Distinguishing features of your nations' people?

Is there any major national traits that your people display?

Do they all seem to have a lisp? Is there a strange percentage of twins in your nation, or are your people generally more fertile?

It can be anything that distinguishes your people from other people.

Two full Subhurbian parents can produce a child with a different skin color, hair color, or even eye color from them. Though most people are brown, there are some with very dark skin as well as some with very light skin. Subhurbian families comprise of people of multiple different skin tones. In addition, skin tone and facial features don't really play a role in a person's ethnicity, let alone identity.

Another feature is their language. Their language bear similarities to RL dead languages, but because its a mixture of languages, they're hard by many to accurately translate.

Ivorians, descending from the first agricultural cultures of the world by a thousand years, have an average height of 6'0. They have also developed high cheekbones, a lanky frame and extremely dark skin, closer to a black than to a brown pigment

Andocarians all have ID chips on them inside. They also have health monitoring systems that notify medical service if there is a problem. Their fashion is clean, sophisticated, and advanced.

Historically, ethnic Radiatians could be distinguished by the fact that they had 'Asian' facial features but with blonde hair and blue eyes.

These days, while this still is prevalent in about half the population, due to immigration and race-mixing it's no longer the main way to tell someone is Radiatian - a much more reliable way is to look for the morbidly obese person with a cowboy hat and the Radiatian flag on a T-shirt complaining about "inefficiency" and how there's no Greasy Joe's nearby.

There are two distinguishing features to spotting a Shadowmancer: Jet Black Sclera, and almost always wearing predominantly-black clothing (with only one other color, usually one that's bright, saturated, simple and contrasts/compliments with black) with the Shadowmancer emblem (pictured on the Twilight Embassy's flag) worn somewhere relatively visible (such as on a watch, ring, necklace or badge, as a tattoo on the Shadowmancer's neck, back, arm or hand, or printed directly onto a t-shirt, coat or top).

Beyond that, Dark Star Tower's population is unsurprisingly diverse, considering it's a planet-sized space-station in a black hole with over 500 trillion people living in it.

Like, they protested the reinstated democratic government when they, under the guidance of the Empress who had been fighting for her powers to be quelled in the first place, finally put restrictions on her power, even if they weren't even enough to be counted as democratic.

Physically, almost all Deacarsi have brown hair, yet blue eyes are quite common, though there is a large diversity of eye color. Despite being a Celtic people, there are no recorded examples of red-headed Deacarsi, and blondes are fairly rare.

Culturally, Deacarsi are fiercely Catholic, conservative, traditional, and patriotic in the extreme.

DeVareans are a tall people - men average around 6'8", women around 6'2". Our skin, hair and eyes are all dark, which is relatively uncommon in our area of space, and we maintain a more "natural" aesthetic than many civilisations around us, having little in the way of obvious cybernetic enhancement. Additionally, we are known for our somewhat hedonistic attitudes, fun-loving natures and our wide use of colour in our clothing, accessories, architecture, etc

Jacrainese people also dress very colorfully, some even intricately dye their hair. Some are very classy in how they dress.

Kinnessians are among the fastest speakers in the world, with the general citizen able to clear about 300-450 words per minute. This is needed because of the large number of short and single-syllable words in the Kinnet language.

In comparison, the average speaking rate is 150 words per minute, with professional voice actors reaching 200-250 wpm.

[Bunkaiia]

Bunkaiians (BUNG-kay-yanz) are of East African, Malagasy and (Northern) Persian stock. It’s not unusual to see people with dark to light brown skin, Brown to green colored eyes and Epicanthic eye-folds.

The autonomous communities of Assyrians in Hashadooma, Malagasic Austronesians in the Doyan islands and Dravidian (Tulus) from Maleibidulu-Samberiti have all intermeshed slightly with the more Perso-Bantoids.

Culturally, Bunkaiians are religiously altruistic-hedonistic and may not consume or use animals or cause unnecessary damage to any living thing. Some exceptions to this rule are the martial arts and contact sports, stopping invasively destructive species (Which may include humans) and invertebrates. From Somalia, Persia, Southern India, Swahili Coast, and Madagascar, contact sports and martial arts are very popular to release the “tension”. Invertebrates like insects, gastropods, mollusks (Except: cephalopods!), crustaceans, honey and jellyfish Make up about 15% of the diet but are forbidden from being exported as making a profit from their is considered irresponsible (but not illegal).

Also marriages are illegal and not recognized. Sexual promiscuity is the norm and all children are primarily raised by community-run organizations. Showing extra live for one’s own child over another can get you a fine. To slow down population growth, only those coming from “endangered” backgrounds, uniquely beneficial or attractive traits, proving one’s academic prowess, or surviving the “The Pit of Abyss” maze challenge may apply for a breeding license. To show the world that you are legally and physically able and willing to breed, you wear a red piece of clothing, scented with special fragrant oils.

Non-breeding sex is actively encouraged though and homosexuality, BDSM and even incestual activities -as long as everyone is of age, gives consent and does not breed is even publicly done during some holidays.

