The Sharifistani School of Fencing is a co-educational independent, international school in Sharifistan teaching fencing but also: Latin, Classical Arabic, Ancient Hebrew, Pashto and Ancient Greek (students must choose at least three) as well as military strategy, chess, philosophy, music,self-defence, religious studies and all the normal school subjects.
Entry age is 16-22.

It mostly charges fees of £95,000 per term but includes full scholarships for any pupils who are the orphaned children of servicemen and servicewomen of any recognised country (since 2014 these scholarships also applied
to the orphans of firefighters, military peacekeepers, law enforcement; rescue personnel etc.) as well as veterans themselves.
They also offer partial scholarships for students exceptionally talented in fencing.

They were two of the top youth fencers in Western Fardelshufflestein; consequently, they had to compete with one another to receive the accolades. Usually, he was the one who dominated, but sometimes she slipped through his defenses. He had the tendency to get complacent, especially if he had won several matches in a row, but then again, so did she. Many fencers did, she suspected. A humbling loss and sheer ambition were what fueled their post-loss fervor, however, and guaranteed a renewed ferocity the next time a fencer faced the opponent who had previously bested them.
Julia was patient. She knew she could wear down this particular opponent, Frank, given time. He eventually caved and let her win. or perhaps made a mistake. She still was not sure which. It was a quandary that filled her mind whenever she sparred with Frank.
Don't let him get to you. Focus. She had lost to him five times in a row. No way in heck would she let that number rise to six.

Estella is happy, bold and friendly, though and at times not very considerate of others emotions when she speaks her mind, though usually not out of any maliciousness, causing her to rub people the long way. Lucky for her (though usually unlucky for those who hold a grudge against Estella), her sister, Carissa, is extremely protective of her, regardless of how she gets into trouble.

If there was one thing Estella almost universally enjoyed, it wa# parties and partying and she didn't need much in the way of a reason to party to go to one.

Unfortunately for Estella, going to just any party often meant going to parties with people she wasn't on good terms with, one such person was sarah.

It wasn't that Estella hated Sarah, Estella usually had difficulty holding onto hatred of anyone, she just knew to avoid some people, ansarah was such a person.

Sarah was one of Estella's main rivals in the fencing circuit. Estella was a regional champion fencer and had shown much promise at the national levels. Sarah was of comparable, though distinctly inferior, skill to Estella and they clashed multiple times in tournaments.

It wasn't all too surprising that Estella would see Sarah here, this was a function put together by a syndicate of youth combat sports associations. It was also for this reason that Estella's sister, Carissa, was here, Carissa didn't enjoy parties all that much, but given that her younger sister was here and that she had an invite due to her status as a talented regional MMA fighter, estella was able to convince her to come, though she had yet to spot her.

Estella did, however, end up spotting Sarah, the slightly above average height brunette, when she approached her.

"Yuck." Said Sarah, a look of disgust on her face.

"That dress, it's so confused, shoddy and attention seeking." She said.

"It matches your personality." Finished Sarah, before she he walked away.

Estella was perfectly willing to ignore the comments and enjoy the rest of the night, were it not for the large, pale faced, young women in a form fitting black dress, (her sister) that soon approached her.

"Carissa, please, leave it be." Said Estella, in knowingly futile attempting to deter Carissa from what she was likely intending to do.

"Sis, you shouldn't let that slut talk to you like that, not without giving her what she has coming." Replied Carissa

"Why should I really care, Carissa? She's gone, she insulted me, she headed off, only you heard her apparently, guess you were lurking around, looking to see if someone slighted me. No real harm has been done, she just feels better about herself, you can just leave it be."

Carissa kept her eyes on Sarah's whereabouts, she as she approached a side door, she reached into her purse, before talking what appeared to be a disposable e-cigarette before heading out a side door.

"Stelly" began, Carissa, using her sister's nickname. "You know when you let someone screw without responding, they know they come back to do worse the next, even if this doesn't harm you, what comes next may"

"Cari" said Estella, using her own sister's nickname "I know what you're looking to do and it's ridiculous, you're still wearing that knee brace."

"It's fine, I'll be fine." Replied Carissa, again conscious of her healing knee.

Estella then watched as carissa pulled away and turned to head in the direction of Sarah.

"Cari"

"Yes, Stelly"

"Please be careful."

"I'm not gonna cripple her or anything"

"I don't mean that, well I do, I'd prefer you don't do this, even, but of nothing else, be careful"

Brief bio (optional): Carissa is in many ways the opposite of her sister. She's cold, mean, calculating and constantly spoiling for a fight. She was adopted by Estella's parents at a young age, leading to a certain insecurity that's also driven her to be highly protective of her sister.

