-declared Hasperan Republic but even the multinational ACREFOR peacekeeping taskforce. The separatist authorities clearly see the protesters as a move by inhabitants of those territories to depose them and view ACREFOR peacekeepers as part of a foreign conspiracy against them. The separatist leadership has already spoken out about a Sunrisian plot against them including assassination attempts against Hasperan separatist ‘officials’ and Sunrisia is a nation that’s part of the ACREFOR taskforce. Although the international peacekeepers have stayed out of the political developments and protests in self-declared Hasperan Republic the separatists are clearly paranoid and feel that they are being overthrown. They’re taking action against everyone to save their power.

Now that the separatists are using force the Daredi government has finally issued first overdue reactions to the situation in the self-declared Hasperan Republic Confederal Chancellor Lars Sommer condemned the use of force by the separatist leadership against peaceful protests and against international peacekeepers. President of the Daredi Confederation Hans Receni said that this action by the Hasperan leadership is sabotaging the unprecedented deal reached between the Daredi government and Hasperan separatist leadership on an international humanitarian and development effort in the depleted territories of the Hasperan region of Daredland. But neither of them said if Daredland would be ready to use combat military force for the very first time in the self-declared Hasperan Republic since the Hasperan crisis started to defend citizens there from violence against them and to also help peacekeepers who are not tasked with fighting. Opposition parties and in-government PLFWCD criticized the LPM governing coalition for not declaring readiness to use force in response to the Hasperan separatist actions in the self-declared Hasperan Republic against protesters and peacekeepers. The Klare Sicht alliance stood up for the governing LPM coalition and reminded how nobody suggested to take action in the self-declared Hasperan Republic when the separatist authorities publicly executed opposition members there in a highly publicized and infamous story.

But the Daredi government breaking silence could be the first sign that the Confederation will not allow the separatists to engage in terrorism no matter how much there was a wish to keep a ‘cold peace’ between the Daredi government and Hasperan separatist authorities to keep negotiations going and an agreement on an ACREFOR operation to remain. That’s why there probably was no reaction from the Daredi government before. But now that the separatists are violating their side of the deal the Daredi government will be forced to react. That is indeed what the opposition will be pushing them to do.

President Addél Dîlectên Deploys Rapid Reaction Units (RRU) To The Self-Proclaimed Hasperan Republic In Daredland To Protect ACREFOR Peacekeepers And Protesters There

President Addél Dîlectên has announced that he has personally ordered the deployment of the Rapid Reaction Units (RRU) of the Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF) to the separatist-controlled territories of the Haspera region of Daredland – the self-proclaimed Hasperan Republic, where the ACREFOR peacekeeping mission is taking place and where protests had been growing against the separatist leadership. The deployment is linked to the sudden resorting of violence by the Hasperan separatist leadership, who are using loyalist police forces and newly-formed militia, which serves as their equivalent of a military, to not only block entry into the separatist territory for Daredi politicians like they did before, but have now moved against the peaceful protests in the self-proclaimed Hasperan Republic and also against international ACREFOR peacekeepers, made up of personnel from MDAA member and associate states, who initially had permission to deploy there. The peacekeepers are not legally sanctioned to engage in combat, but in case they come under attack, they are equipped enough to defend themselves and civilians. Nevertheless, the Dîlectên administration determined that time was short.

Everything that President Addél Dîlectên had time to do is get advice from National Defense Consultant Líbêll Aûctórên on using combat military force and then immediately get into contact with Confederal Chancellor Lars Sommer of Daredland and President Hans Receni of Daredland to receive permission to deploy Sunrisian combat forces to Daredland, specifically the separatist-controlled territories of the Haspera region of Daredland – the self-proclaimed Hasperan Republic. After going through this sequence of steps, President Addél Dîlectên gave out the order to deploy the Rapid Reaction Units (RRU) because of their rapid deployment capabilities and the ability to get to the destination fast. The President then decided to personally announce his order to the public himself, instead of leaving it up to Minister of Security of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Vîsár Inpétăs like usually. President Dîlectên announced that the objective is to reinforce/defend ACREFOR peacekeepers and protect peaceful protests from the use of excessive force, including military force, against them. The head of state said that time was short and he used his right to send the rapid deployment forces as commander-in-chief without getting the approval of the Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia first, which he acknowledged will probably “get him into hot water” with the Convet against. However, the President said that in case there is a need to mobilize and send more forces of different capacity, he would seek the Convet’s support first.

