Sylva Čérny comes out of self-quarantine to lead the storming of the Constituent Assembly building in Jugac by ex-North Baggnagian troops on mutiny

JUGAC, BAGGNAGIA – Ex-North Baggnagian armed forces are in capital Jugac and they are planning to take over the building where the Constituent Assembly of Baggnagia is based. Leading them on this is none other than Sylva Čérny (Leader of Socialist Bloc party, Leader of the Pro-Democracy March movement, Candidate for President). She has come out of self-quarantine over the Novell Virus to take charge. Sylva Čérny’s father Karel Čérny (Founder and ex-Leader of the Socialist Bloc party), Socialist Bloc party supporters, personal supporters of Sylva Čérny: all have also come out of quarantine into the streets of Jugac. Everyone has come out flying red flags as symbols of socialism. Sylva Čérny and her allies have formally declared their joining of the rebelling soldiers in their mutiny. It had started out as solidarity of the Socialist Bloc (also Pro-Democracy March movement) with the rebelling troops on mutiny. But it did not take long for it to grow into an anti-government revolt.

Sylva Čérny has called upon her allies and supporters together with the mutiny soldiers to storm the building where the Constituent Assembly of Baggnagia is. She called for the Socialist Revolution or the April Revolution in Baggnagia which she thinks is at the hand’s reach. After a duration of time filled with gatherings, slogans and “soap box speeches” or speeches on top of automobiles or whatever platform Čérny made a call to “take” the Constituent Assembly building. The crowd is now moving towards it together with the rebelling soldiers on mutiny. Constituent Assembly is increasing security outside until the proper authorities can get on location. It doesn’t seem like there might be a lot of time left before the assault on the Constituent Assembly building will happen. And with military officers being part of this assault it’s hard to imagine how the authorities or even building security could resist it.

We are now observing a mixed civilian–military crowd carrying red flags making a move onto the Constituent Assembly of Baggnagia building. The only forces expected to counter them right now are either the building security or the incoming authorities. If their combined strength would even be enough. The rest of the nation appears to still be abiding by the quarantine and nobody is coming outside to possibly defend the Constituent Assembly. There’s also the possible fact of Baggnagians being caught off-guard by this or being intimidated by the rebelling military that’s participating in the advance. Things could turn bloody if anybody tries to stand in the way of this stampede. There’s no other way to put it. Unless there is still military that doesn’t support the mutiny (like the actual Baggnagian Protection Army) who could intervene to stop this it doesn’t seem like anything’s standing in the way of these people. Even if the Baggnagian Protection Army does intervene things will probably turn bloody and could be a prelude to a civil war. What’s going to happen?

Meeting Of New Vesvai And SOWEFTA To Happen Soon

New Vesvai’s Prime Minister Adi Letago announced to New Vesvai’s Parliament that his government has been for the most part able to arrange a meeting of New Vesvai and SOWEFTA. That’s the meeting which New Vesvai is putting a lot of hope into as the moment when the nation can become an associate member of SOWEFTA like it is of MDAA now. New Vesvai’s government asked the Sunrisian government to arrange such a meeting after the success with the MDAA summit in Sunrisia. But Sunrisia turned the request down because their nation is dealing with the virus problem right now. It has forced Sunrisia to close its borders and also restrict movement inside the borders. So Sunrisia said it wouldn’t be able to host a meeting of SOWEFTA and New Vesvai. But it promised to ask Creperia if that nation could do the honors. Since Sunrisia hasn’t let New Vesvai down before the Letago government is confident that this will happen. Even if the Parliament with the Prime Minister’s own party in the governing majority and especially the opposition are skeptical Letago plans to prove them wrong.

But New Vesvai will also not wait for Sunrisia to do all the work. The Letago-headed government will put in effort too. New Vesvai’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be reaching out to the governments of SOWEFTA members to rally support for New Vesvai’s associate membership in the trade bloc. Sunrisia already seems to be on board so the important thing will be to achieve the backing of other members. What’s promising is that those same nations backed New Vesvai’s associate membership in MDAA. That gives hope they will back New Vesvai’s associate membership in SOWEFTA too. Of course it’s early to tell. MDAA’s a military bloc whereas SOWEFTA is a trade bloc. Nations in the MDAA/SOWEFTA camp are notorious for being nationalistic and protectionist when it comes to entering free trade with anybody or accepting deeper integration. But PM Adi Letago promised to bring SOWEFTA associate membership for New Vesvai to reality too as one of the current pursuits of New Vesvai’s Silver Revolution when New Vesvai became Corentia-oriented and MDAA/SOWEFTA-oriented.

Constituent Assembly expelled from power, Sylva Čérny declared President, Socialist Bloc declared governing party in Parliament

JUGAC, BAGGNAGIA – Good evening. To our viewers we are bringing this report of today’s events in capital Jugac with our network under the protection of our brave military. The Constituent Assembly of Baggnagia has been overthrown in the storming of the building where the provisional government was based. Soldiers on mutiny (who partook in the storming of the Constituent Assembly building) forced members of the Constituent Assembly out of the building at gunpoint. Nobody was killed or severely hurt in this assault on the Constituent Assembly. Some security personnel got injured and so did some officers of the Jugac police. But they were soon talked to by the military officers who partook in this storming of the Constituent Assembly building.

With the Constituent Assembly fleeing the building was left up to those in control of the situation to take over the power vacuum. And that was done by members of the Socialist Bloc party who led the taking of the Constituent Assembly. Being the only ones physically present Socialist Bloc members took over seats at the hall and the position of the chairperson. They voted to remove the Constituent Assembly from power as a provisional government and to restore a “normal” government in Baggnagia. The Presidency and the Chamber of Deputies were once again declared by the Socialist Bloc as the reactivated two essential parts of the Baggnagian government. That is according to the constitution adopted at a recent referendum. Socialist Bloc declared itself the governing party with a majority in the Chamber of Deputies. The leader of today’s Socialist Revolution (also called April Revolution) or vise versa: Sylva Čérny (also Leader of the Socialist Bloc part and the Pro-Democracy March movement) has been declared President of Baggnagia by the Socialist Bloc’s parliamentary vote.

The new government declared it would proceed with forming a new cabinet next. They are also going to ensure a quick return of stability to Baggnagia with this overturn of power. The building formerly inhabited by the Constituent Assembly of Baggnagia is now under the protection of Baggnagian soldiers (majority of whom were in the armed forces of the ex-state of North Baggnagia). They had participated in the taking of the Constituent Assembly building. That building is where the new government will temporarily be operating from before the Presidency and the Chamber of Deputies can go their own ways. Thank you for your attention, dear viewers. Sunrisia Promises Repercussions Against The Forces Responsible For Coup In The Recently-Reunified And Stabilized Baggnagia

State Of Emergency (Quarantine): Day 5 (Going into Day 6)

Soon after the RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 Virus forced the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia to evacuated first its’ humanitarians and later the ACREFOR peacekeepers and pretty much all military forces of Sunrisia from Baggnagia, in addition to closing our bases in that country, Baggnagia quickly bounced back into a reversal from its’ democratic course. The service personnel from the armed forces of the former sovereign state of North Baggnagia, the surrendering side of the Baggnagian War, have staged a mutiny in refusal to further disarm and join the armed forces of reunified Baggnagia. Initially the process was going well under the military governments of North Baggnagia and South Baggnagia, and also the single military government of Baggnagia post-reunification. However, after the Military Council of Baggnagia transferred power over to the Constituent Assembly of Baggnagia as a provisional government, the process began failing. The Constituent Assembly did not have time to consolidate its’ power yet as a provisional government and the soldiers from the armed forces of the former North Baggnagia were not intimated by it as they were by the military governments of North Baggnagia and South Baggnagia, as well as by the single Baggnagian military government of the reunified state in a form of the Military Council of Baggnagia. The soldiers apparently used the lose grip of weaker and freshly arrived provisional government to stage what began as a mutiny. These troops had suddenly started taking over cities in Baggnagia, releasing soldiers of the former North Baggnagia from prisons, reaching cities like Silcenda and Neodvisni, and calling for a nationwide military mutiny in Baggnagia. With Baggnagia being under lockdown and quarantine over the virus, the country is eerily deserted, so the mutiny military forces had not obstacles to do what they want and advance south towards the capital Jugac. That is where they soon appeared.

