Field Marshal Sir Bernard Montgomery was in a meeting with Admiral Bruce Fraser, Second Sea Lord Admiral Sir Cecil Halliday Jepson Harcourt, Third Sea Lord Admiral Sir Charles Saumarez Daniel, Marshal of the Royal Air Force Arthur Tedder, head of RAF Fighter Command Air Chief Marshal Sir William Elliot, head of RAF Bomber Command Sir Arthur Harris, head of RAF Transport Command Air Marshal Sir Aubrey Beauclerk Ellwood, commander of the British I Field Corps Field Marshal Claude Auchinleck, head of the Union Defense Force General Sir Hesperus Andrias van Ryneveld and Chief of the Army of South Africa Lieutenant General Christiaan Ludolph de Wet du Toit. They were ordered by King George VI and Prime Minister Jan Smuts to come up with a long-term plan for the reoccupation of the African portions of the British Empire and after that, the return to the British Isles.

Montgomery: "Alrighty then people, we need to put our collective minds together, what do we got at our disposal in terms of ground troops, Auchinleck?"

Auchinleck: "Well, sir, we have the remnants of the British I Corps that escaped from the Disaster of London and the fall of the British Isles, along with the Union Defense Forces of the Union of South Africa. In total, that leads the remaining of the British Army to around 100,000 troops, divided across the Union of South Africa, Namibia, and the Military Governorate of Tanzania. We still have a few tanks, including 30 of our advanced Centurion Main Battle Tanks. So it's not like we still don't have military power. we are just far limited in our overall capabilities."

Montgomery: "Well, it could have been worse, Fraser, how is the Royal Navy doing?"

Fraser: "After retaining a count of the remaining vessels of the fleet, we still have one of the most powerful fleets in the world. easily the strongest on the African Continent, but that's not saying much. 3 fleet carriers, 2 light carriers, 4 battleships, 8 heavy cruisers, 15 light cruisers, and 76 destroyers in the surface fleet alone. The Royal Navy Submarine Service has 46 total submarines, with 26 Undine-class submarines, 11 Vampire-class submarines, and 9 Amphion-class submarines. We have enough to contest most of the other naval powers, but not the North American Technate and the Empire of Japan. It should still be more than enough to secure British dominance of Africa."

Montgomery: "That is excellent news, Admiral. But, what about the Fleet Air Arm?"

Fraser: "Well, for this, I will also have to bring in Sir Elliot, as the King has ordered the Fleet Air Arm and RAF Fighter Command to work on a joint project. In total, the Fleet Air Arm consists of 64 Fairly Firefly Mk 4 fighters, 72 Fairly Spearfish Dive Bombers, and and 62 Fairly Barracuda Mk III Torpedo Bombers. Reconnaissance and Anti-Submarine Duty is left to RAF Bomber Command. Anyway, back to the joint project between the Fleet Air Arm and Fighter Command, the King has ordered us to develop a carrier-borne fighter based on the De Havilland Vampire Jet fighters. We successfully landed a Vampire on HMS Ocean in 1945, along with a successful take-off. So, the Fleet Air Arm and RAF Fighter Command have begun the Venom Project, meant to produce a jet fighter to be launched from carriers, along with the refit of the fleet carrier Illustrious to have a angled flight deck, new radar systems, and a enlarged hangar capacity, while keeping it's armored flight deck."

Montgomery: "Excellent news, Sir Tedder, how is the RAF looking?"

Tedder: "Well, it could be worse. We have a total of 942 aircraft, divided between RAF Fighter Command, RAF Bomber Command, and RAF Transport Command. We have a total of 444 fighters, including 200 De Havilland Vampire jet fighters, with the remainder being variants of the Hawker Hurricane fighter plane. RAF Bomber Command is much more limited, with 50 Avro Lancaster Heavy Bombers, 200 Bristol Blenheim Light Bomber/Reconnaissance Plane, and 167 Bristol Beaufort Reconnaissance/Torpedo Bombers. RAF Transport Command has 81 different transport planes, but we won't dive into there."

