Character Description
    Name: Emma Greenwood
Aliases: Venom, Poison Woman (If someone can come up with something better that’ll be great)
    Gender:Female
    Age: 22
    Appearance:

Motivations
Goals: She wants to make a better life for herself and improve the lives of fellow meta humans
Fears: Accidentally killing a friend or loved one.

Strengths and Weaknesses
Source of Power: Poison; also includes Toxins and Venoms
    Powers :
    - Poison Bending/Manipulation: She has the ability to control poison, toxins and venom to her own will.
    - Toxikinesis: She can spit venom and control the toxins in a opponents body.
-Toxokinesis: She has the ability to physically manipulate harmful body and mind-altering substances.
-Toxic Area: She has the ability to project an area of poison that can infect their surroundings
    - Toxikinetic Combat: She can utilize poison in physical combat making her touch potentially fatal, she can use a variety of poisons, ranging from pain-inducing, disorienting, nauseating to lethal poison.
-Venomous Thorns: She has the ability to secrete a gooey substance that upon being released will harden into thorns, she then can launch these thorns to her opponents.
-Poisonous Aura: She can surround herself with a toxic like matter that acts like a shield. She even has a limitation on this ability: for the range of three minutes Emma can even use this ability to enhance himself and deal corrosive damage to others and objects.
Abilities: Hand to hand combat. She’s also quite skilled using her trusty crossbow.
Equipment: A Knife, two daggers and a crossbow.
Weaknesses: Anybody that has a knowledge with medicine and anybody with healing abilities. Some of her abilities if not used correctly can even harm her as well. She can not regenerate by using poison.

Background:
Job: Amateur Vigilante, she fights crime around her part of the city.
Legal Status: She is a American born citizen. She’s occasionally helped the police under the aliases of Venom and Poison woman. Shes currently under investigation from TIAMA, the hero Association as a potential hero.
    Backstory:
She’s a local vigilante. The public knows her as venom or poison woman, but it wasn’t always this way. A native to the city of New York, she was born in Manhattan. An easy childhood, until she was in school. It wasn’t until one day she passed by an abandoned factory in a different section of the city, she was attracted to a foul smell. Upon entering the factory she found barrels upon barrels of poison and other venomous liquids. She got so distracted exploring the factory that she lost track of time and it quickly got dark outside. Trying to find a way out she stumbled upon an unknown object where the barrels of the liquid spilled out. A barrel managed to hit her head and she fell unconscious. Upon regaining her consciousness she found herself in the factory, the only difference was that there was light now from outside and the poison was gone. Unknown to her at the time was that her body had mysteriously absorbed ALL of the poison which under normal circumstances should’ve killed her, but it didn’t. Dazed and confused she managed to leave the factory and continue her daily life. Her newfound abilities were unknown to her until she entered high school. As one day she noticed her skin was secreting a strange substance and it was not sweat, this strange substance attained a horrific odor that she was sent home that day. Confused about it she silently watched her life turn around as she became a target for bullies. Nicknames such as stinky feet and other names circulated among her classmates. Emma persevered and managed to graduate among the top students of his class. That summer she finally accepted her abilities as part of herself and spent a huge amount of time getting to practice and experimenting the extent of her abilities. She eventually went on to college but dropped out at the end of the school year. She would then go from job to job not staying there for very long. It wasn’t until her 21 birthday that she decided to make a name for herself and try to make the world a better place. Using the money that she got from capturing criminals she was able to buy her equipment. A knife, two daggers and her crossbow. She ended up having to teach herself how to use her new equipment and even went to classes for further knowledge on how to use her equipment. From that point on she would go around New York fighting crime and trying to stay under the radar, unfortunately for her, though it was enough for TIAMA to notice and start to investigate her as well.

Gods Among Us Character Application

Character Description

Motivations

Goals: Emma doesn't really have a major goal per say. She just wants to lower crime rates and build a better society, as well as be a positive role model for girls and women who see her on TV and in the news. Really, the reason why she took up the mantle and unique persona of "Jester" was to entertain people and make them smile, and if she managed to brighten up one person's day as a result of her heroic pursuits, then it's a complete success of a day in her book.

Fears: Death is her ultimate fear, whether it's her own death, or someone else's death at the hands of her own bad call or fumble.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Source of Power: She has metahuman ancestry, and a result, was able to inherit her powers genetically.

    Powers :
    • Illusion Generation: Emma's powers revolve around fooling and tricking others through the use of illusions and mirages. The most basic form of this power is the Illusion Generation, where she casts out an illusion that tricks the viewer's mind into seeing and hearing things that aren't actually there. This can range from anything to a spider on their shoulder, to a wrecking ball smashing through the wall, to a dozen clones of Emma that are practically indistinguishable from the real one. She can transmit these illusions to either one single person or multiple people, although it is much easier to convince two or three people that they're seeing things versus twenty or thirty.

    • Illusion-Based Mimicry: A more advanced form of the illusion-casting ability is illusion-based mimicry, or shapeshifting. Emma can transform her entire body or parts of her body into various shapes and sizes, including people, animals, plants, inanimate objects, and even thin air, essentially going invisible. Her imagination is the limit. Upon transforming, she retains the appearance, sound, smell, etc. of whatever she shapeshifted into, but will not retain innate qualities or powers. So, while she can transform her body to look like a brick wall, a punch to that brick wall is not going to harmlessly bounce off, it's going to hurt.

    • Money Makes the World Go Round: Simply put, thanks to her status as the heir of a massive shipping empire, Emma has a lot of money, and connections too, those connections are pretty helpful. While she's not exactly involved in the day-to-day operations of the company, preferring to hand that responsibility over to her older and wiser brothers, she enjoys her cut of the estate quite a bit, and often uses it for R&D. This has helped her create a vast assortment of gadgets and gizmos disguised as toys and magic tricks that she often uses in her heroic expeditions, something which has caught many a headline over the months.

    Abilities:
    • Baton Twirling: Thanks to years as a competitive baton twirler, Emma is very adept with a...baton. She can perform an array of tosses, flips, skips, leaps, and swings that make her surprisingly threatening with a baton at close-range. It's not just limited to batons either; Emma has also twirled with prop rifles, sabres, and machetes, so using a longer weapon such as a staff is not outside of her capabilities either.

    • General Athleticism: Baton twirling and color guard are two arts that are very physically demanding, requiring excellent gymnastics skills and physical fitness in order to pull off. As a result, despite a few injuries over the years, Emma is in excellent shape, and is incredibly nimble and agile on the field.

    • Juggling?: Uh...she can pull off a mean juggle? Seriously, it's pretty insane, she can juggle tennis balls, clubs, rings, knives, torches, cigar boxes, whatever the hell she needs to. It's pretty menacing and flashy, even if it's a little bit useless sometimes.

    Equipment:
    • Costume: As pictured in the Appearance section, Emma wears a rather inconspicuous hero's costume, a set of formal clothing that makes her look more at home in a Las Vegas Casino rather than the streets of Brooklyn. So what's so special about it? Well, the suit actually contains Lycra that is interwoven with steel fibers, allowing for a surprisingly flexible outfit that helps protect from certain sharp and blunt traumas. It's certainly not bulletproof by any stretch, but to a fist or blade, it is a fairly solid counter. It's also specially treated to be waterproof and resistant against electricity, especially in the costume's gloves. Fireproofing is...something she's working at the moment, she hasn't quite gotten there yet.