This situation was used by Sylva Čérny, the head of the Socialist Bloc (SB) party in Baggnagia and daughter of Karel Čérny, the founder and first head of that same Socialist Bloc (SB) party. Although initially a figure of ambiguous reputation and trustworthiness here in Sunrisia, Sylva Čérny was also the leader of the nationwide pro-democracy protests against the Congress of National Sovereignty of South Baggnagia prior to reunification and before going into self-exile abroad, where she had kept contact with her supporters from. After returning to the former South Baggnagia, she continued leading the Pro-Democracy March movement against the Military Council of South Baggnagia and also called for a pro-democracy uprising in North Baggnagia and South Baggnagia, since both countries had voted in a joint referendum to reunify by that point. Although still a morally-ambiguous figure with suspicious populist goals causing questions of her true motivations, the declared pro-democracy stance of Sylva Čérny has caused some sympathies to develop towards her romanticized figure here in Sunrisia. She even declared her candidacy for President of Baggnagia in the first free and fair joint elections in Baggnagia since reunification. The same election that was announced alongside the parliamentary election, where Čérny’s Socialist Bloc (SB) party would have also competed, that were announced by the Constituent Assembly of Baggnagia. However, it did not take long for the entire ambiguity about Sylva Čérny’s character to “go out the window.” As soon as the crisis and a military rebellion hit Baggnagia under the tenure of a weaker provisional government, the opportunistic and some might even say “Machiavellian” Sylva Čérny showed her true colors. And it was not just red.

Sylva Čérny left her self-quarantine at home, risking her health, to assemble her party members and the supporters of her party in order to join the protest in solidarity with soldiers engaged in a mutiny outside the Constituent Assembly building. At first they were reportedly peaceful protests, but soon Sylva Čérny assembled all the forces to jointly launch an assault on the Constituent Assembly. With building security being no match for the forces on the other side, law enforcement not yet in place, and streets empty over the quarantine, the Čérny-led forces “took” the Constituent Assembly building. The provisional government was kicked, the Socialist Bloc (SB) party members took over the vacant seats and declared their party the ruling party in Baggnagia, leading the country’s parliament. Sylva Čérny, as the leader of this overthrow, was “crowned” President of Baggnagia. She is no longer a candidate for President in what would have been a democratic election, but has just blatantly become the self-proclaimed President by the vote of her own party. Socialist Bloc (SB) party will not have to compete in a fair and free parliamentary election, since they have blatantly declared themselves the ruling party in Baggnagia. The occupied building, which hosted the ousted Constituent Assembly, remains under the protection of mutiny military forces. The situation in Baggnagia was reported by the country’s largest BBS News Network, which was apparently also occupied by the mutiny military forces, as the anchors were making the announcement of the change of power in their country.

Self-proclaimed President Sylva Čérny has called this seizure of power a “Socialist Revolution”, which is also now being referred to as the April Revolution. Minister of International Relations of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Vénî Adsécĕr has come out in condemnation of what was essentially a coup and not a revolution in Baggnagia. The Minister promised repercussions from the Sunrisian side towards the forces behind this seizure of power “in a country that has just been robbed of a democratic future”, in the Minister’s own words.

Liavon Jakavienka II becomes Speaker, Vítezslav Mattner named Prime Minister, new cabinet under formation, Lt. General Radoslav Meier and Divisional General Zbynek Fiala arrested

JUGAC, BAGGNAGIA – The Democratic Republic of Baggnagia has selected its new President of the Council of Ministers, Chairman and most senior member of the cabinet. By recommendation of President Sylva Čérny a respected member of the Socialist Bloc (SB) party Vítezslav Mattner has been voted into office by the Chamber of Deputies of the Democratic Republic of Baggnagia. The government’s next step with the cooperation from President and Prime Minister will be to form the new cabinet. The process has already been launched.

Earlier that selecting the chairperson of the cabinet the parliament had to select its own chairperson. That is where Liavon Jakavienka II (also a respected member of the Socialist Bloc (SB) party) comes in. He has been elected President (Speaker) of the Chamber of Deputies of the Democratic Republic of Baggnagia. Liavon Jakavienka II has an interesting biography. He is an ethnic Aphiseptenite, a Northern Slavic and Ruthenian people originally hailing from North-Western Ophion and North-Eastern Ventismar. Liavon Jakavienka II is the son of the only life-long President of a now-extinct short-lived Aphiseptenite state: The Republic of Aphisepten. Although Baggnagia is a nation that uses the Latin script and is predomintantly Christian Protestant Liavon Jakavienka II has kept his Aphiseptenite cultural roots. He prefers to use Cyrillic over Latin and identifies as Orthodox.

To prevent a counter-revolution and a possible civil war the socialist government is already taking action. President Sylva Čérny ordered the arrest of Lt. General Radoslav Meier and Divisional General Zbynek Fiala as possible leaders who might led the half of the Baggnagian armed forces that have not joined the mutiny and might function as counter-revolutionary forces. The President also ordered a crackdown through detainment of all forces that may be armed and threaten the Socialist Revolution. The rest are encouraged to peacefully surrender and join the Baggnagian People’s Army (which will now be the official name of the nation’s military instead of the Baggnagian Protection Army).

Sunrisia Unilaterally Withdraws From Trade Deal And Military Alliance With Baggnagia: Sanctions Imposed Against Self-Proclaimed Coup Government

Dîlectên administration and the Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia have coordinated their actions in formulating a promised Sunrisian response against the occurrences that had taken place in Baggnagia, shortly after the forced Sunrisian withdrawal and evacuation over the RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 Virus. This is of course a reference to the coup d'état carried out by Baggnagia’s Socialist Bloc (SB) party members, supporters of the party, and military dissidents, who have staged a mutiny over their refusal to disarm and integrate into the country’s official armed forces. Most, if not all, of these military dissidents or military rebels were reported to be former soldiers of the armed forces of the former sovereign state of North Baggnagia. The coup d'état was led by the leader of Baggnagia’s Socialist Bloc (SB) party Sylva Čérny, who is or was also the leader of the Pro-Democracy March, a movement with an ambitious, but mostly misleading title as now can be seen. The armed seizure of power by storming the building, where the provisional government of the Constituent Assembly of Baggnagia was based, also happened in the conditions of the quarantine, when Baggnagian streets are not seeing much life or movement to say the least and thus the coup plotters saw perfect conditions and an opportunity to conduct their scheme without the fear of much resistance. After overthrowing the Constituent Assembly, Sylva Čérny was proclaimed President of Baggnagia, the Socialist Bloc (SB) party was declared the ruling party and they have now moved onto forming their own unelected socialist government consisting only of the SB party members. No talk of at least a temporary takeover or carrying out elections anyway, even sham elections, has come out so far. It resembles an iron-clad takeover of power by the Socialist Bloc (SB) in Baggnagia. Today, self-proclaimed President Sylva Čérny ordered the arrest of Lieutenant General Radoslav Meier and Divisional General Zbynek Fiala, 2 military leaders who helped bring about the reunification of North and South, whom Čérny’s coup government perceives as potential leaders of the “counter-revolutionary” resistance and who may lead the undoing of the coup d'état.

Today, the Convet voted on a legislation introducing individual sanctions against the self-proclaimed coup government of Baggnagia and those associated with it. The sanctions list includes self-proclaimed President Sylva Čérny, her father Karel Čérny, and other known members of the Socialist Bloc (SB) party or their allies in this coup d'état, including against those among the military, who had declared the initial mutiny. The sanctions list will be extended to include those figures that have come to prominence only today, such as the declared Prime Minister of Baggnagia Vítezslav Mattner and the declared President (Speaker) of the Chamber of Deputies of Baggnagia Liavon Jakavienka II, who is also the son of the infamous Liavon Jakavienka, the autocrat President of the former sovereign state of the Aphisepten Republic.

Convet Speaker Flórên Infána has stated:

“I would like to refrain from personal opinions, but I cannot really help myself in this case. It is very cynical, to say the least, to carry out such a scheme like this coup d'état, when your country is in the middle of a virus epidemic and there are 20 people in your country sick with this virus. We did not introduce sanctions against the Baggnagian state, because we do not want to contribute to depleting it. In the same motivation as with Belantica, we think that Baggnagia also needs access to all resources possible and as least pressure as possible, in order for its’ healthcare system to beat the virus. However, we will and are introducing all sanctions possible against individuals behind this coup d'état, who are destroying their country in the middle of a virus epidemic and are destroying their country’s chance at long-awaited liberty so soon after their people have finally reunified after a prolonged period of partition.”

President Addél Dîlectên will sign the Convet-approved sanctions into law, in order for them to go into force. Meanwhile, Minister of International Relations of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Vénî Adsécĕr announced that Sunrisia would be unilaterally terminating its’ trade agreement and military alliance with Baggnagia. Sunrisia would be unilaterally exiting the Baggnagia–Sunrisia Productive Economic Exchange Agreement and severing the Mutual Defense Treaty (Sunrisia–Baggnagia). In addition, the Minister reminded that there are still Sunrisian military doctors in Baggnagia helping with the fight against the RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 Virus in that country, however, with the rapid change in the situation and authority in Baggnagia, their security may now come under question, which is why the Sunrisian government will have to demand for their security to be ensured or ensure it itself. Sunrisia “ensuring security itself” could actually mean anything, but the government has not elaborated on that so far, which is why the media will need to demand answers more insistently.