As for the situation in Daredland, the protests in the self-proclaimed Hasperan Republic have carried a large pro-Daredi sentiment and hints towards public support there for rejoining Daredland, which of course threatens the separatist power in their own country-like entity they had created. However, the separatists have also moved forces against the ACREFOR peacekeepers, who had stayed out of the political developments in the self-proclaimed Hasperan Republic, but still came under attack. Daredi media suggested that the separatist leadership was never easy about ACREFOR coming in, but ultimately agreed to the deal. However, they have now fully embraced the idea that ACREFOR are part of a foreign conspiracy against them, that ACREFOR is the conspiracy’s boots on the ground and that the peacekeepers are standing behind the protests. Sunrisia was singled out and called out by the Hasperan separatists as attempting to assassinate their multiple officials prior to the break-out of protests and was hinted at as being the sponsor of these demonstrations. Obviously, the conspiracy was only reinforced by the refusal of the Sunrisian government to respond to assassination accusations and with our country’s diplomats expressing support for the right of people to a peaceful protest.

Speziellkommando of the Konföderaleswehr sent to the self-declared Hasperan Republic after separatist loyalist forces begin using violence against international peacekeepers and demonstrators

Confederal Minister of Defense and Protection of the Daredi Confederation Lukas Armbrüster confirmed that Speziellkommando of the Daredi Konföderaleswehr was sent to the territories of Haspera under the control of the self-declared Hasperan Republic. This announcement was later backed up by President of the Daredi Confederation Hans Receni and Confederal Chancellor Lars Sommer. The decision was made at the Confederal Cabinet meeting chaired by President Hans Receni. Confederal Chancellor Lars Sommer then went to both chambers of the United Confederal Assembly to ask for backing in using the Konföderaleswehr for combat purposes in the separatist territory. The National Council and the Council of States have both given their approval. That is when the Daredi government issued the order. The sending of military forces to the self-declared Hasperan Republic is linked to the use of force by separatist loyalist police and new militia against peaceful protesters and international peacekeepers of ACREFOR. But Daredland is not the first nation to send combat forces even if the situation is taking place on its territory. Sunrisia has sent Rapid Reaction Units (RRU) to defend protesters and peacekeepers since Sunrisia is one of the nation contributing peacekeepers to the ACREFOR operation. Confederal Minister of Defense and Protection Lukas Armbrüster defended Daredland’s pacing by explaining that Daredland simply has a larger and more diversified government. That’s why it takes a longer time to go through a bigger bureaucratic process before making a decision like this. And yet Daredland managed to get all of its government branches to agree on sending troops whereas in Sunrisia the President took and rushed that decision single-handedly according to Armbrüster.

New Vesvai Sends Troops To Separatist Territories In Daredland’s Haspera To Help Defend Peacekeepers And Civilians After Escalation Of Violence There

New Vesvai’s Prime Minister Adi Letago has addressed the Parliament to ask MPs in government and opposition to vote in favor of urgently sending New Vesvai’s troops to Daredland. The need to do so was reached at a meeting between PM Adi Letago and the Ministry of the Vesvaian Revolutionary Army. Sending military into Daredland was motivated by the escalation of situation in the unrecognized Hasperan Republic. That’s where ACREFOR peacekeeping mission has been going on and also where anti-separatist protests in favor of reuniting with Daredland have been happening for some time. Afraid of being dethroned the Hasperan separatists started demonizing protests as a plot to overthrow them and saw ACREFOR as part of a foreign plot against them. While swallowing the bitter pill for the first many days of protests and tolerating ACREFOR peacekeepers the separatist authorities have now sent their police and also militia formed by them to disperse protest and even threaten peacekeepers who are allowed to be there.

PM Adi Letago said that Daredland was an ally of New Vesvai in the Council of 3 and must be helped in this situation. West Zilveren Berg is also an ally in the Council of 3 and has contributed peacekeepers who are coming under attack like the rest. New Vesvai is a contributor of its own peacekeepers to ACREFOR who are also coming under attack now. PM Letago argued that because peacekeepers aren’t there to fight regular military forces must be sent to help defend them and civilians there. Sunrisia and Daredland have already done exactly that. The Sunrisians had sent rapid deployment forces and the Daredis had sent special forces. So the allies aren’t immediately preparing for a big war by jumping with large artillery. The Prime Minister has offered to send a limited number of combat troops up to a division. With such an offer the head of government also tried to persuade skeptics in the opposition who say that sending New Vesvai’s combat troops elsewhere lowers New Vesvai’s presence and weakens positions on the border with the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai.

In the end the parliamentary vote turned out split nearly in half but the number of MPs supporting deployment was greater than those against. Some parties did not hesitate accusing opposition parties and others of treason for voting against sending troops to protect New Vesvai’s peacekeepers in Daredland. These accusations caused uproar with the opposition firing back that supporting the initiative to send New Vesvai’s troops elsewhere was more treasonous because it weakened New Vesvai’s position on the vital border with the Union. There were some highly emotional verbal exchanges but no brawl broke out in the Parliament.