    • The Arsenal: The Arsenal is Emma's selection of cutesy, toy-based weaponry that isn't so cutesy once you're on the receiving end of it. Generally, Emma only has room to take four of these at once, due to the limited space constraints of her costume. These weapons include the following:
      • Jackknives: They're...jackknives. Three of them to be exact. They're great for entertaining people with juggling and flip tricks, but they can also be handy weapons in a pinch.
      • Razor Cards: What might look like a standard deck of Bicycle playing cards is actually a deck of deadly weapons. Each card has a sharp metal blade that is subtly coated along the edge of the card, and they can cause nasty wounds if aimed correctly. They're not even that much sharper than the average hunting knife, but their light weight and special aerodynamic quality makes them a more compact, harder to hit version of a throwing knife.
      • The Magic Wand: What appears to be a standard "magic wand" is actually a painted steel baton, and it can hurt like crazy if one is struck by it. It contains a thin rubber grip on one end for extra safety, as well as a button on the end that triggers off "shock mode", electrifying the contact section of the baton. She can control the current's power with a small dial located on the rubber grip, adjusting it on a scale of anywhere from 0 to 2000 milliamps, depending on the opponent she's facing. A second button, located on the opposite side of the grip from the dial, allows the baton to extend into a six-foot quarterstaff, perfect for keeping the enemy at a distance. However, wielding a six-foot pole of electricity is generally a...poor idea, so whenever she extends her baton, she's essentially sacrificing the shock power for extra length.
      • Yo-Yo Grapple: Exactly what it sounds like. The yo-yo contains ninety feet of a special nylon string, one that can carry up to 200 lbs. The yo-yo itself is motorized and can clip onto either Emma's belt or a metal prong on the wrist of her glove. Additionally, there's also a special, hidden feature to the yo-yo; press both sides down simultaneously, yank the string three times, and five seconds later, the yo-yo will blow up with the power of a standard grenade. It's pretty neat, although it does destroy the grappling hook.
      • Bombs: Bombs, bombs, bombs galore. She has several different types of bombs hidden inside several color-coded bouncy balls that are usually used for juggling and minor magic tricks. Red balls are standard explosives, around as powerful as the average grenade. They're basically just used for knockbacks, stunning, and distractions. The blue balls are used as flashbangs, creating a sudden bright light that can be very disorienting. Finally, the green balls are smoke bombs, releasing a thick cloud of acrid haze that can be quite pesky to get rid of.
      • Ring Bug: In the world of magic, it's very common for magicians to use thumb sleeves or other light-up tools to create the illusion of magical lights every time they snap their fingers, press them together, etc. Emma uses a ring that gives off a red glow every time the jewel in the middle is pressed. However, the ring also doubles as a microphone, allowing her to bug and snoop on her enemies.
      • Drill Top: Emma carries a large, motorized top that doubles as a high-powered drill. While it's mostly used for actual surfaces, if push comes to shove, it can be used as an effective, albeit slightly gory weapon.
      • Chalkboard: A popular act in Emma's magic show is the chalkboard scene, where messages from spirits and ghosts appear to write words on a chalkboard. However, this chalkboard can also double as a nifty shield that is able to take damage from bullets and knives. Unfortunately though, it's quite heavy and cumbersome, and as a result, she doesn't bring it into combat very often.

    Weaknesses:
    • Human: Money can't buy invulnerability or immortality quite yet, and as a result, Emma is still as squishy as a regular human being. Her costume gives her a bit more defense than the average person, but it's still fairly easy to break through, and doesn't improve her physical strength, speed, or stamina in any way. She has to rely on her expensive toys if she wants to do any real damage.

    • Seeing Isn't Feeling: While Emma's illusions are very accurate and are able to replicate the sights and sounds of a certain object to a perfect degree, she has yet to develop a way for people to "feel" the illusions. To go back to the earlier example of a wrecking ball going through a wall, while the wall will seem to collapse and the ball will seem to swing, if one was to stand in the way of the ball, it would simply pass through them and not knock them back in any capacity. She can trick people's eyes, but she can't trick their nerves and bodies into feeling something that isn't there.

    • Large Crowds: Casting an illusion to one person is fairly easy, as you're only fooling one pair of eyes that are connected to one brain. Fooling twenty pairs of eyes connected to twenty brains is much harder. Fooling fifty pairs of eyes connected to fifty brains is even more difficult than that. While the illusion will be similar, it will not be perfectly uniform across all fifty people, and will create inconsistencies and errors that give up the ruse fairly quick.

    • Complex Illusions: Obviously, it is much harder to pull off certain illusions versus others. Creating the illusion of a puddle of water on the ground is much more difficult than creating the illusion of a tank barging down a street, and while there is no major "energy drain" so to speak (she can become mentally tired or exhausted, but her physical stamina will not be affected), it is very easy for her to make clumsy errors while attempting to pull off complex figures. For example, if she wants to create the illusion of her firing off an AK-47, she not only has to create the illusion of the gun, but the auditory illusion of the gunfire, the visual illusion of the bullets coming from the gun, and the resulting bullet holes in the wall. If she misses one of these elements, then it very clearly gives away the illusionary nature of her mirages.

    • Gadget Limitations: Emma only has a limited amount of space in her costume for her tools, and can't bring all eight into battle at once. As a result, she usually has to pick and choose four she wants to take at a time, and tailor her weapons to the situation at hand.

Background:
Job: Emma is a fairly successful magic act when she's not beating up bad guys, performing mostly in the NYC area.
Legal Status: US Citizen, with no criminal record to speak of.

Backstory: Emmeline Davis was born in Brooklyn, NY, the youngest child born to two wealthy shipping moguls. As a kid, she had everything she could've ever wanted for, any toy, any gift, anything. With a wave of the hand, she could move mountains of cash, and never had to lift a finger for anything. As a result, her childhood was fairly calm and relaxed, the only noteworthy part of it being her powers, and the only issue of it being the crippling boredom that comes when you have everything. Her two older brothers put the boredom towards parties that would make Andy Warhol's Factory orgies look like a housewarming get-together, while Emma put her energy towards one thing; twirling.

Emma had been twirling since she was young, and was in love with the sport. She competed as part of her high school's color guard, and spent most of her free time practicing for her next event. She performed at competitions, parades, sports games, wherever, whenever. She loved the sport, and devoted most of her life to practicing at almost any opportunity she could. She was practically a rockstar in the field...until she injured her knee. And her ankle. And her elbow. A lot of injuries, to be honest, most of which healed over time, but basically prevented her from competing on the level she once had. She was destroyed, and spent a few months directionless, looking for any sort of sign for what to do with her rich, miserable life. When you were a teenager with powers, and your main passion is destroyed, you have two options: find another one, or become a superhero. She chose the latter, and her parents shipped her off to a Metahuman Academy.

She graduated at the age of 18, and took a few years to find her footing. She picked up a pretty solid gig as a magician, putting her illusionary skills to good use, and soon became very well in-demand across the city. During her non-gig downtime, she worked to get sponsorship from TIAMA, and after three years of squabbling and taking care of the finest D-list criminals that NYC had to offer, she soon became a TIAMA-sponsored hero working under the moniker of "Houdini".

