2 Emu War


The Federal Autralia government has officially declared emu war 2. The first of these wars took place in the year 1932, before the destruction caused by the emus. The crops were lost because of these huge birds, so the government intervened.

Now the government has noticed a fairly substantial increase in emus again. so he is going to send an army squad to finish off the Emus.
 13 brave men armed to the teeth with machine guns, will dedicate themselves to the massive hunting of these animals. To control the population once and for all.

They will be provided with an SUV with a machine gun deployed, so that they can reach the birds. The uncontrolled population of emus amounts to 100,000. If they were not birds it would be an army to fear. The soldiers charged with this task will be remembered throughout the nation as national heroes.

The fields of Australia will soon be free of this pest soon. And the skins and meats of these animals will not be wasted, each and every one of them will be used. The aim is to reduce the population of these birds to at least 20.000.

Although the federal regions of New Zealand and Papua within the regime itself view this slaughter of birds with disapproval. They will have to resign themselves to looking.

It is a liberal democratic party. They don't want to unite all the ocean. They only care about the improvement of state territories and internal policies. They support free trade without intervention. Its leader is Alfred Von Winston.

This party is the representative of New Zealand nationalism. It is a party without an open declaration of ideology. All they want is to demand better conditions on their territory from the federation. Its leader is Martin Chagell.

This group has carried out terrorist acts and human sacrifices, soon their party will be outlawed. But that it finds 3% of the population is serious.

In the country there are also other diverse parties such as Australian Dawn, of fascist court and Australian Marxist Federation of communist court. but they are outlawed. Their current leaders are unknown.

Tech. Rep. of the Levant

Progenitor Einstein recently declared in a speech that although The Levant was a secular state, Judaism and Christianity will also be accepted. Einstein, himself, was a Jew, and didn't want to have discrimination of the Jewish nation in his country.

There's other "Israeli" flags I could've chose, but I like the idea of Israel's flag being mixed with the Jewish Autonomous Oblast's flag. Also, the "Progenitor" will be the name for my Head-of-State. I feel like it fits, for a technocratic country.)

The Progenitor's also focusing on the Armedforces and its reform; also making it compulsory for citizens 17+, as long as they are physically, mentally, and spiritually willing-and-able. Also it'll be accepted to "consciously object" to the Draft/Military Service(s). The Armedforces will also be Egalitarian, as both men and women should want to die for their nation. Although Einstein, himself, was an avowed pacifist, he has stated that the Levant shouldn't be a pacifistic state, as other nations/its neighbors could/would take advantage of the Levant's unassuming state.

Partnership between the Levant and Egypt
Egypt is now split into several warring factions. The Levant and Egypt have had an ancient history/relationship, dating even way back to Biblical times w/ the Pharaoh and the Firstborn Sacrifice/Frogs and insects falling out the sky.

Both have similar histories, and both have technocratic supporters. Progenitor Einstein said that he'd support Technocratic Egypt and the Egyptian Republic (Democratic Egypt), hoping that there'd be some sorta ceasefire or compromise between the two as he wanted another Technocratic Republic in the Mideast. The Suez Canal is also conflicted, with both Levantine and Egyptian govt's claiming ownership over it.

Egypt controls the Suez, but the Levant holds a claim on it, since it's a very significant source-of-water and trade passage.

Relations between Lebanon, The Levant, and Transjordan
Transjordan was monarchic, Lebanon fell to Communism, and the Levant was in-between the two. Levantines wanted some sort of union between the three, though Communist-Socialism proved to be a great threat both to the Mideast and the World. If anything, Lebanese asylum-seekers/refugees flooded the Levantine-Lebanese border. Transjordan? Led by an Islamic family. The Levant is secular, which is a double-edged sword since Islamists and other extremists wanted the middle-east to be an Islamic monopoly.

RESULTS OF THE ELECTIONS OF MARCH 7, ARGENTINA
The elections for the Congress were held March 7, 1948. The result was massive support for President Juan Perón and his party.

Peronist Party: 63.7% in Congress
The party named after and led by President Juan Perón, the PP is hugely popular among the Argentinians. Attempts to explain Peronism often ends in "a mix of nationalism and populism".

