ODI World Trophy I – Signups


Welcome to signups for the inaugural GCF ODI World Trophy, the multiverse's first One Day International tournament under the GCF banner and the first since the days of the old World Cup.

Signups should be posted in this thread. For this first edition, Liventia will be the host nation and no host bids are being entertained. Please note: puppets will only be entered if needed to make up numbers. Please declare all puppet signups. There is a maximum of one puppet per user, and you must have previously entered a GCF event (either a World T20 or a Test season) to enter a puppet.

The signup deadline will be 16 May, two weeks from today, or when we hit 48 signups (whichever comes first).

As this is the first edition, no rankings will be used in scorination, only RP bonus. However, for seeding and group draw purposes only, a set of rankings combining the GCF Test and GCF T20 ranks will be used.

For the draw seedings, the formula that will be used will be Test rank position multiplied by T20 rank position, where in Tests Associate Members are ranked after Full Members and Affiliate Members are ranked after Associate Members. Inactive Test nations will use the rank of where they would otherwise be ranked (e.g. Mattijana in 2nd).

Any team with a rank in the T20 ranks but not the Test ranks will have their T20 rank multiplied by 22 (as there are 21 officially ranked Test nations). Any team with a Test rank but not a T20 rank will have their Test rank multiplied by one more than the lowest-ranked nation currently entered (that is currently 23, as the lowest-ranked T20 nation entered in this tournament is Ethane, ranked 22nd in T20s).

To repeat, no ranks will be used in scorination – these ranks are only being used for seeding and group draw purposes.