Hasperan Crisis: West Zilveren Peacekeepers In ACREFOR Told To Stay Out Of The Fighting And Instead Focus On Evacuating Civilians From Danger

With the outbreak of violence in the self-proclaimed Hasperan Republic in Daredland provoked by separatist authorities, the Chief Secretary Faas Van Hoebeek of the State of West Zilveren Berg has addressed the military service personnel that are part of West Zilveren contribution to the ACREFOR peacekeeping mission in the self-proclaimed Hasperan Republic, which controls large parts of the Haspera region of Daredland. With the separatist leadership of the self-proclaimed Hasperan Republic resorting to using force against protesting civilians and peacekeepers, countries like Sunrisia, the host country Daredland and New Vesvai have sent combat forces to defend their own peacekeepers and engage in the protection of civilians, including by fighting separatist forces like their police and their militia. Chief Secretary Faas Van Hoebeek ordered the West Zilveren peacekeepers not to engage in the fighting that has broken out like their colleagues from other countries in ACREFOR have. Instead, the order was given to pull back from zones of violence and focus on evacuating civilians from there.

In his address, Chief Secretary Faas Van Hoebeek is a non-bloc and positions itself as a neutral state according to the Basic Law of the State of West Zilveren Berg. That is why the West Zilveren Self-Defense Forces (WZDF) cannot be deployed to fight overseas and thus West Zilveren Berg will not be sending combat troops to reinforce peacekeepers like other countries in ACREFOR had. However, the Chief Secretary also said that West Zilveren Berg is not pulling out from the ACREFOR mission, since West Zilveren peacekeepers have been ordered to evacuate civilians to safety. In fact, while other countries focus on combating separatist forces, West Zilveren Berg can take leadership in humanitarian efforts on the side and continue progressing the peacekeeping objectives of the initial ACREFOR mission. By calculations and estimates that would still need more peacekeepers to be sent and it is unclear whether the West Zilveren government will be doing something like that. In fact, so far Chief Secretary Faas Van Hoebeek was the only one to speak and the position of the majority coalition the rest of the government, the opposition and other political forces in the country are yet to be heard.

Military Council declares a state of national emergency with a lockdown and travel bans while increasing healthcare budget

JUGAC, BAGGNAGIA – The Military Council of Baggnagia has voted to declare a state of national emergency which hasn’t been declared up to today even after first cases appeared and started booming. Additionally the Military Council has imposed a lockdown, travel bans in and out of Baggnagia with continued closure of all borders (the only measure that was in force since the pandemic started) and a required wearing of masks, respirators and gloves in case of going out by citizens. Additionally, funding would be allocated to the larger propaganda of social distancing and safety measures around the nation, provision of disinfection and sanitizers in public areas, support of the economy. Another decision made was to allocate more funding to the Baggnagian healthcare. But the Military Council insisted that this increase of funding can’t be done through a tax increase or by taking funds away from defense. In these unpredictable times and recent events Baggnagia is going to need all the military power it can get. That’s why some other area will have to have its financing cut. But in order not to take too much damage Baggnagia will be using loans it had taken from Sunrisia and possibly ask for more loans too.

Chairman of the Military Council Lt. Colonel Juraj Pietsch declared passing of all the measures at the Military Council and publicly addressed Council members together with the nation:

We have a triple digit number of virus cases in Baggnagia right now. Many of them are daily being transferred to Sunrisia for treatment with their consent and per an agreement between both governments. Even those that had gone abroad for treatment are still calculated as part of our statistic and are in our data base. These strict and possibly unpopular measures that the Military Council has taken today can only start being relaxed after Baggnagia starts dropping into a double digit territory in virus cases. For that we must all take deep breaths, restrain ourselves and self-isolate for at least a couple of weeks. If all of us as a nation, each and every one of us, manage to do so for a couple of weeks and disciple ourselves the virus cases will drop. Afterwards we can transition into relaxed measures and eventually reinstate the normal public order even if not every single individual is yet recovered. Of course our ultimate goal is to achieve Baggnagia being RETRIT-free and PVAX-free. Overall virus-free.

NEODVISNI, PAMERAVA – A glorious day has come to sovereign Pamerava. A long-awaited day. Since the announcement several days back that Prince Dobrin Ustanovitelj (The Founder) has recovered from RETRIT-20 the nation rejoiced. But Pameravans also wanted both their monarchs recovered. That’s why since the announcement’s of Prince Dobrin’s recovery rejoicing Pameravans were also anxious and awaiting for the same news on the health of Prince Alexander Rešitelj (The Savior) and his health. And today that day has finally come. Prince Alexander Rešitelj (The Savior) has recovered from PVAX-20. Pameravans are rejoicing. It’s an even bigger relief because PVAX-20 is a tougher virus than RETRIT-20 and Prince Alexander is older than Prince Dobrin so he was at a bigger risk zone. Both monarchs got sick at around the same time and the duration of their illnesses was basically the same. Of course the younger Prince Dobrin Ustanovitelj (The Founder) recovered sooner from the less dangerous RETRIT-20. The older Prince Alexander Rešitelj (The Savior) was sick with the more dangerous PVAX-20 for longer and that caused a lot of worrying in Pamerava. Today Prince Dobrin Ustanovitelj (The Founder) brought out the still weakened Prince Alexander Rešitelj (The Savior) out into the public. First the two monarchs came out in front of the Senate of Pamerava to a standing ovation. The next appearance of both monarchs in public soon after was in front of a cheering public at a city square in Neodvisni. Prince Dobrin Ustanovitelj (The Founder) and Prince Alexander Rešitelj (The Savior) together made the announcement that they will now rule Pamerava as a Co-Principality like the nation was founded to be ruled as.