Radical Civic Union: 28.0% in Congress
A centrist party who ruled Argentina from 1916 to 1930 when it was deposed by a coup, the RCU has since been the opposition party. But with Perón being an allround good president, voters gradually slipped away, from 42% in 1946 to 28% now.

Others: 8.3% in Congress
In the "battle of the bulls", the "grass" gets trampled (African saying). The big two parties leave little place for others, and certainly not for the Technocrats, who got 1.2% in Congress and 0.4% in the Constitutional Assembly.

Blank votes: 4.2% in Congress
Protesters often vote blank in Argentina.

Background: Juan Perón and his wife, Eva Perón, discuss all sorts of things, something they both like to do.

JP: So, Evita, what do you think the new year will bring?
EP: It's a bit late to ask, darling. New Year is already over.
JP: Still, I've been busy with work and all sorts of things. I've barely seen you last week.
EP: You've got a point. About 1949, I hope people start to have more respect for the women. I can't stop telling you women are an integral part of the world.
JP: And further?
EP: Well, that Argentina continues its growth, both socially and economically. Perhaps, we can then setup a great anti-poverty institution.
JP (laughing): Will you ever stop being an idealist?
EP: No.
JP (a bit shocked): Okay then. I hope that the voters will continue to increase. The last poll showed a good amount of voters.
EP (now is her turn to laugh): The Apocalypse has come! The day when the great revolutionary Juan Perón started caring about voters!
JP (having the giggles): Indeed. Why care about elections when I can just be a dictator! Oh wait. I can't stage a coup d'etat against myself.
The couple share a laugh, but then Juan gets up.

Helloooooooooooooooooooooooo, world! That's right, the Lost Oracle himself is back! I'm your host, Alexander L. Sigmund, and I just couldn't help myself! So much has happened, but I laid quite. Now, I can finally bring you news, for this is the Oracle Week in Review!

Starting off ... *laughter*... Austra...*more laughter*... Australia declared war on... *wheezing, snickering, laughter*... EMUS! Again! After they lost the first two times, they figured third times the charm! Now, a squad of ...*snickering*...13 men have set out with a machine gun and an ...*laughs*... an SUV to kill them! The goal is to reduce the Emu population from 100,000 thousand to 20,000. The Operation went fairly well, with 2000 Emus dead by either the soldiers or other people. Yesterday however, they ran out of ammo! Oh, what will Australia do! How will they resuce themselves from this plague!? Probably not by electing a party based off *more laughter, choking* THE LORD OFF THE RINGS SAGA! Thats right, they're having an election, but that party, despite making awesome explosions, seems to loose! A conservative one seems to barely win, with the goal of uniting Oceania under a federation!

Speaking of elections, the Argentinians are having one as well. The Peronist party seems poised to win by a landslide, and some unverified sources suggest that just yesterday, the Argentine president thought about a welfare system and some other things!

Meanwhile, in Egypt, which has been ravaged by civil war for the past few months, the Levant, a technocratic republic, has urged the Technocrats and Republicans to put aside their differences and sign a ceasefire. It was close, but by one vote, the republicans voted yes, and they and the technocrats declared a unity government to bring order to the country! How splendid! The war will be longer and the monarchists will still win! All for nothing *canned laughter mixed with his*! Anyway, if this new crazy thing they're doing wins, they'll probably be weaklings and give the Levant the Suez Canal, or allow docking rights. They should smile more! America has yet to respond! And speaking of them...

They decided to send out publicly paid degrees to thousands of colleges! Fitting, since they are going to be having the most important science test in the world this April! And also, they decided to make air monitoring! To spy even better on everyone!

In weather, the climate seems normal around the world. Not much change will be made, for now, which won't restrict any mobility. But things change always, so until next time! Stay tuned, folks...

New line of bunkers
The Australian Federal government has approved the creation of a defensive line of naval bunkers along the coast of Papua.
 Robert Mcklenton, president of the Federation, went in person to open the works of one of the bunkers. Right now he is hospitalized, because he did not want to put on his helmet and a stone fell. He is currently unconscious but stable. The federal government of Papua has expressed its gratitude for the construction of bunkers to stop a possible foreign expansion.

