LSST (Liga Super Sepak Takraw) pot draws, groups, cut-offs, and scoring will be posted to this thread. Official submittals to the LSST may also be posted here by participants. Please do NOT post OOC comments or discussion to this thread and do not post here if you do not intend to run a ST domestic league. Such posts belong in the ST DISCUSSION THREAD. The Sepak Takraw International Council (STIC) is the governing body of the clubs and national teams that play sepak takraw across the multiverse. The Council decides the hosting nations for Liga Super ST Championships and Sepak Takraw World Cups, as well as establishes the charter, constitution, and sanctions players and leagues who are in violation of these governing documents. The STIC funds tournaments, supporting the host, from dues collected by Council members and also provides officials to organize them and referee them from all Council nations.

How does a player join the next ST World Cup? A link to the sign up thread will be posted in the ST Discussion Thread. Simply declare your wish to participate in that posted ST WC sign up thread.

How does a player join the next Liga Super ST Championships?
First you must have a domestic league consisting of at least 6 named clubs. You will need to score their season using Xkoranate badminton, which produces results closest to Sepak Takraw. The top two teams can then be submitted to this Domestic Newswire thread for participation in the next upcoming edition of the LSST. Such a post would look like THIS. Post your domestic leagues/associations/federations here in this thread, as well as any domestic RP, should you not have your own domestic newswire thread. Even if you do have such a thread, you are still welcome to copy over some RP and highlights, and season finals scoring here. See top about posting unrelated content or discussion to this thread.

Is there a good example of a domestic sepak takraw association or league you can get ideas from to form your own? Yes, Springmont’s Association is an excellent example for anyone starting their own sepak takraw association.

STAP Fifth Season 2019-2020 Result

Pemecutan Puri, - STAP make some changes when the fifth season started. The first is the sponsor changing. Campuhan Cruise which have been the sponsored of STAP domestic league from the start have not extend their sponsorship contract after its 4 years contract. Fortunately, Mengwi State Bank comes at the last moment to finally sponsored the fifth season league. The second change is the competition name. During the first four season under Campuhan Cruise sponsorship STAP domestic league was named STAP Premier League and STAP Second League. In this fifth season, the name is change into STAP Uluan Division (for the first tier competition) and STAP Tebenan Division (for the second tier competition). The third and last change is the addition of two new clubs which expand the competition into 32 clubs with 16 clubs in each tier.

Differ from the Fourth Season, in the Fifth Season 4 clubs from Second League (or Tebenan Division now) are promoted to Premier League (or Uluan Division now). The four promoted clubs are Kerobokan Westwind, Gelogor Marines, Abiansemal Squirrel and Mengwi East Side. After 30 match days, Kerobokan Westwind successfully becomes the champion in Uluan Division. Their success also buried the dream of Sumerta Copperhead to win their third consecutive championship. The Copperhead ended as the second place.

Anyat Dominates Championship Game to Win First National Title

SETANGI - Saturday's main event at the National Indoor Arena in Setangi was the championship match of the inaugural Sepak Takraw National Championship, pitting favorites Anyat against challengers Taman Tunku Muda.

Taman Tunku Muda, led by Sudirman bin Abdul Majid, performed admirably in the opening set, falling short by just three points as Anyat pulled away in the later stages to win the set, 21-18. Amir Noor, Anyat's star player, confounded his opponents with many brilliantly placed shots.

As well as Taman Tunku Muda played in the first set, the second set was an absolute disaster for them. They scored just three points in the entire set as Anyat surged past them in a fury of fine play. Spectators of the match, excepting those present who were on the side of the Taman Tunku Muda team, raucously approved of the spectacle before their eyes. After the match, as the Anyat team lifted the winner's trophy and Amir collected his Tournament Most Valuable Player Award, Anyat supporters rushed the court and carried the three players out of the arena.

Anyat and Taman Tunku Muda will now represent Tanah Jaya at the upcoming Liga Super Sepak Takraw competition. Liga Super ST will feature all of the top Sepak Takraw teams in the multiverse.

Mako Arena, Inkopolis (15,000 capacity)
The Mako Arena is Squidroidia's largest indoor stadium, set to the backdrop of the Polaris district of Inkopolis, the nation's capital. It has been the site of numerous concerts from the multiverse's independent music scene and also hosts the Squidroidia Sepak Takraw Champions Grand Final to determine the season champions. The Squidroidian government has also eyed up hosting basketball tournaments at the venue.

Due to uncertainty about how the the Liga Super ST Championships will play out, the Mako Arena and the Squidroidian delegation (Including SSTC Commissioner Mubiru Sweet) are open to many different formats with the assurance that the 15,000 seater venue will play host to at least the Final. Assuming that no more nations join in, the competition will be set at 16 teams. Solutions for this size include:

Straight Knockout: Done in the style of the IUBC Trophy Playoffs, the 16 teams will be drawn against each other, with no nations being able to have both of their teams compete against each other in the Octofinals. All games in this format will be held at the Mako Arena from the Octofinals all the way to the Final in which a multiversal sepak takraw club champion will be crowned. All matches will consist of single games.

Group Stage and best of 3 knockouts: Similar to how the IFCF does its group stages, the teams will be drawn into 4 groups of 4 with the teams in said group competing against each other twice, home and away. Wins are worth 3 points and losses are worth no points. In event of a tie (which is likely), the following tiebreakers will be used:

• 1. Head to Head wins
• 2. Head to Head regu difference
• 3. Head to Head regus for
• 4. Overall wins
• 5. Overall regu difference
• 6. Overall regus for
• 7. A tiebreaker game held at a neutral site to be determined by the STIC or the drawing of lots

After the group stage, the top 2 teams in each group compete in a knockout stage comprising of best of 3 rounds. For the quarter-final draw, all 8 teams are grouped into seeded and unseeded pots depending on whether or not they won their group. The teams will then be drawn seeded pot first, then unseeded pot, then repeat. In the case that both teams a nation sends to the LSST qualify for the quarter-finals and are in the 2 pots separately (Team A is seeded while Team B is unseeded) they cannot be drawn against each other. The semi-finals are open draw, and teams from the same nation can face each other from that round going forward. Each tie will consist of best of 3 games, from the quarterfinals to the final. The game format for each round goes like this:

• Quarter-finals - Game 1 at seeded team, game 2 at unseeded team, game 3 at seeded team if necessary
• Semi-finals - Game 1 at team drawn first, game 2 at team drawn second, game 3 at team drawn first if necessary
• Final - All 3 games held at the Mako Arena, game 1 designated for the first semi-final winner, game 2 designated for the 2nd semi-final winner, game 3 designated for the first semi-final winner if necessary

Single Round Robin league and Final 8 playoff format - Similar to how some basketball leagues operate their seasons, this is the longest of the 3 formats the Squidroidian delegation has come up with. Each team will play each other once, for some 7 at home and 8 away, for others 8 at home and 7 away. The same tiebreaker format from the group stage system will be applied but with a tiebreaker game being the 6th tiebreaker. The top 8 teams qualify for a seeded knockout tournament at Mako Arena, with the ties either single games or best of 3 as decided by the STIC.

A decision on national ranking points in order to determine a nation's coefficient will be left to the STIC to decide.