All Bunkaiian national as soon as they reach the age of 12 receive a plot of land for their personal garden. Personal Gardens are used for all sorts of traditions and festivals, including surprise conjugal visits and growing of the endemic short-term-sterility-inducing pain-reducing hallucinogenic mushrooms. These mushrooms are even used by local dentists.

There are many distinguishing features of our people! Here are just a few:

Decepticons are giant sapient transforming war robots.

When our bodies get old enough to need a remotely frequent amount of repair, we mind-transfer to brand-new ones. The old ones may be kept as backups, but if we already have a backup or two, we will often sell the latest ex-body as scrap. This makes it so that someone you know might look completely different the next time you see him!

All Decepticon bodies can fly and transform.

There is a minimum specification for the design of Decepticon bodies. Those that don't meet or exceed it have to be fixed so that they do, or else get scrapped.

Violence is usually how we solve disputes. In the most upscale versions, this is done by dueling, with a set location and even rules. However, a plain old street brawl complete with live fire attacks will work just as well.

Due to the above, our culture has an extreme emphasis on personal and mental strength. Upgrades are the most commonly purchased category of things. This includes bodily upgrades, mind hardware upgrades, and even code patches. We are always looking for ways to build ourselves better and stronger so that we do not lose in fights.

If the government tries to arrest you (which it will typically only do if a death warrant has already been signed out on you), you are expected to fight to the death.

The gang is the basic social unit of Decepticon society. To us, banning gangs would be like banning families would be elsewhere. Unthinkable, and harmful to society, as well!

A Decepticon has far more trust in an open Mafia don than someone who claims that crime is "wrong." We know that the latter is surely up to far worse than the Mafia leader! In fact, we may blast the "crime is wrong" guy outright because he's surely a backstabbing piece of slag who wants to make us weak, and thereby make us easier prey for whatever he's up to.

Despite our corruption, we DO have honor, and it is very strong. It's just not what "law-bound" people would expect. The closest equivalent known to human nations is Omerta, which is the code of honor of the Italian Mafia.

We also have an honor code for war, pride, strength, upholding our nation and its values, etc., and stepping on it is a good way to get yourself killed.

[Paleoconservative Citizens]

Paleoconservatives are known to commonly speak Dominish, a language which originated in Dominioan. Though not an official language, roughly 60% of the population can speak and understand The Sladerstan's dialect of the language, as ARPC and The Sladerstan have open and shared borders with each others.

Paleoconservatives are known to walk in this manner: When walking next to someone, the hand closest to the other person is tucked inside their pocket, and their other arm freely swings. When walking alone, Paleconservatives will usually keep their hands behind their back.

There are a few different things, like their accent (a result of the Dominish language's influence), their strange, non-standard English (firen instead of sun, lunen instead of moon to name two common ones).

Their cold and rational character. Smiles, laughter, tears and cries of anguish are now all but distant memories for most of the people.

[Greenwichian Arcadia]

In general, Arcadians are more liberal- and social-minded, kind-hearted and, most notably, more sophisticated in terms of culture and science. Arcadians believe that education is important for finding out the laws of Nature, knowledge of which may bring prosperity both to you and your country and shield you from various biases affecting the decision making.

Given that some states have additional recognized languages, like French in Quebec, Spanish in Southwest, Cherokee in North Carolina/Kentucky/Tennessee et al., Arcadians are fairly knowledgeable in languages, despite the English's rise to the international status.

Arcadians are avowed secularists as well, with considerable numbers of militant atheists present yet slightly disapproved. The quasi-religious ideology of Naturolegism had managed to syncretize with Christianity and eventually undermine it, especially after some Christian fundamentalists had started to oppose vaccination. The Commonwealth of Arcadia can be called a post-Christian nation. Speaking of extra-clerical matters, Arcadians dislike psychics that claim to possess “supernatural abilities,” as these abilities hadn't been properly verified yet. In particular, they detest psychics who promise to cure cancer and other diseases with the touch of a hand.

As for sports, Arcadians love them. Basketball was still invented in this timeline, but hockey and lacrosse, both borrowed and adapted from various Native tribes, are more popular than in our timeline. Besides physical contact sports, there is a prominent community of mind sports as well, including board games (and chess), cyber-sports and intgaming, the latter being derived from a TV game show, The Path of Mind, and considered the Arcadian national pastime. The characteristic trait of intgaming questions is that they can be answered within one minute after the careful analysis of their content.

Despite being the first to invent and mass-produce the automobile, Arcadians got disappointed with its ubiquitous use, as it was leading to severe traffic congestion. The city of Livingston, CA, had tried to address the issue by constructing additional lanes, but it has disrupted the pedestrian commute, leading to more automobiles and more congestion. After the Livingston disaster, new Arcadian town plans were more focused on pedestrians, cyclists and public transit, giving a secondary role to the automobile.

Arcadians do live up to their name, expressing concerns about the environmental impact. The popular saying “We do not own the land, but merely lend it from our grandchildren” seems to be relatable to our people, which can be expressed in environmental studies conducted by many scientists, among which is James Planter, of Cherokee heritage, author of 8 papers published in peer-reviewed journals (h-index = 5).