The war continues
Parliament has approved the shipment of unlimited ammunition to the squad of 13 men at war with the emues. A bearded man was also awarded a merit medal for killing 203 Emues with a trap that involved a hole-in-the-ground spiked with food.

Illegalization of the Fellowship of the Ring
The fellowship of the ring party has been outlawed in parliament today. The members of parliament representing them stormed out of the room. Speaking in middle earth languages. At the entrance to the parliament some men were waiting for us who we suspect to be the leaders of the other 2 illegal parties. We have not been able to interrogate or capture them. This is because the deputies for The fellowship of the ring, when they saw that they were blocked, took out pistols and killed them. The ex-deputies were detained and put into forced labor for the rest of their days.

Isn't Emus enough?
The new zealand federal government has decided to do genetic experiments to create Aptornis. Old New Zealand bird. With specimens collected from their closest relatives, attempts are being made to resuscitate this species. For now the experiments have failed. The supposedly created calf ended up becoming something like that

A man sits on an office, the door to his office reads, "Head officer” outside his office lies a room bustling with japanese officers, some are working by eavesdropping in conversation from Saigon to Jakarta. Others are writing their reports on suspicious activity throughout the east district.

The silence in the head office is broken by the ringing of a telephone

"Moshi-moshi Masahiru Yoshida, head of the east district branch of the kenpeitai who is this” The man responded

"Yoshida-san, i have word on dissent and some illegal organizations in indochina. Are you sure you’re doing your work?”
The voice from the phone responed

Yoshida suddenly felt a cold sensation throught his whole body, and his voice and movements begin to shake

“O...of cc...course, W...ww what d..do you want me to do to t..these revolutionaries” He responded with his shaky voice

"Cut the head and the rest will fall, i will give you a list on who will suffer an “unfortunate accident”. If you fail to follow these orders then you yourself might suffer an “accident” on your own”

The man hung up and Yoshida let out a sigh of relief, he quickly called his best officers to give them their assignments

"Alright men, we’ve been given orders from the higher ups to get rid of communist symphatizers in indochina and indonesia. We’ve also recieved orders to take care of the communist parties of kampuchea, Luang prabang, and Vietnam. Make it inconspicuous, we don’t want to get the attraction of the mainstream media”

Scientific Outreach Program to be Prioritized
The government announces the new outreach program for foreign scientists who were published in Nature and Science. Chairman of Science and Research S. W. Johnson comments on the matter:
“We believe that we can allocate as much as 1.6 billion dollars total for wages, which accounts for 1% of GDP. In other terms, that's 1.2 million dollars per month! However, any true scientist cannot advance recklessly and guns-blazing with barely checked claims. We may construct some experimental equipment, but if it fails, we pledge not to persecute scientists for letting our nation down. Laws of Nature cannot be cancelled by a decree, as they act independently of our wishes. That's why it's imperative to make a certain portion of wage (¾ of it, for instance) irretractable, for failures sometimes might be as valuable as successes in our understanding of the Nature's Law.”
“Despite still being a solid name, Nature might be compromised by the Soviet occupation authorities. That is the reason why we announce that any recent work published in any journal will be blindly peer-reviewed. In simpler terms, peers will have no idea whom they are reviewing, so that they would judge on the quality of their studies alone, with no discrimination for ethnicity, nationality or ill fame in non-scientific aspects.”

By decision of the parliament and after seeing new movements in Japan, it has been decided that many previously private companies become state-owned. Employees will not be fired. everyone will keep their jobs.

The working day will go from 8 hours a day to 9 maximum. To refloat the economy. The President has not been able to sign any of these new decrees, because he is still admitted to the hospital. Vice President Conrad Grefy has temporarily approved these measures. If the president returns to office, he may cancel anything the vice president has signed.
The vice president's statements were as follows:

`` We announce with grave regret that our partner Robert Mcklenton will not recover soon. That stone that fell on his head that left him unconscious, has led him to a coma. We must hope that he will return with us, if he does not assume the position of president of the federation. In a year we would have early elections, so that the people could choose another representative without destabilizing the system. So far I can only say that a threat is looming from Japan, we cannot doubt it. The first time we managed to escape from the clutches of "The sphere of co-o poverty" We cannot wait sitting down while planning our end. We will raise our heads, with the reforms that I have approved we will get more weapons and a greater economy. We all have to make sacrifices if we want not to fall under the yoke of Japan.´´
 
Consequently, it is believed that for the following year with these measures, our arms productivity will rise between 40% and 50%. Especially in the army and in aviation.

