The finals will be the same as before, but with two parties left to choose from and more political promises and campaign ads, and the overall final debate. The spring election will take place on April 22.

Loud Kiddington and Ciel Phantomhive	The Grand Old Cartoon Party	Loud Kiddington Jr is the head of the Kiddington Toy Company, founded by his father. He is also a member of the Cartoon House Council. He will push for agriculture and economic policies to boost productivity in all of Cartoonia’s industries. He also promises to deregulate the economy, but not to much. Ciel Phantomhive is the owner of Funtom Corporation. A nobleman by nature, also a member of The Cartoon House Council. Had a terrible childhood and vows to reform the national police forces and ensure a system of foster care that helps children recover from trauma is strengthened. He also wants to strengthen up the military and open up on expanding Cartoonia’s current Imperial territories. Cartoon National Kid Convention, Gallagher Cartoonia, February 26, 2020

Members of the CNK once again gather at the convention hall of the Imperial Exposition Center. These people were celebrating. Their party advanced to the final elections, the most prestigious position to be. Candidates Nigel Uno and Conan Edogawa are esteemed to be chosen to be in the final running for the chancellor.

“My friends! Thank you for your support for our running for the office of Chancellor!” Nigel says. “The path to Chancellor is closer to our control than ever before. As the current majority party, sharing with the Radical Anti-Slavery Party, we have achieved more than in pervious years. Our expansion of power and protection of power must lie in control of both the house and the Chancellory. I now ask you, my friends, to test my faithfulness to the party. It has been a true honor to be here with all of you and to be one election close to winning the chancellery. To recap our beliefs, we seek to better the lives of this great nation’s children, maintain a large military to combat child abuse and slavery around the world, we seek educational reform and police protection, we want reform in social welfare and advancement in health science to combat the increasing dangers of the Coronavirus as well as advancement to protect and perserve our enviorment”.

A rousing rendition of Hearts of Oak is sung by the party members after hearing their winnings in the primary election this year. This is probably the first time that this party held its own in the election. Kiddington and Phantomhive raises cheers as they will go on to represent their party in the election.

“My fellow conservatives” Loud starts. “I want to thank each and every one of you for your support in the elections earlier this fall. Your support proves that conservatism is still alive and well in our glorious nation. It will surely bring Cartoonia to a new era, I won’t let you down and I will keep my election promises and beliefs. To remind all of you, we seek agricultural reform to help both our environment and economic output. We want to reform our police and foster care to help those who are in danger, strengthen our military and expand our empire. Furthermore, we see America as an enemy to our cultural heritage and conservative mindset”.

“As I mentioned before, Cartoonia is on the verge of the collapse of liberal ideas entering her. God knows what will happen if the world succumb to this. That is why we need to push for imperialism. Speech to citizens of Rosemary Village (Kiddington Campaign Train 2020).

LOUD: “The time for agricultural reform is NOW! As times change, the need for an abundance of food is now more important than ever to support our increasing population at home and across our empire. Unfortunately, the environment has gotten a tad bit overwhelming for our agricultural sector to take. As chancellor, I will make a promise to you that I will see a new system of soil-fertility based off the crop-rotation system we have had for centuries.

The British had used the four-field rotation, where they have acres of land dedicated to Wheat, barley, turnips, and clovers which the latter was used as feed for livestock, so instead of just acres of one singular crop, you have a variety of crops to yield from. I will be sure to regulate the agricultural sector taking a cue from the Norfolk four course system putting in modern elements in there, with such a surplus we can also find a way to develop the surplus into fuel to power our future transportation and industries for a cleaner and powerful tomorrow.

Say as much as you want on America’s AOC’s “Green New Deal”, this will help in preventing the closure of important economic powerhouses as we convert to cleaner fuels. The future of Cartoonia’s robust industries will surely help build our strength of empire as a whole and then the world will look up to us as inspiration. This is what I call the tri-perpetuation plan. Where we perfect agriculture, our industrial sector will flourish, and we will become an economic and hopefully a cultural powerhouse. Then surely we will live up to our motto “Cartoons Above All!”.

PRESS: Mr. Uno, do you have the answers to help solve the COVID-19 crisis.

UNO: I am working with my future cabinet to make sure that this international crisis is resolved. And I have advised the Supreme Leader on numerous occasions in the past month. I am working on a key strategy to combat this pandemic. I assure everyone that we will get through this. There may not be a COVID-19 case in Cartoonia, but our empire on the other hand is experiencing the crisis. We must not get sinked in with the rest of the world.

PRESS: Mr. Uno! Are you for the Supreme Leader’s executive decision to close all of our borders in our empire?

