Dragon Cards and Collectors

Since rejoining NationStates, I've started my quest for more dragon-themed cards at first as a gift for a friend, but now as something much bigger. As of writing, the collection has grown to 260+ cards and is noted by Giovanniland's Collection Collection V2 forum post as the largest collection of dragon cards. It's a great start!

But as I hunt for cards I realize it's rather lonely on the dragon front. I know of only 10 or so collectors of dragon cards, and I only know of a few hundred out there compared to what could be out there in the hundreds of thousands of cards. Even so, that excludes the Welsh, Bhutan, and Malta flags found on NS. (I only wish for one copy of each, though creative variations on these are welcome.)

So I want to make a dispatch for dragon cards and dragon collectors, and I'll need your help to make this!

Are you an NS Dragon Card Collector?

If you're either interested in collecting NS dragon cards or are a collector, please respond to this forum post about it! I want to compile a public dispatch/factbook on all the players who are collecting or are collecting dragon cards. When other dragon collectors are curious, they can check the dispatch and find other dragon collectors. I'll even make a ranked list with a count of dragon cards so dragon collectors can see where they stand (if people want of course)!

If you want to participate, send me a telegram or mention it on this forum post. I'll do my best to release and then update the dispatch with dragon card collectors!

Do you know/have dragon cards?

I'm always looking for more cards to purchase! If you find a dragon card not located within The Dragons of NS collection send me a telegram or a forum post to let me know about it. I'm currently paying 0.05 for every common card of a dragon I don't have, and 0.10 for every common card of the same. Rares, Super Rares, Epics, and Legendaries I'll have to see case by case - money is tight as I've spent most of it on the current collection.

If you wish to gift dragon cards please give them to my oldest nation of Skymoot! My main nation, Rikanhimel, is already at capacity for dragon cards compared to card storage, but Skymoot is open for more donations! It will eventually be the home of the dragon cards, once renovations are complete!

If you have questions or concerns too I am happy to hear and reply to them! Let me know what you think, and hopefully, we can make the largest collection of dragon cards in NationStates together! Good idea! It's not that easy to find dragon cards by myself and some of my cards are donations from people in the region I'm in who knows I'm collecting Dragon cards because they saw my collection.

This is all great news! I'm glad the collection is helping you out as well. Having more dragon card collections on the case means we can all build larger collections. I've actually watched your collection about a week ago, and seeing it grow so much in so little time shows commitment! I admire that!

When I make the dispatch I'll make sure you're the first to know about it. I think NS would let nations know if they're mentioned in a submission too, but just in case I would totally let you know about it too! I'll work hard on finding other dragon card collectors (hopefully this forum helps to find more!) and I'll keep you updated on the mini-project. Good luck to you and your mighty dragon riders!

Also for you Temujin and for the people who see this forum: I'm also slowly building up to 100 more card farming puppets for the cause. 100 Dragon-themed nations will help to card farm for more cards once a week, and they're located in this region: skymoot_international_dragonology_museum The hope is when S3 prints they'll be 100 more dragons for dragon fans to collect! That and more farmers to find more dragon cards are always welcome!

It's alright to post trading cards I don't have. I hope this forum post helps everyone who wants to collect dragon cards - and hopefully helps far more than just myself! You found a great card by the way! If you find more dragon cards feel free to share. I think it'll help everyone who wants to collect them!

As an update on that dispatch too; I have a plan with how to make it. I'm rough drafting it now so by Friday night it should be ready to go. For now I'm just trying to get statistic ideas for the dispatch, and then I'll make something in Canva so it looks like a flyer rather than text on a screen. :lol2:

I'll keep other dragon card collectors updated on the progress! I'm looking forward to it!

I'm going to continue work on a list dispatch today and I'll be unveiling it soon! So it's pretty neat now, but I hope it's something worthwhile for everyone in time. I'm glad to see you like the idea!

You do also have a great dragon card collection!

If you want you can explore my own collection to see if there's any you want in yours. I've found about 10 dragon card collectors so far, so when the list and dispatch is complete there'll be 10 collections to sample from.

If you or anyone else have ideas for dragon cards and collecting too I'm always open to them. I hope this list dispatch I'm working on will be just the start!

The Welsh flags I'll eventually have in its own collection. For now, they're in the same collection, but eventually, I'll make a separate collection for them. I still need to raise money for all these cards as my bidding power isn't even enough for 0.10 as I write this. But once I raise the money I'll be sure to purchase it! Oh my gosh so many replies and posts! Thank you all for posting! Work has been busy and I only have time for this one post for now, but I'm impressed so much by all of this!

Each of the cards linked is a card I don't own yet but I will. I'll farm for the money and then buy them, and soon they'll be in the collection. Thank you all again so much! I hope this forum is helping other dragon collectors too!

I don't think I have actually! Your friend has a lovely flag and it's even better that it has lore behind it. I'll see if I can find it, and when I have the cash to spend I can pay for it.