Meanwhile in the hospital in which Robert Mcklenton was admitted the following occurred.

A doctor named Gandalez arrived. he arrive at the room where the President was with some reports. he arrive in a hurry, to inform the rest of the medical team, they were the president's medical tests.

Gandalez hastened to say to the medical team:

'' It is a lost case. He will probably remain in a coma for the rest of his life. (Pointing the finger at the report) As you can read here, his skull has sunk and his brain is half dead. In case he woke up one day, I don't think he could even talk, walk, or move.´´

The medical chief of the section said:

`` I will have to call the vice president. should take charge of the country´´


Soon after, new President Conrad Grefy was at a press conference when his personal phone rang. He picked it up, and started talking to the Section doctor:

"What do you want, I'm very busy right now"

The medical chief told him:

`` The President is dead. Not physically but for now mentally. He has a sunken skull and half a dead brain, he will not wake up and even if he does, he will not have any capacity to govern "

Conrad hung up the phone and before the whole nation said:

`` Brothers, our president has been removed from office because the damage caused has been too serious. They do not believe that he ever got out of a coma. Tomorrow before the parliament I will take my position of president and within a year I will call the ballot boxes "

(Fictional) transcript of a phone conversation between President Juan Perón and Ferdinando Lopez.

JP: Hello mister Lopez. It's 15:30, the date of our rendezvous.
FL: I don't know anything of any rendezvous. Whom am I speaking to?
JP: I'm the president of Argentina. And you are a Spanish immigrant who came to this nation in 1947, right?
FL: I don't see why you should know this.
JP: Because there is no single Lopez who immigrated from Spain in 1947.
FL: Yes there is. Me.
JP: Stop lying, Bohne. Why should you lie to the one who helped you escape in the first place?
FL: I didn't hear the code word.
JP: Rat line.
GB: Okay then, why do you call me?
JP: It's for a message. You were the first German who came to my mind.
GB: I'm listening.
JP: Say to your fellow German refugees that Argentina is the place to be for them. Why would they want to go to Brazil? It's a crumbling dictatorship that actually fought against the Axis.
GB: We can't blame them for that. They were forced to.
JP: We were too, but we didn't budge! Argentina is stable and has elections, a bit monitored of course. Brazil, however, is just another fascist nation. Their people are rioting every 2 days and several global powers are disturbed by the fact that they didn't destroy every fascistic country. No one is safe in Brazil.
GB: That's not really how it is.
JP: It comes very close to reality.
GB: And even if I took that for truth, there is still America. Powerful. Very well paying. Are technocratic.
JP (laughing sarcastically): You don't believe that yourself, do you? As technocratic as they might be, they still have opinions. And believe me, if they didn't participate in WW2 in fear of standing against the other great powers, they certainly don't want to risk their diplomatic stances for some mass murderers with a reputation.
GB: First you say neutrality is positive, then negative.
JP: Listen here. Argentina stayed neutral, despite coercion of the other nations, out of respect for our 'allies', the Axis. America stayed neutral out of fear, taking the first bid they got offered in order to stay out. Now that I think about it, they are a dictatorship too. Argentina is just the ideal place for you. We are a safe haven for people of all origins. We have sympathies for the Axis, but not too obvious to the world. We are democratic, with massive stability as a result. And we are economically growing, meaning more payment with time passing. I'm just about to ratify the "Sciences Subsidies Bill", meaning 1.8 billion dollars goes to the German scientists.
GB: Alright, I'll spread the word.

You just can't write this stuff! Oh, and they made the work day longer and improved the army. that to.

Anyway, in it's rival, Japan, the Emperor did something unexpected- he DIDN'T let his soldiers enjoy themselves! When some of them pillaged Manchuria, he sent them to spanking camps in Burma. Did Tojo get ousted and we don't know? Did the Emperor also hit his head with a brick and this time didn't fall unconscious? Anyway, communist sympathizers in Indochina, Indonesia, Kampuchea, and Vietnam suffered accidents, causing their parties to collapse. The party in Luang Prabang did too, but didn't die.