Unfortunately, things took a wrong turn quickly. Thanks to the very non-offensive nature of her powers, she began to have trouble keeping up with the threats and perils of the city, and took loss after loss, including the loss of her parents, who were killed in what was widely suspected and rumored to be an ordered hit by a rival business. The family was devastated, yet they didn't have time to grieve. The will needed to be executed, the estate had to be divided, and somebody had to take over in the company. Her two older brothers left the party lifestyle to take a leadership role within the shipping business, while Emma took her share of the estate and invested it in some new, fancy equipment, giving her an entire offensive arsenal for crime-fighting. She re-branded herself as "Jester", and set off on a new era of heroism, bringing herself back out of another slump in her life and finally achieving success as a sponsored hero. She's still a sponsored hero today, with TIAMA being the only people aware of her true identity. By day, her life is fairly mundane, a fairly entertaining position as a professional magician. By night, a whole other beast comes out entirely, and Jester is the one that roams the streets.

Gods Among Us Character Application

Character Description
    Name: Benjamin A. Montgomery
    Aliases: Nightmare
    Gender: Male
Age: 123 (Physically around the age of 20)
    Appearance:
He will wear casual clothing befitting of even modern age when not going out in his old WWI equipment. When he's in his equipment he will be wearing a custom gas mask appear to be from after WWI, or during early WWII. His equipment doesn't include the backpack in the picture below.
    The Smug fuck

    When deprived of his book.

Motivations
Goals: Satiate his book's appetite for chaos and blood. All while coming back home to take care of his lovely flower garden. He's a pretty content man, and is totally fine with having this stay his routine.
Fears: His lovely flower garden getting destroyed. Losing his book.

Strengths and Weaknesses
Source of Power: Unlocking Eldritch truth, ownership of an ancient corrupting book.
    Powers :
The Fordbidden Tome of K'vekne'eh: He has an ancient book that has taken the form of an old WW1 field manual. The book can form to new sizes depending on the situation, but Benjamin keeps it the way he found it. This book allows him to access all sorts of eldritch lore, and gives him access to inhuman abilities. One such ability being that he stopped aging the moment he obtained it. The book is linked to him, and if lost will give off its location to him. Meaning the only effective way to keep him from it is to have someone constantly moving away from him with it in their possession.

The Horrors of War: This horrific power allows him to summon up to five screaming skeletal figures, all clad in WWI equipment of various nations. The figures are unarmed, and quite easily dispatched with enough force. (Roughly the force to knock someone out is enough) They also don't do much besides grab people or throw weak hits and scratches at their target. But what they excel in is crushing morale. Since a bunch of screaming demonic skeletons trying to grab you is quite a horrifying thing to see indeed.

Screeching Metal Wires: He can summon barbed wire within a 5 meter radius, or have barbed wire tentacles come from his hands. In the 5 meter radius barbed wire can coil around whatever target he focuses on. With the wire being able to skewer, crush, shred, or even restrain his target. The area of effect wires can summon enough wires as his personal strain will. Meaning he can summon enough around a civilian vehicle to eventually crush it, or enough to cause an APC to get tangled up and stuck. Pushing past those milestones is quite tiring however, and requires great amounts of concentration and strain. His barbed wire tendrils will pierce through multiple points in his hands, but leave no wounds when rescinded. The tendrils are able to do the same actions as the area of effect wires, and have more practical use from hand level. They can even be summoned to eject from his hand at extreme enough force to harm an enemy with the kinetic damage. However if summoned from his hands he cannot use it as an area of effect (and vice versa), and it can only extend two meters rather than five.

Miasma of Death: He can unleash a black miasma around his body that extends out to a 2 meter radius. This miasma will cause the effect of Chlorine gas upon those in it without proper protection. However, use of this ability is very limited. He cannot produce miasma and have it spread through vents, it stays around his body no matter what. Its effects are also limited as once someone exits the miasma, they will instantly lose all of the effects it left upon them. Meaning in order for the miasma to even be fatal, the afflicted party would have to stay inside it long enough to perish. (See "Victim of his Own Success" for major drawbacks.)

A Monster: His hands have become sharpened, bony black chitin claws that show no signs of dulling. While they are perfectly good at shredding civilian grade body armor, and absolutely dangerous when used in hand to hand combat. Their main use is much more horrifying. As they allow him to draw blood from victims and "feed" his book. Allowing him to heal nonfatal wounds such as broken bones or deep gashes. Along with an exponential boost in reflexes allowing him to become much more dangerous. (See "Had its fill" for drawbacks)

Radio Waves: Less of a useful power and more of just something neat he can do. Unencrypted radio channels can be effected to play disturbing messages, or distorted music from the WWI era. This can't really be used on equipment like military or police radios, unless they're unencrypted.

    Abilities:
Combat Experience: While he may not remember most of his military training. He most assuredly has the experience to deal with any stressful or tense event professionally. Who would've thought fighting in a World War would make you good at multitasking. This also comes with the added benefit of being quite an athletic individual.
Respected Veteran: He's a registered war vet, so of course people give him a good amount of respect. It also helps that he's a devilishly charming individual.
Green Thumb: He's a damn good gardener.
    Equipment:
-Custom gas mask seemingly made in between WWI-WWII. It's been modified to take modern filters.
    -1911 With Ammunition
-Standard issue ammunition pouches from his WWI kit.
    -His Book
    Weaknesses:
Can't Live Without it: Without his book in personal contact (for example in his pocket), his form will deteriorate to show off a monstrous visage of what was once a man. While he will return to normal upon returning of his book, it's certainly quite a memorable appearance. Along with this he will lose any and all powers excluding his "A Monster" power. Along with these, he will lose mental fortitude and will immediately suffer a mental breakdown while aggressively searching for his book.

Victim of His Own Success: His Miasma ability can and will harm him to. While not fatal to him as it would be for others, it would most definitely knock him unconscious if his gas mask were damaged or removed while he uses the ability.

Had its Fill: His book will only take so much blood in a day, roughly half the amount in the human body. Along with this the beneficial properties will scale an amount of blood needed to fully complete the process. While he could still get the enhanced reflexes, he could not completely heal a broken leg if there's not enough blood. With any further benefits ending as soon as the book has had too much blood.

He's Human After All: Despite how horrific he is, he's still a human. Meaning a bullet can put him down just as quickly as others. While he would have more tolerance and endurance against things knocking him out, he's still not superhuman in that regard. Even if he's using powers you could kill or knock him out.

Background:
    Job: Friendly Gardener and Landscaper
Legal Status: United States Citizen, Beloved War Veteran, and Unknown Serial Killer
    Backstory:
Born and raised in the great state of Massachusetts as a single child, Benjamin was always an upstanding individual in his community. Always found working whatever jobs he can, and being sure to support his community. That was until a little after his 20th birthday. When the United States officially entered WWI. Of course this was quite the event, but he was more than proud to enlist and make his dear old Uncle Sam proud.

Being filled with patriotic fervor and weeks of training, he was deployed into Europe with one of the very first waves of American forces. He and his comrades saw much success in the first week of fighting those silly Krauts. Acceptable losses, and still a bunch of momentum! Things slowed down though, very quickly. With months of brutal artillery barrages, weather, and trench conditions setting in on him. Benjamin was honestly thinking he was gonna be stuck in some French field for the rest of the war. Until his commander briefed his squad on a seemingly abandoned German trench reported by the scouts.

