Our magnificent leader does not share his life with a conjunx. Even were he to do so,
such a union would result in neither a 'family' unit nor a dynastic line as we do not
increase our numbers using the typical organic methods.

Postby Sharulsi Khanate » Fri May 22, 2020 6:31 am

Yes, there is a Sharulsi Royalty, and as the name 'Sharulsi Khanate' should suggest, the Khans' Rule is still a thing. It starts with the foundation of the Grand Principality of Sharuls by Prince Ganzorig in 1251 and the founding of the Khanate by unification of the Sharulsi tribes into a tribal federation by Ganzorig's son Gantulga in 1277 and his rise as a Great Khan. The dynasty has since been known by 'the Ganzorigids'.
From Gantulga Khan's first conquests in the 1280s into the late 17th and 18th century, the Khaganate was an enormous empire, with Ganzorigids ruling over various territories subject to the Great Khans, such as the Saresside Ilkhanate, the Tangrusian Khanate, the Shamsiyyan Ilkhanates, the short-lived Dominion of Baruunaral in Shikonjima, the Khanate of Jönömnöd (Jeongnam), and various more. With the rise of Shikonjima as a colonial power and Unified Saressidia as a power on its own, the Sharulsi Empire gradually declined.
The Saresside branch of the Ganzorigids ruled until 1661, the Tangrusian tribal federation dissolved in 1730, the Jeongnamese branch ended in 1796. The Sharulsi domination in the Shamsiyyan fiefdoms under the Sultanate's rule managed to survive until the dissolution of the Sultanate and socialist takeover under General Nouri in 1942, whereupon the Ilkhanate's rulers sought refugee in the Sharulsi core territory.
Today, the Khanate is ruled by Atakheer Khan (*1965) and the Begs of the Aimags, the 'federal states' of the Khanate.
As Sharulsi rulers tended to be quite 'fertile' in history, especially during the Age of the Khaganate, an estimation in a 2001 study suggested, that 120 to 130 million people worldwide can trace their ancestry back to the Ganzorigids.

No, Lillorainen doesn't have a Royal Family, and aside from a few minor places like Sigurdsland, parts of Terra Bianca, or Fyleria, it doesn't really have a history of having a monarchy, since most historical Lillorainian states were either (republican) city-states, or rural republics with a system of peasants' self-administration. Therefore, Lillorainen has a strong republican tradition, which renders monarchism a non-issue.
Since Lillorainen's geography is currently being overhauled a 'tiny' bit, most information on it posted before December 12, 2018, is not entirely reliable anymore. Until there's a new, proper factfile, everything you might need to know can be found here. Thank you. #RetconOfDoom (Very late update, 2020/08/30 - it's still going on ...)

The Sauganash Union is officially a republic, but the country is very much dominated by a couple of wealthy, quasi-aristocratic families, and Directors (our head of state) have tended to come from those same families.
A nation founded in the early 1800s by Federalist immigrants from the United States. Has since developed an identity of its own and imperial ambitions. Now a neoliberal imperial power that justifies its aggression by putting it the name of tolerance and social justice.

The Mazdakian People's Noocracy of Bunkaiia is a 5-headed state nation with a very complex electoral system (each head of state must go through a different process to be elected/appointed, but none are monarchical in nature. The last king that the Bunkaiian ancestors had was Shahanshah Khosro I (530s), who tried to kill them for believing in Akhishiyanic-Mazdakism.

That being said, there four autonomous regions, one of The Doyan Islands still have various tribal affiliated mini-"kingdoms" and the Assyrian Nestorian Hashadooma region has a Theocratic-monarchical ruler, as in his religious role takes foremost importance over his earthly duties.

Bunkaiia has had trouble in the past as Bunkaiia tries to allow the autonomous regions to govern themselves, but they seem to be just simply an unruly bunch.

Although Shurdington is ruled by its Prince, the office is elective and so there is no royal family in the conventional sense. Nevertheless, in order to be eligible for election as Prince, a candidate must be related to one of the twelve semi-mythic dynasties (in Shurdingtoninan, 'foregengan', or 'forerunners') that were present at the first election in 992 AD. Further, only those who can prove their lineage back to one of those families (known as 'Aethlings') are eligible to vote for the Prince. Therefore, Shurdington does not have a royal family, but several royal families.

Yes. Southia is an absolute Monarchy ruled by the De Agramonte family.
The current King is Máximo I de Agramonte and the Queen-Consort is Rosa de Portobello. The Royal Couple has adopted a daughter named Sofía de Agramonte, who currently is the Princess of Purificación and the heir-presumptive to the throne of Southia.

We actually have 2, although they're purely ceremonial now. Voopmont was formed out of three nations, each with their own species, which gave way to multiple royal families. There's the Dagoran royal family and the Bowalian royal family. In Dagora the reigning monarch was the only one of the royalty who had any official power, handling the nation's foreign policy while the prime minister dealt with domestic affairs. In Bowalia the monarch handled both domestic affairs and foreign affairs, although a lot of power was delegated to regional authority.

Rome never had a formalized royal family; however, during the Empire many emperors successfully ensured their sons or other relatives would succeed them, creating informal dynasties. Following the Restoration of the Republic (Christian year 1758), there has been no such informal royalty or quasi monarchical institution like the Emperor.