Local Authorities In Vesvai’s Part Of The Union Of Oblaren And Vesvai Ban All Travel From And To New Vesvai Because Of The Virus Pandemic And Guerillas

Local authorities in Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai on Vesvai Island are again taking a lot of initiative into their own hands. But these restrictions don’t affect just those contemplating to come from New Vesvai. The authorities have introduced travel bands for their own citizens to New Vesvai. Any and all form of travel from and to New Vesvai have been banned.

The bans started in the south-western regions that border New Vesvai. These are the regions that notoriously saw most activity of guerillas before the Union army forced them out of the Union. Soon local governments in the entire south of Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai began going through an identical procedure and that ripple effect started moving east, west, north, north-east, north-west until every district, region and municipality on the Union’s part of the island passed an identical law on banning any and all travel to and from New Vesvai. Aurisi district is the last one left to pass such a law and the municipal and central local government of Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai are both being pressured to do so.

Local politicians on the Union’s part of the island motivated this consolidated vote in solidarity with fellow island inhabitants with the danger of the virus pandemic that keeps plaguing the world. The second major reason that all inhabitants of the Union’s part of the island can relate to are guerillas. There’s no doubt that guerillas that had been terrorizing the island are based in the neighboring New Vesvai which is a hostile state. And that is where they had come from. They used land, air and sea travel to access the Union’s part of the island while disguised as tourists from New Vesvai and later infiltrating the civilian population of the Union’s part of the island. In order to prevent both diseases from coming into the island again whether it’d be viruses or guerillas the local authorities have taken such measures. Local politicians hope that the police, the National Guard and the Union army will stand with the people and not always await instructions from Aurisi or Fortwel.

Many local politicians also say that they plan to write letters to the central local Vesvai government in Aurisi and also the municipality in the district of Aurisi to pass the same travel ban law and join the rest of the Union’s part of the island. Many intend to travel to Aurisi personally to demand this. An additional demand will be for Aurisi as the capital of Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai to defend the right for such autonomous action before the central government of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai that’s in Fortwel. Many local politicians intend to head to Fortwel as well if the central government attempts to overrule such a decision. A lot of addresses have been made and messages are already being sent to Union’s Prime Minister Jonathan Mollisal. There’s a lot of hope that as a native of Vesvai Island and the second person in the nation after Union’s President Russel Kelpir, he will relate, he will understand, he will defend the interests of island inhabitants before the central government.

Night-Claw 2 To Finally Have Its’ Domestic Premiere This Weekend

The RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 pandemic has stopped life in Sunrisia, when first cases appeared in the country and triggered a State of Emergency, proceeded by a National Quarantine, which had been weakening as the situation improved. Now, the National Quarantine has been lifted and formally Sunrisia is back to normal life, with the only exceptions related to the virus still being the closed borders, which prohibits entry into and exit from Sunrisia, as well as recommendations to still use safety precautions that were previously enforced during quarantine. In the world of entertainment, there were questions about the effect of the pandemic on movie releases. Some had managed to go on VOD, but others are block-busters that studios simply could not have released in the same way. Therefore, they had to be kept in the vault with delayed release dates until it was safe for theatres to re-opened again. One such movie was Night-Claw 2, a sequel to the superhero block-buster Night-Claw. At first it was speculated whether the movie would be released regardless of the quarantine and thus would expect lesser viewings and a longer rotation in the theatres, or whether the studios would post-pone the release. And that is without even mentioning international releases, since different countries have different situations with the RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 pandemic, therefore, there were risks to the movie’s performance over there too.

Ultimately, Reflexa Pictures decided to post-pone domestic release and international distribution, although next time, the studios will consider the strategy of premiering the movie first in a country that has the best situation with the virus in comparison to Sunrisia and all others. However, in the nationalist and patriotic spirit, Reflexa Pictures will be making homeland Sunrisia the first country, where Night-Claw 2 will premiere, before going overseas. During the postponed release, but still in the phase of post-production, the director promised that there were no reshoots, so the movie will be released as originally written, produced and intended. It is unlikely there would be alternative cuts of the film and the theatrical one will be the only one that exists. Then again, you never know with these superhero movies.

