How long do you think this will take? Two months? Three months? Longer. I'm guessing that those from outside the shortlist will be the last of the contest issues to get published

I would envisage the top 10 being prioritised. The rest really depends on editorial preference - who picks up what, and when they want to work on it.

The team is waiting for me to take my finger out of my ass and weigh in on the submissions, I think I'm one of the last to do so, so if there's a delay, it's my fault.

Well, the contest is over, and I have the happy task of announcing the top ten issues.

Here they are in alphabetical order:

Thank you for your patience while waiting for the team to cast our votes.

We are currently in the stage of considering potential issue editors. As we had a large number of quality entrants, this may take some time.

All in all, it was a very successful contest with a good amount of high-quality drafts, of which a massive 48 made the shortlist. While we're working to get the top ten added to the game as soon as possible, I think we can all look forward to seeing plenty of new issues added to the game in the coming months (so don't despair if you don't see your issue on the list; we envisage that much of the shortlist and some of the contest submissions that just missed out will be added).

Great work, all!

If I somehow made the top ten cut I would not accept the editor role due to RL stuff and other work.

We haven't decided yet who we're interested in as editor(s). I'm not even sure how many we're going to have.

I'm very happy to see of all my drafts, my 3Cs draft make it to top ten. :D

Also really neat to see the top ten are all written by different authors.

I can definitely see a few of the folks in the top ten being editors. Myself not included for a multitude of reasons I've mentioned before. :P

How many editors you do usually welcome to the team after each issues contests?

Massive congratulations to all those who made the top 10!

Additionally, congratulations to the nations who wrote the other 38 short-listed issues - writing issues can be hard, so getting something out that's good enough to make a shortlist is very much still worthy of recognition.

Congrats to everyone! And here’s to me thinking Honey, Where Are My Super Powers made it. Lol.

Just a clarification, are only the top ten considered for Editors? Or are close calls potentially getting a call up?

We will probably choose from the top 10, but you never know. Stranger things have happened.

My dream of being an editor still lives on...

Anyways, especially happy for Westinor and Pythaga, two excellent issues from relative newbies to the game.