First RETRIT/PVAX Cases Reach the Mainland, Currently "Under Control;" Imperial Government Denounces Baggnagian Coup and Issues Warning

Nearly every territorial holding except that of Kleinaruscha and Venedig currently have cases of the illness and are rising almost exponentially. Nations such as Rezua are currently experiencing the same situation, while Sunrisia has declared a state of emergency after multiple cases being reported in its territory. A similar situation exists in the Englean Imperial Commonwealth, where a state of emergency has been enacted by His Imperial Majesty last week for all territories outside of Ventismar and said territories have been granted resources needed to combat the epidemic. Currently in all of the territories, a combined 3,500 cases have been reported.

However, this situation has changed due to the report of five (5) cases of the "Novel Illness" in the mainland Empire. These cases were reported in the southernmost state of Breissau, on the coast of the Centismar, in the city of Freiburg. These patients are currently being treated at the Royal Medical Institute of Freiburg, and are stated to be in "stable condition" with the "situation under control" by medical personnel. It was reported that all five of these cases were individuals who had recently vacationed in the Wilhelm Archipelago, and had come in contact with farmers at a local farmer's market. As per regulations for diseases of high importance such as the "Novel Illness," the Institute for Disease Control and Research were notified and a small team brought in to assist in the treatment and research of the diseases currently afflicting the patients. Due to the possibility of the expansion of the illness further into the nation, the government has canceled public Heinrichstag celebrations and have opted for virtual celebrations as a test of the popularity of such choices. Heinrichstag is regarded as the "most popular and celebrated" holidays of the year, due to its nature as the celebration of the founding of the Empire by Emperor Heinrich I in 875.

The ICDR has released a statement on the RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 epidemic, stating that it is currently researching a treatment and vaccine for the two diseases. Dr. Johann Staffson stated yesterday that the institute was focusing on a vaccine for the RETRIT-20 virus, in order to prevent its ability to attach to host cells and render its process of reverse transcription impossible to perform. It may be possible for patients with extreme symptoms to be cooled in order to lower their body temperature, and therefore preventing the survival of the viruses. At this time, we are testing this option and do not know of its effectiveness."

In other news, trouble has returned to Southern Ventismar with the nation of Baggnaggia recently undergoing a coup that has installed a "socialist" government. Not even a month following the referendum to reunite the two Baggnaggias, forces of the ex-North Baggnaggian Army under leadership of Sylva Čérny expelled the Baggnaggian Constituent Assembly with Čérny being proclaimed president. Calling the incident the "April Revolution," the new government claimed that it would proceed further to "ensure a quick return of stability" to the nation. Yesterday, the Sunrisian government announced it would "promise repercussions" against the forces of the new regime and today withdrew from trade and military deals with the nation along with imposing sanctions.

While the Empire has taken a notably "neutral" approach with the Baggnaggian situation, it has been decided by both the Imperial government and military that the actions by the former North Bagnaggians were "unacceptable." This decision is also bolstered due to the proximity of Baggnaggia and the Empire, with a strait being present between the two nations as a border.

The Office of the Reichskanzler today released a statement which stated

"The actions recently taken within the 'April Revolution' are both illegal and reprehensible, being completely against the values of Ventismarian nations. Due to this nature, the Empire officially condemns these actions taken by those who were supposed to be loyal to a democratically elected, unified Baggnaggia. The proclaimed 'President' of the new government, Sylva Čérny, had taken advantage of a fragile situation that the nation had found itself in following the long separation and hostilities between the two Baggnaggias in order to further himself and his ideology. It is especially abhorrent that Mr. Čérny would also take advantage of a widespread epidemic...As of the release of this statement, the Englean Empire officially denounces the new government of Baggnaggia and will not recognise said government as the legitimate power governing the Baggnaggian territories. In addition, sanctions will be placed upon both the government and all individuals involved in the coup plot. The Empire will also be weighing military options in this situation, due to the danger that the new government might pose to Englean civilians, territory, and interests within the region."

As of today, the Kaiserliche-Marine and Luftstreitkräfte have been activated in both the Weisserheim Strait as well as Venedig in response to the Baggnaggian Coup. Currently, vessels of the 3rd Destroyer Group (3. Zerstörer-Gruppe) have been tasked with patrol duties around the territorial waters of Baggnaggia. These vessels are the SMS Weißenhöring, Vöcklahofen and the Seeskorpion. When questioned by reporters today, Kommodore Leonhard Grossman stated that "it is possible" that the Kaiserliche-Marine will be ordered to perform a blockade of Baggnaggia.

With the anti-communist nature noted of both His Imperial Majesty and the Imperial Chancellor, it is expected that more serious measures will be taken by the Imperial government in regards to Baggnaggia. However, the Imperial government has stated that it will assist in the retrieval of Sunrisian and other international doctors currently stranded within Baggnaggia following the coup. While the MDAA has been regarded as an opponent of the Empire, government officials have stated that "Political competition has no place when regarding those risking their lives to save others." It is expected that representatives of the Empire in the Union of Ventismarian Nations (UVN) will propose a series of bills on the Baggnaggian situation to the council this week.

Baggnagia expels Sunrisian military doctors together with Lt. General Radoslav Meier and Divisional General Zbynek Fiala, People’s Navy moved to hold defense line against Englean Imperial Navy

JUGAC, BAGGNAGIA – Because of Sunrisian betrayal of the Baggnagian people and their refusal to support the Socialist Revolution, Baggnagia has decided to respond to the ex-ally. Sunrisian military doctors as servicemen of a nation that’s now hostile to Baggnagia have been ordered to leave Baggnagia. The Chamber of Deputies voted to expel all Sunrisian military doctors from Baggnagia when the rest of the Sunrisian armed forces left Baggnagia. They have been given a time frame to leave Baggnagia long enough for the Sunrisian Navy to come in and take them out of Baggnagia. Or the Sunrisian Air Force to fly them out. To throw the Sunrisians a bone Madam President Sylva Čérny has decided to cut a deal and let the Sunrisians take detained Lt. General Radoslav Meier and Divisional General Zbynek Fiala with them. The President declare that Baggnagia doesn’t want either to build or lead a “fifth column” here in Baggnagia.

A cold breeze is coming towards the Socialist Revolution from the western direction and disappointingly from the direction that the Baggnagian people had once looked towards as the direction of hope. But now an even colder breeze is blowing towards the Socialist Revolution from the east. That breeze is not only colder but its much closer. The Englean Empire has taken a stance against the Socialist Revolution too. Ironically they have basically sided with their enemy Sunrisia and followed through with a similar action of imposing their own sanctions. But whereas the Sunrisians declared their sanctions to be against the government the Engleans are considering a blockade as a possibility. And that would harm the Baggnagian state as a whole including the people whose revolution this is. The Engleans may soon aim to rally the Union of Ventismarian Nations (UVN) against Baggnagia too. Right now they have moved their Navy in the direction of Baggnagia.

Madam President Sylva Čérny declared that Sunrisian cutting of the defense pact between the nations has left Baggnagia on ice and the nation will now have to fend for itself. The Baggnagian People’s Navy has been ordered to move in the eastern and north-eastern direction to meet the Englean Navy half-way. No combat orders or attack orders have been given but the People’s Navy has been told to be ready to self-defend and defend Baggnagian waters from a possible Englean incursion. Baggnagia will be standing up to bullying and not submit to blackmail even if the Englean ideology hates socialism and wants to prohibit its life in Baggnagia. The armed forces will defend the revolution. Prime Minister Vítezslav Mattner declared that there’s no way Baggnagia could pose a threat to the Englean Empire while vice versa is a possibility. Moreover with the Novell Virus having reached the Englean mainland Baggnagia must take additional measures to keep it from spreading to the Democratic Republic from the Englean side and adding more to the 20 cases of the Novell Virus that Baggnagia already has.

Representatives Of SOWEFTA And New Vesvai Gather In Miraya, Creperia At Sunrisian Request To Creperia

The SOWEFTA–New Vesvai meeting has gathered in Miraya, Creperia. Gathered representatives of SOWEFTA member states – Creperia, Edereon and Sunrisia, and third party state/partner New Vesvai intend to sign the Integration Protocol, which would make New Vesvai an associate state of SOWEFTA. The government of New Vesvai initiated the procedure, however, the Sunrisian government has fulfilled the appeal of the New Vesvaian side to help out in organizing the meeting. Originally, Orentan, Sunrisia was perceived as a possible location for the SOWEFTA–New Vesvai meeting or even a fully-fledged SOWEFTA–New Vesvai summit. However, because of Sunrisia being in a State of Emergency and with closed borders over the RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 Virus, 12 cases in the country so far, Sunrisia has been ruled out by our own government to be the host of the meeting.

