I fancy the idea of skiing down the Alps, and visiting the mystical fairytale-like forests.
Also I'm bored of an all-summer year cuz I live right above the equator. Since my family's financial situation isn't quite good my chances of travelling there are low.

I crave summer because I moved from Florida to Germany a few years ago and now I only get 3 reliably warm months instead of 9.

For example, if you like mountains and chose Afghanistan, there is no Taliban out to get you. If you like West Africa, there is no Ebola and no civil war. You don't have to learn a new language or go through an immigration process, you just pick somewhere to live where you like the weather. (The real world population is the same, so if you choose to live up in the mountains you don't get to live in a big city, if you choose Antarctica you have to live in a research station, etc.)
I would choose La Paz in Baja California Sur, Mexico, because it meets my top 3 criteria: Warm weather throughout the year, lots of sunshine, and proximity to the ocean.

Second place is Felipe Carrillo Puerto, in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. It's a smallish town of only 25,000 people, but at least it's away from that state's huge seas of tourists (that's the same state as Cancun, Playa del Carmen, etc.). Including all the other factors beyond geography and climate, I would much rather live in Mexico than Ghana; I actually would like to move to Mérida in a few years.
Conserative Morality wrote:"It's not time yet" is a tactic used by reactionaries in every era. "It's not time for democracy, it's not time for capitalism, it's not time for emancipation." Of course it's not time. It's never time, not on its own. You make it time. If you're under fire in the no-man's land of WW1, you start digging a foxhole even if the ideal time would be when you *aren't* being bombarded, because once you wait for it to be 'time', other situations will need your attention, assuming you survive that long. If the fields aren't furrowed, plow them. If the iron is not hot, make it so. If society is not ready, change it.

Three days without a trace of the disappeared militiawoman in the border with Moskivia • Popular assemblies vote against accepting foreign military weapons as tensions with Moskivia increase • A shortage of sugar, citrus fruits and corn is expected • Enokomune exports, considered non-competitive, are banned in many nations as punishment, the industry suffers the consequences.

Damn, Ho actually does have amazing weather according to that wikipedia page.
Me, I've always thought that the Middle East would have been really cool were it not for all the wars and autocracy and such. Hot, sunny, mostly dry, scenic mountains, breathtaking ocean views. Not to mention all of the history packed there, I'd never run out of ancient temples, statues, inscriptions in mountainsides, cities as old as civilisation itself, palaces ... to go and see. And of course the food's good too.
Only problem is that I've grown to quite like having some rain here and there too (damn British weather influences!). So possibly shift the location to be somewhere in Turkey.
