Hakone was a (roughly) twenty-strong region that appeared to have a bright future ahead of it, and I am thoroughly surprised that it appears to have been subsumed into the ACS after about four weeks without any on-site evidence (not even a tag raid) that this move was agreed upon by both parties. It also had a strong/consistent cherry-blossom-pink colour scheme, which is nice - if not beautiful.

How and why was this decision taken? And will PM Klyjanoragh's grant of Eultath be transferred to the ACS?

This doesn't sound like the Egyptosian I remember, but thank you for the clarification. Is there any reason as to why Hakone, rather than ACS, had to give way - or is ACS simply bigger/more esteemed/more functional?

I haven't seen any reason for a merger with the ACS - just that someone from the ACS found a reddit.com/r/NationStates post advertising Hakone made by Emperor Colfes, and Egyptosian asked if we (Hakone and ACS) could merge our regions without asking anyone else first.

Why did Colfes think it a good idea to approve the "merger," which the Discord chat does not seem to show him doing? Are these your full and undiluted logs or are you skipping out a few important details?

As Delegate/Founder of Eastern Europe, the fourth earliest region you created embassies with (for what it's worth), we are saddened by Hakone's absorption - let's not call it a merger.

I agree with Tinhampton's sentiments. Hakone had a relaxing colour scheme and appeared to be quaint respite inspired by a scenic area of Japan. Not all regions have to be large to have a purpose.

It is also incredibly jarring to see it merged into a overtly political region. Not an issue in itself, but it seemed to be a very different region than Hakone.