Sunrisia, instead, turned to Creperia, which has hosted a smaller amount of MDAA and SOWEFTA meetings and summits in comparison to other member states, to host the SOWEFTA–New Vesvai summit. Sunrisia also declared its’ support for the association of New Vesvai with SOWEFTA like it supported the association of New Vesvai with MDAA, that is why the allies were encouraged to consider the same. Only a consolidated position can help any such steps or achievements to be made within the ranks of MDAA or SOWEFTA and member states of these 2 organizations do not often see eye-to-eye as 100% as it might sometimes appear. That is the other side of nationalism, as it can be both a uniting factor for Sunrisia and its’ allies, as well as a divisive one, since nationalism encourages every to country to still stay more in its’ own corner.

As part of the Sunrisian delegation, Minister of International Relations of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Vénî Adsécĕr, Minister of Industry, Trade and Commerce of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Fídês Sódâlītás and Minister of Finance and Economic Development of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Cóitâ Nêcétó have arrived in Miraya, Creperia. They have arrived to the meeting wearing respirators, gloves and having hand sanitizers with them, while also keeping distance from each other, from others gathered at the meeting and avoiding handshakes. Visibly they were and felt like they were the ones, who had come from a “contaminated” country to a one that has not reported a single case yet.

Minister of Industry, Trade and Commerce Fídês Sódâlītás:

“We might look strange to others, but we feel responsibility before everybody around us and before the country of Creperia. We have 12 cases down in Sunrisia, which is not a lot for a big country, but that still officially puts us in the category of countries touched by the epidemic. Not a single case has, fortunately, been reported up here in Creperia and we do not intend to bring the bug over here in any form. That is especially considering the fact that Creperia has accepted our request and the request of New Vesvai, while also taking the risk of letting Sunrisians in here across the border.

That is just a forewarning and an acknowledgment of what the situation is like right now. It is an “elephant in the room” that we had to address. But we are gathered here today to do other things and even while keeping distance from others, we will have a way to sign an agreement here today, if it is reached between the sides.”

Vesvai’s Part Of The Union Of Oblaren And Vesvai Formalizes Its Exit From The Rhodeve Commonwealth With A Divisive Parliamentary Vote

Local Parliament of Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai has voted to withdraw from the Rhodeve Commonwealth. The vote has split the Parliament right down the middle. The Aye vote won over the Nay vote just by a mare single MP with 176 in favor and 174 against out of all 350. The Parliament was still split right down the middle even though Vesvai’s First Minister Jonathan Mollisal worked hard to get everyone on board. But even the First Minister’s own VHU party was divided on the issue internally. Opposition parties varied in their position. Some were unanimously for, some unanimously against. Some were divided internally between both positions just like the VHU party was. The fact that the Parliament was not able to consolidate positions within parties it created 176 supporters from VHU and other parties and 174 opponents from VHU and other parties. But the important part for the local government is that the majority still vote in favor of leaving and that’s all that matters.

Former Governor-General Andrew Gaileta will become Vesvai’s Deputy First Minister and will be vote into this position by the Parliament soon. As mentioned in the past Gaileta may also start heading one of the Cabinet Ministries at the local government of Vesvai’s part of the Union. On foreign policy front the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai is no longer internally divided. It remains a committed part of ROVAA and will be building allied relations with Commonwealth member nations. At least that is the foreign policy move that Vesvai’s local government will be promoting for the Union. Oblaren’s local government may have its own position but it looks like both halves of the Union seem to be agreeing on most things so far. That’s how the Union holds. The Commonwealth issue was probably the most divisive but today’s vote resembles a compromise that was reached between both halves of the Union.

First Minister Jonathan Mollisal called upon his colleagues in Vesvai’s local government and in Oblaren to finally focus all attention and energy on finishing the formation of the Union’s single central government.

New Vesvai Signs Association With SOWEFTA

Representatives of the member of states of SOWEFTA and New Vesvai had officially signed the Integration Protocol between SOWEFTA and New Vesvai at the SOWEFTA–New Vesvai meeting in Miraya, Creperia. This now makes New Vesvai an associate state of SOWEFTA. It also means that the SOWEFTA–New Vesvai Deep and Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement has become superseded by the deeper integration of New Vesvai with the trade bloc. However, the bilateral agreement, which is the New Vesvai–Sunrisia Enhanced Trade and Investment Agreement, remains in place just like Sunrisia’s bilateral agreements with other associate states of SOWEFTA and agreements the conditions of which may not apply to the rest of the trade bloc, but might positively and productively impact its’ economic area and sphere.

The representatives of the Sunrisian delegation, who had signed the agreement, were – Minister of Industry, Trade and Commerce of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Fídês Sódâlītás, Minister of Finance and Economic Development of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Cóitâ Nêcétó and Minister of International Relations of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Vénî Adsécĕr. They stood out from the rest of their colleagues and the general crowd at the meeting, because they wore respirators the entire time, wore gloves and had hand sanitizers with them, while also keeping the distance from others. They signed the agreement with the pens they brought themselves and made sure to disinfect them prior. They even did not engage in a traditional handshake with representatives of other SOWEFTA member states and the representatives of New Vesvai after the signing, instead opting for their own body language alternatives to handshakes. However, the Sunrisian representatives made sure to warmly congratulate New Vesvai on their achievement.

With the inclusion of another associate state, SOWEFTA now has 3 associate states – The Seven United (Damsmar), Daredland and now New Vesvai. Sunrisia maintains separate individual trade agreements with each of them.

New Vesvai Gets Associate Membership Of SOWEFTA In Addition To MDAA

New Vesvai’s Prime Minister Adi Letago will be bringing another victory back home to New Vesvai. At the SOWEFTA–New Vesvai meeting in Creperian capital Miraya the Prime Minister and other delegates of New Vesvai had signed the Integration Protocol with the delegates of SOWEFTA members. That happened today on the second day of the meeting since the delegations arrived yesterday. With the Integration Protocol New Vesvai trade deal it shared with SOWEFTA ends but that’s because its replaced with associate membership for the nation in the organization. New Vesvai now has associate membership in MDAA and SOWEFTA in its pocket. The next step from here is only full membership in those organizations if they’re willing to accept New Vesvai, said PM Adi Letago. But even only with associate membership New Vesvai will be able to bring itself up to economic and military standards that of other nations in these blocs. Associate membership will automatically project affect and influence onto New Vesvai which will reform the nation towards standards that will make it a worthy member one day. PM Letago committed to encouraging the Parliament to ratify the association with SOWEFTA as soon as possible similar to how the head of government convinced the MPs to do with the MDAA association deal.

The achievement of these agreements has partially taken away arguments by opposition politicians and other skeptics towards the government headed by PM Adi Letago. It’s not much of a surprise that this is what was said by his own party members and members of the party in a coalition with former. But opposition parties still found some stones to throw in the PM’s direction even if they were unrelated to his achievements or underachievements. Some MPs from the opposition said that PM Adi Letago and New Vesvai’s delegates that went to Miraya with him should be told to go into quarantine. That’s because they were in the presence of Sunrisian delegates and it’s known that the nation has 12 cases. Though it was announced today that one of them has supposedly recovered. But even if it was an attempt to hit the Prime Minister below the belt verbally citizens appear to share the sentiment. Nobody wants New Vesvai’s delegation to bring the Novell Virus back to New Vesvai even if that delegation is bringing an achieved deal with them.

Now that New Vesvai has associate membership in MDAA and SOWEFTA the flags of these organizations will be placed outside and inside government buildings related to trade, economics, military, defense and other areas in trade and defense categories.

Counter-Revolution forces attack! Sunrisian involvement exposed by the government!

JUGAC, BAGGNAGIA – The suspicions of the Revolutionary Socialist Government have proved themselves to be a reality. There are counter-revolutionary elements attempting to undo the April Revolution with not just an armed insurrection but a full on war. Elements who have refused to support the April Revolution are waging a battle against the Baggnagian People’s Army (the only legal and recognized military in Baggnagia now). It appears that the counter-revolutionary elements trying to take Baggnagian fields, Baggnagian cities, Baggnagian towns, Baggnagian villages are commanded by Lt. General Radoslav Meier and Divisional General Zbynek Fiala. These military dissidents and enemy of the people, the workers and the peasants of Baggnagia are commanding their armed goons shoulder to shoulder. It only makes more sense now that the Baggnagian government wanted them rightfully exiled out of the nation so that they wouldn’t grow a fifth column here. Unfortunately their counter-revolutionary forces are making gains. Because the Baggnagian Revolutionary Socialist Government has not had time to stabilize in power yet its leadership is unable to properly fight back against the enemies of the revolution. The aircraft of the counter-revolutionary forces is seen in the skies close to the capital Jugac. But that’s not the only troubling moment.