Of course they were sent to go raid and take the Trench, this could've been the most advancement anyone on the front lines made in a long time. The whole raid was going along smoothly until a dense fog set in, and the visuals of torn barbed wire and tattered cloth filled the area. Odd to see such a quiet and eerie sight, but it wasn't a bad sign... That was until they saw multiple deceased German soldiers crucified in horrific ways all across the trench they were there to take. With brutal sights of viscera and tattered remains all across the ground.

While the sight of the trench truly was shocking, what they found inside was much worse. Most of the enemy found that weren't gorily killed outside, were found to have committed suicide in multiple manners. He and his squad were of course traumatized with each and every view they experienced throughout the trench. Yet, he felt something calling to him within it. Something strong, welcoming. The further they ventured in the trenches, the more this feeling hit Benjamin in particular. Until they eventually came across the command foxhole, with Benjamin being utterly consumed with this feeling. To the point of ordering his men to stay outside while he went in himself.

He found the enemy commander dead, holding out a small field manual. A pulsating feeling reaching out to Benjamin as he took it off the corpse. Both a big mistake, and the very thing that saved his life. For as soon as he touched that little book, he heard the inhuman screams of his men outside. With him immediately going out to be confronted with the sight of his comrades being dragged off and skewered by barbed wire tendrils. More barbed wire circling around him, and even going into him. Pain becoming irrelevant instantly, and a feeling of... Happiness taking over Benjamin. As he displayed horrific abilities to himself and his dying men. The book opening to welcome the new feast of blood brought upon it.

After the events of the trench, he was sent home as a wounded individual. With the war ending not much long after, and him being stuck in a boring post war life. This wasn't helped by the fact the book kept calling for him to feed it. He NEEDED something to happen, something to let him satiate his book's hunger. Luckily for him, not long after, some of the most challenging periods in American History followed. Giving him plenty of opportunities to live his "normal" life.

The next few decades were a blur, even as times and people changed. One thing that wasn't a blur was every single kill he would make for his book over the years. Unlocking unspeakable information, unparalleled pleasure, and peace to what would be a truly troubled mind. Over the years he had some interest from the government come in. Due to the fact of his unnatural youth showing itself by the 1981. With a dashing 20 year old appearing man being officially recorded as a 80+ year old. This could've ended his little run of killings and the like, but it got him on board with an unwitting government.

His brief partnership with the government only lasted until 1990, and didn't result in much besides him being given an early registration in the government's book of known meta humans. Thus his life continued to be quiet once more, continuing his depraved cycle. With him pushing forward another 30 years in a blur... That was until he saw the news one day. Seeing the many bloodbaths caused by different "superheroes" throughout the country. This was of course, something interesting. Interesting enough to make the boring old cycle fun again, even invigorating. Perhaps it was time for him to add another thing to his retirement leisure list.

Feel free to tell me what changes need made. Gonna list Charon as non-canon in order to swap this guy in.

Gods Among Us Character Application

Character Description
    Name: Rachel Olympe Delacroix.
    Aliases: The Silver Shepherd.
    Gender: Female.
    Age: 27.
    Appearance:
Without the interdependent activated, with it.
A few notes on the appearance: Rachel is abnormally small, standing around 4'11. When the interdependence takes over, however, she grows in height. Also, unlike the picture, when the interdependence is dominant, none of the webbing or spider-like iconography is present, though black ribbons of colour still marble the white exterior. When Rachel activates her interdependent's powers, it spreads from the base of her spine to cover her entire body

Motivations
Goals: Rachel wants to become a theological expert and studies the Bible daily. However, her ultimate goal is to spread as much good throughout the world as possible, helping people and stopping the forces of evil where she can. She believes that she was given a gift by God to do so and will do so until her death or she is vindicated by a sign from God. She views herself as a sort of modern-day Joan of Arc.
Fears: She secretly fears that her powers were not given to her by God - and it was indeed a freak coincidence that she ended up with the interdependence. She fears that what she's doing and what she's working towards, even if it is good, is not for the good of God. She also fears loss of control in favour of the interdependence, as it has the ability to hurt those that she cares about and undo everything she's worked towards.

Strengths and Weaknesses
Source of Power: Her source of power is what is called the interdependence, an extraterrestrial symbiotic being who "bonded" with her following its accidental arrival on Earth. The interdependence has an animalistic mind of its own which can take over if Silver Shepherd's situation becomes desperate enough, or if she becomes angry or injured enough, and turns her into a much more dangerous being with a significantly reduced care for civilian casualties and no regard for good or evil - the interdependence sees things as predators or prey. She views the interdependence as the greatest gift and greatest test from God, who gave her the interdependence to do good but also tempt her with evil and animalistic tendencies. Over the years, she has perfected and trained up her relationship with her symbiote, which is much more controllable than it originally was.
    Powers :
  • "As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace" [Extraterrestrial Assassin]: Whatever the interdependence was or where it came from, it clearly occupied a specific niche in the food chain as an ambush predator. Once bonded to Rachel, the abilities that the interdependence cultivated as it evolved were transferred to her and she can assume them at will; however, assuming them risks the rise of the interdependence as a personality. This means that Silver Shepherd has superhuman agility and strength, with an emphasis on the former. She becomes unnaturally quick, often leaping across buildings or off of walls for lunges at enemies. She can dodge things easily and, combined with Rachel's gymnastic past, often look incredibly graceful in battle, dodging, flipping, lunging through chaos. The interdependence also gives a level of superhuman strength, but it is only a little above what a normal human could be able to achieve- we're not talking the Hulk or Superman here, probably not even Spider Man either. Enough to overpower non-super individuals, but will be outmatched by super-strength individuals almost always.
  • Rip and Tear Until it is Done [Sharpened claws]: The interdependence gives Silver Shepherd the ability to have razor-sharp, retractable, super strong claws. These claws, despite being made out of the interdependence, are not only super sharp, but also stronger than a great many metals, being able to tear through them with ease. For instance, the Silver Shepherd can slash through thin steel, but would have trouble penetrating titanium. This also allows her to grasp on walls and "climb" them for lunges at enemies, etc. These claws are "retractable", meaning that Silver Shepherd can form them and transform back to "regular" hands at will.
  • "I will fear no Evil, for You are with me" [Nerve Dampening]: A form of super durability, Silver Shepherd has a much higher pain tolerance than most others when the interdependence is dominant. A combination of the interdependence manipulating her body's adrenaline output and the properties of the interdependence itself, Silver Shepherd can fight through much more physical damage than the normal human being could take. The thick skin of the interdependent prevents small or minor wounds, such as knives or smaller caliber bullets, and more serious wounds such as shrapnel, superhuman punches, etc., may be felt to a greatly reduced degree. Of course, this doesn't mean that the wounds go away or are negated, but rather that Silver Shepherd doesn't notice them until things have calmed down a bit - this can be a double-edged sword at times; there have been times when Silver Shepherd has been hospitalized for wounds received during battles.
  • "But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord" [Enhanced cellular regeneration]: The interdependence has its own healing factor, much quicker than a standard human's. Now, this isn't to say that the healing factor is large enough to make the character virtually invincible, but it does mean that severe wounds may carry less severe consequences, and major issues for normal humans which may take weeks, months, or even years to heal, would take much quicker for Silver Shepherd. The healing is not instantaneous, but cuts heal quicker, bleed less. Broken bones cast quicker and are back in action sooner. It's also what's keeping her alive - the interdependence keeps her genetic condition in check, and without it, she would likely die within hours.

