Kamooko, Placeoderms

President Beto Rubio, of the government-in-exile of September Island, stood at the lectern, stony faced, as the photographers snapped away with their cameras, waiting for the rest of his remaining cabinet so file in behind him. He took the time to think about how it had gone so wrong; how his grand plan had instead turned out to be a series of disasters, each more devastating for his fledgling nation than the last. First, he had allowed the Election Commission to invalidate the results of the merger referendum with the UCSO. The truth, which few outside of his inner circle knew, was that the "conspirators" who had supposedly worked fraudulently as part of the Yes campaign had, in fact, been opposition plants, working hard to insure that the results would be declared fraudulent through their much publicized efforts to "rig" them. In reality, the opposition, knowing they had no chance of winning fairly, had undertaken the plot, and had been met with success. After that failure, the Oceanians had begun to look at Beto with suspicion, as a man who couldn't get things done. When the war with Sevevill began soon after, Rubio had decided not to back the Oceanians in the fight, foolishly thinking that he could keep the Island out of the war altogether.

That had been his second mistake; he had called on the Kamooko Pact to guarantee September Island's neutrality. What he realized, soon after, was that there was to be no neutrality for September Island, something he should have predicted; the KP was too weak to prevent any foreign powers from using the Island to their advantage in the war. First, his nation's neutrality had been violated by Altos and Stratis, and then by Sevevill.

When Sevevill eventually invaded, he had made another mistake, going along with the KP's plan to continue to uphold September Island's clearly shredded semblance of "neutrality", instead of allying with what had become the UCSO coalition outright. That decision had completely cost him the support of the one force, Oceania, that could potentially save his nation; despite having vastly superior logistical knowledge and tactial experience from their last incursion into September Island than the Sevevillians did, Oceania stayed put, keeping its forces reserved in preparation of a potential invasion of the mainland, and letting the SIDF, the KP forces and its partners bear the brunt of the fighting. That invasion of Oceania had never materialized, thanks to international pressure on Sevevill, but September Island had lost everything. The Sevevillian forces had overrun the country, pushing them back further and further, until all that was left was the capital of September City. The KP had evacuated the civilian leadership and command staff, including Beto, out of September Island and over to the UCSO, before having them flown to Kamooko once the Sevevillian blockade had been lifted. Just as the authoritarian leadership before him, Beto's administration had become a government in exile. It was ironic; his democratically elected administration had suffered the same fate as the autocratic one that had proceeded it.

Sometimes, Beto wondered what had become of September Island's old dictator and his cronies. The last time anyone had heard from them, they had fled to Vilhala; after the counter-invasion had failed, they had gone silent. He was sure they had offered something, probably money, to the Vilhalans in exchange for their support; perhaps, with all of their assets having been frozen by September Island's new government, the Vilhalans had realized that there would be no return on their investment and had done away with them and had them executed. He would probably never know.

All of these thoughts were pushed to the side as the room quieted and he began his speech.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, many days ago now, on my inauguration, I swore an oath to uphold the constitution of the September Republic, and protect September Island from any threats that may befall it. It is with great pain, that I admit that myself and my administration, has not succeeded in protecting September Island. Today, our beloved nations sits in the hands of a foreign empire, one which has destroyed far too many families, and needlessly ended far too many lives; the Empire of Sevevill.

"But we are not alone in our failure. Alongside us, the Kamooko Pact fought valiantly to defend our sovereignty and repel the Sevevillian invaders. Unfortunately, it has not been enough. While we thank the Kamooko Pact wholeheartedly for all of their efforts, it is time now to look at other options to reclaim our great nation.

"It is with this in mind that I announce, with a heavy heart, that the government of September Island is terminating its relationship with the Kamooko Pact. We thank the government of Placeoderms for their hospitality in hosting us here, but we will be relocating to a location closer to home.

"It is clear that Sevevill will not listen to reason. The strong words from nations around Markion have not resulted in any change in Sevevill's action. That is why we ask today that the international community take military action, as has previously been suggested by the nations of Arcadia, Altos and Stratis, and others, to remove the illegal Sevevillian occupation. We ask anyone who will listen, please, help free our great nation from the yoke of tyranny and oppression. Please, help liberate September Island."

Several hours later, as the President boarded a private flight bound for Entropia, Oceania, he wondered if what he said would make a difference. Only time would tell.

To Supreme Councilor Jackson of Oceania and his people, I, Queen Cassiopeia Blaken-Kazansky, send my greetings.

The people of Oceania have weathered a mighty storm. Around them, their home region was enveloped in a blizzard of violence and disaster. Mysterious pandemics, murderous death cults, and genocidal Sevevillean aggression had put the knife at Oceania's throat. Only through the heroic efforts of the civilized nations of the world was the knife pushed away. Only through the sacrifice and bravery of Oceania's people, aided by their allies and their friends, does Oceania still stand, even while others of its neighbors are consumed in fear, darkness, and disease.

Yet a lot remains to be done. Oceania's fields and fishing grounds are poisoned by the Sevevillean genocidaires. Its airports and ports are damaged, its power grid disrupted. Its neighbors, the Rudonians, are doing even worse, as millions lie dead and the country's cities in ruins. I appreciate now that darkness seems to encroach upon you.

Yet I tell you now: forget about the darkness. For there are those who will light in this darkness a radiant light. And those people are not some foreign saviors, not heroes from a far-off land who may or may not come. You – with our assistance – will be those people.