Baggnagia is fighting not just a counter-revolution by traitors but a foreign invasion too. Officers of the Baggnagian People’s Army have detected soldiers with a Sunrisian military uniform and Sunrisian insignia helping the counter-revolutionaries led by Lt. General Radoslav Meier and Divisional General Zbynek Fiala. Sunrisia has invaded Baggnagia and are fighting an undeclared war against the world’s newest nation by the proletariat and for the proletariat. And although their government is silent the Sunrisian regular army is not hiding itself here. Their troops are with insignia, with the recognizable uniform and Sunrisian aircraft (which has become all too familiar for to the Baggnagian eye by now) is in the nation’s skies. Including close to Jugac. Some positions of the People’s Army say they have been openly fired upon and hit by Sunrisian air forces and missiles from the vessels of Sunrisian navy which has moved close to Baggnagia.

President Sylva Čérny condemned the aggression and says that Baggnagian eyes have opened now.

We finally see that this was a Sunrisian conspiracy. How stupid were we to allow them to evacuate their military doctors and other nationals by using their military? This allowed their air forces and their navy to easily crawl up to Baggnagia and start attacking us. Their supposed evacuation was a cover-up for an invasion. We have also made a mistake for agreeing to give them Meier and Fiala who are now commanding these counter-revolutionary forces. They want to put their puppets back into power. We were blinded by the fact that the Sunrisians have so recently helped us to reunify and rebuild our nation. We could’ve never even thought they could go against us. And to top it all off the Sunrisian Minister of International Relations Vénî Adsécĕr said yesterday that their nation was going to oppose military action by a foreign power or outside blockades against Baggnagia. This was in the face of the Englean threat from the north-east. They even halted cutting diplomatic relations with us and cancelling visa-free travel for our citizens to Baggnagia. That was in case we would come under attack and refugees would have a possible safe haven in the form of Sunrisia. Yes we had a major falling out after the April Revolution because Sunrisia decided not to support the proletariat’s victory. Falling out is putting it lightly. But their words in the face of Englean threats to us made it seem like we might still count on Sunrisia for help on some level for old times’ sake. It was all a set-up. We have let our guard down and still trusted the Sunrisians too much. They’re now the aggressor. Sunrisians have broken the hearts of the Baggnagian people. Well guess what, we are going to fight back. I call on the Chamber of Deputies to support the mobilization of the Baggnagian People’s Army for war of self-defense against invasion. To those troops still not joining the People’s Army I call on you to reconsider. Cause that leaves you in the neutral camp or the counter-revolutionary camp and the People’s Army will not be taking any chances. You might regret your decision in the field.

Jamestown Secretary Matvey Sergey, leading Ophioneus’s effort to reform its economy, announced the opening of the new Ivanpah Solar-Thermal storage facility. The Department of Trade and Commerce announced today that the plant has completed the construction of a Thermal-Storage tank. The plant uses molten salt to drive a steam turbine. In total three plants generate 337 MW of power annually. With the addition of the thermal storage, the turbines can operate for ten hours longer than initially designed.

"While not providing power through the whole night, we can now provide more power at times of peak demand." Chief Engineer Loe told reporters at the grand opening of the tanks. "Using the power of the sun, we heat water to 550C. We can then divert some of this energy to store in underground tanks." The plant is widely seen as a testing ground for new technology. For decades, the former USJR received power mostly through nuclear reactors. While renewable energy plans have grown in recent years, its progress has been stymied by energy storage.

Traditionally, dams have been used to store energy. This is widely seen in hydro power. Batteries, while expensive, are getting cheaper over time. Thermal storage may provide another tool in the arsenal against fossil fuels and nuclear power for those that seek to minimize the environmental impact of mankind.

New Vesvai is celebrating the completion of its border wall with the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai. The occasion was commemorated with the arrival of officials from the Ministry of the Vesvaian Revolutionary Army to the border. They stood together and observed the completed wall together with the officers of the Vesvaian Revolutionary Army. No red ribbons were cut but whoever wanted could give a speech. Officials from the Ministry of the Vesvaian Revolutionary Army felt like they were obliged to sake something symbolical, occasional and inspiring so they did. The border wall began construction shortly after the independence of New Vesvai and before the Silver Revolution. Back then New Vesvai still bordered the nation of the Dominion of Vesvai. But some time has passed since those days. New Vesvai is now a post-revolution New Vesvai and a different nation it has been. The Dominion of Vesvai is also literally a different nation because it no longer exists on its own. In its place there’s the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai.

The border wall itself has come under risk many times because there have been armed clashes on the border throughout its construction period. Sometimes it took damage and repairs had to be made which prolonged the construction. But since then the revolutionary government has made much larger leaps in ensuring its success than predecessors did. There were land mines placed along the border wall and New Vesvai’s defense budget allocated funds on modernizing the border wall to the point of including cameras, electric fences, etc.

Today New Vesvai is not concerned if this border wall will harshly symbolize the division of Vesvaian people for generations to come. The hope is it will just be a necessary object ensuring stability and cold peace on the island rather than being a symbol of war.

Deputy Prime Minister Nikau Pasvecal Temporarily Takes Over As Head Of Government While Prime Minister Adi Letago Is On A Month-Long Quarantine

A person that couldn’t but felt he should’ve attended the border wall conclusion ceremony was New Vesvai’s Prime Minister Adi Letago. But he couldn’t. By the proposal of the opposition at first, later health experts and finally colleagues in his own party and cabinet PM Letago went into a month-long quarantine at home. This has to do with his arrival from Creperia where he was at the SOWEFTA–New Vesvai meeting. There the Prime Minister had contact with Sunrisian delegates and Sunrisia is a nation which has the Novell virus on its territory. To keep it from spreading into New Vesvai PM Adi Letago and the delegation that went with him have agreed to isolate. They were checked for symptoms at the hospital and neither has shown any symptoms. Afterwards they agreed to go into a month-long incubation period. In absence of PM Adi Letago his duties have been assumed by Deputy Prime Minister Nikau Pasvecal. He will act as head of government until PM Letago is ready to return to his position. PM Letago said that Deputy PM Pasvecal has the responsibility to ensure that New Vesvai’s Parliament ratifies the association deal with SOWEFTA.

Vesvai’s Part Of The Union Of Oblaren And Vesvai Tightens Border Security And Travel Restrictions Regarding New Vesvai Because Of Virus

New Vesvai is celebrating its so-called achievement by sealing itself off from Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai and the Union as a whole. In true MDAA fashion which New Vesvai now associates with, the nation prides itself on building walls and closing off from someone instead of building bridges and reaching out. Especially closing off from your own Vesvaian people. But now the situation has come to a level where the local government of Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai must take security precautions too. Those are related to the virus epidemic circulating around the world. In part it’s circulating because of the irresponsibility of people and world governments. That’s where New Vesvai’s Prime Minister Adi Letago comes in.

There’s a lot of things that can be said about Letago and his politics. But the current segment is about the literal endangerment of his own citizens the inhabitants of our shared island. All because of his leadership’s political ambitions. Having proudly returned from a Creperia-based meeting where the pro-Sunrisian PM of New Vesvai was thrown a bone in a form of an association deal with SOWEFTA, Letago and his delegates have possibly brought the Novell virus to New Vesvai. And that technically means they may have not only brought it to their own nation but to the island of Vesvai in entirety. All because of them Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai may have been put at risk too. At that widely promoted SOWEFTA–New Vesvai meeting Letago and his delegates interacted with their Sunrisian masters. Sunrisia’s a nation with Novell virus on its territory so that’s now another reason why it’s hazardous more so than usual. There has practically been no communication ever created between both Vesvais. But people had more or less not been forbidden to travel through air and sea on both sides if they got a visa. Land travel has obviously been more complicated because of the infamous border wall and presence of military on both sides. But now the local government has passed measures banning travel from and into New Vesvai. Military, police and border guard will increase presence at all shared borders to ensure there’s no chance for the virus to come into this part of the island from the other side. These are measures passed by the local government and are not Union-wide because the Union has yet to get a single overreaching government.

Jugac taken as Socialist forces surrender power and flee Baggnagia, Military Council of Baggnagia reinstated as the governing body in the nation

JUGAC, BAGGNAGIA – After a handful of days in power after the coup that was named the April Revolution, the Socialist Revolution or the April Socialist Revolution the Socialist Government of Baggnagia has bailed. The Presidency and the Parliament had escaped from the Constituent Assembly building they had occupied in their assault days ago. President Sylva Čérny, Prime Minister Vítezslav Mattner, President (Speaker) of the Chamber of Deputies Liavon Jakavienka II have literally left the building when Sunrisian-backed anti-coup forces of Baggnagia led by Lt. General Radoslav Meier and Divisional General Zbynek Fiala entered Jugac. It was not hard for them to reach the capital Jugac because its geographic location is in the south of the nation and close to the south coast. That is the direction that the Baggnagian Protection Army and Sunrisian armed forces attacked from. They also greatly outnumbered the troops of the so-called Baggnagian People’s Army (which is what the socialist government named the Baggnagian armed forces after taking over. Not many of Baggnagian military officers defected to the People’s Army and many stood behind or stayed in the anti-coup Baggnagian Protection Army.)

