Serene Republic Carbon Credits – Get Them Today!

Annually, hundreds of gigatons of carbon are released into the Earth's atmosphere. This contributes to anthropogenic (or sapiogenic, for those of you whose nations have non-human citizens) climate change, which in turn contributes to many adverse events – changes in world temperature, extreme storms, draught – and, in the longer term, famine, war, and death. A substantial percentage of these emissions are either caused by developed nations, or by developing nations in the intermediate stages of industrialization, where economic growth has already been powerful enough to bring about thousands of mighty coal and oil-fired power plants and factories, but not yet robust enough to bring about proper environmental mitigation measures. We know – we've been there.

The costs of carbon pollution – social, environmental, and climatic – are vast. Experts suggest that they might be as high as $50 per each ton of carbon emitted. As such – it's quite reasonable for a nation, or an environmentally-responsible corporation, to want to clean up after itself, and resolve some of the problems that it has caused. This is especially important for companies in heavy industry,

As the nation's own name implies, a large proportion of the territory of the Serene Republic of the High Treefolk is forest – old growth forest, principally deciduous rainforest, but with some evergreen trees int the colder areas of the countries as well. In total, approximately 7 million square kilometers (or 1,729,737,670 acres if you're into acres) of the territory of the Serene Republic of the High Treefolk are covered by the very trees that are referenced in the nation's name. This allows the Serene Republic to sequester 4,324,344,175 metric tons of carbon per year.

However, protecting our trees costs money, and our country is still quite poorer than some of the others. We are faced with many challenges in the coming years – international terrorism, water conflicts, pollution, and poaching. To protect our trees and wildlife while maintaining a vibrant and growing economy – that takes effort. To be blunt, it takes cash.

And that is where you come in. Your nation. Your shipyards. Your airline. We are offering you a cooperation – a way for your organization to become carbon neutral at a far lower cost than the harm that the carbon would have done.

Our nation will sell carbon credits - only 25 New Dornalian dollars will be commensurate with the reclamation and storage – in the soil and trees – the equivalent of one metric ton of oil (MTOe, Metric Tons of Oil Equivalent) of atmospheric carbon. 95% of the money will be used for various efforts to benefit the trees and forests of the Serene Republic and develop more advanced methods of pollution mitigation and reduction.

All of those carbon credits are sold by the Clean Air Agency – the agency of the Serene Republic responsible for carbon credit sales. Because it is a government agency selling the credits, there's no need to pay separately for government agency certification (we are responsible for both the forests and the certification, making the process much simpler and cheaper) or for intermediate resellers – almost the entirety of the money goes directly to help the forests and the trees!

Or in other words – call us as soon as you can and sign a long-term cooperation deal to purchase carbon credits. We need you and you need us!

Note: We will not sign a contract to mitigate more than 1 gigaton MTOe/year with any given organization, as to not leave us dependent on any one partner. For short-term contracts, only limited amounts of MTOe are reserved (no more than 300 megaton MTOe per partner

Hello, Leader of High Treefolk! I'm President Sarah Huntington from Nikoland Piczi. Our nation has always been ecologically responsible and we believe that funding these projects is crucial in the fight against climate change. We know how important it is to carry out these environmental protection measures to mitigate human activities. That's why we decided to donate $12.5 million to the cause. Even though Nikoland Piczi does not need big interventions (since our energy is 100% renewable, the vehicles are electric (including airplanes, trains, cars, etc) and our citizens are very responsible (they participate with recycling of plastics, papers, metals, glass). In the same way we bet that the world will also have these habits. As I have read in the description of this publication and as it is public knowledge, everything costs money. The Nikopiczian economy is at its best and we wish to make this kind of economic aid to projects in other nations. That is why we are pleased to see that despite your economic difficulties you want to do the right thing. Congratulations!!! If you need anything else, just send me a message!

Best regards

President Sarah Huntington

Dear President Huntington!

Your message is not quite clear - are you purchasing $12.5 million worth of carbon credits on a one-time basis, or are you committing your nation to a long-term arrangement where you purchase this quantity of carbon credits per year?

I'm sorry if I didn't make myself clear. It is our nation's desire to purchase that amount of credit uninterruptedly for years to come. We commit at least for the next 10 years to keep the amount we have mentioned fixed and subject to increases if possible (in case we want to buy more, increase the agreed base figure). What we want to clarify is that the 500,000 credits per year are considered the minimum base of the 10-year agreement (this means that the Government has already approved the purchase of 5,000,000 credits for the amount of $125 million within the next 10 years).

Greetings!!

President Sarah Huntington

Keeping the World Spinning

As one of the world's absolute largest businesses, spanning tens of different industries, and as a company with a strong focus on environment conscience, we can been reviewing this opportunity, and have decided to partake in this on a short term contract as to try this out. While we do many things to off-set, and even put some of our businesses in a net-positive position, we see this as yet another route we can take to assist. We are willing to do the limit for short-term single-organization.

Name of organization: South High School (order placed by the Education Department of the State of Delaware)
Amount of carbon credits purchased per year (at $25/MToe): 2,500
We, the Board of Directors of the Department of Education of Delaware, and we, the school administration of South High School, of Wilmington, Delaware, wish to purchase 1,000 carbon credits per year, in order to hew to the Governor's recent commitment to meet the Paris Climate Accords' obligations. Although we would prefer to be able to negotiate on the terms of the current going rate for your carbon storage (at least until the Governor increases the tax rate for the Bank of America), your system of carbon capture and storage has been identified as the best way to adhere to the governor's policy directives. We may signal a willingness to increase the amount of carbon storage rented by the Education Department and/or the State of Delaware later on, as circumstances permit. In addition, this order is to trial out your system of storage and capture in one of our schools, and as such, we may increase the number of educational institutions participating in your system (of course, with commensurate increases in payment) if all goes well. Please feel free to contact us via telephone, by letter, or by scheduling an appointment in person at the Department's headquarters. Thank you.

Regards,
Kimmy Reston, Ph.D, Secretary of Education for the State of Delaware
Juan Torres, Principal of South High School
Stabskommisar Regan Hirsch, Student Leader of the Red Guard Brigade, South High (DE).