Carissa watched as Sarah walked to a large garbage container to discard some trash from her smoking. Lucky for Carissa, the sound from the functioned washed out any sound from the alleyway travelling any significant distance.

Carissa walked over to Sarah to confront her.

"So, you're the one the girl who thought you'd get away with messing with my sister."

Carissa said as she got closer to Sarah, who, mistakenly, backed into a corner. Sarah happened to know enough about Carissia to know she wasn't likely looking for a chat.

Before an apology had a chance to leave the girl's mouth, Carissa's knuckles entered as she punched her square in the teeth. The truth was, she wasn't looking for an apology, she was looking for someone to fight and wasn't about to let that opportunity go to waste.

Sarah held her mouth in shock, she didn't lose any teeth, but the punch made her cut her own mouth with said teeth.

Carissa stood silently, in a fighting stance, as the young woman had one hand leaning on the brick alley wall and one holding her mouth

"You bitch!" spat Sarah. But Carissa stood in the dark unmoving, not saying a word.

Sarah looked around, Carissa had her cornered, she'd have ran, had she the chance, but carissa was blocking her path. The only way out was through Carissa, just as Carissa wanted it.

Sarah didn't bother to plead for Carissa to move, she knew that she wouldn't. So Sarah had one option, attack Carissa, hopefully knock her aside and run back into the function.

Sarah went to roundhouse kick to Carissia, who quickly held the leg between her left arm and torso, proceeding to grab the brunette's side and slamming her against the alley wall.

Sarah grunted in pain, only to do so again as carissa punched her in the kidney with her free hand.

Held against the wall, being battered by successive punches, Sarah was left with few options, so she spat at Carissa. She happened to hit her in the eye, and Carissa, ill advised, let up her punches and went to rub her eyes. Sarah used this opportunity to pull up her left leg, causing her to suddenly drop the ground and escape Carissa's grasp. Down there, as she noticed the a glint visible on carrpissa's metallic knee brace in the dim light, Sarah quickly kicked it.

Carissa let out a grunt of pain stumble back, which gave Sarah an opportunity to sweep her legs. Carissa fell backwards, and Sarah got back up, stomping on carissa's knee multiple times in an effort to keep her down.

The tactic worked better than Sarah would have assumed and in fact provided an opportunity for Sarah to escape, so she started walking away, leaving Carissa moaning and holding her knee.

But Sarah recognized that she wasn't likely to see Carissa this vulnerable again and it came to her how satisfying it would be to go back in and tell Estella that she knocked her brute of a sister out cold. So she turned back around and ran to kick carissa in the head.

This was a mistake, Carissa, deducing the brunette's intentions when she heard the sound of her sfeet rapidly approach her, prepared herself. When sarah got close enough, cariss quickly moved to she trip her, causing her to fall head first into the metal side of the nearby garbage container. She rolled on the ground holding her head, until sarah eventually settled, kneeling with her elbows propping her up as she held her head.

Carissa got up and walked over to Sarah. She dropped her left knee into the small of sarah's back to make sure she stayed down. Then, straddling over her, Carissa reached down and wrapped her arms around Sarah's neck in a choke hold and pulled her down on top of her, while wrapping her legs around her midsection.

She struggled a bit, but as soon as Sarah went limp, Carissa let go. Carissa didn't like resorting to submission holds, vastly preferring knockout punches and kicks, but with her injured knee she couldn't exactly pick and choose. Carissa then got up and dragged Sarah to the garbage bin before dumping her into it.

Carissa then tried cleaning herself off (this was why she normally wore dark colours, though she was partial to red boots) as much as she could before heading back inside.

She walked back in with a limp one would notice if they were paying close attention. As soon as she entered, Estella was there, partially relieved

"Please tell me you at least refrained from murdering her?" Estella said, half kidding, half concerned.

Carissa smiled. "Don't worry, I just put out the trash."

Character's appearances (optional): Tall, but noticeably shorter than her sister, jet black hair, pale complexion, greenish grey eyes. Broad shoulders and hips. Recognizably buff, though not ripped.

Other info (optional): Carrissa appears to be a sadist and derives pleasure from causing others physical pain (so she claims). Brief bio (optional): A member of the sober minority, Clark is quiet and will not say any more than he has to. He's smart enough to get into an academic scholarship, except his country has no organised educational system to administer said scholarship.
RP sample (optional): Beth was yelling at someone again, Clark stood behind her and tried to look small. He just had to get to his class, but Beth was causing a major delay. After the argument failed to clear up after a minute Clark darted out from behind Beth and made it to his class, breathing a sigh of relief not to been noticed.
Character's appearances (optional): Short, small, wears glasses, could blend into a crowd of two people.