When reaching Jugac the anti-coup forces advanced by land and air into the city. They didn’t find much resistance here. By the time it came to take back the government building from the Socialists they had already left. Lt. General Radoslav Meier and Divisional General Zbynek Fiala did not give out orders to hunt for Sylva Čérny, Karel Čérny, Vítezslav Mattner or Liavon Jakavienka II or Socialist Bloc (SB) party members. Reportedly they had fled Baggnagia into an unknown foreign direction and the decision has been made to let them go. Why? Well it doesn’t seem to be a question of much importance right now. It appears that the Socialists have chosen to go into exile. For the father-daughter duo of the Čérny family it would be a second time. And it seems like only yesterday they came back to Baggnagia (still South Baggnagia back then) to rally the citizens behind them against the Military Council and in the name of democracy. The troops that landed from the military helicopter on the rooftop of the government building immediately proceeded to taking down the red flag that the Socialists raised over it after taking over.

Baggnagian Protection Army has now taken power back from the Socialists. There was a declaration made that the Military Council of Baggnagia would be reestablished and reinstated as the governing body in Baggnagia. Lt. General Radoslav Meier and Divisional General Zbynek Fiala acknowledged on location in Jugac that they had rushed turning power over to the Constituent Assembly of Baggnagia. According to them it has allowed the Socialists to wage a coup against a weaker government that has not yet assumed effective control over the leadership in Baggnagia. But that rushed power transfer was done under Sunrisian pressure said Lt. General Radoslav Meier. Now the Military Council would have to return to power to bring things back under control after this week-long crisis. Lt. General Radoslav Meier said he will not be returning as Chairman of the Military Council because he has been in the position too long in South Baggnagian days and briefly in reunified Baggnagia. He has endorsed Divisional General Zbynek Fiala for Chairman of the Military Council of Baggnagia. His assumption of the position is expected to be voted in by the newly reformed Military Council shortly.

In the outskirts of Baggnagia the Protection Army and Sunrisian forces are finishing the fight against the remaining People’s Army forces. Some are still fighting back even though their leadership has abandoned them. They’re no longer even in the nation to properly command the People’s Army which has virtually been left on its own. Many are already surrendering in acceptance of the new situation and out of realization that the Socialist Coup has failed. Many believe Baggnagia has avoided a national catastrophe that could have doomed generations if the Socialist Coup hadn’t been undone. But the opinion of Baggnagian citizens can’t fully be seen right now because of quarantine over the Novell Virus. There’s just a question if the coup and the armed conflict that followed will not make the Novell Virus situation in Baggnagia worse. Right now there are still 20 cases. The returning Military Council is already giving promises that the situation will soon be back under control again.

Military Council of Baggnagia is once again in power in Baggnagia. The self-proclaimed socialist government has abandoned the control and the governance it seized in its’ coup d'état and fled. Reportedly, they are no longer on the territory of Baggnagia and have escaped abroad, meaning that the Čérny family, which was behind this entire plot, has once again gone into self-exile outside Baggnagian borders. And just like last time, it is unknown, which country they have moved to. Meanwhile, the counter-coup forces commanded by Lt. General Radoslav Meier, who famously led the former South Baggnagia and briefly led reunified Baggnagia, and Divisional General Zbynek Fiala, who commanded the coup d'état against second and last dictator of the former North Baggnagia Jan Tillich and then proceeded to lead North Baggnagia during the transitional democratization period prior to reunification, had taken the capital of Baggnagia – Jugac, without much hardship. The self-proclaimed socialist government reportedly fled as the counter-coup forces were basically at the doorstep of Jugac, which is a city in the south of Baggnagia, close to the coastline and close to the Centismar Sea, which is the direction, where the counter-coup forces moved from. Lt. General Radoslav Meier decided that he would not go back to being Chairman of the Military Council of Baggnagia for a second time, after having been in the position for a long time, and Divisional General Zbynek Fiala ultimately became Chairman of the restored military government.

When the armed “counter-coup” began, the Baggnagian media, which was still under the control of the self-proclaimed socialist government, said that the Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF) was aiding the Meier–Fiala forces of the Baggnagian Protection Army against the socialist-loyal Baggnagian People’s Army. In the last news from Baggnagia, even though the self-proclaimed socialist government was chased out of power, the Baggnagian Protection Army was said to be still fighting the remnants of the Baggnagian People’s Army loyal to the Socialist takeover, however, it was said that they have been largely surrendering, which creates parallels with the ending of the Baggnagian War, where forces loyal to the fallen North Baggnagian regime were still fighting back, but also started to eventually surrender. The parallels are not out of place, considering that the coup d'état was supported by former North Baggnagian soldiers, who refused to disarm and staged a military mutiny in Baggnagia, which helped create a basis for ousting the Constituent Assembly of Baggnagia by a Socialist-led seizing of power. Those same former North Baggnagian soldiers tried helping support the establishment of another autocratic leadership in the newly-reunified Baggnagia and many of them went on to join the Baggnagian People’s Army. And now they are surrendering the same way they did in the end of the Baggnagian War.

However, over here in Sunrisia, the question now stands. Did our country have anything to do with what just happened in Baggnagia? When the armed resistance against the self-proclaimed socialist government began, the Baggnagian media still under the control of the now-removed socialist government, said that Sunrisian soldiers with SDF uniforms and openly visible insignia were seen helping the Baggnagian Protection Army in the counter-coup insurrection. The socialist leadership said that the jets used by Sunrisian Air Force have been seen in Baggnagian skies yet again and they attacked the Baggnagian People’s Army on several occasions. So did helicopters used by our military. The People’s Army said that Sunrisian Naval Forces were firing cruise missiles into Baggnagia. The self-proclaimed and now-removed Socialist President Sylva Čérny gave an entire speech about it, where she condemned Sunrisian aggression and expressed heartbreak over our betrayal of Baggnagian trust, given a history of being allies before the Socialists took over. She said that there was supposedly still hope that our country may somehow show solidarity with Baggnagia, even under the new regime, if it were to come under a realistic Englean threat. This was in reference to the Englean warships having moved in the direction of Baggnagia after the coup d'état in Jugac. Čérny rightfully quoted Minister of International Relations of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Vénî Adsécĕr, who said that Sunrisia would not support foreign military action against Baggnagia. Our own news network and many news outlets in Sunrisia noted how our military was moving to Baggnagia in larger quantities that supposedly are needed for the evacuation of our military doctors and international medical personnel from Baggnagia. Many raised the question over why were military helicopters going there in such large quantities, including attack helicopters? Were they intending on transporting anything?

Of course, this could have been written off as propaganda by the self-proclaimed socialist government during its’ short tenure and grip over Baggnagian news media, if it were not for one little thing. Today, when the Socialists were ousted and exiled and the Military Council was reestablished and reinstated as the governing body of Baggnagia, the country’s news media still talked about how Sunrisian armed forces directly helped the Baggnagian Protection Army to remove the Socialists. Lt. General Radoslav Meier and Divisional General Zbynek Fiala did not deny this and there was even some news footage of soldiers, who looked a lot like our troops, being in the ranks of the Baggnagian Protection Army. So now, given that the Sunrisian government did not publicly announce the start of any operations in Baggnagia or involvement in “undoing” the Baggnagian coup d'état, we, as journalists, are now forced to ask the administration of the President and the Convet. Were we involved? Mr. President, Mr. Speaker, anybody else, your turn to answer to us.

Status quo with separatist-held territories and how long it might last

LPM-led Daredi government is going through tough times. Its failure at the MDAA summit has caused it major backlash from the opposition parties and the Daredi public. Pan-Germanist and pro-Englean opposition forces in Daredland are criticizing the government too but for different reasons. All in all seems like everybody now is against the LPM coalition which was originally voted into power as a moderate government sandwiched in-between radical political groups. Even the government itself seems to be struggling to stay unified within while the approval rating has been plummeting. So this has caused LPM to turn to Daredland’s other key issues than just foreign policy goals. Since it seems like there’s not going to be any foreign policy wins for the time being maybe the government will have luck with internal policy issues. And that’s where the secessionist territories of the self-declared Hasperan Republic and the self-declared Weniges Reich had been brought in.

President Hans Receni called in a Confederal Cabinet meeting with only select Confederal Ministers that directly link to the issues with the secessionist territories. In attendance were Confederal Minister of Defense and Protection of the Daredi Confederation Lukas Armbrüster, Confederal Minister of Reintegration and Reconciliation of the Daredi Confederation Franz Potesinan, Confederal Minister of Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced People of the Daredi Confederation Andrea Färber and Confederal Minister of Home Affairs of the Daredi Confederation Karl Weiß were brought in at first. Later the President called for Confederal Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Daredi Confederation Zina Fenstermacher to come in. The reason for Confederal Foreign Minister’s attendance was her appointee Special Representative for Interactions with the Kaiserlich-Controlled State of Engleberg Niklas Böhler may having to eventually get in touch with the Engleans over the occupied parts of Wenigberg.