Abilities: Rachel was a gymnast for most of her life and even without the interdependence is quite agile, flexible, and acrobatic.
    Equipment: I wouldn't think so.
    Weaknesses:
  • Loud noises disorient her much more than the normal human. Explosions, ringing bells, etc., can not only disorient her, but, if continued without respite may cause her to lose control over the interdependence.
  • The interdependence itself acts as a double-edged sword in the sense that it's hard to control, and only through a decade of training, self-control, and many other techniques is Rachel able to control the interdependence to a fairly stable degree. If control is lost, the interdependence reverts to a primal, animalistic state while still controlling Rachel's body (this is referred to by Rachel as "going back inside" for both her and the interdependence). It will seek to kill without discrimination and sees the world as predators and prey. Typically, these states do not last long, and it can be brought back under control by a significant amount of concentration.
  • Rachel's rare genetic disease is only kept from killing her by the intervention of the interdependence. If they were somehow separated, Rachel would die within hours or days.
  • Another significant weakness is her nerve dampening. While this can lead to Silver Shepherd fighting on much longer in a battle even if she's outmatched, it also means that she can sustain life-threatening injuries, even to her, without her taking significant notice of them. There have been a pair of occasions where she has been hospitalized because of wounds that she didn't even know she had.

Background:
Job: She's a teacher's assistant for theological studies at a local college. However, prior to being recruited into TIAMA, she was a vigilante on the streets.
Legal Status: A legal dual citizen in the United States and France. However, Silver Shepherd's identity remains unknown, so Rachel Delacroix, to everyone, is a regular citizen.
    Backstory:
Born in Seattle, Washington, she and her family moved to Mulhouse, France, when Rachel was no more than six years old. Her father, an electrical engineer, often moved around for work but was from France originally, while her mother was American. Growing up learning both English and French in Mulhouse, Rachel was a decent student but a good study during her formative years. During this time, she also took part in gymnastics, becoming incredibly skilled and dedicated to the sport. Eventually, she became known as a provincial competitor and champion by the time that she was fifteen. After this, however, the family moved back to America, back to Seattle.

Rachel had a hard time adjusting to life in America, and had few friends in high school. Shortly after her sixteenth birthday, however, Rachel began to get sick. A whooping cough and high fever developed into coughing up blood and a constant fever with her skin draining of most colour, becoming grey. Eventually, her eyes became bloodshot consistently, and her irises turned bright red in colour. Taking Rachel to the hospital, her parents found out that she had developed an extremely rare genetic condition that had no treatment - she was given two years to live. Her parents attempted to make peace with this fact, but could not, while Rachel struggled with the idea of her own death.

The family moved out to Wenatchee, Washington, where the climate felt better for Rachel's condition as she gradually grew worse. One night, as the days approached the two-year time limit given by the doctors, a meteor struck the earth not far from the Delacroix's isolated home in Wenatchee. This meteor contained the interdependence - an extraterrestrial, symbiotic being. Blindly crawling out of the crater it had landed in, it detected the faint life within Rachel - out for some fresh air despite barely being able to walk. Finding Rachel, it bonded with her and immediately went about preventing further degradation of her condition and healing her, though not completely. To the complete surprise of her parents, the following day Rachel seemed barely ill, and by the day after that, despite her continued grey skin and red eyes, was back to normal. However, soon she lost control to the interdependent, who took her over completely and took off into the wilderness of Washington State.

For three years, Rachel and the interdependent wrestled with one another for control of their shared body, at points becoming a thing of legend among Washington State cryptid hunters. In the fourth year, Rachel finally gained regular dominance over the interdependence, and returned home, where she had been labelled a missing person for years. However, knowing she couldn't resume her normal life, she tried to explain what had happened to her parents, but the stress caused the interdependence to resurface. Nearly killing her parents, Rachel used what willpower she could exert to force herself to flee.

Making her way eastwards, she lived as a hermit, focusing on self-control and isolating the interdependence. Over the years, heading vaguely eastward, she eventually found herself - alone in her head, for the first time in a long time - at the border of New York State. Making her way towards the city at the center of the universe, she became aware that she was able to exert full influence over her powers.

She made her way to Utica, where she was taken in by a local Catholic priest who helped her rediscover her religious roots. Discussing with her the implications of her powers and her sickness, he helped develop her belief that her powers were a gift from god. She began her life as a vigilante - stealing money from criminals and turning them into the police, her activities were found out by her priest and mentor, who rebuked her stealing. Determined to make a living out of what she was doing, she left Utica and hitchhiked to New York City, where she kept up and intensified her activities as a vigilante.

She would go on to turn a criminal in and steal his apartment, living in there while generating revenue by stealing from criminals and turning them in. Ultimately, however, the guilt of her illegal and sinful actions began to weigh on her shoulders, and she began cultivating a professional relationship with a local professor of theology whom she had met at a coffee shop. Their friendship resulted in her being hired as a teaching assistant and Rachel developing romantic feelings for the professor. During this time, she toned down her vigilante "business" in favour of her legitimate job, and ultimately ceased her activities altogether. However, she found her new life not as complete, and still felt like she could do more for the world than just learn theology.

She secretly contacted TIAMA after this, and was shortly afterwards accepted as a full-fledged member.

Where must we go, we who wander this wasteland, in search for our better selves?
In Egypt's sandy silence, all alone,
Stands a gigantic Leg, which far off throws
The only shadow that the Desert knows:—
"I am great OZYMANDIAS," saith the stone,
"The King of Kings; this mighty City shows
"The wonders of my hand." The City's gone,
Nought but the Leg remaining to disclose
The site of this forgotten Babylon.

We wonder, and some Hunter may express
Wonder like ours, when thro' the wilderness
Where London stood, holding the Wolf in chace,
He meets some fragment huge, and stops to guess
What powerful but unrecorded race
Once dwelt in that annihilated place.

Both Accepted.

Gods Among Us Character Application

Character Description
    Name: Hannah Konig
    Aliases: Gauss
    Gender: Female
    Age: 23
    Appearance:
The visage of Hannah Konig is not one that bears much similarity to her mother beyond that of an evident athleticism, standing at 6'6 and close to 190 pounds, her physical form takes after her mother to a borderline identical degree outside of her hair and eye color. Ginger hair and a mass array of freckles hides the surprisingly abundant scar tissue on the woman.

The Type 7K Support Frame is a semi-powered armor with inbuilt magnets to aid in attracting and repelling projectiles. Initially a failed bid for a US Army exoskeleton, the suit Hannah wears has had it's power source removed in favour of being powered directly by Hannah.

Motivations
Goals: Successfully take up the mantle of responsibility left by her family.
Fears: Failing the city, it's people, and mankind.