After releasing 4 trailers, including a teaser trailer and 3 official trailers, with a huge marketing budget and a period of being postponed during quarantine, Night-Claw 2 finally opens this weekend in theatres around Sunrisia. Songs from the rock-dominated Night-Claw 2 (Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture), songs written specially for the movie’s soundtrack, are dominating Sunrisian charts right now, also part of the promotion for an already anticipated movie.

Military Council adopts a video conference format of its sessions additionally to the traditional format of sessions

JUGAC, BAGGNAGIA – Baggnagia continues taking more anti-virus measures in the day life and also in the government ranks. Chairman of the Military Council of Baggnagia Lt. Sunrisian And Englean Special Envoys Meet In Otraria To Discuss Possible Cooperation On Vaccine Research For RETRIT-20 And PVAX-20

The special envoys of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia and the Englean Kaiserreich have met in Otraria in a previously-unannounced and unreported meeting. Our country was represented by Emissary for Adversary Exchanges (EAE) of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Esécăs Abstántâ, while the Englean Kaiserreich was represented by Envoy for Special Foreign Affairs Klaus Scherrer. It was a risqué and in-person meeting at a time of the RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 pandemic. Emissary Esécăs Abstántâ wore a respirator and gloves, while handshakes were avoided and a sanitizer was nearby. Speaking of the pandemic, that was the primary topic of the conversation.

The Sunrisian and Englean representatives discussed the possibility of both countries, despite viewing each other as adversaries, could work together for the common good of humanity by combining efforts in researching a vaccine for RETRIT-20 and PVAX-20. It is unknown whether they had dedicated time to discussing any other topics that could be putting the countries on opposite sides of the confrontation yet again, such as – the current multinational military intervention of MDAA member states and associate states in the west of Daredland, Englean support for further developments in the unrecognized and self-proclaimed Weniges Reich occupying the east of Daredland, the Baggnagian–Pameravan conflict, and that is just the tip of the iceberg, also considering the question of human rights and democracy in the Englean Kaiserreich.

When everything ended, Emissary Abstántâ did not have much to say with a literal “no comment” response to the press. So it is unclear what happened and whether this Sunrisian and Englean meeting was another waste of time. A joint declaration was not made. However, it is possible that there could be more updates and details revealed on the contents of what was reached in press publications and new reports from both countries in the near future.

Today the Daredi Konföderaleswehr has informed our government of victory in the self-declared Hasperan Republic that was occupying parts of our nation’s Haspera region. All objectives and more have been completed. The military forces of Daredland and our five allies: Sunrisia, New Vesvai, Creperia, Edereon and West Zilveren Berg have not only successfully defended the peaceful protesters and ACREFOR peacekeepers in the occupied territories but had deposed the separatist leadership. The occupied territories previously controlled by the self-declared Hasperan Republic have been liberated with the deposing of the separatist authorities. The Daredi flag once again flies over those lands. The liberated parts of Haspera are de facto back under Daredi control. They will soon be de jure reintegrated back into the Daredi Confederation.

This was a spontaneous military operation for all nations involved. All these nations were only involved in contributing peacekeepers to the ACREFOR mission that was agreed upon with the separatist leadership. Even though such a negotiation and an agreement was not necessary because of our non-recognition of separatist legitimacy Daredland still engaged. The Daredi government engaged with the Hasperan separatists because of their non-violent but still illegal takeover of power in those regions and lack of foreign backing. That is why Daredland allowed itself to speak with them in the way we refuse to speak with the Englean-backed Weniges separatists. The peacekeeping mission for the greater good and for the survival of those regions was as far as we were willing to go.

But it was the separatist miscalculated choice to resort to violence against people protesting for reintegration into Daredland and a better life along with violence against our own peacekeepers that forced us to use spontaneous military action. They feared to lose power and thought they could save it with that kind action. But that which was supposed save them came to be their undoing. It was so spontaneous for all of us that neither of the nations involved in the defense of their own and fellow peacekeepers together with our citizens in the occupied territories had time to mobilize full military forces. Daredland only had time to send Speziellkommando of the Konföderaleswehr. We would have been willing to go further. But fortunately the Hasperan separatists did not have a capable military to resist against the combined forces of five nations. Even their local loyalist police and militia could not challenge us to their victory. Yes it took almost a week but it was predictable that we would win and we did.

The arrested Hasperan separatists are now detained by the Konföderaleswehr and our allied forces. They will stand trial for treason, crimes against Daredland and crimes against humanity. That includes their infamous public execution of local opposition members that even triggered reaction far overseas and also their actions during this entire crisis among other crimes. There is indeed a wide list but that is what the Attorney General will probably get into more. For now that is it.