I have conferred with military and civilian disaster recovery experts, and they have assured me that – should Supreme Councilor Rebecca Jackson agree to my offer – together we can save millions of lives and nurse Oceania back to prosperity, help it become a beacon of civilization better and brighter than it was before.

We have worked out a plan which we have designated Operation Undying Light.

It consists of three important phases, which will be initiated simultaneously.

In Phase One, we will airlift emergency supplies, repair crews, and relief specialists to Oceania. These will staunch the bleeding, solve the most urgent deficits, rescue those who need rescuing the most, and repair that infrastructure that is most urgently in need of repair. This will enable Oceania not only to stand on its own two feet, but to assist the refugees that are now flowing in from September Island, fleeing the Sevevillean genocidaires.

In Phase Two, we will engage in decontamination and rebuilding efforts. In some places we will work to decontaminate the soil and water affected by the genocidaires' chemical weapons, rebuild power plant or build ne ones. In others, we will build entirely new infrastructure – irrigation complexes, power plants, desalination plant – to create fresh agricultural efforts in areas which were never contaminated to start with. We will work also with private industry by issuing grants to those who will build aquaculture farms, tower farms, and other innovative solutions that neither depend on contaminated soil nor are able to be harmed by defoliants, should the Sevevillean murderers attempt another series of war crimes.

In Phase Three, we will work together with the people and government of Oceania to assist its neighbors who are most seriously affected by the disasters. We offer you not merely to be recipients of our aid (though there is nothing wrong about accepting aid in dire need) – we offer you a chance to be heroes, to join us as we stand in the darkness, holding up the radiant light of civilization, peace, and assistance.

This, in short, is the plan for Operation Undying Light.

And all you need to do is accept.

May the Gods bless Oceania.

May they forever continue to bless Allanea.

GRA Today: Ultimatum Issued to the Empire of Sevevill, threats of war loom

With the termination of KP involvement in the September Islands and their calls for freedom, the Arcadian Federation has issued an ultimatum for Sevevill to begin a full withdrawal within the next two weeks or face war. Military forces in the Commonwealths of Altaguay and New Dacruz have begun full mobilization, with more forces staging in nearby military bases abroad. This move is followed by an invitation to a mutual defense pact known as the Allied Security and Assistance Force, which many inlight of recent events tout the pact as a defensive alliance with 'teeth'. Naval units are already moving onward to the next possible theatre of warfare.

The Arcadian Embassy in the Empire of Sevevill has been ordered to discuss the rules and laws of the possible conflict to protect civilians and prisoners of war on both sides. The Arcadian government is also moving to create secure lines of communications with the UCSO, and the September Island's government, and military forces for the possibility of military intervention. The Congress of Nations has also put a full halt on any trade with the Empire of Sevevill.

The Imperial Military Council’s Markion Command requested members of the 51st and 53rd Mountain Division alongside an additional battalion of ISOF to be sent to the peninsula to finish to the Xekniks(nickname for the Xekniyans). The Imperial Military Council obliged but also got word of the Armed Wing of the Ashtere is also sending in their troops alongside additional numbers of troops to the peninsula for an unknown reason.

2 Days later, a message from high command was sent to the selected generals saying that they will be sent to the peninsula to assist the military forces in Markinian Tyria. They didn’t know why they were sent but went they did, the message says that to meet at the militia headquarters in Markinian Tyria to receive further instructions…

THE DECLARATION OF WAR

2035, Tyrman State Television

Head of the Imperial Assembly: On (Month, Day) 2035, the majority of the imperial parliament has voted to pass this declaration of war on the National Republic of Phoenxia. The resolution to declare war on the National Republic of Phoenixia and the reasons to occupy Phoenixia is to maintain the stability and the security of the colony of Markninian Tyria and to protect Tyrman interests from the enemies within the Markion region. Therefore we have sent members of the Imperial Armed Services(Official name of the Tyrman Military) to assist the colonial militia of Markinian Tyria to occupy the National Republic of Phoenxia and control their ports.

-The Tyrman Imperial Armed Services and the militia of Markinian Tyria will occupy the National Republic of Phoenixia
-The Tyrman Imperial Armed Services will occupy captured ports
-Local and regional administrative government will not be disbanded
-Local law enforcement will not be disbanded but would be under the command of the Council of the Imperial Gendarmerie
-Captured territories of the National Republic of Phoenixia will be put under subjugation.

In response to unprovoked Tyrman aggression towards the sovereign nation of Phoenixia, Alliance Military Control has been given expanded wartime powers in order to act quickly and decisively, the combined military of Guanja and Terestroi now answers directly to the Commander-In-Chief of the Alliance and will no longer require the people's permission to act allowing for full operational freedom. As well as this, the Terestroian diplomats have recently arrived in Sjovenia with the original plan of discussing the intervention and reformation of Phoenixia. Now new instructions have been issued and the GDU; sent a message:

To: Greater Ministry of Drejveškan Foreign Affairs
From: Alliance International Office
PRIORITY & ENCRYPTION: HIGH

Greetings,

Due to the official announcement of a declaration of war by the Tyrman state, we have deemed it in Phoenixia's best interest to deploy our forces and move past your blockade. Our forces have been ordered to move past peacefully and without incident but have also been given orders to move to Phoenixia and protect it from Tyrman invasion and liberate any captured territories. The following alliance mandate has been suspended until further notice:

