Some business costs are static. Rent, insurance, business rates, power bills, etc. Some of these can be helped by government intervention but not all.

And if the large-scale corporate landlords go bust, it will be bad for a lot of businesses.

Banks are willing to talk to a large-scale landlord.

Even then if business is mandated to be shutdown. Banks can be mandated to stop collecting bills for the pandemic. Leave the interest and a “reasonable” fee.

Their bills can be reduced or waived. You act like it's impossible, but lots of countries are already helping businesses stay afloat. It can be done, and is being done, no matter how badly you want to believe it's impossible.

Blaming China or Russia or North Korea doesn't stop the virus. When the cards are down and the virus is stopped we can blame anyone we want and make them pay. Right now, the job is to stop the virus. We need some better answers from China and other places where there is a lower rate of infection. I don't think we are getting the complete picture of how to fight the virus. I think there is so much politics that a cure and management are far off.

I think China is hiding some things about how the virus originated. These may be critical things about how the virus is treated. If it already was in a lab, there were probably already some protocols on how to handle it. We need to see how they got to zero in Wuhan and all the medical practices involved.

I think the only way to gradually start reopening the economy is by requiring all workers and customers to wash their hands, wear masks and follow social distancing rules until further notice, like I think and hope many Governors are doing.