Strengths and Weaknesses
Source of Power: Exposure to extra-dimensional energy, Dhampir.
    Powers :
    • Electromagnetic Manipulation: Hannah is in essence a biological supercapacitor. Not only have her neural tissues become superconducting, capable of reacting to and responding to outside stimuli within 50 milliseconds. As the day goes on her own metabolism is converted directly into electrical energy, which can then be discharged through means designated by Hannah, from bolts of lighting to sustained currents to recharge or power electrical devices. While this capacity for electricity is limited to a certain output rate, she can effectively recharge by interfacing with high current avenues of electricity, such as transformers or car batteries.
    • Dhampir: (See Vampires, Dhampir, and Ghouls) Peak punching force is close to the amount of energy exerted by a .50 BMG round, and lifting max is 5 tonnes. Not much of a runner, Hannah can rarely exceed 50 km/h.
    Abilities:
    • Warrior Child: Her parentage has been quite adamant in training her to defend herself without any form of weapon, ranging from Krav Maga to simple boxing, culminating in a fighting style her father named 'Planctae'. The same could be said with firearms and knives as well.
    • Polyglot: Tutelage from her father was not always in English. Nor was English the only language she was taught to begin with. From 3 to 14, she was taught English, German, Greek, French, Finnish, Russian and Norse and is considered fluent in these languages. Since her 16th birthday she has learned Arabic, Dari, and Minoan/Linear A from her father, and is to be considered acceptably fluent in these languages. She knows basics of Mandarin, Thai and Japanese as well, but cannot hold decent conversations.
    Equipment:
    • Type 5 Arc/Gauss Rifle: Essentially a dual purpose long range taser and coilgun designed alongside the Support Frame, it too was a bid for the US Army that failed due to energy requirements. It has since had those requirements removed thanks to Hannah's power. The arc fire mode loses effectiveness beyond 12 meters, and is capable of dropping a man to the floor with only minor burns. While the coilgun component fires a 2mm projectile at varying speeds from subsonic to mach 10 depending on power input.
    • Type 7K Support Frame: A self supporting power armor, the Support frame contains a number of rare earth electromagnets for the sole purpose of attracting and repelling projectiles and weapons. These projectiles almost always have to be moving slower than 1000m/s and generally need to be lighter than 500 grams. Ferric munitions are affected more so than non ferric munitions, but non ferric munitions can still be affected. Due to it's self supporting nature, it only takes the weight of itself, allowing it's user to move unencumbered by it's weight.
    Weaknesses:
  • Input/Output: Naturally, Hannah's body creates roughly 20 Megawatts a day. Due to her power, her body can safely sustain upwards of 1000 Megawatts of energy before her nervous system starts cooking and her body starts to break down from the sheer energy being absorbed. In the event of incredibly high amounts of electrical energy being absorbed, it will begin to naturally arc to nearby objects in an effort to ground, such as the ground itself, buildings or people, however this will still result in extensive burns.

Background:
    Job: Full Time TIAMA hero.
Legal Status: US Citizen, Legal hero.
Backstory: Born in 1999 to the legendary figures of Jager and One, Hannah has always been involved in some capacity with crime fighting and upholding national security. For the most part, her early childhood had missing parents, even her godfather had been absent for most of her childhood. Leaving the young child to seek her knowledge from her teachers when her nanny wasn't around. It wasn't until 2006 when her parents became much more active in her life, finally being the parents they wished to be when they had her.

A smart young woman, most of her middle and high school experience began to drift away from social endeavors and closer to that of the sciences and academics. Despite a somewhat rebellious nature she did maintain excellent marks in school and refrained from any notably illegal acts. However, it wasn't until about mid 2010 where she picked up where her parents always went, and exactly what it was she wanted in her life. With her parents now actively retired, she settled in her mind to pick up the mantle in any way she could. Soon after graduating with a scholarship.

Her tenure in post-secondary was exemplary, though not without issue. In 2018, an incident at the White Mountain Research Complex resulted in two deaths and multiple injuries. A teleportation experiment gone wrong due to nothing more than the Heisenberg Uncertainty. Herself, along with a good friend, Skye Cross were hospitalized, though for different reasons. Hannah was hospitalized due to excess levels of brain activity and neural conductivity. Her salt intake was incredulously high, and body fat was being rendered down and converted into myelin to protect her now superconducting nerves.

Within a week, her mere presence in a hospital was a risk to life, as her newfound powers started causing brownouts across the block whenever she came into contact with a lightswitch or appliance. her metabolism started skyrocketing as well as her body started producing electricity. She was released into her parent's custody, and thanks to their knowledge, and the knowledge of family friends, Hannah adjusted with a surprising ease and swiftness, and within the year signed on with TIAMA, and was donated equipment by Epoch LLC as a combined show of support, and apology for the mess that had surprisingly given her a better life.

Gonna keep an eye on this. First question though. Anyone with nature/plant based powers? Also are accidental supers a thing? Like the "Struck by lightning" deal?

Is there a character with technokinetic powers already?

How about lightning?

Gods Among Us Character Application

Character Description
    Name: Nicholas Clement Kravchuk
    Aliases: Insurgent
    Gender: Male
    Age: 33
    Appearance:
    His normal self.

    Image

When he is getting stuff done.
    Image

He usually appears as a man wearing a black trench coat, black cap with side flaps, and matching boots. The Insurgent always wears a grey cloth face mask to hide his identity.

Motivations
Goals: He aims to enact revenge on the organization that kidnapped and subjected him to painful experimentation. He also wants a more peaceful world for his future child.

Despite the circumstances in which he gained his powers, he considers them a gift from God to fight evil.
Fears: Communists, large dogs, and clowns.

He fears that his friends and loved ones will be targeted by the ones that abducted him.

Strengths and Weaknesses
Source of Power: Kidnapped and then experimented on.
    Powers :

Technokinesis: While Nicholas looks like a normal human at first glance, his hands and mind tell a different story. His technokinetic abilities vary in intensity and utility. Nicholas' initial ability is being able to take control of up to five individual articles of machinery within a radius of 10 meters, though he can extend the range of his ability, but it comes at the cost of losing control of one machine every ten meters. In addition to this, he also has the ability to hack into computers and their associated networks with chains of energy that emerge from his hands to "bond" with a computer within 10 meters. It takes a while to break encryption and firewalls, but given enough time, he will be able to break through and access the computer's associated network and files. With those he can override doors, lockdown facilities, and in extreme (lucky) cases, black out a city's power grid. However, his access will only last up to 30 minutes, and anything that he did that can be reversed will be.

Abilities: He is an excellent shot with pistols, and is a fair driver. Lastly, he is also kind of a tactician.
Equipment: He usually keeps two flying quadcopter drones armed with Colt AR 15s as companions. In combat situations, they are his initial armament. He also uses two Desert Eagles as sidearms.

After his tenure in Switzerland and official entry into TIAMA, he uses three new variants of drones interchangeably.

Maveth DRAKE: Improved versions of the drones utilized by the Insurgent. They were jointly developed by Shatalina Sergeyevna and Nicholas Kravchuk shortly before the latter's official entry into TIAMA.

Instead of the quadcopter configuration of the first DRAKEs, the Maveth variant has a pair of VTOL engines and another pair of jet engines, giving it far greater speed and maneuverability. It's armaments always include a taser shooter and a grappling hook launcher. However, their primary weaponry varies as the Maveth variant are modifiable just like their predecessors. These may include but are not limited to firearms, flamethrowers, and grenade launchers.

Sky Regent: A DRAKE variant that the Inventor created in the middle of his tenure inside TIAMA. It would be by far the largest and most heavily armed of the DRAKEs, as it sports twin miniguns and electrified cables.. In addition to this, it is capable of cloaking both its heat signature and visuals, needing only to drop its cloak when low on energy or when attacking. To top it off, it is about six feet long and possesses long range scanners that allows it to track targets across long distances. However, all of this extra hardware makes it the most expensive and slow moving of the DRAKEs.

A further upgraded and highly expensive version of the Sky Regent is equipped with a shockwave emitter powerful enough to knock down reinforced vault doors with repeated hits.