Montgomery: "Alright, I have a plan. We are gonna have to divide and conquer. Admiral Fraser will send his carrier battle fleet to escort a landing group to Nigeria, in order to secure the oil fields. This landing force will consist of 35,000 troops and will have to secure Nigeria as fast as possible. Before the mission, the Fleet Air Arm will launch reconnaissance missions from Implacable and Indefatigable in order to assess the situation, find pro-British groups, and combine them to take control of the country. Field Marshal Auchinleck will lead a force of 25,000 into Kenya, but before they march in, a reconnaissance mission will be undertaken to assess the situation across the country. If there is a government presence, then Auchinleck will establish contact and keep them as a buffer state between the Empire and Egypt. If there is no government presence, then Auchinleck will secure Nairobi and establish a pro-British government and become Governor-General of Kenya. If resistance is too much, they will retreat back into Tanzania. Next, with 20,000 men, General du Toit will march from Northeastern Namibia into Northern Rhodesia, and solidify control back into the hands of the crown. Once again, a reconnaissance mission will precede the invasion of Rhodesia, in order to learn the state of the territory. Du Toit will have full support of RAF Bomber Command besides Auchinleck's reconnaissance support, providing light air support wherever needed. Meanwhile, RAF Fighter Command will be provided to Auchinleck's push into Kenya."

Fraser: "What is the operation called, Montgomery?"

Montgomery: "Operation Golden Redemption. Now, get your forces moving. I want all forces moving into each territory by the end of January, and all territories secured by the end of March. That is all, dismissed!"

Welcome back, everyone! Yes, we are back once more this week, and I have received letters upon letters from you. One included how I said "anyway" a lot last time. I honestly don't know what happened, so pretend I was busy. I'm currently recording in the airport waiting for my flight. But enough about me, for this is A Lost Oracle week in review!

First of, the president of China has just contacted a Japanese shipping company to order 50 submarines to be built for the Chinese nation. It will cost 50 million Yuans, though people are not sure when it will be constructed. He also got his wish from last week- more autonomy from Japan! They decided that from now on, every member of the Sphere will be allowed to determine their own policies as long as they are still united by a hatred of communism and technocracy. This follows last weeks pattern, where the Emperor decided to not be a horrible person for once! I'm actually starting to think that a rock did hit his head! Also, Japan is constructing an alarmingly large number of planes, and starting to trade with other countries for uranium and plutonium for some reason.

In other news, Australia decided to befriend Argentina! Both nations, which are democracies, have made an alliance! Whether this spells a new side in the cold war is unclear. They also claimed Antarctica as well. Well, that's sad. I was hoping they would be weird. But hey, they're still killing the emus and trying to revive the bird.

On the other side of the world, the USSR is building factories and infrastructure. They also decided to innovate their military. Maybe that will help their Mongolian allies, who started an offensive against Menjiang due to them being at war since 1947.

Anyway, the British have decided to continue reclaiming their territories. Landing in Kenya, they encountred no resistance, and saw complete anarchy. They are still considering a governor-general. But when they landed in Nigeria, they were in for a shock! As it turns out, there is a large five-way civil war for France there between Republicans, Legitemists, Orleanists, Bonapartists, and Nationalists! The cost was clear however, so they took part of it over. Still, this shows that Africa is weird, and more can be found!

In a big surprise to the world, President Carlos Valdez has ask for a declaration of war against Venezuela from Congress today. What was even more surprising is that Congress approved his declaration by a vote of 375-110 with 15 abstaining. When President Valdez was asked for the reason behind the declaration of war, he told reporters that as a fascist nation, Venezuela remained a threat to world. He has ordered the Brazilian Armed Forces to full mobilization in anticipation of the coming war. The President warns other nations to not interfere in this war.

Brazilian Centurian MBTs and Panzer IVs begin firing their machine guns at their targets. Brazilian Air Force BF 109s, FW 190s, Spitfires, and Hurricanes fly overhead loaded with bombs and rockets.

Anyway, the Peronists confirmed the deal to give the German scientists more money, by a large vote! And in other news, they decided to ally with the Australians! Let's see what that alliance looks like! They almost threatened Brazil, but it failed! I think...

In other news. Construction has begun on a shipyard at the south pole. It must be said that when it is finished, it will be able to maintain all Australian naval forces. It will take about a year to be assembled and operational.

SX: Hopefully! However, if we want to keep our land, we may need to allow Tibetan and East Turkish culture remain in their regions.

SX: You don’t need to. All you should know is that we’d be stronger.

SX: Hello, you two. I’d like you to go to Urumqi, and you to Lhasa. Your mission is to improve relations between our countries, and possibly plan a personal Union. However, only plan the latter when you know they will accept. Go!

Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery was working with his top generals to rework the composition of the British Army. At the moment, the British/South African Army consists of mostly ground based units with no heavy maneuver troops. The goal is to reorganize the British Army into a effective fighting force with the limited number of men he has.