Wait a minute. Australia's anti-Japanese president suffers an accident along with other anti Japanese leaders... Ah, it's probably nothing. Also, Japan increased education in it's sphere and started tolerating other religions.

Anyway, back to that biding war between America and it's southern neighbors. Recently, America declared that all the German scientists in the two continents would be paid by them 1.6 Billion dollars a year. Then however, seemingly out of nowhere, 43.3 percent of American and Brazilian German scientists went to Argentina, increasing it's number of scientists to 78! According to most reporters, if they get 83, the biding war is won for them! They declared that the scientists would be paid 1.8 Billion a year!

And back to the co-prosperity sphere, the eccentric Chinese leader who calls himself emperor for some reason wants to negotiate with Japan over his occupation.

In weather, Temperatures around the globe are starting to freeze. In colder places, like Britain and Japan, this will delay operations, but in warm ones like Australia and new Zealand, it will speed them up!

Carlos Valdez, Presidential Candidate for the Brazilian Democratic Party,defeats his technocratic opponent Dr. Maria Sanchez and his Communist opponent Felipe Lopez by capturing 80% of vote in the December 1948 Presidential Election. In his victory speech held the morning after the elections in front of the international press, he vowed that he will never let Brazil fall to the technocratic and communists take over Brazil. He also warns the Americans to leave South America alone and he vow to win the Bidding War with the Americans. In the Brazilian Congressional Elections, the Democratic Party wins 400 seats in 500 seat unicameral Senate. The Technocratic Party win 70 seats while the Brazilian Socialist Party only won 20 seats and the fascist All Brazil Party won only 10 seats.

He views the regime in Washington as corrupted and inefficient and he tells the world that democracy still lives on here in Brazil. But, King George VI has been trying to make the best of his situation. A officer came up to him.

Admiral of the Fleet Sir Bruce Fraser is the First Lord of the Admiralty, the Commander in Chief of the Royal Navy, the pride of Britain, which was still mostly in British hands.

Fraser: "Your Majesty, I have been working closely with Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery and Marshal of the Royal Air Force Sir Arthur Tedder, and we have concluded that we are gonna be stuck down here for a while. So, we think that it is best to regain control of the old southern colonies."

George VI: "And how do you suppose we do that? Due to lack of oil, the fleet can't be moved at once, while we are still working on airbases for the remnants of the Royal Air Force."

Fraser: "Well, we can still use portions of the fleet, while being able to replenish our fuel reserves. Our plan is to regain control of Tazmania first. We do this by using the Carrier Battle Group and a transport fleet, which will move 20,000 South African troops in the early stages, and more if they are needed."

George VI: "I want it done immediately, but you actually came about a light cruiser design, Admiral?"

Fraser: "Yes, sir. As we no longer have the shipbuilding capability to produce huge warships, I wanted to attempt to construct one modern light cruiser design. The Design Z project, which we abandoned in 1947, now might be the best long-term course of action for our shipbuilding."

George VI: "What is the Design Z Project, Admiral?"

Fraser: "It's meant to be a all-gun light cruiser for the Royal Navy. Greetings again, everyone! At this point, we have noticed that the world is moving fast today! From all across the world, no one lays quite, except this frozen hellhole. But besides the point, I am a fast talker, so I shall relay the news straight to you. For this is the Oracle week in review!

Starting out, the Brazilians have had an election. The democratic party, in a surprise fashion, won 80% of the vote! What a performance*cheering in background*! The Brazilian president vowed to win the Great Biding War, though whether that means working with Argentina is hard to say! Also, my radio station went kinda Janky because of a message from there. Strange.

Anyway, the Peronists confirmed the deal to give the German scientists more money, by a large vote! And in other news, they decided to ally with the Australians! Let's see what that alliance looks like! They almost threatened Brazil, but it failed! I think...

Anyway, the Levant decided to go green in a red desert, and planted trees, improved canals, and introduced measures to make the Levant more free! Maybe they're not as bad as the Americans. They also send supplies to Egyptian technocrat republicans.

Anyway, America did many things. First, they DOUBLED the bid from last week, seeking to one up Argentina, meaning all South American countries will have to work together.
