The legendary Rainbow Vortex Black Hawk

We here in The Black Hawks are really keen on supporting every member of our region, and like to think we’re a big old loving family. We like to take this attitude into everything we do in and out of game, be it with our super cool raids or our funny moments in the regional Discord.
Today is the International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia, and we thought of no better way to celebrate than to do what we do best!
(That’s raiding by the way, just in case you weren’t sure because of all the other stuff we do super well like make memes and watch ATLA)

The Black Hawks Go Hiking
After many tiring days of quarantine, the hawks are quite stir-crazy. They'd love nothing more than a big ol' gathering with their friends, but they wait out the quarantine like obedient hawks they are. Luckily for them, their County has recently been made a yellow zone, and the hiking trails have reopened. Ecstatic to explore their newfound freedom, the hawks spread their wings and flew towards the mountains. Building safe campsites along the way, the hawks camped out in 56 regions on their way to the waterfalls, practicing social distancing along the way. Restlessness quenched, the hawks returned to the nest feeling rejuvenated and ready for the upcoming challenges. If you’d like to hike to beautiful waterfalls too, come join us!

This report might have been more fitting if the raiding party had been exclusively composed of a few hastily cobbled-together ex-Hawks, but oh well

Yeah, I get what you guys are going for, but can we avoid this shit in raid reports? There are people in this game right now where people close to them are incredibly ill. Poor taste honestly.

I think it's a bit over the top to put a moratorium regarding remarking about the quarantine that has become our daily life in raid reports. Are we all going to pretend we're not living in quarantine?

It's not as if Mira was making straight up COVID jokes, it just seems like a light-hearted report to me using current topic matter.

I recognize that there is sensitivity with the raid report relating to a real life situation going on that is impacting so many people. In this case, I see Mira simply articulating some friends getting together and engaging in outdoor activities via safe means. I am a little unsure of the level of reaction from that notion.

No-one was trying to turn this into a coronavirus discussion thread (save Tinhampton?) and having topical RL references in raid reports and regional news is entirely normal. As for being in bad taste - not really; I'm in agreement with Tim and Jakker.

The Black Hawks Battle The Time-Lord
Late Thursday evening, Steste hurriedly entered the nest, carrying alarming news. The massive ways of CTEs messing with updates were not just some coincidence, they were the work of a mad-genius, a "Time-lord" so to speak.

"He needs to be stopped!" Steste proclaims to the now growing crowd, "He's already canceled one major, any further disruptions and update might disappear forever!" Miravana and Varax Zwei glance at each other, knowing far too well the powerful disruption this Time-lord can cause. "So let's take the fight to him," Varax proclaims, as Miravana starts to write down battle plans. Frankreed gathers supplies and the excited group take off for the CTE Cliffs

The Time-Lord of CTEs

Arriving at the Cliffs, the hawks find the Time-lord waiting for them at the bottom, full grin. "I've been expecting you." The Time-lord proclaims, eerily confident. The hawks, unfazed, dive straight into update. Horrified by the attempts to normalize update, Time-lord grinds time to a halt, delaying the efforts of the hawks, and allowing fendas to appear through the time holes. The hawks hold steady, choosing when and where to attack the menacing Time-lord. Mid-battle Steste thinks up an ingenious plan, "The only way to speed up update is to speed it up ourselves!" Heading this advice, the hawks launch a frontal attack too fast for the large force of fendas to handle. Update speeds up, and so do the hawks, capturing multiple targets a minute. Bewildered, the Time-lord is forced back to his phone booth, at least until those second video people die off. With their 48 retrieved prizes, the hawks return to the nest victorious.

I assure you they will be tagged before next update, which is the earliest they could be detagged after the hit count. Battling the time-lord is no walk in the park, rest is needed afterward.