Montgomery: "Ok, we need to repurpose men. We need a airborne and a marine division. The best way to accomplish that is by repurposing the British 3rd Infantry Division into the new Royal Marine Division. Under my orders, the research and development teams in the east wing have been ordered to come up with a armored personnel carrier, as we will call it. it will be known as the FV103 Spartan. Armed with one Bren Mk. 3 7.62 mm machine gun, it will be able to transport 4 men not counting the crew. They will be transported to shore by Higgins landing craft, where they will be able to transport the infantry through enemy fire. They won't be available for every unit however. Most will still have to land by the Higgins boats."

Auchinleck: "Well general, you seem to have the Royal Marine Division figured out, but what about the Airborne Division? There are 2 big problems that airborne divisions suffer from, lack of supplies and lack of heavy equipment. Do you have a way to solve that?"

Montgomery: "Well, this will require collaboration between RAF Transport Command and the 6th Airborne Division. We have been forced to use them as a ground force due to lack of transport aircraft. Now, with enough transport planes to carry a full airborne division, and with more transport aircraft coming off the line, we are capable of landing at least 2 brigades per day with equipment. We are working on new gliders to transport light tanks, artillery, and self-propelled guns. All of these units will be apart of the British I Corps, but it will allow for more tactical specialty."

Auchinleck: "Meanwhile, on to more pressing matters, Nigeria. Apparently, there is a 5-way civil war in the country between the French factions. We could use this to our advantage to rally more forces to our side. I suggest we attempt to coerce as many of the factions as possible to join our cause, in order to rally them to our side. There are 5 hostile factions, the Republicans, the Legitemists, the Orleanists, the Bonapartists, and the Nationalists. The easiest factions that we can rally to our cause are the Republicans. The others will more than likely have to be forced out. With the successful conquest of Kenya, my forces are ready to be shipped in for a major campaign against the factions."

Montgomery: "Your forces will be moved to Nigeria via RAF Transport Command and the Royal Navy Transport Fleet. After that, both Auchinleck's and Fraser's forces will push into Nigeria, after attempting to convince the Republicans to side with the British Army and assist our push against the other factions. With a total of 60,000 troops, plus carrier air support from Implacable and Indefatigable and heavy bombers from RAF Bomber Command."

Du Toit: "Sir, I have a thought that I want to put before British High Command, the reoccupation of the Falkland Islands."

Montgomery: "Go on, Lieutenant General Du Toit."

Du Toit: "The Falklands is a strategic base for control of the Southern Atlantic Ocean. We hold the South Georgia and Sandwich Islands, along with the critical position of RAF Ascension Island. With those two bases and our main naval base at HMNB Durban in South Africa, we have the force projection to dominate most of the Southern Atlantic. Most, but not all. Argentina has control of the critical last piece of the puzzle, the Falkland Islands. While the Argentine Fleet isn't that powerful, the Falklands is a major air base which allows parts of the Argentine Air Force to cover their fleet. If we can regain control of the Falklands, British dominance of the South Atlantic will be uncontested. If we can transport our airborne division to the South Georgia and Sandwich Islands, we can use our Royal Marines and the 6th Airborne Division to quickly occupy the Falklands, and losing their base in the Falklands, depending on how fast we can position some fighter and bomber aircraft onto RAF Mount Pheasant, the Argentinians will have a hard time retaking the islands if supported by RAF Fighter Command, RAF Bomber Command, and the Fleet Air Arm"

Montgomery: "Get under way to planning the operation, we will review it before I allow preparations."

Meanwhile

The South African Government has announced claims on all British Antarctic Territory once claimed by the British Empire. These will be used for Antarctic research stations, Cold weather training camps, etc. Also, a demand to the country of Venezuela is sent demanding the return of British Guyana to the descendants of the British Empire, the Union of South Africa.

Context: The Emperor is checking in on the submarine progress. Meanwhile, the two diplomats are traversing the vast distance between Lhasa, Urumqi, and Beijing by plane, for the first time ever.

BSC: 11 I-400s have been built, your highness.
SX: Very good. Keep up the excellent work.
BSC: We will, Eternal Emperor. We will.
SX: Do you know what these submarines are for?
BSC: A naval incursion?
SX: Correct. Here is Operation Sea Up Over.
BSC: What does it mean?
SX: Codename for the target. Submarines shall be very helpful to the Japanese, who aren’t building many.
BSC: Well, do you want to make us the official military dockyard?
SX: Perhaps. But why not Zhuhai Shipyard, or Yangtze-Shanghai Port Corp?
BSC: How about we specialize in submarines? It’s by far our biggest export, as well as us being the biggest submarine exporter in China.
SX: Fair. From now on, you are our primary submarine port.

Today, in the year 1949, the Republic-in-Exile of Danish-Iceland as it's officially named has made an official statement to its population. Former Danish monarch now de facto autocrat Frederick IX held a speech in front of thousands of exiled Danes and native Icelanders.

