Because then they can REALLY live out the punishment, because you can't punish someone for being better than you and they don't want to punish themselves for being better. We might even connect a fascist obsession with cleanliness and order with a Freudian anality. They are anally retentive in terms of racial hygiene and anally expulsive in terms of their idea of public politics.

The rest of fascist politics are just things that will help them stay in power. There's not much true ideology there. They co-opt whatever they need to ensure they win and they can carry out their program.

Well first off I don't think that's necessarily true, I don't post walls-of-texts or essays here because I don't do well in long-form prose. Particularly for non-fiction topics like arguing detailed politics (besides I'm not as well-read as the posters who do make such posts). They're probably shorter than average.

I don't know how much content, they lack, though. This recent spat? Sure, void of content. The other hundred+ posts in this thread? Depends. Some are with the flow of conversation and others give off a degree of effort in pure content and idea.

well, Zizek is a (schniff) funny guy. of course he's a marxist, but he goes against the grain a few ways. he could definitely be construed as a post marxist. I mean it's well known that the decolonization fellas - the Fannonists basically - really hate him, and related to that is his very outspoken on his critique of identity politics, which has wormed its way into popular marxism.

on your second part, I think a lot the reasoning the political enemy was viewed as something that needed to be crushed as opposed to colonized is because the conventional fascist threads - broadly liberalism, but specifically Jews - is because they actually lived in the western countries and had politically and financially active roles. brown savage living in Botswana or the great planes does not serve in parliament, control the treasury, etc. so the fascist would argue a very different kind of solution, however barbaric, is necessitated for a success class collaborationist nation.