Observer: A DRAKE developed at the same time as the Sky Regent; it was designed purely for stealth and reconnaissance. Other than a top notch cloaking system, it also has powerful sensors capable of detecting heat and energy signatures in a basement or a bunker.

It possesses no weapons whatsoever, but it has a high speed propulsion system and one of the most effective cloaking technologies.
Weaknesses: He is vulnerable to sonic weapons and EMP bursts, as both of them disrupt his technokinetic abilities. He is also otherwise a normal human and can be killed with a sniper's bullet.

Background:
Job: IT Specialist at day, hacktivist at night.
Legal Status: The masked figure known as the Insurgent has a strange position in the law; while his activities and abilities can be viewed as potentially dangerous, he stops crime and anonymously alerts law enforcement to evil schemes before they happen. Nicholas Clement is just an ordinary person working at a telecom company with US citizenship... right?

    Backstory:

Nicholas Clement Kravchuk was born Nikolai Klymenty Kravchuk in Kiev, Ukraine. However, when he could barely walk, the Soviet Union collapsed, and in the wake of the economic devastation that its fall wrought upon its former republics, the Kravchuks emigrated to the United States, where they all naturalized to become US citizens.

He would grow up in rural Wisconsin, where his family lived a fairly comfortable life. Nicholas was a failure in love, and ended up as a broken hearted man with nothing but career in mind. He would later finish Information Technology in New York University, and it didn't take him long to be on track towards a promising life in the telecom industry. To top it all off, he finally had a lovelife.

However, one day, it happened. He was driving back to his home in Manhattan his car was rammed by two pickup trucks with very reinforced bumpers. They bore no seal, no logo. All that he knew that day was that they wanted him.

He woke up, strapped to a table. Machines tipped with needles and other curious instruments floated all around as silent men in lab coats hovered nearby, looking upon their test subject with indifference. He was an experiment. Nicholas does not know how long, only that it was long. He could still remember his own screams, begging the scientists to let him die as the pain surged through every nerve in his body. Hours, days, and weeks passed. He found his mind filled with numbers and a strange feeling of power; nothing felt right.

Indeed, there was no more pain, but he still remembered it all. Revenge filled his mind as he strained on his restraints.

Then, the machines with needles surged forth, not against him, but against the other men in the room. They screamed in agony as blades cut into their flesh. And he enjoyed the sight.

Wearing only a lab gown, he stepped out of the bed upon which he was made a guinea pig by those who sought to create Meta Humans and use them for their own nefarious purposes. He commanded the machines to break the doors, and the rest is history.

The day after that, the morning news reported an abandoned building destroyed by a cataclysmic explosion; cause is unknown.

Currently, TIAMA is searching for the identity of a vigilante hero in NYC, who goes by the name of "Insurgent". He seems to have power over technology and machinery and is apparently working alone. At least they know that they are in the same side...

Currently, TIAMA is searching for the identity of a vigilante hero in NYC, who goes by the name of "Insurgent". He seems to have power over technology and machinery and is apparently working alone. At least they know that they are in the same side...

Accepted.

Gods Among Us Character Application

Character Description
    Name: Alfred "Koruskant" Churchill
    Aliases: Agent Koruskant/Replicant
    Gender: Male
    Age: 32
    Appearance:
    Image

Motivations
Goals: Alfred aims to serve his country and intelligence agency as a metahuman agent. In addition, he believes that as he had sworn an oath to defend the defenseless and contain the dangerous, he will do just that.
    Fears: He fears heights.

Strengths and Weaknesses
    Source of Power: Genetic Mutation
    Powers :
Duplication: Alfred is able to create up to four duplicates of himself. He can then use them to overwhelm enemies by having them attack together. However, they are dependent on the original staying conscious in order to operate.

Alfred is able to telepathically command his duplicates without a spoken word and also possesses the ability to know what they are doing and where they are in real time. However, if one is killed, Alfred feels the duplicate's pain and can go into shock if it becomes too much to endure. They can only operate as far as 100 meters away from the original; they will disappear if they go further than that.

Cloak: Alfred is able to cloak himself from visual sensors. He cannot use this power while Duplication is active and can still be seen by thermal scanners and motion sensors. If he attacks, he needs to drop the cloaking.
    Abilities:
Marksman: Replicant is a trained shooter, and is accurate with most firearms.

Espionage: He is a trained agent of the CIA. He has been able to keep an excellent cover as a business owner in downtown Manhattan and is able to somewhat deduce the intentions of others just by the way they talk and move.

CQC: Replicant is adept at Krav Maga and Judo as per his training. He is also skilled at using melee weapons.
    Equipment:
Sleeper Gun: The pistol fires non-lethal bullets with heavy stopping power that break up under the subcutaneous tissue (or skin). From there, the bullets deliver a tiny amount of dendrotoxin, incapacitating the target long enough for them to be secured and without any harmful side effects in the process. Works primarily on ordinary humans.

Desert Eagle: Used both by him and his duplicates in combat situations.

Saber: A family heirloom. It's still sharp
    Weaknesses:
The original Alfred needs to remain conscious in order for the duplicates to operate. The fact that he feels every death can be exploited by ensuring that the methods of killing the duplicates are as painful as possible.

Background:
Job: CIA Agent (undercovers as a techn
Legal Status: He carries out the law.
Backstory: Alfred Churchill comes from a clan of soldiers and spies, who have been serving the United States as its defenders in the shadows for nearly seven decades. His father is a CIA agent just like him, while his mother is a schoolteacher. His father was often absent due to his missions, meaning that he was closer with his mother. However, when his dad did come home, he made sure to make the most out of the time that he had with his son. He was intelligent and rather gifted, though he liked copying people's things, much to his mother's chagrin.

He was 21 when his powers began to manifest. First, he saw two of himself in his room. The next day, four, and he couldn't see himself on the mirror for five hours. Due to his family's connections, he was personally escorted by his father to the CIA department that dealt with metahumans. Due to his father's high position, no attempt at experimentation was made. Instead, a metahuman agent named Hurricane mentored him. There, he was able to focus and control his power at will after a few years. It was after this that he announced his intention to be part of the organization as a field agent.

11 years later, he is in undercover duty in Manhattan. He was sent three years ago by the agency in partnership with TIAMA to keep watch on the one known as the Insurgent, whose identity was already known to the agency. His mission was to ascertain whether this man was on mankind's side. So far, he had only positive reports to send. Plus, this man wasn't just his mission anymore. He was his friend and neighbor.

Gods Among Us Character Application

Character Description
    Name: Robert Kravchuk Massoud
    Aliases: Shadowshock
    Gender: Male
    Age: 27
    Appearance:
    Image

Motivations
Goals: He is an advocate for exposing and rooting out corruption in governments. In addition, he also clings strongly to the ideals of justice and equity. However, he also wishes to destroy/lock up whoever subjected his good uncle, Nicholas, to cruel experiments.
    Fears: Above all, failure.

Strengths and Weaknesses
    Source of Power: Genetic Inheritance
    Powers :

Cloak of Shadow: Robert emits a passive field of darkness, shutting off all or select light sources within 20 meters at will. He can turn it on and off depending on the circumstances. He can still see in total darkness.

Density Shift: Shadowshock is able to manipulate his body's molecular density, making him capable of phasing through solid objects at will. Conversely, Shadowshock is also capable of making his body as durable as a steel wall. At maximum density, his weight becomes 1.5 tons with no inhibition to his speed.