"It's with a heavy heart I make this statement, especially to the Danish men and women who were exiled from our homeland. But today, I signed a treaty with the Icelandic Military, forcing me to step down from government here completely and live as any other Danish exile forced from our home. What's to take my place is a Nationalist movement many know as the Íslenski þjóðernisflokkurinn, or Icelandic Nationalist Party. They are against the social democratic views I and my peers hold, and as such the military has forced us to resign in a coup d'etat of sorts. I give my farewell to government and politics forever, and give my good luck to the Nationalist Party."

Frederick was ushered off the stage by black-shirted guards, then a man in a green military officer's uniform stepped up to the podium.

"Thank you, now, onto business. Some of you may not know me, I am Kristján Olaf, Lieutenant General of the new Nationalist Party and a General in the Icelandic Military."

He paused to allow applause, then continues.

"Today, we, the Nationalist Party, establish a new nation to stand against the Soviet and American threat, against the anarchy of today's international society. The Republic of Iceland, ladies and gentlemen."

More applause.

"The leader of the Íslenski þjóðernisflokkurinn, John Sigmünd, couldn't be here today due to illness, but he will take on the mantle of Iceland's leader, an autocrat in these troubling times. He will lead our nation with despotism and strength in order to siege the threats surrounding us. Our military is stronger than ever, and is currently ready to deploy. Hello, everyone! I'm back, and stronger than before! Now, I'm sorry I couldn't report yesterday, because I was having jet-lag after flying to South Africa! But now, I'm back. Onto the news, for this week gets busy!

First of, Brazil has declared war on Venezuela! In a bid to gain more land, the presidents declaration was approved by a mass vote, and the Venezuelan Army got caught off guard! the advance is slow for now, but they are expected to break soon. However, some other South American nations condemned the attack, declaring that they should work together! But if Venezuela hadn't had enough trouble already, the country I now live in sent an ultimatum to annex their former territory of British Guinea. Their response was "Suck my..."... Okay, for legal reasons I can't say that on radio! The British have yet to respond. This is going to be very entertaining!

Anyway, just when I thought the Australians became boring, they doubled down! A wave of *laughter* nudism swept Tasmania! And the local government *giggles* allowed them to strip down to their underwear*wheezing, laughter*! Anyway *laughter* sorry, the last one was funny. Anyway, they want to build a shipyard in Antarctica. It will take a year to be built and will house their naval forces! What a excellent feat! Also, they're selling the dead emu skulls and are still trying to revive the bird.

In other news, the Chinese Emperor sent delegates to Lhasa and Urumqi, to propose personal unions! The rejected the idea, but offered to be vassals, which would be able to run their own internal affairs and vote, but be subject to the same foreign policy as China and have to pay tribute! They also built 12 submarines. In Mongolia, a giant battle has started after the Mongolian people's republic launched an offensive against Menjiang. The battle is still raging, but if Mongolia wins, the Japanese puppet will be split in two!

Meanwhile, in the Frozen hellhole that I just escaped from, something terrible has happened! The King of Denmark was forced to abolish the Icelandic monarchy, and step down. The military declared a republic, with all other parties banned! And they put nationalists in power! Though the King still leads the Danish Government-in-Exile, he lost all power... for now.

Near to Iceland, uprising in London! With the blockade raging, people have launched an uprising against both occupying powers. Their goals were the end of occupation, the freedom of England, and the right to choose their government! It was crushed, but it shows how many people are upset with the occupation. In the middle east, Arabia and North Iran responded to the Levant shamming them by cutting any and all trade! The Arabian Embassy in Jerusalem closed down.

Back in South Africa, they progressed partially into Nigeria, capturing anarchist land! They also got control of North Rhodesia, which was integrated into it's Southern counterpart.

In weather, the ice strikes back! A new frosty weather has developed, which will help the French socialist republic in it's new goal of Conquering back Algeria! Now get out of your chair, cause this broadcast is done!

Days have passed since the abolishment of the monarchy, and John Sigmünd of Austrian fame has finally made an appearance. He delivered a quick address in Reykjavík followed by a long speech from his right-hand man, Lieutenant General Kristján Olaf. The Icelanders are on a power trip, believing the Nationalists will bring them wealth and military might. The latter is a reality, the Icelandic Military has increased their personnel by 200% since the Nationalist coup, but the finances of the line middle and lower class weren't boring well. Inflation was met with an increase in distribution of banknotes, and several market crashes occurred due to uncertainty by companies in the new government. Olaf talked briefly about this in his speech.

