Because I observe Mosaic Law, I eat meat provided by animals that are both ruminants and have cloven-hooves, which has been drained of blood, and fish.

While it might taste bland at first, rice is very nutritious and it's also very cheap and easy to cook!

You should try it!

When I was a particularly poor student my main meal consisted of rice soaked with an OXO cube.

Lately I've been making use of this.. link

It's a Tom Yum soup packet, so it has onion and garlic, then galangal, or ginger, chilli, lemongrass, a lime, chilli paste and bay leaves.. I chop up, drop in a pan with butter, then open a tin of tuna, pour in the oil, then stir fry for a little bit before adding the tuna in and a bit of pasta sauce with the chilli paste and then over some pasta.

Takes 5 minutes and is potent with flavour. The packet makes a good 2 meals so it's cheap as well.

One of my favorite home meals:

Pumpkin cream soup (add tomatoes to it to give it a nice boost in sourness)

A sizzled steak (medium is best), pasta with gravy, asparagus and carrots.

A glass of red wine

...

For extra balance in health, you can include a small salad after the soup. I’d go for lettuce + tomatoes + black olives + Parmesan cheese slices in olive oil and vinegar sauce. Add pumpkin seeds for extra effect.

Resist the temptation to buy the cheapest steak in the market... you buy cheap you get cheap, this is what I learned.

Today’s no health day for me.

I’m going all fast food today :)

The take out baked pasta from the local fast food.

Later this evening I am going to be watching some TV shows with my mother. We will order pizza and fried chicken.

This is such a diverse topic. From how popular food choices are, to the many culinary styles to prepare food, to nutrition, to medicinal cooking, to the future of food (vertical farming, regenerative agriculture, cultured meat, cultured dairy, aquaponics, hydroponics, aeroponics, local community gardening, meal replacements, the use of supplements, etc...), to dietary restrictions (whether they are vegetarian, vegan, flexitarian, pescatarian, religious, medical, personal preference, ethical, etc...).

I got the nickname alien when I was younger in part because I don't like Pasta, I find the texture uncomfortable and always feel sick after eating it, and I never find the taste to be appetizing. Though I sometimes think that the garlicly parmesian smell on a lot of pasta is amazing.
