While the Federal Court has never been officially closed, the Federal Court had retired 90% of it's staff, and maintained only a handful of judges, who had only been tasked with ruling over decisions by paper.
However, The Federal Council has officially reopened the entire Department of Justice as of July 4th, 2020, including the Federal Court. This vote was made after some very curious accusations of sexual misconduct by a prominent member of the council (herein, unnamed) had been brought to public attention. While the bill had to be rewritten, as to not directly imply that the vote was due solely to that incident, the official news of the day is that justice has returned to Chadtonia.