- The Greater Drejveskan Union will assist the standing down and disbanding of all active and inactive military or paramilitary forces in Phoenixia immediately.
- The Greater Drejveskan Union will assist in ceasing operations being conducted by all active and inactive military or paramilitary forces in Phoenixia immediately.
- The Greater Drejveskan Union will assist in investigating the war crimes committed by the Phoenixian government against the Xekniyan peoples.
- The Greater Drejveskan Union will support the independence of Xekniya into a free and independent republic.
- The Greater Drejveskan Union will assist in beginning preparations for our interventional forces. You will provide the following:

- Suitable areas that can accommodate a full division of 10,000 Guanjan marines and wherein the Alliance Military Control can set up a base of operations.
- Suitable quarters for the soon-to-arrive Terestroian diplomatic attachment and its security detail in the Phoenixian capital.
- Food & Shelter for the new garrison.
- Full access to Phoenixian military installations and archives.

- The Greater Drejveskan Union will assist in passing control of the government of Phoenixia to the Terestroian diplomatic attachment (upon arrival) who will act as an interim government until the intervention is over. After which, a new Phoenixian election will be allowed to proceed with no outer influence from the North-Western Alliance or the Greater Drejveskan Union

In return for these gestures of goodwill, the North-Western Alliance will assist in the CDP-NLFN War. We shall provide the following:

- A declaration of war and sanctions against the NLFN
- Information regarding NLFN troop movements and force weight
- An Alliance Military Control strike force consisting of the following:

- One aircraft carrier with a full complement of fighters
- Two destroyers
- One battlecruiser
- Three submarines
- Eight frigates
- Various support vessels
- Transports carrying a division of ten thousand Guanjan marines
- Additional supporting non-combatant units

We hope that your fleet will join us in protecting the proud nation of Phoenixia.

With blessings from God,
International Officer Gaspard de Guevill

Gostilka Otok, Near Phoenixian National Waters
Admiral Davignon Beule

The Admiral had done it, he had passed the GDU blockade without incident, save the escort now following them. Thankfully the leaders of the NWA and GDU had sorted out their issues and the intervention could finally go forward. The AMC strike force was large enough to secure the entirety of Phoenixia, let alone Xekniya, however, orders were to take it one day at a time and wait for any possible openings to advance the NWA mandate for Phoenixia. Davignon hoped this would be a short intervention, yet he wasn't so sure it would be. Drejveska was a place of seemingly constant conflict, death and authoritarianism. While Authority wasn't so bad if kept in check, there seemed to be no end to conflicts in Drejveska but the same could be said for Markion itself with the two empires propping up puppets like Urlistan and Urilas... strange how those two had such similar names.

But now was not the time to ponder on what might have been a previous Amlug colony from the age of discovery, now was the time to focus upon the task at hand. An assistant approached the Admiral with some unease. The Admiral took a puff from his pipe and blew the smoke into the open air, "have you something for me, good sir?" The assistant looked at his commanding officer of forty-eight and managed to squeak something out, "Yes sir, the Tyrmen have deployed a large force of reinforcements at one of their ports near the Tyrman-Phoenixian border." the Admiral took the papers in the man's hand and began to look over it. "That's Xekniyan country, boy, don't you forget it. Go prepare me some coffee, make yourself one if you want, once this all starts we'll have a few long nights ahead of us." The assistant nodded and went back into the ship.

The key to all this was Xekniya, secure it and it may keep Phoenixia safe from the main fighting allowing the AMC forces to keep the Tyrmen at bay, with no small help from the GDU... hopefully.

ANN: The line in the sand

The Arcadian Federation at the request of the United City-States of Oceania and the September Islands has drawn a line in the sand with the empire of Sevevill leaving many wondering will the cold war turn hot with these chain of events. Arcadian military forces are already arriving in staging areas across the globe positioned to strike on the Empire of Sevevill if the two-week deadline is not met. The office of the Chancellory has also called for talks with the leaders of all sides for the respective Sevevillian withdrawal.

General Tristan Blattner of the third Army has been placed in charge of the military forces assigned to the standoff. The Arcadian government has also called to meet with the governments of the UCSO and the SI for greater cohesion during this crisis.

Dieulafoy Army-Air Corps base, Empire of Urlias

Cpt. Emmerich Stenzel, 4th Fighter Squadron,2nd Fighter Wing

Since the rest of the forces from the eastern command got here Dieulafoy has been overcrowded. Emmerich has been hearing talks about staging areas in the UCSO which he hoped would mean most of the personnel here would be leaving in the next few days. The subterranean hangars were packed with aircraft and many soldiers and marines were staying in tents at the training areas of post. But even with all the issues with overcrowding, it's still better than being stuck in a metal box at sea like the navy. As the sun was beginning to set he sat at the empty TARMAC thinking to himself it's a long way from Maasden. Tonight Emmerich was going to wait for midnight chow at the DFAC at the end of the runway. Around this time the naval officers and senior enlisted will be there and they always complain about eating with lower enlisted and enlisted and officers eating at the same place. It was too much of a headache for him to deal with when trying to eat so he usually waited for the naval officers to leave which they rarely ate at midnight.

When Emmerich looked up at the crimson sky he saw the trails of an Arcadian fighter soaring through the skies, it must be a part of the newly authorized missions for scouting operations and security for Arcadian forces in staging operations. His train of thought was interrupted with an alarm on his watch going off, and he checked the time, and it was almost 9 pm. It was about time to leave the TARMAC since security on base has been elevated with the number of troops here.

