For most of my life, 23 degrees has been room temperature. That's what my parents set the AC to and many of my friends had cheaper parents who wouldn't go below 25. At night I would sleep naked with the fan on full blast.

On another note I'll change my answer for climate.
My dumbass forgot I had morning sinus, and that's caused by COLD weather. So, I hate the hot weather because it's unbearable, but I can't stay in a cold climate for too long.
I would say Australia and New Zealand when it comes to climate.
Myanmar would have been an option for me but there's something there that bugs me.

You might want to visit Southeast Asia first... it's literally heaven for mosquitoes, cockroaches, centipedes, and other tiny devils you can think of but on the other side, there's verdant and really beautiful scenery all year round. It would be a good place to live if you can stand the humid air, of course.

Sorry but in my exp Singapore climate feels like everywhere else in SEA.Sarderia wrote:Questarian New Yorkshire wrote: he said "here" in his post so it's a good guess he's from singapore lol
Singapore isn't Myanmar, they got literally tons of AC there it feels more like Italy or Spain. And of course mosquitoes and roaches wouldn't want to be in Singapore. The country is just too very clean for that.

I don't think there's any meaningful climate difference between KL and Singapore.Sarderia wrote:Questarian New Yorkshire wrote: Sorry but in my exp Singapore climate feels like everywhere else in SEA.

Really? I've been to Singapore and I found it more akin to Athens or Naples than Jakarta or KL. The city plan is European-style and there is a lot of British buildings around. The climate is not too unbearably hot like other SEA capital cities (that maybe coming from the urban heat island's, because for example people in Jakarta and KL travel more by car while Singaporeans by their mass transit options).

I'm gonna guess its the wind. Both Sabah and Sarawak get wind. I mean Sabah isn't called land below the wind for nothing. It can be pretty breezy - a lot of houses built at a higher elevation as well. Certainly in April - May the actual temperature in East Msia is not lower. So it must be something else.New Bremerton wrote:The rest of SEA, including Sarawak where I currently live, sucks balls although I will grant that the Borneo sunset is among the most beautiful in the world. Sarawak used to have really nice beaches too. Rising sea levels in recent years have erased them from existence. One other thing I've noticed is that West Malaysia and Indochina tend to be far more sticky and humid than East Malaysia.

some parts of all countries are dirty... but KL is something else. remember they closed raj banana leaf because theres a video online of the workers literally washing stuff in the drain (overrated anyway, like with everything in bangsar)New Bremerton wrote:Last time I was in Singapore, the streets of Little India were strewn with litter. HK post-SARS is so much cleaner. HK during the summer months is also objectively hotter than Singapore all year round. East Malaysia feels cooler for some reason. Here, we get the full blast of the northeast monsoon during the winter months in the form of endless precipitation.
