With the new decade bringing an Economic Miracle to Lindale, the government is investing new surplus into the nation's infrastructure. Thanks to investment in new technologies, domestic airports are now able to operate during the winter, which has never been possible until today! With the ban on Winter flights lifted and new regulations in place, permits are now being granted to our nation's many gateways for new international airlines.
About Capital of Albany International Airport
Completed constructed in 2007, the Capital of Albany International Airport has been the premier gateway for the nation, with it's proximity to the capital's various mass transit terminals, but also thousands of flight connections each day providing non-stop flights to 80% of Lindale. When the original runway was being extended in 2012, the University of Kirkwall had begun experimenting with architecture design with the older Terminal A, and had created the first apron in the world, enclosed in a structural housing. This allowed aircraft to remain parked at their gates during the groundings during the winter, allowing more space to be allocated in hangers for maintenance and long term storage.
When unveiled in 2017, apron capacity had doubled, weather-related damage incidents had fallen by 71%, and airfares had dropped by 83%. The success was soon brought to the other terminals, and upon completion in 2018, had given the Capital of Albany International Airport a record in 2019, of 683 million passengers.
Despite a global pandemic, the Capital of Albany International Airport continues to thrive with new medical technologies, that allow us to continue to operate. Along with face masks being common in society before the virus, airlines in reaction to the Ebola Outbreak regularly clean their aircraft with chlorine. Also, 90% of surfaces within the airport are Antimicrobial Copper Alloy, which is bacteria-resistant, regardless of our extra cleaning.
The Republic of Lindale is lifting restrictions on international travel and we would love for you to come and join us in connecting Lindale and the world.