Entropia, Oceania
Supreme Councillor Rebecca Brighton

The Supreme Councillor couldn't help but stare at the photos of the artificial islands on the table in front of her, showing both the 'before' pictures from the 1980s along with the slightly more recent photos showing the unfinished islands after construction had been abandoned, alongside recent ones showing the current state of construction. The change was enormous; the islands had gone from submerged, barely visible shapes in the water to large islands with buildings, ports and, on the largest island, airfields on them. The islands, which numbered 4 in total, had been part of a project in the last century to act as a first line of defense against a hypothetical invasion of Oceania from the southeast. Construction of the island foundations had been completed knowledge of the project became public, resulting in construction being halted and the project being shelved after uproar over environmental concerns and a change in government. However, over the years the islands had been worked on to preserve the foundation and repair any erosion, should they need to be used in the future.

And now, that use had come. With Oceania's promise to host the remnants of the Rudon military, a location was need to dock their ships, land their planes, and house their personnel. Despite the low risk of the fungus arriving undetected through the Rudon personnel, there had still been a public pushback over housing them anywhere near Oceania's population centers, so the Army's Engineering Corps had been deployed to locate a suitable uninhabited area to temporarily settle the Rudons. It had been determined that the least time-consuming option was to expand and build on the artificial islands. And so work had begun on port infrastructure, barracks, and recreational facilities, work that would be completed shortly before the Rudon fleet arrived. Supplies would be left on the island when construction was completed, and any additional supplies needed would be brought in via helicopter transport; procedures had been developed to insure that there would be no contact with Oceanic personnel or equipment that was returning to the mainland; instead, once the Rudons arrived supplies would be brought in as underslung loads on the transport helicopters, virtually eliminating any risk of the fungus finding its way back to Oceania. The endeavor was nearly complete, waiting only for the arrival of its residents.

To: The Federation of Arcadian States and Commonwealths
From: Department of Foreign Affairs, United City States of Oceania
PRIORITY & ENCRYPTION: MAXIMUM

The United City States of Oceania has reached a decision regarding Arcadia's ultimatum on September Island. The UCSO will fully support Arcadia in any justified military actions it may undertake, as outlined:

1. Arcadian ground, air and naval forces will be granted full permission to stage in the United City States of Oceania, and will be provided full logistical and technical support.
2. Arcadian military and diplomatic personnel will temporarily be granted full legal immunity in the United City States of Oceania, and will be deported from the UCSO to their home territory to be punished under Arcadian law at Arcadia's full discretion, should any offense be committed.
3. Should Sevevill fail to meet the demands of the ultimatum, the United City States of Oceania will commit ground, air and naval forces to any military conflict in and around September Island.
4. The United City States of Oceania will establish communication and coordination between the Arcadia, the government of September Island, and other coalition partners, including but not limited to the nation of Allanea, should the need for military action arise.

However, full Oceanic support is predicated on several conditions:

1. Following the liberation of September Island, the government of September Island be allowed to return and continue governance, with a joint commission of coalition nations overseeing the re-establishment of the September Island Defense Forces, with all parties involved militarily withdrawing from the island once the SIDF has been re-established.
2. All captured Sevevillian commissioned officers or the Sevevillain equivalent be extradited to the UCSO to await trial by a coalition joint military tribunal on charges of war crimes in September Island and the United City States of Oceania.

We await your reply.

Official Statement From The Imperial Congress

To: Officers in the USCO/SI combat zone
Encryption: High
Today the Imperial Congress has stated that is is not afraid of threats issued by the Arcadians. While the Empire does not see reason to go to war with the Arcadians over the September Islands, We have no intentions of deserting the September Islands until fighting in the United City States of Oceania is fully drawn to a close, When it will be peacefully returned to the Kackamoo Pact.

The Imperial Congress also sees Arcadias threats as minimal, We dont see any reasonable outcome for the Arcadians in fighting a war with Sevevill over the September Islands. Continue to secure and re-build the September Islands, We will dispatch some re-enforcements by ship due to arrive in aprox a week.

Continue your missions and God-Speed Gentelmen.
Imperial Congress Chancellor Mark Waldrop

Official Statement From The Imperial Congress

To: Government of Arcadia
Encryption: None

The Imperial Congress refuses to accept your threats. September Island is currently a stratigic sight in our current conflict with the USCO, While we are willing to return it after the conflict has subsided to its rightful owners, The KP. We refuse to give in to your empty threats in a weak attempt to intimidate us.

As should be mutually understood war between our nations would most likely drag the entire region into a long and gruesome conflict involving the entirety of Markion and her Allies, While we urge you to consider this know Sevevill is understandably ready for any conflict of the sort.