Royal Belantic Navy To Conduct "Defense Readiness" Drills In All Home Sectors

Due to tensions increasing, the Ministry of Defense has launched a new round of "Defense Readiness" drills aimed to ensure the readiness and capabilities of the United Queendom's armed forces in the event that the nation is faced with a military threat. While the Rezuan-Sunrisian Incident has indeed led to a peaceful conclusion, it has left many to feel that Belantica's military needs to be in a state of constant readiness, given hostilities directed towards allies and other nations viewed as friendly towards the UQs. Many in Parliament believe these drills will demonstrate Belantica's ability to defend herself from invaders and showcase centuries of naval tradition and experience. This has come at the right time, when tensions are still high, but many believe these drills will act as an additional deterrent to adversaries and enemies. In addition, there is speculation that a new organization involving eastern Ophionese nations will be forming to better coordinate trade, policy, and defense.

The first wave of drills will involve the Royal Belantic Navy, regarded as "Belantica's first line of defense and power projection", which will be conducted in several key regions in the Outer Defense Zone. It will involve 40,000 RBN servicemembers and 73 warships, including the 2 supercarriers the BNV Vanguard and BNV Viktoria Kellner, and 15 diesel submarines. The drills will focus on deterring and repelling hostile forces away from the home islands, including a "offensive defense" tactic. The drills will start at 0600 hours tomorrow, and end on the 27th of this month at 1800 hours. The USA has been notified of not just these naval drills, but also other large-scale drills that will be conducted by the Royal Belantic Army (RBA) and the UQAF. it is still unknown if any allied nations will send a portion of their fleets to partake in these drills. "It's high times that we go ahead and conduct these important drills," says an RBN spokesperson, "as we cannot just take a day off like most other professions. Defense is a constant job, and we need to be ready at a moment's notice to face threats near and far. With these drills, we will ensure our defensive readiness and make it known that we will not submit to pressure or belligerence that has plagued us over the last few months."

Victory In Daredland: Hasperan Separatist Leadership Removed From Power

What was a land of tension, turbulence, uncertainty and even in a state of a warzone, is now a land of celebration. The people that have lived or fled from their homeland after the occupation of the large part of the Haspera region of Daredland by the self-proclaimed Hasperan Republic, are now rejoicing over their reinstated freedom. With combined effort, the quickly put together Daredland–Creperia–Edereon–New Vesvai–Sunrisia–West Zilveren Berg coalition has removed the Hasperan separatists from power after a long period of their control over the parts of Haspera they occupied. It took 6 days of military action, facing off against the separatist-loyal police and militia they were rushing to put together as soon as the coalition deployed combat forces. As a non-bloc and neutral state that does not deploy its’ military abroad, West Zilveren Berg instead ordered its’ peacekeepers to evacuate civilians away from the zones of fighting and away from any danger into safety, while getting out of danger themselves, only being allowed to use self-defense action like peacekeepers are legally allowed to do.

Coalition forces, made up primarily of special forces of countries participating, stormed and occupied the headquarters of the Hasperan leadership. Separatist officials were arrested and taken into military custody, before the proper authorities will take over. The occupied separatist HQ was open to the public in the self-proclaimed Hasperan Republic. The overthrow of the separatists reinstates de facto control of Daredland over the entire region of Haspera, but the government of Daredland will still have to vote on the de jure reincorporation of those lands into the country, which previously held the legal status of occupied territories legally belonging to Daredland.

Designated Diplomatic Agent (DDA) of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia for Daredland Negotiations Cáifâ Intégerâ and Minister of International Relations of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Vénî Adsécĕr have both congratulated the people of Haspera and the people of all of Daredland with the joyous occasion and for having – “reached half-way towards restoring the territorial integrity of Daredland.” Minister Vénî Adsécĕr said that Sunrisia would continue to help Daredland in that direction under the Daredland Liberty, Sovereignty and Independence Reinforcement Legislation that was passed by the Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia. Meanwhile, President Addél Dîlectên wished his own congratulations, addressing them to – “The courageous people of Haspera, who took their destiny into their own hands and were not afraid to resist unarmed against separatist-controlled armed police and militia. And this courage has paid off, because the people of Haspera are now once again free people with a bright future, with their region not only reunifying, since the larger portion was under the control of the self-proclaimed Hasperan Republic, while the smaller was still part of Daredland. So it is not just Hasperans rejoining each other, but their reunified region in its’ entirety rejoining their homeland of Daredland, a free and democratic country.” President Dîlectên also congratulated the Sunrisian forces that participated in the operation of the coalition – the Rapid Reaction Units (RRU), as well as the Sunrisian peacekeepers in ACREFOR, the peacekeepers of other countries in ACREFOR and also the combat forces of other countries in this spontaneous coalition that overthrew the Hasperan separatists.

