Ontorisa, before you spend more time on this, perhaps you should be aware of this.

Something you could contribute would be to make wiki pages for previous tournaments. Or maybe you could make an entry for the Hockey Champions League, or do some worldbuilding to give your teams backstory. You could decide who you want to nominate.

As per the rest of your message, my issue isn't that we're broken and need a ton of time, and frantic measures to fix this, my issue is that all of these resources are available and yet they're not visible and a click away.

I don't want to have to scour NSWiki (because first of all, I really dislike editing on there as a somewhat casual player, and secondly, I never go on there personally) for our past winners. It should be on the OP. That's my issue.

Be careful with NSWiki. I updated all of the WCoH tournaments back in 2012/2013, including score tables for each individual game. And then NSWiki vanished and all of that work was lost.

I take a liberty to compile a catalog of links to previous hockey world cup competitions. Thanks to Donnacona, who gave a much needed help with 13th edition, we have a full line of linkes right to the 9th tournament. Unfortunately, I don't found anything about first eight editions.
I'm seriously thinking about compiling results into a some sort of statistical book with pictures in pdf format, but this work looked quite voluminous and not in particular demand.

Anyway, there is a first version of the statistical compendium of WCoH results. I put in five first available tournaments with all results and tables, add details about following ones with lists of participants, and make a complete (really certainly incomplete and with many errors) alphabet list of every participants with a number of tournaments they played in. Had to give up idea of adding graphic materiel, since there was almost nothing to speak of, though.

Probably I will not return to this work, but hoping my actions move others to continue these toils. Everyone can take file and do whatever he see fit - add info, delete info, rearrange it every imaginable way and reproduce in convenient form.

Dear all WCoH 40 participants,

Due to a withdrawal by Free Republics, there will be rearranging of pots and redrawing of groups. As I'm currently waiting for my flight in Toronto Airport, there may be possible delays to it. Therefore, expect possible changes to the schedule to fit this situation as well.

I will also state that from this point, no signup will be allowed to withdraw from the participation of the entire tournament. This will be my policy as your host.

Once again, my apologies for not anticipating a rogue situation.