Go [Redacted] Yourselves,
Imperial Congress Chancellor Mark Waldrop

Official Statement From The Imperial Congress

To: Leaders of the KP

The Imperial Congress would like to appoligize on behalf of our entire empire for the war brought on to you and your allies in the September Islands Conflict. The Imperial Congress is planning on returning control of the September Islands back to the KP after the conflict in the USCO has drawn to a close,

In exchange for this current return the Empire has taken the liberty to attempt to re-construct roads and buildings for use by the citizens during and after our time occupying the islands, With this we are also willing to gift the KP 100 brand new SG-80 fighters and some Armoured troop transport trucks to help continue your efforts in helping people across Markion. We are also going to donate 10 SG-17 troop transport/cargo planes for your humanitarian efforts across Markion

We once more appologize for the actions that had to be taken during this current conflict,

The Imperial Air Force continues efforts to better their Orbatal Weapon Delivery System or OWDS
Written by Jim Daniels,

Today the IAF has launched five new satilites into Orbit above Markion, Mostly assembled on imperial moon colonies, are all part of a new web of space weaponry proposed by the Imperial government. OWDS will provide Imperial troops with better air support over multiple diffrent combat sites without causing the radiation produced by the older ORBAT model which causes much more damage over a greater area. OWDS on the other hand launces much smaller projectiles without a large warhead. Meaning that instead of sending hundreds of bombers or any planes for that reason Imperial soldiers stationed in mainland Sevevill have the capability of leveling things like airfields before Imperial troops are even close. Testing of OWDS will begin next week with some test shots on a no-longer used airfield located in the LFN.

Grand Admiral Kyela Logoch

Having already left the island's previously national waters in order to escape radiation and Myäwe spores, the new Grand Admiral was mostly speechless and simply gave the order to move east further into international waters to a rallying point she'd set up earlier that day. There was nowhere to go but to link up with the rest of the Rudon patrols from Rudony and submarines that dotted Markion. The KP had already reached out to Kyela, Ameria was closest to Rudony so they were very much the first responders in this crisis. They asked her for cooperation, they asked for permissions, it didn't matter to her, they could do what they liked with the festering corpse that was now her nation, her islands, that she promised would never be taken. Although they were never taken, they most certainly lost.

The Kamooko Pact would be worked with fully, but no real help was offered by the admiral, merely a political show that they were technically working together, he had no time to deal with the bureaucracy that was the Pact unless they had something substantial to give them. Now was not the time to sulk, much like their new friends were doing, it was the time to act. With some small amount of hesitation, Kyela made an announcement that a tour would commence, a tour of the nations that accepted Rudon refugees. They would consolidate their people and go from there. Of course, she couldn't just tour all of Markion as it would take too long, she instead sent out a few small groups of vessels to pick up the refugees while she attended to a new offer from Oceania, of all places.

Breaking News: Supreme Councillor Rebecca Brighton announced, in a press conference earlier today, that the United City States of Oceania is opening its doors to military forces of the nation of Rudony, following the tragic destruction of the collapsed nation's last remaining island. In a statement, the Supreme Councillor noted that she had reached out to the Grand Admiral on the offer, and that military engineers from the 3rd Army had been deployed to the north of the country to begin work on a large quarantine facility for the expected arrivals. More on this story as it develops.

It was an interesting offer, Kyela would be a madwoman to refuse. Although, the young Admiral who was only 34 had her suspicions. The UCSO was involved or at least about to be involved in a conflict with Sevevill for September Island, who had recently joined and then left KP over the defence of their Island. The UCSO was no better than Arcadia in Kyela's eyes, no better than Sevevill. All used smaller nations to build an empire, all used them to fight their wars. If Kyela accepted this 'most gracious' gift, she may be roped into a conflict she did not want to fight in the first place, all the Empress was doing was posturing and attempting to show strength, but Sevevill would have never have bombed Rudony and released the plague if the Empress had not been overstepping and plunging the country into a war during an endemic.

Good riddence, she thought to herself, building up anger and frustration. She breathed and thought for a while about the future of her country and how she was now going to lead it. With the entire royal family dead, and none of the nobility seemingly escaping, a new republic could be set up. It would have to be a dictatorship for a time in order to secure peace and security for the new nation, but hopefully, it would lead to a new kind of Rudon nation, not bound by traditions and the isles... Kyela came out of her daydream and then proceeded to work with her board of captains to come up with a response.

We are thankful for your offer of safe harbour near your shores. We would take full advantage of your hospitality, however we have many concerns and we would like you to address before we agree to anything. If we are to accept these terms we must come to a signed agreement that the UCSO is giving these islands with no strings attached and we demand the following:

- Recognise that Rudony is a sovereign nation and that these islands and the waters surrounding it will be both sovereign land and waters that must not be violated under any circumstances unless and future deal was signed.
- Promise that the remnants of the Rudon military will not be forced into any armed conflict or otherwise with enemies of the UCSO or September Island.
- Assure that the supply lines to the new Rudon nation will not be cut for political or any other reasons.

Once these three demands are met and fixed in place we would like to have a conference concerning the islands and the full details of this potential deal.

With blessings,

Grand Admiral Kyela Logoch

The United City States of Oceania accepts all three conditions. We stand by the Rudon people in their time of need. However, be advised that to date facilities have only been established for the 8,000 or so personnel in the Rudon Armed Forces, and that the islands have a theoretical maximum capacity of 2 million, should additional facilities be built.

We look forward to a potential summit at a location of your choosing.

The Supreme Councillor watched as the supplies were unloaded from the Allanean military transport plane and loaded onto the trucks. This batch was additional food aid for the September Islander refugee camp that had been built near the city. The Allanean aid had been a godsend, relieving much of the burden on the Oceanic government to support the hundreds of thousands of refuges who had fled across the September Strait after Sevevill had invaded. The Allaneans had also been a huge help in the clean-up of the Oceanic countryside, helping to decontaminate much of the Oceanic agricultural base following Sevevill's chemical warfare campaign.