"...The economy, yes the economy has suffered. The Party is working on several reforms to help stimulate the nation and end the Danish socialism that was slowly being injected into Iceland's veins..."

Speaking of military, the 5th Reykjavík Army and 2nd Kópavogur Army have started construction on a fort and defensive wall on the Icelandic Eastern coast. Media sources have observed a gathering of an estimated 70,000 soldiers, around a dozen vehicles, and several naval vessels present. It is assumed the beachheads purpose is to be a defensive point against the Soviets in the east.

Ecological chemical weapons and other news.
A government program for the creation of ecological chemical weapons has been initiated. Samples of the Tasmanian Devil have been collected, this animal produces a smell that many equate to death. It would be used as demoralizing weapons, against enemy troops. Chemical weapons of a more destructive nature are not approved by the federation government. The project has been supported by 100% of the parliament. The people of the Australian federation would never say no to better defend their homeland.

These weapons will be created by the government in great production. Due to this the first tasmanian devil farms have been created. Between this and the wave of nudism still in force, Tasmania is becoming a place of events.

On the other hand, strong earth movements have been registered in our seismographs. We believe that the epicenter comes from Indonesia, in the belt of fire. Good day, everyone! A very good day, in fact, because yesterday, I turned 47! For fourty seven years, I have been on this earth, and for all those years I lived with enthusiasm and glee! Firstly, the government in the ice cube that I just left, also known as Iceland, has begun to make massive changes! The new government built a defensive line on the east coast, facing the soviet union. It is staffed with 7,000 soldiers, along with most of the navy and multiple vehicles. The government also decided to pursue various ventures, and ending Danish socialism. Surprisingly, the inflation rate fell by 81 percent! Huzzah* canned cheering*! Most civilians now trust the government, which still remains to have said it's stance on many things, so I still don't know if I can go back if this trip fails. Regardless, I find them good.

In other news, Argentina has decided to blockade Brazil! The vote was passed in Congress by most of the parties, and now a trade embargo has happened! The Brazilians are advancing slowly, due to the rainforest cover, but once they get through that, the Venezuelans won't survive much longer.

Meanwhile in Russia, the government ordered the construction of a large fleet. The fleet, which will include icebreakers and warm water ships. The warm water ones will be used to protect it's allies, while the icebreakers will break through the ice in North Russia. Thank god I got all my stuff, cause I have a hunch they will attack Iceland.

Back in Australia, which I like to call my comedian, the Australians decided to make a weapon out of the Tasmanian devils scent! And in our final news, discovery at the Congo! The British discovered that their Belgian allies are, in fact, alive! It was a tentative offer however it should cause the request to go through parliament. There was an emergency meeting and everyone was called.

The situation was exposed Conrad was in favor of this request and still had an absolute majority to do so.

I have been hired as postmaster-general of the United Kingdom Government in Exile, so from now, my reach will grow even more! From about 13,000 viewers to millions! I already have 110,000! But, without further ado, let's get started!

Starting off, South Africa has sent a telegram to Australia asking them for protectorate status this Wednesday. The telegram allowed Australia to keep it's army, but put it's navy and foreign affairs in British hands. The monarchy would also be restored. Australia accepted, and on Monday will officially become a protectorate! The Empire is back, since troops flooded from it's new regions into the army, and it grew to an astounding 1,000,000 troops *cheering track*!

In other news, Iceland has created a relatively short, but powerful coastal defense in it's east! Consisting of 8,200 of it's soldiers and most of it's navy. This seemed strange. For a few hours, until Iceland declared war on the Soviets and pulled in most of Europe. Italy decided to help, while France stayed neutral. Yugoslavia still hasn't taken a position. Iceland landed in Copenhagen, but lost! Despite initial success, they lost 400 men, the rest fleeing to the island. King Frederick of Denmark, however, proposed a deal- he would make an alliance with Iceland and arm the Danes, if they guaranteed his independence and brought him back to the throne by wars end. The Icelandic government also banned peaceful protests, but don't worry, we like that you fight the Sovets!

Meanwhile, the Argentinians have officially requested Australia and South Africa join the biding war. This came at the right time, as both Venezuela and Brazil were kicked from the coalition. It is believed a common bet involving 5% of all participating nations GDP's will win the war. So America might not get the Germans after all!

Across the ocean, the Levant, by some spontaneous decisions, appears to be building skyscrapers! Construction is expected to take 10 years for all the major projects. Still, it proves they are way better than America, and by a long shot!

Anyway, in weather, the climate appears to be moist, averaging in good rainfall. This means areas with sand and other types of soft ground will be more difficult to navigate!
