"While the situation is uncertain, I welcome the passing of the tyrant Kim and I hope we eventually see a day where every dictatorial tyrant suffers a similar fate. Be it death by a botched surgery, an assassination, or a transfer of power, the less dictators we have on this planet the better we are. God speed to President Moon of the only legitimate Korean state, and god speed to all our neighbours in what might become a trying time for our region. We can't let tyranny win. Lest we forget the mistakes our country made under the dictator De Wit. We can not let the same tyrants that run China and North Korea take hold in Banduria."

"Order... while I will not lay down any smacks or smathers for the time being, I would remind members to be very cautious with rumours and hearsay, lest an honourable member break parliamentary convention and accuse another of lying. The discussion may carry on, however.

While we are in the process of selecting deputies, we are also still formalizing the submission process for bills. For now, I would ask that any draft legislation that has reached the requisite sponsors be submitted directly to my office (OOC: Telegram me). As there is currently no legislation I am aware of which has reached that mark, I will allow for open discussion at the present moment. I will introduce Parliamentary codes of conduct soon to formalize our standards in this reverent body."

"Mr. Speaker, I would like to congratulate you and wish Lord Krishna always be with you as you serve as the first Tamil speaker of this country. This not only represents a step forward for Tamils and Hindus in our country, but all minorities as a whole. We have now made a massive move forward in progress, and this esteemed parliament has rejected the subversive ideologies of Maoism and its kin.

As an MP of the Tamil People’s Party, and now with a speaker from our party, I would like to begin a push for Tamil to be formally recognized as a national language, and for Hinduism to be recognized as one of the country’s religions. Far too long have our people been underrepresented in the governing body of this country, but now with record number of Tamils in parliament, it is my honor to begin this movement for our people."

MP Aditya Sriraam, a Tamil from the UCP, took his seat at this parliamentary session, now that the first Tamil had been elected speaker.

Member of Parliament Jakob van der Hegel rose from his seat. "Mr. Speaker, firstly I would like to extent my sincere congratulations upon your election as Speaker of the House. Truly, a strong leadership is needed to bring the members of our honoured Parliament together, working for the best interests of Bandurians. I do hope that your election would bring about an era of more unity and inclusiveness, especially regarding minority populations, such as Tamils and Europeans."

"Secondly, I would like to say as my colleague Mr. Sri pointed out, a member of Parliament has explicitly bestowed North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un with the title "comrade". While I did not want to say anything about the news of Kim's well-being, as it has been largely just rumours fanned out by media, I objected to the use of term "comrade" by Mr. Lao-Tzu Lu. Anyone in their right mind would not support a regime that has disregarded human rights numerous times - much less calling a leader of such regime "comrade". This is embarassing and inappropriate, and in my opinion a treason. You should not be calling leaders of other countries like that, either communist, socialist, or democratic, whatever, Moreover, Banduria has experienced a period of dictatorship by De Wit, which is frankly, disastrous years to the Bandurian citizens. Where is your nationalism?"

MP Peng Rong rose to speak.

"I agree with the honorable van der Hegel in his characterization of the reign of terror invoked in North Korea, inflicted upon the people of the North Korean Peninsula in the name of Communism, Socialism, and secularism. A truly disgraceful government and now that their dictator may be near the end of his reign only reinforces the belief that these specters of evil will always end and fall. That democratic, capitalist, nationalist, and rich culture will always prevail no matter the attempts to sequester and stomp them out. And while I welcome the new Speaker, I would remind everyone the conservation of Banduri culture is paramount especially as our own country's elites seems eager to turn away from our culture to the same secular communists as in North Korea. Let us remain steadfast in invoking our Banduri cultural heritage, our Banduri sense of self, and most importantly, in invoking that this is our Banduri for true Banduris.

"Mr. Speaker," Yu began, "I cannot help but agree with what my honorable colleagues have been saying. To call a dictator, a murderer, a totalitarian, a comrade of all words is does not befit the stature of the office that the Honorable Member holds, nor does it benefit the dignity of the Honorable Member's person. Instead of division and discord, let us stand for democracy and the self-determination of all peoples."

"If the Honorable Member cares so much about being addressed properly, perhaps we should all call him what he is, a communist and comrade to the North Korean dictator. Being bothered by a point of order while ignoring your comments made in poor taste shows your priorities. So perhaps in the future the Honorable Member will be more aware when he asks people to address him by his proper title. As if that's what his constituency elected him for!"

The leader of the NBF sat down.

Noticing the glare, the leader of the NBF rises.

"Please allow the Honorable Member to speak his mind, to make it known exactly what this deliberative body and the Banduri people think of Communists. That their tyranny and attempts at tyranny will simply not be accepted. And the attempt by the Honorable Member Cheung to silence her fellow Banduri when he speaks of the truth of the communist shows how even among our parties and alliances that call themselves moderates, there are elements like the Honorable Member who seek to silence the truth and not antagonize the communists. I would gladly ask the Honorable Member Cheung to allow her fellow statesmen, the Honorable Member Sri, to speak his truth lest she too is an appeaser of the Communist and secular cause!"

Believing her misgendering of the NBF leader to be an honest mistake, Peng Rong decides to finish her rebuke quickly.

"Mister Speaker, we mustn't censor democracy and a difference of opinion either. And if the Honorable Member doesn't believe in allowing her party members to do anything more than to regurgitate the party line, that is not our democracy, that is the system of China and other communists! So it appears the Honorable Member has already stooped to the level of our enemies and is ready to do the same to keep her party in line!"