However, there was another, more clandestine operation at play here. The Allaneans weren't just bringing in humanitarian aid; they were also bringing in military equipment and personnel. Unmarked transport planes from Arcadia had begun arriving as well, filled with more equipment and troops, all without the knowledge of the general public. The effort to liberate September Island was well underway.

Arcadian Forces Staging in Oceania

Today with authorization from the UCSO's government forces staging in the Empire of Urlias have begun arriving in the UCSO for further staging in several camps in bases in preparation for the possible conflict with the Empire of Sevevill. The main Arcadian base is a retrofitted civilian airport that has been left unused for the past year. The UCSO has now become the primary staging ground for Arcadian forces for the region. The Task Force commander General Oesau has permitted forces in the country to leave post within the limits of their field commanders' curfews and permitted days. 4 Brigades are expected to arrive within the country with two more on the way with another moving into the Empire of Urlias.

JVP To sign the Kamooko Accords

Postby The JVP » Fri Jun 19, 2020 3:45 pm

Kamooko, Placeoderms

Katrin waited for Admiral Son, down in the hotel lobby. She wore the standard
Image
formal uniform of her order, hat on a table, as listened to something on her phone. She had been in Placeoderm for some time, and had really picked up on some of the culture. Taking her time to go find local places to eat, and spending time with her tutor on learning the Markion Common, Markish. In a way close to how one would speak the Aelian common, but with different writing symbols, and inflections. Still, she picked up on it fast.

"Knight Katrin" Came a strong, baritone voice from behind her. She turned and looked at Admiral Son.

"Knight Second Class Son." She said, getting up from her seat and giving a slight bow.

Son let out a small sigh, and motioned for her straighten up, as he looked around at the people. Most likely thinking he was some kind of royalty with his Formal
Image
Order dress uniform.

"None of that here, Katrin." He said, as focused back on to her. "We have a job to do he said, beginning to walk to the door. "Oh. I almost forgot." He pulled out a box, and handed it to her. "From the Queen. She said you have done a good job here."

Katrin, held the box, and fumbled as she opened it. "A gift from the Queen." Said said, as she looked down at the contents of the box. "Wait... These are?"

Son smiled. "Yes, Sister of the second order. This is a promotion." He helped her pin the pips to her collar. "Orders will be in later. You will talk the role as the Empires rep to the Kamooko Pact. You'll fall under my command as the Empires rep to the Markion Region. We are of equal rank, but i'll still be the head of this mission here." He looked her over. "You've grown a lot from the small mouse like staff member on my carrier. i'm proud of you." He said, bracing himself as Katrin jumped at him and wrapped him in a hug.

"Thank you Admiral." She said. Pushing away.

"Very good." He said. "The car should be out front. The Gifts for the other reps have already been loaded in."

the two walked out of the lobby, and into the awaiting car. A nice sleek design, the had Son wanting to get one in grey.

The drive to the palace was quick, and the two talked over the meeting. They would meet the other reps, talk some trade, hand out documents on the Empire, and then sign the accords. Seemed simple, but Son know these things could be a handful.

Still, when the car pulled up to the Turtleback palace, the two got out, grabbed their bags, and walked in.

Oceania, Operation Undying Light

Operation Undying Light was beginning to take shape, and, so far, it was going exceptionally well. Grand Admiral McConaughey's first priority was the water. Mobile water filtering stations, packed in familiar, dark-green shipping container bodies, had been airlifted to Oceania's rivers. There they were already beginning to pump, working at a steady hum. They drank in water contaminated with the chemical runoff of damaged factories and the remains of Sevevillean chemical weapons, and from them flowed forth drinkable river water – good enough for you to take a dip in if you wanted to go for a swim, or for you to water your plants.

On the ground, the Grand Admiral's command now included several companies of men with bulldozers and combat tractors – which in this case were moved to a civilian purpose, removing layers of poisoned topsoil, to be carried, by truck, to storage sites as chosen by Oceania's government.

Combat engineers were working with the civilian government to install mobile nuclear reactors where power plants have been wrecked by the bombings, or effect repairs where repairs were possible. Soon enough, lights would begin to come back across the nation.

Elsewhere, small teams of engineers and scientists opened several offices of the Greenleaf Imperial Agency – Greater Prussia's environmental recovery organization. It would help Oceania's beleaguered farmers in another way, by handing out technology advice and grants towards to those who would adopt new methods of farming that were less dependent on the polluted soil – farming in towers, aquaculture both seaside and landside, and underground mushroom farms.

Though the immediate food shortages were mostly resolved, a stream of food and medication continued to flow, by ships, by conventional planes, by nuclear-powered cargo aircraft of monstrous wingspan. Doctors, nutritionists, nurses and soldiers made for the refugee camps and for the few parts of Oceania where hunger was still a holdout, to aid those who needed aid most urgently, as well as those who were no longer hungry, but on whose health the cold icy fingers of starvation had left their mark.

And, hidden among the ebb and flow of humanitarian shipments were also other shipments, packed away in containers just like those as the food, medication, or water treatment equipment. More, soldiers were beginning to filter in, flight by flight. Officially, they were a division of Airborne Infantry, here to assist with the aid operation and prevent lapses in security.

Unofficially, the Allaneans were also bringing in self-propelled artillery and rocket launches – in quality far from that which would be consistent with a single Airborne Infantry Division. These, and their crews, were also here with the advice and consent of the Oceanian government – but their precise purpose would remain, so far, a secret.

