Canon Submission & Revision Form

Please use the form below for the submission and/or revision of historical canon. The DATE should be filled out as "Month Day, Year" (January 12, 2018). It is not necessary to fill out AD on years but it is necessary to fill out BC. When writing years in BC it is required to use a comma separating thousands (e.g. 12,000 BC) but this is not done with AD (e.g. 2018). The use of anything other than BC and AD will be replaced with BC and AD. The USERNAME field should be your username on this site. If you are listing multiple users then they are to be listed alphabetically (e.g. Layarteb, The Roman Star Republic). When listing NPCs the format is the nation's short form name and (NPC) following (e.g. Mexico (NPC)). Use as many lines as necessary. Be as specific as you can with dates. For dates in modern times, if it is possible, use the exact date. It is acceptable to use a range of dates. If you wish to denote broader time spans you can also use seasons. For winter, you are to use "Early Winter" if it is January - March or "Late Winter" if it is December. The seasons are Early/Late Winter, Spring, Summer, and Autumn. Please been consistent with your naming conventions. Do not use ambiguous references. For example, the Empire of Layarteb is often written as "the Empire." This should not be done as it is ambiguous. • May 18, 1835: [Chrinthanium] Emperor Feiyu initiates the Government Reforms which restrict the rights of the aristocracy to hold landed titles, opens voting to all male citizens 25 years of age or older, and allows ordinary citizens the right to stand for public office. The position of First Minister (later to become Prime Minister) is created to act as a civilian arbiter to the Emperor.
• August 1, 1835: [Chrinthanium] Under military protection, the first civilians are elected to local and regional government positions as the 'average citizen' finally partakes in open elections.
• March 14, 1867: [Chrinthanium] Legal voting age lowered to 18 for all male citizens
• January 1, 1870: [Chrinthanium] Emperor Feiyu grants Imperial ascent to the Succession Act of 1869 which disallows his son, Prince Changming, from ascending out of fear Changming will be an evil ruler. Later that evening, Changming will die under 'mysterious' circumstances. Prince Guozhi becomes heir apparent
• March 19, 1870: [Chrinthanium] Emperor Feiyu dies at 88 years of age after ruling for 70 years, 1 month, 3 days, the longest reign in Manchurian history. Guozhi ascends to the Imperial Throne at the age of 68.
• June 7, 1872: [Chrinthanium] EMperor Guozhi died at the age of 70, his son, Mengyao ascends to the throne at 49 years of age.
• November 12, 1888: [Chrinthanium] The Parliament Supremacy Act is granted Imperial Ascent essentially paving the way for the Civilian Government to handle the day-to-day affairs of the nation and relegating the Emperor to a figurehead position. The act also destroys the power of the landed gentry by abolishing the House of Aristocrats
• November 28,1888- August 29, 1894: [Chrinthanium] The Aristocrat's War (To be RP'd later)
• February 13, 1899: [Chrinthanium] Married women given the right to vote

Section 1: Canon to Add

Early History

• 985: [Skraelland] Blown off course while sailing for Grœnlend, the Íslendingur Bjarni Herjólfsson becomes the first European to sight the North American mainland.
  
• 999: [Skraelland] Eiríkr Þorvaldsson does not injure himself slipping from his horse, and is able to lead the expedition organised by his son Leifur Eiríksson to explore west of Grœnlend. They establish a timber camp in Newfoundland, the first permanent European settlement in the New World. Helluland, Markland and Vínland are discovered, though exactly what regions these names refer to remains a matter of scholarly dispute.
  
• 1004: [Skraelland] Eiríkr's last voyage. Leifur remains in Grœnlend, but his brother Þōrvaldr accompanies Eiríkr to further the explore the coast of 'Vínland'. While leading a foraging party, Þōrvaldr comes across a native encampment and kills its occupants. The Norse encampment soon begins to suffer reprise attacks. Thanks to Eiríkr's leadership, cooler heads prevail and with offerings of metals and cloth they are able to make peace with the natives. Eiríkr dies of an infected arrow wound soon after. Around this the time new arrivals from Grœnlend bring with them a disease, which fortunately kills Þōrvaldr before he is able to take vengeance and reignite hostilities.
  
• 1009: [Skraelland] Inspired by the success of the trading outposts established at Leifsbúðir and Eiríkshólar, Þorfinnr Þórðarson's leads the largest expedition to the new world yet, with four ships carrying livestock and almost 250 settlers. The settlement of Straumfjǫrð is established in Newfoundland, and trading increases with the natives, the Norse bartering milk, cloth and precious metals for furs, skins and meat.
  
• 1000-1300: [Skraelland] Newfoundland and the Labrador Peninsula are settled by successive waves of colonisation from Iceland and Greenland. There are many intermittent outbreaks of hostility with the Skrælings during the early years, but elsewhere trading relationships predominate, and Norsemen take native wives to cement agreements.
  
• 1300-1400: [Skraelland] With the decline and eventual desertion of Grœnlend, what limited contact there is between Norse America and Europe is finally lost. It is during this period that significant integration and assimilation between Norse and native culture begins. The rise of the North American civilisation of Layarteb also starts to encroach on Norse lands, and Vínlendingar settlements south of Labrador are abandoned.

They are engaged in a war against non-muslims in which they want to establish an Islamic State under Shariah law. The group have pledged allegiance to the Yemen based Al-Shams organization and have a positive relationship with the Al-Judhr in the form of accepting Al-Judhr Afghani foreign fighters into their ranks. The TJaF are led by Emir Dayan Abdiqadir who does so from Xinjiang while Emir Bekzhan Fomenkoev handles the groups activities in the East Kazakhstan Region.
