The Cold War was a war that lasted from 1949 until the dawn of the new millenium, the crisis spanned multiple generations, decades, and conflicts that would culminate in the end of an era and the collapse of an ideology. However this time around things are a little different, unlike in our timeline where the world was shaped by men long dead, the new world order will be shaped by us. It is your time to take control of your country and lead your people. Ladies and Gentlemen, I welcome you to The Cold War RP.

Rules

• No Godmodding.
• Armies must be at most 10 percent of your population. It would depend on your policies and world events.
• Stay in the realm of realism.
• No unjustified war. This means that you must state your wargoal as well as having a reason in your declaration of war.
• Consider landscapes/geography and logistics.
• You can only have one nation (unless it is a puppet nation or a colony)
• If you win a war, you have the option to either annex their land, puppet their land, or annex some of their land and puppet the rest
• when a group wins a war all nations of the winning side must be part of the peace treaty process
• if you puppet a nation as a spoil of war the person who made the nation still is in charge of the nation, and can rebel against you (however most likely not for a long time)
• All equipment and weapons can only be created the date they were created in irl time no earlier
• you can control political parties in other peoples nations (with the consent of said nation)

Suspicions built up against the then President Emilio Aguinaldo, helping to raise tensions against the government until it eventually reached boiling point. The Japanese during World War 2 has launched an invasion against the Philippine Republic which the latter was forced to issue an armistice and declare war against the Allied Powers (though some guerrillas like the HUKBALAHAP continued to fight against the Japanese.) When the Allied Powers landed on the islands, the Philippine Republic was devastated and surrendered. Aid helped kick-start again the Philippine economy and is rapidly growing. HUKBALAHAP refuses to stop fighting and continues to war with government forces.

The country was shocked at the start of 1948 when Gandhiji was assassinated by a Hindu nationalist, ripping a hole through the young nation. Jawaharlal Nehru has been appointed as interim Prime Minister, with the majority of the public on his side and the first elections slated for 1952.

The nation's leaders, including B.R. Ambedkar, are in the process of finalizing the new nation's Constitution, set to be adopted by the end of the year. Meanwhile, other problems are brewing, with the Indian National Congress, the majority party in the government, promising to drastically reduce the poverty and caste-discrimination that has remained prominent in India since the start of British imperialist extraction and exploitation.

Some are dissatisfied. The main opposition party in Parliament is the Communist Party of India (CPI), the disorganized Soviet-admiring bloc that believes the Congress Party has ignored the will of the toiling masses. The CPI lacks stable leadership, but several radical wings are flourishing within the party with charismatic young leaders that threaten to take the reigns. Prime Minister Nehru, meanwhile, admires many of the Soviet Union's policies, but is a firm believer in liberal democratic processes. He is set on a foreign policy of Non-Alignment, a movement which he hopes to officially establish along with Egypt and Yugoslavia. However, most understand that he is inclined to provide soft support to the USSR.

For now, the main goal of Nehru's government is to unite the young country behind a common cause and a common law. A country as diverse as India, with multiple faiths, castes, socioeconomic classes, and political ideologies, is ripe for invasion and exploitation. Can the new nation achieve domestic unity while keeping the rising foreign influence of the Cold War in check?

The Soviet Union continues to support socialist nations and movements around the world in an effort to build up an ideological bloc, and this has gone so far as to give arms and advisors to the Greater Korean Republic during the 1947 War of the People's Liberation.

Its January 1st, 1949. The US is currently an NPC yes, and Berlin has happened the allies own the east, and the soviets own the west (but if someone claims Germany they can change history a little bit, but they're still needs to be the east-west partition)

Immediately elections were held, and the Austrian Hospice became the temporary house of government, donated by the Church, while a new set of government buildings was constructed on the Musara hill. In 1948 the government unveiled its modernization scheme, calling for a laxening of restrictions, and the establishment of many infrastructure projects across the country.

Therefore in 1947 the North Arabian Republic was created with its capital being placed in the central and defensible city of Jerusalem. Immediately elections were held, and the Austrian Hospice became the temporary house of government, donated by the Church, while a new set of government buildings was constructed on the Musara hill. In 1948 the government unveiled its modernization scheme, calling for a laxening of restrictions, and the establishment of many infrastructure projects across the country.