Meanwhile, Minister of Security of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Vîsár Inpétăs, who also offered his congratulations to everybody, said that Sunrisian combat forces would be withdrawn as soon as the situation stabilizes, since Sunrisia is avoiding sending forces overseas as frequently and easily as before, because of the RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 pandemic. Exceptions have been countries, where Sunrisia has military bases and other military installations and where Sunrisian military personnel remains present, although there have even been exceptions to those exceptions, since Sunrisia closed its’ bases and withdrew all troops from Baggnagia. Formally, that was done during the brief coup d'état by the Socialists in Baggnagia, however, even after aiding in the removal and expulsion of the Socialists, the military presence of Sunrisia never made a comeback to Baggnagia, because of a difficult situation with RETRIT-20 and PVAX-20 in that country. Some government officials and analysts say that comeback could happen in case of the situation with the virus improving in Baggnagia and also a transition towards democracy finally happening. Nevertheless, the situation with Pamerava and the influence of UVN in that situation, could encourage a quicker risqué comeback, but that is a different topic.

The soldiers deployed to the occupied parts of Daredland’s Haspera came with all the protective gear they could have been given, but it is possible they might be asked to undergo an incubation period, although that has not been officially decided on. Daredland is also a country that has not reported virus cases on its’ territory, but the same cannot be said for the newly de-occupied parts of Haspera, which Daredland had no possibility to inspect, because they were completely outside of Daredi jurisdiction, while the separatists were in power there. Still, even during the pandemic, Sunrisian military personnel, mostly trainers, spend time in Daredland on the regular, being on rotation and have been present in parts of the country under Daredi-control. However, a brief period of stationing might have to now take place in the liberated parts of Haspera, where situation with the virus is unclear, which is why more soldiers with anti-virus gear might be needed.

United Confederal Assembly votes to dissolve the self-declared Hasperan Republic and reincorporate the formerly occupied territories of the Haspera region back into the Daredi Confederation

Daredi deputies were rushing to appear on the correct side of history. The National Council and the Council of States were practically racing each other on which chamber of the United Confederal Assembly would become first to vote on dissolving the self-declared Hasperan Republic and reincorporating territories seized by the removed separatists back into the Daredi Confederation de jure. Of course there’s a chronological procedure for it. Lower house National Council always goes first and the upper house Council of States goes second with a decisive vote. But it’s no secret that politicians love their populism especially now with the Klare Sicht alliance filling so much of the power vacuum in the Daredi government. In the end what matters is that the United Confederal Assembly has unanimously vote on de jure reincorporation of liberated Hasperan territories back into the sovereign state of Daredland. Those territories are now entering a transitional political period while the ACREFOR peacekeeping operation continues and allied military forces that removed the separatists stay deployed there for stabilization.

At the same time today there was a session of the Confederal Cabinet. Confederal Minister of Reintegration and Reconciliation of the Daredi Confederation Fulgencio Brunner now said that his Confederal Ministry will be switching focus to the self-declared Weniges Reich with the conclusion of the ‘Hasperan saga.’ The same goes for Confederal Minister of Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced People of the Daredi Confederation Tobias Schuster and Confederal Minister of Home Affairs of the Daredi Confederation Karl Weiß. President of the Daredi Confederation Hans Receni noted it will be more difficult to succeed on the Weniges front in the same way as on the Hasperan front because of Englean and not just Englean backing there. The self-declared Weniges Reich has also gone further in comparison to the defunct self-declared Hasperan Republic in severing itself from Daredland and developing an imitation of statehood. At the same meeting Confederal Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Daredi Confederation Zina Fenstermacher reminded of her Weniges peace plan and possibly engaging the Engleans and the Sunrisians on that format of temporarily resolving the problem.

JUGAC, BAGGNAGIA – Ex-Foreign Minister of former South Baggnagia Mina Symank has recovered from RETRIT-20. She remains under care at a Jugac hospital and her physical recovery is going to take some time. Symank was among the later high-profile Baggnagians to become infected back when the viruses were still a mystery to the world. Back then they were just refered to as a single virus under the name of Novell Illness or Novell Virus. Symank was also among the high-profile Baggnagian politicians whom were not handed over to Pamerava for treatment there. The Pameravan separatists just did not ask for her specifically possibly because of her association with the Congress of National Sovereignty of South Baggnagia. It was a government that replaced the Baggnagian government where Dobrin Nóvak was President. Today Dobrin Nóvak is a monarch of our nation’s separatist territory Pamerava with the title of a Prince there. So the association of Symank with the Congress is most likely where the grudge is.

NEODVISNI, PAMERAVA – A fellow people struggling for independence and recognition have lost their tragically lost their independence. In the far-away continent of Corentia the Hasperan Republic was annexed by Daredland through military aggression by Daredland and their friends. One of those friends is Sunrisia, a nation sponsoring the military government of Baggnagia and clearly not a friend of the Pameravan people. First terrorized by chokehold in a form of a blockade, enforced isolation and prohibited recognition the people of the Hasperan Republic were not allowed to developed like other nations by entering the international community. And now the Hasperan Republic ended with military aggression after having bled out before that and too weak to resist. In solidarity with the Hasperan people the Senate of Pamerava declared support and hope that the Hasperan Republic will be reestablished one day.