OOC: What's being brought in is lots of food and assistance supplies, several thousand soldiers with BMP-3s, about 162 Coalition-SV guns and 52 of these. This is by use of the same nuclear-powered aircraft as used by various participants of the RP prior.

Kassau, Phoenxia

JVP Business owners, having already made a trip to the Phoenxia, have drawn up plans to invest heavily in the Phoenxia economy, and tech sector. Companies, like PenguMotor's and Rockets, Samsung, LG Electronics, Pengu tech, and many others, have began working with the Phoenxia leadership, to start breaking ground on new HQ's. Along with hiring those in the Phoenxia labor pool, to build these HQ's and offices.

Investment into the Phoenxia ports, to allow for Regional Cargo ships, have have been in talks, along with an upgrade to the Phoenxia International Airport.

Part of the JVP investment terms between Phoenxia, and the JVP, is working on their Human rights matters, mainly those focused on women, by allowing more rights toward them.

Like wise in Žeknijans. JVP politicians, have been at work, on getting a deal done, that would see invest into their state, along with boards for their people.

Julia sometimes hated her job, and this was one of those times. “I do wish mother would stop mentioning my name at her parties.” Julia or “Jules,” as she liked to be known, was now the Special Envoy to The Kamooko Pact. How that had happened, she didn’t yet know. Though she suspected her mother’s socializing with governmental officials and elites had something to do with it.

While she had wanted to decline, she didn’t want to embarrass her mother or her employer The Milinow Orez Zitzekov Group. They would no doubt be using the prestige of this assignment to further their image. So, she had accepted this assignment under protest, and set off for Kamooko, Placeoderms.

Her journey, despite being mostly uneventful, did display in its entirety the effects of recent world events. The usual civilian security theatre at the airport had disappeared. In its place were troops and heavily armed police. While walking to her flight, she had seen the reason why the air force had appropriated part of the airport as a result of the war and had not given it back. She had counted several fighters and seen some camouflaged anti-aircraft defenses in the distance.

During her wait to board, she had begun to pass the time by watching the news in the terminal. Amongst the war news and the ceasefire, a story had broken that there was a disease outbreak in the port city of Ozryn that had the government paying attention.

“That’s somewhat concerning” she hoped that it wasn’t too severe and that the government had it under control.

Finally, the call to board came, and Jules had leaped up at the announcement. She could finally actually make some progress toward her destination. After boarding and taking her seat, it seemed that very few people would be joining her. She thought that the waiting area had seemed empty and quiet. “I guess few people are traveling these days” This she knew was obvious, what with the war and the reserve call ups.

However, Jules hoped that she would be leaving all this behind as soon as she was airborne. Although this proved to be futile, though, as a pair of fighters had bumped her flight’s takeoff position, this proved only to be a short delay as they roared into the sky on full afterburner.

Jules let out a small smile as the noise faded; she had wanted to fly once. But it had not been destined to be, maybe in another life. She wished it had turned out differently, but the past was the past, and she had to focus on the present and the mission that came with it. She looked forward to seeing Kamooko, however, for it had been a while since she had traveled abroad.

The rest of her flight to Kamooko would be uneventful, but once she arrived, the real “fun” of this assignment would begin, for she had to dress formally, something that she disliked. She didn’t hate wearing formal outfits, per se, but she did, however, detest the heels that so often came with them. She much preferred her boots or even regular shoes to these stupid lady stilts.

But Jules knew one thing for sure; she looked damned good. Even with her stupid ass heels. Dress up, though, had to come a close, for she had decided it was time to get to work. “Who knows, maybe they will even let me wear my normal uniform.” letting out a small chuckle at the thought.

As she moved to leave, her mind began to wander; she had been putting it off. But not this time, so finally she let her mind wander. Jules hoped this stay of yet unknown length in Kamooko wouldn’t dull her skills too much. She liked to keep her edge sharp, so she usually trained religiously, but with her new position and new environment, Jules wasn’t sure if she could keep up.

She could at least maintain her martial arts skills if she could find someone to spar. However, for the moment practicing her shooting was out of the question, at least until she got back to Ameria.

“What a shame, I was just starting to improve my grouping.”

Now that her training schedule was up in the air, she wondered how Amelia, her sister, was doing. Mother seemed to be trying to set up Amelia to be her successor eventually. But first, she needed to know how to fight, and Freya had worked her usual magic—managing to get an army commando to be her martial arts instructor. Jules still wondered how mother had managed that coup.

“What was that woman’s name again, something Kerrigan?” Jules made a mental note to ask the next time she spoke to her sister.

As she walked out of her hotel, she found a car waiting. Someone was aware of her arrival. The ride to the palace was short and swift, which was a welcome change of pace for Jules. As they pulled up, she had a chance to take in the sight of the Turtleback palace, where she would be meeting the other delegates.

After exiting the car, she paused for a moment to admire the palace. She even went as far as to push down her sunglasses so she could get an unfiltered view. The Turtleback palace did not appear very impressive from the outside. However, Jules had heard that the inside was spectacular, with exquisite glass chandeliers that adorned its high ceilings and the beautiful carvings that graced its walls. As Jules climbed the steps, she caught sight of some words etched into the outer façade of the palace.

Armour Is Good, hmm must be a motto.”