The debate was carried over into the United Confederal Assembly. The lower house National Council of the Daredi Confederation and the upper house Council of States of the Daredi Confederation debated it separately again. They went into a deadlock discussion among differing political forces. But despite all that heated debate it seems like things had gone nowhere again because they can’t come up with a consensus. The only option for the separatist-held territories that the varying political parties seem to agree to do by comparison is military action to just retake them. But the Confederal Ministry of Foreign Affairs knows that Daredi allies won’t support it either for the self-declared Hasperan Republic or for the self-declared Weniges Reich. In case of the Weniges Reich Daredland may once again end up in a war with the Englean state except an open one this time. So again no progress beyond a dead end for the LPM-led government.

President Addél Dîlectên Admits Sunrisian Military Involvement In The “Counter-Coup” In Baggnagia: The Mission Was Code-Named “Operation Righteous Reverse”

After yesterday’s regime change or, more correctly, an “undoing” of a coup d'état, where the Socialists seized power, questions began to arise in Sunrisia, especially pushed forward by the journalists, towards the Sunrisian government. Prior to being removed, the Socialists and Baggnagian media under their tenure claimed that Sunrisian forces were helping the “counter-coup” Baggnagian Protection Army led by old trustworthy figures of Lt. General Radoslav Meier and Divisional General Zbynek Fiala, who has now become Chairman of the reestablished and reinstalled Military Council of Baggnagia, to fight the Socialist-loyal Baggnagian People’s Army, largely made up of former North Baggnagian soldiers, and thus wage an insurrection against the Socialists’ takeover. The media under the influence of the Socialists said that the Baggnagian People’s Army had accounts of being bombed by the Sunrisian Air Force and having been fired upon by cruise missiles from Sunrisian Naval Forces, not to mention encountering Sunrisian soldiers with Sunrisian uniforms and insignia on the battlefield. Baggnagian self-proclaimed Socialist President Sylva Čérny rightfully quoted our own Minister of International Relations Vénî Adsécĕr, who said that Sunrisia would not support a blockade or military action against Baggnagia, which was made in reference of the Englean Kaiserreich threatening, intending or hinting at doing either.

Even after the Socialists were ousted, the Baggnagian media, now no longer under the influence of the coup government, still said that Sunrisian forces fought alongside the Baggnagian “counter-coup” forces. This information from Baggnagian sources was coupled by the reports from Sunrisian media itself of the Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF) deploying the Sunrisian Air Force and Sunrisian Naval Forces in larger quantities that seemed necessary or were announced, as well as sending helicopters, including attack helicopters for some reason, to this supposed evacuation mission of Sunrisian military doctors and international medical personnel from Baggnagia and that was it. No other objectives were publicly announced. All of the prior information, combined with the basic timeframe logic of how quickly this entire “undoing” of the coup by the Socialists happened, made us ask questions from the Sunrisian government. Did we have anything to do with this?

Lawmakers at the Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia said they have nothing to say, because they were not approached by anybody from the Dîlectên administration, including by President Addél Dîlectên himself, on supporting the authorization of such a mission. So, the lawmakers basically said that they were just as confused as the Sunrisian media and the Sunrisian public. They said all questions must to go the administration of the President. Well, today, President Addél Dîlectên has finally decided to “come clean” as the saying goes, with this sensational announcement:

“I would like to openly admit and confirm that the Sunrisian Military did indeed fight alongside the Baggnagian Protection Army during this removal of the government installed by the Socialists during their coup d'état. As commander-in-chief, I called up a secret National Defense Council meeting, where we had decided to authorize military action, while not making it public. It was supposed to be a covert operation, which is why the Convet was not informed prior, the media was not and we did not announce it publicly. Everybody, who knew about it, kept it to themselves, so that there would not be any leaks. The Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF) code-named this mission – “Operation Righteous Reverse.” During our publicly-declared evacuation of Sunrisian military doctors and international medical personnel from Baggnagia, after the self-proclaimed government of the Socialists announced their expulsion, our military used this as an additional cover-up to intervene. Lt. General Radoslav Meier and Divisional General Zbynek Fiala, whom we were also supposed to evacuate after the self-proclaimed government of the Socialists basically told us to take them with us, were instead regrouped with by our military. Our forces joined the Baggnagian Protection Army that opposed the coup and Lt. General Radoslav Meier and Divisional General Zbynek Fiala became their commanders. During the operation, our joint land advance was aided by the Sunrisian Air Force and Sunrisian Naval Forces. The reports of airstrikes and cruise missile attacks on the forces of the Baggnagian People’s Army were not a lie. Simultaneously to that military action, the Sunrisian Air Force and the Sunrisian Naval Forces were also involved in their openly-declared evacuation objective. A lot of our special forces were sent in by helicopters, the deployment of which, was not made public, but was sighted. In the end, it was the special forces that helped the Baggnagian Protection Army reclaim the government building, which was already abandoned by the Socialists at that point.

Minister of International Relations of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Vénî Adsécĕr was made aware of the operation, but purposely kept the administration’s “war time secrecy” policy. The Minister purposely said that Sunrisia would not support military action in Baggnagia, in order to make the Socialists let their guard down. However, there was not a portion of truth in that statement, because Sunrisia would not have welcomed Englean intervention were it to happen and it appeared to be close to that. Our decision to keep secrecy can be morally questioned, however, our administration does not regret our decision, especially now seeing the outcome. Sunrisia has become too personally involved in the Baggnagian conflict. We helped directly see to its’ reunification, including with our own soldiers fighting in the war to see the eventual democratic realization of this reunification or at least creating conditions for such a possibility, and even afterwards we had spent a lot of time helping the liberated North Baggnagia and the defended South Baggnagia to rebuild. We had also helped the newly-reunified Baggnagia to get back on its’ feet. We were not going to sit back and let certain power-hungry figures destroy all of that struggle brought to reality with sweat and blood, including Baggnagian and Sunrisian, by creating an usurpationist, one-party system, almost similar to the one in the former North Baggnagia, which would have depleted the country politically, economically and socially with its’ policies, including with its’ own regime’s depletion and oppression of Baggnagians, and by bringing upon outside pressure and repercussions in a form of sanctions and isolation. The Baggnagian people that had already gone through way too much to finally achieve reunification and a democratic future, would have once again been doomed for generations, if we had not acted. Including our own work in Baggnagia, which Sunrisian soldiers, peacekeepers, diplomats and humanitarians oversaw, having been made irrelevant. Some Sunrisians today have the RETRIT-20/PVAX-20 Virus, even now as we speak, because they were out there, trying to help Baggnagia finally to get back on its’ feet. We were not going to let the Socialists throw all of that away, not for Baggnagian people, and not for us.

Lt. General Radoslav Meier and Divisional General Zbynek Fiala are good and trustworthy men. Their past actions speak for themselves. Even though the Military Council, which has now been reinstated in power, is a military government, it is not a junta like all the other past and possible current example in the world. Neither was the former military government of the former North Baggnagia, which temporarily took over after the fall of the North Baggnagian regime and was headed by Divisional General Zbynek Fiala, who is now Chairman of the Military Council of Baggnagia. They helped bring about democratization, reunification, a sense of prosperity and hope, as well as a prospect of a better future for all Baggnagian people. So there is a lot of hope there and a lot of voices rooting for their further success.

This is your President Madam Sylva Čérny speaking. We are alive and well. I am, my father is, Prime Minister Vítezslav Mattner is, so is Speaker Liavon Jakavienka II and members of the Baggnagian governing party the Socialist Bloc (SB). We are no longer on Baggnagian territory for obvious reasons. We are not going to disclose our current location or our current destination also for obvious reasons. We don’t want our hosts to run into trouble or have certain radical elements of the Baggnagian junta go after us. We don’t want Sunrisian head hunter intelligence operatives with their tentacles around the planet going after us either. We just wanted to let you know that the April Revolution is not that. We are setting up the Socialist Government of Baggnagia in exile abroad. We continue to claim ourselves as the sole legitimate government of Baggnagia. Convet “Scolds” The Dîlectên Administration For Keeping Baggnagia Military Operation A Secret: Administration Of The President Defends Itself

The executive and legislative branches of the Sunrisian government had basically “sunk their teeth into each other’s throats” today. The Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia, including the governing coalition and opposition parties, is outraged that the Dîlectên administration did not inform them or ask for their approval or support of Operation Righteous Reverse in Baggnagia to “undo” the coup d'état by the Socialists, before the Sunrisian Military launched it. The President’s administration did indeed keep it a secret not only from the rest of the country, but the rest of government. Some lawmakers said that this resembles the return of stratocracy to Sunrisia, which was recently supposedly removed by President Addél Dîlectên, where the Sunrisian Intelligence and Military acted as the “shadow government” of the country for a long time, before the Dîlectên administration finally came. However, those comparisons were soon withdrawn, because this time the intelligence services and the military acted by the order of the administration and not vice versa, and that is apparent.