After the annexation of the Hasperan Republic Prince Dobrin Ustanovitelj (The Founder) and Prince Alexander Rešitelj (The Savior) came out to address the problem of security of Pamerava. Both monarchs said that the tragedy that repeated in the Hasperan Republic must not repeat in Pamerava. Especially since one of the culprits of Hasperan Republic’s annexation Sunrisia has such close ties to the main threat to Pamerava which is Baggnagia. There’s no exclusion their troops could be at Pameravan borders tomorrow and aid Baggnagia in committing the same crime as they did with the Hasperan Republic. That’s why Prince Dobrin and Prince Alexander have told the Senate that Pamerava must focus on building up its own military up to international standards from the rebel army that originally fought against Baggnagian troops for independence.

After Victory In The Hasperan Crisis, New Vesvai’s Troops Will Stay In Daredland For A Little Longer

Ministry of the Vesvaian Revolutionary Army said that the military of New Vesvai would stay over in Daredland even after the victory where occupied Daredi lands had been brought back to Daredi control and separatist tyrants were apprehended. The troops would be kept in Western Daredi territories formerly controlled by the Hasperan Republic. They would stay there alongside ACREFOR peacekeepers part of whom are contributed by New Vesvai. Night-Claw 2 Breaks Domestic Box Office At Number 1 And Receives Positive Critical Reception: Cast And Crew Talk Future Of The Film Series

Without much surprise, the second installment in the Night-Claw franchise has become the number 1 movie in Sunrisia this weekend. There was positive word of mouth already going around it from early reviews from the screenings to critics. Concerns that Night-Claw might catch a case of “sequelidus” in its’ second installment were lowered by those early reviews were lowered and now that the public has seen the movie in the theatres themselves, those concerns are gone. Review aggregator for Night-Claw 2 is at 93%, while the domestic box-office was at $67.9 million on the first day this Friday, including pre-screenings.

At the premiere, the gathered cast and crew plan to go for a trilogy at least, although the director hinted that he would be willing to go up to Night-Claw 5. Although the comic book company that the character of Night-Claw is from has a huge amount of heroes, a lot of whom had past movie, TV, video game and other adaptations, none of them had ever crossed over. The crew says that this particular Night-Claw movie franchise is a standalone and there are no plans to introduce other characters from same comic book company. However, West Zilveren Berg would replace all peacekeepers it contributed to the mission with brand new ones. The same was said by head of government – Chief Secretary Faas Van Hoebeek, who spoke about this at a cabinet gathering and in both chambers of parliament.

During the military intervention that led to the ousting of the separatists in the occupied parts of Daredland’s Haspera and basically the overthrow of the self-proclaimed Hasperan Republic, West Zilveren Berg did not participate in the combat operations. Other countries like Security Treaty ally Sunrisia and Council of 3 allies Daredland, the host country, and New Vesvai, along with other partner countries of Creperia and Edereon had sent troops to defend ACREFOR peacekeepers and peaceful protesters against separatist rule in those territories. West Zilveren Berg did not do that as a country that has proclaimed itself neutral and non-bloc. West Zilveren Self-Defense Forces (WZSDF), according to the Basic Law of the State of West Zilveren Berg, are not allow to be sent to fight overseas. As the official full name of WZSDF proclaims, the national military is only for self-defense.

Nevertheless, peacekeepers are armed for a reason and are allowed to defend themselves, which is what they did, when coming under attack by Hasperan separatist forces. However, it was only defense and no counter-attack. While other countries in ACREFOR were engaged in combat operations in addition to ongoing peacekeeping, the West Zilveren peacekeepers evacuated people from areas of danger and areas of combat, which helped prevent civilian casualties during this intervention. In ACREFOR, newly-deployed West Zilveren soldiers, replacing the previous ones, will now not only continue past objectives they had in the ACREFOR mission, but also help with repatriating evacuated people, providing them with medical help and helping in repairing property and infrastructural damage from the recent events.

It has been several weeks since the last shots were fired between Rezuan and Sunrisian warships and in that time no further violence has occurred. With this in mind, many have declared the so-called War of the Isles to be a Rezuan victory. Over the course of the war, several battles left the empire with several destoryed light warships, a dozen lost aircraft, and a casualty number of two hundred fifteen. In addition, several U-boat bases were destroyed, though their loss is much more a historical one than of actual loss. On the other hand, a Sunrisian aircraft carrier was lost in addition to light escorts and drones. The loss of such a warship will leave Sunrisia's ability to project power onto the Isles significantly crippled, with possible months or years before a new one can be made.

With only tentative peace scored in the Isles, the royal president has kept maritime forces on alert. Princess Christina will remain for an undetermined number of months to train more fighter and interceptor pilots. Additionally, the Sorilette garrison will be temporarily raised from 1,000 to 2,000 marines, with no less than four destroyers assisted to the protection of the Isles.