Phoenxia

A on and off again correspondence between a mix of both corporate and political entities in both Rhamos and the JVP had produced a marked change in policy for both countries. In regards to Markion, both countries would for once cooperate and operate in concert to leverage their economic soft power in an attempt to bring about meaningful change in failing state of Phoenxia. Unlike the JVP however, Rhamos intended to utilize a mix of lessons learned from mostly Chinese efforts in building their silk road project with a dash of Russian operations in the middle east. To ensure full cooperation from the Phoenxians in this endeavor, the whole spectrum of their politics and economics would be subtly influenced to bring them to the light.

First and most importantly would be the Phoenxian military, fresh from what was largely viewed a string of defeats in otherwise failed counter terrorism campaign. A lucrative deal had been reached to supply their ground forces with M3A1 Serval IFV's along with parts, trainers, maintenance, and a slew of other services that would be required to keep the vehicles operational and a functional part of their military. Obviously of course these vehicles were rather pricey and the Phoenxians were offered generous loan terms from Rhamosian banks in order to afford such purchases. In order to sweeten the deal even further Rhamosian counter terror specialist, advisors, and other specialized services were offered to the Phoenxian military in order to help them bring their military up to spec.

Private security firms have also begun moving branch offices into the Phoenxian country providing jobs to conscripts who have suddenly found themselves without jobs after years of war. The PMC UNDC is chief among these, though they focused more on offering the services of Rhamosian nationals in their employ in order to protect Rhamosian interest in the country as well as providing their services to those Phoenxian officials who have shown favor to Rhamosian enterprises.

Construction firms have begun moving into the country in order to construct the great Drejveskan Highway along with any other major construction projects that Phoenxia wish to use them for. Lines of credit being offered to Phoenxia with small things such as mines and ports and other such infrastructure of equal value being asked as collateral in return. These companies focus on hiring local Phoenxians in order to help boast the local economies and providing a steady job source alternative for the demobilizing Phenxian military.

Lobbying groups have been formed which generously offer funds to those politicians which see eye to eye with Rhamos's vision for the nation and especially those with pro-monarchist views. The Phoenxian Royal family has been invited to visit the Rhamosian Crown Colony of Cherise in order to better foster relations between the noble bloodlines of both countries.

Meanwhile the same tactics are being applied to the semi-nation state tribal areas that separate the two countries in the Drejveskian interior, land and mining rights were being acquired at a feverish pace in order to fund this rapid economic expansion while settlers have begun moving beyond the colonies boarders in order to seek their fortunes in these new opportunities to a mixed reception from the natives.

King Artur II of Phoenixia proudly accepts the invite so graciously given by the Kingdom of Rhamos. In the name of the republic however, Jans Maleksi spoke in the senate today.

"The people of Phoenixia are excited with new business offers and economic opportunity, I am too. However, we must still remain vigilant to foreign powers debt trapping our great nation. Economic stimulation is great until you have to pay it forward. In the end, I am still open to this marvelous diplomatic opportunity, and I would like to take this moment to invite leaders from both Rhamos and the JVP to meet with me or the King."

On another note, the Eteržki-Žeperi stock fell ~3000 points as investor confidence falls with extremely short notice introduction of Pengu motors to the market.

The Imperial Markion Company announced that they have approved the export of Tyrman luxurious items such as precious metals, alcohols and other Tyrman delicacies. As the ships of Tyrman goods reached Markionian Tyria, the last ship that contained goods from Markion has left Markionian Tyria. The Imperial Markion Company has been secretly shifting their model so they can be more appealing to the Markionian nations before something will tarnished the companies reputation

Greater Drejveskan Union

Office of Foreign Affairs

Encryption: low
To: Nations of the MU
From: Foreign Minister, Grigorije Marinko

Prestigous members of the Markion Union, The Greater Drejveskan Union would like to announce the passing of the GDU Accords. It should be noted that the GDU Accords could not have been completed without using the Gothernburg Accords as a building box. The purpose of the GDU Accords is to improve upon the original document and streamline the document. Nonetheless, some items have been removed and other items have been added. One of the items added pertained to medical personnel, "Any humanitarian personnel including military medical staff personnel of the unit or establishment are armed, and that they use the arms in their own defense, or in that of the wounded and sick in their charge." The GDU government found it odd that humanitarian personnel could not protect themselves. This is only one of the few improvements put into the GDU Accords. More info regarding the GDU Accords can be found by contacting the Foreign Affairs Department.

Thank You,
Grigorije Marinko

United City States of Oceania wrote:

Officials within the Kamooko Pact have expressed disappointment at the government of September Island. In a press conference, the Right Honourable Charlotte Fried protested that the Kamooko Pact was doing everything in its power to secure the return of September Island to President Rubio's government, and had been in talks with Sevevill ever since their capture of the island. To simply walk out of the Kamooko Pact now, she argued, is an insult to all the blood and treasure spent by Kamooko to protect their nation. This is not how partners in a mutual alliance are supposed to act.

On the grounds of the Kamooko Pact headquarters, Turtleback Palace, and dozens of other locations across the alliance, people watched on with heavy hearts as the September Tricolour was lowered from its position, formally bidding adieu to her once proud allies.

Delvin Solymós, Literal Markion Union Backroom, Avibéliard, Kingdom of Alluscia:

A slammed fist signalled Ambassador Solymós' wits were at an end. "I don't care! You have promised the island, now give me a timeline!"

The man sitting across from him was silent, sitting composed as the echo of vibrating metal subsided.

"Soon, Ambassador. Believe me when I say that waiting for a bit will benefit us all in the long run."
