Recent reports from oceanographic organisations around the world indicate a major undersea Earthquake occurring in the Southern Pacific Ocean, a few hundred kilometres off mainland Australia. Satellite images indicate that several new rock formations and islands have appeared in the once untouched and unexplored part of the ocean.


Reports from fishermen and passing boats have confirmed that these islands have what appear to be man-made or artificial structures on them, resembling towers. It is currently not known why the satellite imagery is missing the structures described, and instead show only empty rocks and sand covered islands.


Reports of humanoid figures on the islands have prompted the Australian government to send investigation teams to the islands; however, just a few kilometres away from the shore of one of the islands, a severe storm, coupled with wind and lightning, caused the boat to go missing. It has not been recovered since.


Instruments from the International Oceanographic Organisation have shown evidence of several deep vocalisations being made around 50 kilometres below the surface of the ocean; it is currently not known how this is possible, given that the seabed is measured to be only 8 kilometres below the surface.


For now, the world can only watch and wait.

Public Announcement Regarding "Anomalous Events" in the South Pacific

Earlier today (10/7), the Maritime Authority has received reports by the Nacrad Meteorological Authority (NMA), Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), et al., that an undersea earthquake of roughly Richter Scale M 6.9 has occurred at approximately 29°36'21" S 162°47'33" W (further details found at the NMA website), which is roughly 2,400 km (1,295 nmi) northeast of Wellington, though neither Australia, New Zealand, nor any other nearby states have reported any tsunamis.

However, passing ships and boats have confirmed that several new rock formations, atolls and islands have formed around the aforementioned location. All of them reported that these islands host, taken ad verbatim, "Towers reaching up to 50 meters tall, inhabited by what looks like humans in some sort of uniform, [...]". However, during the transmission, the established connection had abruptly been stopped. As of 16:30 Nacrad Standard Time, 16 hours after the final transmission, this ship still cannot be reached. The crew is missing, and Nacrad has mobilised its best efforts in recovering it.

The observations made by passing ships, however, are incongruent with the satellite imagery, which show these islands to be only empty sandbars and rocks. In any case, ships are advised to avoid entering the region as defined in the following sections, so as to avoid these islands, be they inhabited or not.

It was also alerted to the NMA and the Maritime Authority by the International Oceanographic Organisation that there has been evidence that several "deep vocalisations", estimated to be made at around 50 km below surface, were made. The NMA has also recorded a similar event. However, the IOO has warned that this kind of depth is impossible given the local topography.

In light of these abnormal events centered around 29°36'21" S 162°47'33" W, the Maritime Authority hereby issues an "Avoid Access if Possible" warning to the area bound by a rectangle, which has the vertices:

• 27°35'80" S, 165°0'0" W

• 27°35'80" S, 160°0'0" W

• 31°35'80" S, 165°0'0" W

• 31°35'80" S, 160°0'0" W

The Maritime Authority strongly advises all vessels and ships to detour from the above-mentioned area, due to the abnormal events in the above sector. No naval escort is available.

On 20/7/2020, at exactly 4.30 p.m. Greenwich Time, several pieces of monitoring equipment throughout the entire Southern Pacific Ocean simultaneously failed, after delivering readings that were beyond the range of said instruments.

Several earthquakes, of a magnitude too high to have been accurately determined by modern instruments, occurred along the entirety of the South Pacific ocean. Satellite imagery confirms that at a location with the approximate coordinates of [ERROR: INVALID COORDINATE], the sea level dramatically increased by around [ERROR: INVALID STRING]. It is not known how such an increase did not result in any tsunamis; experts estimate a tsunami from a sea level increase that big had the potential to cover entire continents underwater.

Of note are reports from coast guards patrolling the Western Australian coast; according to several coastguards, a "shadow that looked almost human" could be seen in the horizon at around the time; however, reconnaissance teams have found nothing of note within the region, save for the sudden disappearance of several species of marine life in the South Pacific. Further investigations are ongoing.

The Maritime Authority was shocked at this report. The folklore of Nacrad says that there were indeed paranormal beings in the South Pacific, around where the anomalies happened. They immediately made another announcement:

Establishment of Exclusion Zone in the South Pacific due to Abnormal Events

The Maritime Authority was informed by the various entities monitoring the South Pacific Ocean that the abnormal events in the South Pacific have intensified. Due to the disturbing nature of the events, please read the records in the Governmental News Website at your own discretion.

As a result, the Maritime Authority hereby institutes an exclusion zone in the south pacific, bound by these points:

• Tauranga, New Zealand

• Adamstown

• Tonga

On 21st of July, 2020, out of the depths of the Southern Pacific Ocean, at the coordinates 49°51'S 128°34'W, the sunken city rose up from beyond the sea floor. As it did so, it created a massive tidal wave, stretching 1 kilometre in height, that managed to reach as far as Chile and New Zealand, wreaking havoc on the coastal settlements there; a British scientific base located at the Northern tip of Antarctica was also lost under the waves, along with all of its inhabitants.


Once again, satellite imagery failed to show the appearance of any new structures. A team of investigators was sent out from the International Oceanographic Organisation; a member of the team gave the following account:

"There was an island, and on that island we saw a city. Not a city in the normal sense, but something else altogether, something which gave us all there a sense of utter horror, as well as fascination."


"We could only see a part of it from our ship, of course, but my god...it was unbelievable. There were giant black towers, that seemed to stretch into the clouds and disappear; but they were not towers in the normal sense, no...they had twisted angles, surfaces that seemed to not be flat but instead curved inwards into some other dimension, if that is even possible...and when we looked at the towers through binoculars, we saw on them inscriptions, carved figures of beings we immediately understood as something we could not comprehend...they had architecture that composed of several odd protrusions, as if something within the citadels themselves had been trying to escape, but the buildings had warped themselves along with it..."


"And then we saw it. On top of the tallest of all citadels, there lay a figure. We looked through the binoculars, but we could not see it clearly...it looked as if it were barely within reality itself...so ethereal, and transparent, and smoke-like...and it called at us to come closer, with a voice within our heads, to see the city for ourselves, all the wonders within it, all the knowledge in its buildings..."


"We turned away at that point...as our ship was sailing away, I looked back, and suddenly, the city seemed almost even more menacing and terrifying then it first had been, as if it was angry at our betrayal."

Reports from the IOO confirm that the entire investigation team went missing shortly after their return from the expedition.


Meanwhile, the IOO had to relieve several Scientists and researchers from their positions within the past 2 days, following incidents whereby certain members of the organisation tried to question why the issue on the South Pacific had not gotten as much attention as it deserved --- the IOO officially labelled them as "paranoid and delusional, claiming some sort of 'memetic effect' related to the incidents that was supposedly preventing authorities from probing too deep, a theory that has been thoroughly discounted by the rest of the Scientific community.".


The IOO has confirmed that the nature of these incidents do not warrant any further investigation, and have declared the area around the newly risen island as safe to travel.