Shockwave: In addition to manipulating his own density, he can also manipulate the vibration of air particles directly in front of his hands, allowing him to fire single directional concussive waves capable of sending a car flying several meters at maximum power. Usually, however, he uses non-lethal knock backs as repeated max powered blasts will make him fatigued very quickly.

    Abilities:
Writing: Robert is a very persuasive journalist and is rather good at evoking emotions through written words alone.

CQC: Shadowshock is adept at fighting multiple mundane enemies at once even without using his powers. This training was done in case enemies take advantage of his weakness.

    Equipment:
Stormclaw Gauntlets: Titanium alloy gauntlets made especially for him by the Insurgent. They can be used to grapple unto steep cliffs and reel in fleeing foes. In addition, the gauntlets are capable of discharging a adjustable stream of electricity into a target upon physical contact, which can range from simple tasing to a highly lethal electrocution.

Weaknesses: Sonic weapons disrupt his molecular integrity, causing him to revert to a normal density. In addition, there are a few substances he cannot phase through, namely titanium, chromium, radioactive elements, and organic material. Also, once he is heavily wounded, he cannot phase for a long time.

Background:
Job: He is a blogger that also happens to work full time in TIAMA.
Legal Status: Didn't have the best reputation in high school, but he is essentially clean.
Backstory: Robert Kravchuk Massoud is the eldest son of Katya Kravchuk and Nathaniel Massoud; he was born a few years after the Kravchuks had emigrated to the United States. While his matrilineal lineage had no metahuman DNA in it, his patrilineal lineage did. His father's clan were gifted in different ways; Nathaniel had extremely rapid reflexes that made him one of the best soldiers of the Army. He would later die in action in Iraq after trying to save his comrades from an IED; his death would cause Robert to be closer to his mother's younger brother, Nicholas.

His abilities manifested when he was 20; he instinctively saved a pregnant woman from a car crash by amping his density to block the vehicle from hitting her. However, his abilities caused many of his friends to be afraid of him, and soon, they left him. He became a social outcast right up until he graduated from college. When he began working, he tried to hide his abilities, only to be exposed when one of his former schoolmates entered the same company, who spread rumors of him being metahuman.

Frustrated, he left the company after three months. Everyone looked at him with fear, perhaps because he was never the kindest person back when he was younger. He was, in fact, kind of a bully; a thing that he regrets forever.

In 2017, Robert's uncle, Nicholas, was reported to be in the hospital where his mother worked as a doctor. Accordingly, Nicholas had some burns, presumably from the explosion that occurred just a few blocks away. After his recovery, Nicholas would go on to tell Robert that he was given abilities of technological control, though the price of pain and suffering was high. He said that he now knew what it felt like to have powers like his nephew.

At 25, he was approached by TIAMA recruiters, who offered him a job. He accepted, in the condition that he will anonymously publish a blog that essentially made the organisation look good and (factually) bashed its critics. It was accepted, somehow.

Gods Among Us Character Application

Character Description
    Name: Yuri Federov
    Aliases: Perkunos
    Gender: male
    Age: 26
Appearance: kind of like this but I am gonna change a few things https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/imag ... a&usqp=CAU as I said in the picture my character is gonna look kinda similar to that so let's get started: 182 centimeters tall, white hair, yellow eyes, he wears black track pants and hoodie, gloves and he wears a mask similar to what Aiden Pearce from watch dogs wears to hide his face.

Motivations
Goals: helping people, recognition and glory
Fears: hurting the people around him, failing, claustrophobic

Strengths and Weaknesses
    Source of Power: genetic mutation
Powers : Electrokinesis Yuri can control electricity in various ways such as electrical aura, electric discharge, electrical beam emission, lightning bolt projection, supercharge, electricity defense, lightning ball form and electronic disruption, he has come up for two of his techniques but the rest are unnamed.

lightning shield: Yuri can release and surround himself in around a 1 feet circle with electricity for defensive and/or offensive purposes, possibly becoming almost untouchable and granting them various abilities/attacks, Yuri can keep this up for at best 5 minutes but it will take a lot out of him.

Electroburst: Yuri can create a large amount of electricity and release it causing an explosion around him, he can use it to to create small explosions around him that are not big enough to kill him and do a big enough explosion big enough to destroy an area about the size of two NBA courts but it would also kill him in the process.

Electrobeam (Electrical beam emission): Yuri can gather a large amount of electricity in his hand, concentrate it and launch it as a beam, this technique's deadliness can depend upon how powerful it is, the more powerful the greater the range and lethality, Yuri can only power it up for 12 seconds any more the powered up electricity might burst and destroy his hand, the maximum range for this technique is 25 meters

Thunderball: named after a James bond movie this technique is a variant of the electrical beam beam except it is concentrated into a ball and launched at the enemy, the ball explodes on impact, since Yuri hasn't trained or refined this technique it might explode in his face, this technique isn't a beam but since it is the size of a volleyball, the maximum range of this technique is 20 meters, the time to power this up takes at least 20 seconds.

lightning shot: Yuri can create a lightning bolt and fire it from his hands, the differences between this and get electrical beam emission is that this is much faster to use as travels much faster, this lightning shot's intensity can be increased to kill people though it takes at least 5 seconds to power a shot up so it can kill people, most of the techniques powered up to kill completely destroys the target's body while this makes the the target's body presentable, a typical shot has a range of 20 meters.

Abilities: parkour, pickpocketing, mixed martial arts and he can cook some really good food since he is a chef
Equipment: he uses a long Escrima stick which can conduct electricity
Weaknesses: Users of Electrical Immunity are not affected, distance, force, precision, etc. depend upon the knowledge, skill, and strength of the user and their power's natural limits, may become useless if confronted with electrical resistant material, such as rubber, silicate, may have problems using electronics, may hurt allies around him by losing control of his power, may pass out or die after overworking his power, fear of spiders

Background:
    Job: Chef
Legal Status: only TIAMA knows his identity
Backstory: Yuri was born on January 21st 1994 at a small hospital in Vladivostok, his mother died giving birth to him, (actually died due to Yuri's metahuman ability) stricken with grief his father decided to leave Russia and settle in new York hoping to start a new life, Yuri was very close with his father since he was the only family Yuri had, Yuri's father taught him Russian and many other things about their homeland, Yuri's father was an NYPD officer, Yuri's father almost died during the night of the broken mask, soon after that Yuri discovered his own metahuman powers, his father did everything to hide it to protect his son during those troubling times.

At age 15 during his rebellious phase Yuri used to sneak out of school and pickpocket strangers then use his gains for his an his friend's entertainment another thing he liked to do was experiment with his powers, since Yuri's father was a busy man, Yuri most of the time could do whatever he wanted to do, he also played games but his sole healthy hobby was that he liked to cook and his father encouraged it, Yuri often made dinner and lunch.

In March 2nd 2017 when Yuri was coming to his apartment which he had lived in since he moved out in 2015 he was informed that his father was shot dead while confronting a thief in some alleyway, Yuri later tried to scrounge up all the information he could find out about said thief, one day Yuri tracked the thief down and killed the thief in the most painful way imaginable, for the next years he trained his powers and made various techniques inside a small abandoned garage in the city which was his hideout, he also did a lot of vigilante stuff in new York City, last month he came into contact with some TIAMA members and he agreed to join the organization going with the name "Perkunos".