The Convet accused President Addél Dîlectên of abuse of power and forgetting or ignoring the fact that there are other branches of the government in Sunrisia, apart from the administration, despite the President being the commander-in-chief. According to the current Constitution of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia adopted on August 22, Sunrisia is still a presidential republic, but a semi-presidential republic, where the office of the President holds less weight than it did in past historical periods of Sunrisia. In the heated rant against the administration of the President, lawmakers did not refrain from throwing the phrase “impeachable offense” around, referencing the aforementioned “abuse of power” and saying that the administration was violating the Constitution. However, the lawmakers soon back-tracked on the impeachment talk, seeing to how it might be more applicable to cases of corruption or treason. According to some in the Convet, it would have been treason to cooperate with the Englean Kaiserreich in any capacity regarding the Baggnagian situation, even if Sunrisian and Englean positions coincided on the coup d'état by the Socialists in Baggnagia. The Convet opposes general cooperation with the Englean Kaiserreich as an adversary. President Addél Dîlectên referenced this in his earlier admission of Sunrisian covert military involvement in the Baggnagian “anti-coup”, by mentioning that Sunrisian and Englean positions coincided on the Socialist power-grab, but that Sunrisia would not have supported an Englean intervention, even if they were to have fought the same enemy as Sunrisian forces alongside Baggnagian “counter-coup” forces.

Opposition parties in the Convet have pushed forward the idea of a select committee to investigate this particular covert Sunrisian military operation in Baggnagia that was kept a secret from the Convet, as well as past possible covert operations, current possible ongoing covert operations by the intelligence services and the military of Sunrisia around the world, as well as make it ready to investigate future possible covert activities. The opposition appealed to the governing coalition, equally outraged at the President’s administration, to support the idea, however, only the Citizens Dialogue (CD) has been the only party from the governing coalition that reacted favorably to the initiative.

Convet Speaker Flórên Infána said that the lawmakers are expecting for President Addél Dîlectên to show up at the Convet and “explain himself”, as well as try to defend his administration before the lawmakers. Meanwhile, the Dîlectên administration has fired back at the Convet by defending their actions and the effect and outcome it had brought, in comparison to what had happened if the mission was announced and made public, before it was actually launched. The administration is referencing the President’s earlier address, where he opened up about Operation Righteous Reverse and admitted to Sunrisian covert intervention for the first time. Administration officials say that the arguments presented by the President in that address, even if there was admission made that it went beyond protocol and beyond the legal or constitutional boundaries, has still “done the job” and thus the administration has nothing to regret, since Baggnagia as a country was saved with a brief military operation for generations to come, according to the administration. Also were prior Sunrisian accomplishments in Baggnagia, also according to the administration.

Breakthrough: Decision Reached On The Union’s Capital, Currency, Head Of State And Head Of Government

The local governments of Oblaren and Vesvai have finally reached several breakthrough agreements on finally building a true Union. The breakthroughs reached are on the single Oblarenite–Vesvaian nation’s capital city, the currency that will be used by the Union and on central government. It was agreed that the capital of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai will be Fortwel, the capital of Oblaren. That’s because it was a city where the Union Treaty was signed so it was agreed to be an appropriate decision to pick Fortwel over Aurisi as the Union’s capital city. The next decision made was on the currency. Right now the Union used two currencies: Oblaren’s Blaz and Vesvai’s Obliv. But the Union aims to create a single currency for both halves of the Union. The agreement was already reached but the single currency is still nameless and it will take time for it to go into circulation. Until that happens Blaz and Obliv will be further used as two currencies in the Union. The new single currency will either fully replace Blaz and Obliv or be the main currency while Blaz and Obliv will function as additional currencies if that’ll be possible. The final and most interesting agreement was on the central government. It was decided who the head of state and head of government of the Union will be. It was agreed prior that the head of state would be an Oblarenite while the head of government would be a Vesvaian. Oblarenites had nominated Russel Kelpir for President of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai. In turn Vesvai nominated its First Minister Jonathan Mollisal for Prime Minister of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai. Local governments of Oblaren and Vesvai accepted and recognized each other’s nominations for the Union government. The cabinet and other parts of the government like the single Union Parliament and single Constitutional Court will be decided on later. Vesvai’s side proposed creating a coalition between the ruling VHU party of Vesvai and the ruling party or parties in Oblaren to head the Union Parliament. For perfect balance the Union will probably follow a balanced system between the presidency and the parliament.

Socialist Government of Baggnagia in exile settles in the Englean Democratic Republic

KREISOW, ENGLEAN DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC – The Socialist Government of Baggnagia in exile has finally settled in its new headquarters. The leadership of the Socialists that still claims to be the legitimate sole government of Baggnagia has settled in the Englean Democratic Republic. A small island nation by names has obviously once been part of the Englean Empire but now exists separately. A communist Englean state is widely claimed to be a satellite of Librira and has adopted political and cultural influences from there over the years. The communist state has agreed to give a new home to the exiled Baggnagian Socialists. Although the Socialist Bloc has denied being openly communist after their coup their actions and rhetoric went almost straight in the old-school Marxist-Leninist territory. That included government structure and rhetoric among other things.

Madam President Sylva Čérny was thankful to Eastern Engleans.

We are grateful to you. A fellow nation of the people, the worker, the peasant and the proletariat. We could only dream of Baggnagia being like your nation one day. Your revolution succeeded last century. Our young Socialist People’s Revolution of April was disrupted before it could even gain momentum. A junta and their foreign sponsors came after us. But we hadn’t given up and we will return one day. If need be the Socialist Government of Baggnagia will continue for generations to come because we aspire to outlive the military junta. But we also hope the people will rise up against them sooner so that all of us here get to live to see the revolution return to Baggnagia. The April Socialist People’s Revolution is not dead.

I also would like to acknowledge the similarities between our people’s. The Englean people are split into two states. Over here you have a people’s government. In the west you have fascist imperialists. Baggnagia was in an identical situation until recently. Of course we were less lucky because we never had a normal government in either of the separate Baggnagian halves. You had the fascists in the North and you first had corrupt thieves, nationalists and a military junta in the South. When the war ended there were juntas on both sides. After reunification there was now a single bigger junta. We were the only ones attempting to bring about a people’s government but our mission is facing difficulties now. I just wish not just for Baggnagians that our revolution of the proletariat reaches the Baggnagian territory one day. I also wish (of course if you will want that) so that all Englean territories are reunified under your flag the Democratic People’s Republic and not the Empire’s. I salute you, Comrades.

Union Prime Minister Jonathan Mollisal Addresses Formation Of Union Parliament

Former Prime Minister of the Dominion of Vesvai, First Minister of Vesvai’s part of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai and now newly chosen Prime Minister of the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai Jonathan Mollisal has talked about the progress on forming the Union Government. He said that all major steps have been completed and only a handful are left. But even without their completion the Union can already properly function as a single sovereign state.

The Prime Minister told the press that a common currency is still something left for the future but the local governments of Oblaren and Vesvai had already agreed on it. That announcement was made earlier. As said in the past the new currency’s still nameless, it will take time for it to go into circulation and the decision will have to be made if it will replace the Blaz and Obliv permanently or will those be kept as side-currencies. The Union should also have no trouble with forming a common court system including the Constitutional Court according to the Prime Minister. The only major and basically finishing step that the Union is stagnating on is the Union Parliament. That part of the integration is stagnating because it has finally exposed the differences between the systems that were in place in Oblaren and Vesvai separately. This might have an impact on forming the cabinet but not necessarily. President Russel Kelpir and Prime Minister Jonathan Mollisal can lead half of that process and help pick nominees for cabinet positions. But obviously a Union Parliament will be needed to approve that cabinet and basically to pass union-wide laws. That’s where the last major obstacle to finishing the integration lies.

PM Jonathan Mollisal did not go into details but said that Vesvai’s side initially expected for a coalition government to be formed for the Union between the ruling VHU party of Vesvai and Oblaren’s ruling party or parties. But Oblaren’s system is different and the Parliament there is more diverse with a lesser tendency to form coalitions and rather have a counterbalanced Parliament with many different parties counterbalancing at the same time. In Vesvai VHU is the ruling party and leads the government while every other party is in the opposition. With the difficulty to mesh the differing systems Vesvai’s side’s new proposal is to make Oblaren’s Parliament the upper chamber and Vesvai’s Pariament the lower chamber of the common Union legislature or vice versa and under a new name for both chambers.