UNO: I am usually not for closed borders. Anyone who wants to become a Cartoonian citizen can do so. But in this time of crisis, it is allowed to prevent the spread of the virus in our homeland. The Supreme Leader is right to implement his limited powers to shut down our borders.

PRESS: Mr. Uno, What is the Supreme Leader doing at this point?

UNO: The Supreme Leader right now, is working with the other leaders of the world to send aid and supplies around the world. We have taken steps to fight the pandemic by calming the rest of the world down. We are the last bastion of hope from this virus since none of our citizens in the homeland, we need to provide everyone with essential supplies to get through this pandemic.

PRESS: Mr. Uno, aren’t you worried about our sailors and cargo personell getting the Coronavirus?

UNO: Believe me, I am worried. But now is not the time to be worried and not take action. We have taken the necessary precautions to ensure that our crew is protected and safe from the virus. Furthermore, we’ll plan to quarantine the ships returning from outside of Cartoonia and have doctors check and test them if they do catch it.

PRESS: Thousands of Cartoonians are becoming out of work. Mr. Uno, what are you going to do?

UNO: I have addressed this in my campaign, but we are going to set up some welfare programs and government projects to help those out of work find new jobs.

PRESS: Will our nation shut down because of this virus?


UNO: Since our nation has not been affected by the virus, we will not go into complete shut down. However, some of the territories we have do in fact are affected, therefore we have urged local governments to shut down. We hope and pray that we never shut down because if Cartoonia halts, culture halts. But we are prepared for the inevitable.

“People of goodwill and virtue. I think it is time we discuss a very serious and important issue that could in fact, change the world. I want to discuss future plans on Chinese-Cartoonian relations post-pandemic and actually right now. As we speak, the whole entire world, including our nation is conducting trade and treaties with the People’s Republic of China. I believe at one time, they were an economic powerhouse in their own right. But as times change and this pandemic continues on around the world, we need to begin to trace back to where this happened. It just so happens that this virus can trace back to China. These so and so, “wet markets” was the cause of the virus to begin with as well as an unregulated consumption of various meats. Recently, the Chinese government has decided to reopen these wet markets despite this pandemic. Well, to that I say no longer. No longer will we deal with China’s ignorance. No longer will we bow down to the will of the Chinese government like the rest of the world has done. As chancellor, I will demand the world to pull their buisnesses out of China and then close them off from the rest of the world. I will go to the UN personally to ask all leaders to cease relations and trade with China once elected chancellor. This is not about the virus anymore. This is about the free markets being free and not under Chinese control, and this is also about free speech being threatened by the Chinese market. I have also consulted with Ciel, and we plan to sue China for three accounts of the virus, withholding free speech, and polluting our enviorment. On that note, I will also plan to cease relations with America. Though President Trump has been very generous in the past, including seceding Texas to us, I think that their liberalizing society has ruined the culture of Cartoons and Anime. PRESS: Mr. Kiddington, are you opposed to China as stated in a previous speech.

KIDDINGTON: YES! In the past decade or two, China has slowly been getting on my nerves, and my fellow constituents have to agree.

PRESS: What do you mean by that?

KIDDINGTON: In the past decade, they have slowly taken jobs around the world and made outsourcing promises to these companies, and now unemployment is on the rise round the world, ESPECIALLY in America, though I do not care for. With our mass media comes China coming in and censoring everything to appeal to the Chinese masses. They have oppressed various religions, they have oppressed the people of Hong Kong, they have slowly crept up in military might, and let us not forget the current pandemic caused by the Chinese government’s incompetence to food safety standards. And all of this is because they are communists.

PRESS: It sounds like you hate the Chinese people

KIDDINGTON: I hate China and its government, but their people have nothing to do with the communist, authoritarian government led by that Whinie the Pooh character. I visited the United States before the Trump administration and I spoke to some Chinese-Americans and not only are they real nice folks, but they are also sane. They do not agree with China. I am only referring to the insane communist government that tries to ruin everything for everyone.

PRESS: So what will your course of action be as Chancellor?

KIDDINTON: My course of action is to persuade the world leaders to pull all outsourced industries out of China. This in turn will bring jobs to unemployed persons around the world, thus boosting the economies which will help with trade. I will also initiate an international trade embargo on China, and as compensation for the crisis, I will personally write up a list of what we demand from the Chinese government.

PRESS: And what is it you demand?

KIDDINGTON: We demand $3.2 Billion in reparations and an additional $2.1 Million to each of the nations affected by COVID-19. Then we ask for China to secede the provinces of Hubei, Anhai, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian, and Hunan to Cartoonia to be put under our imperial control. We also demand that China recognize Taiwan as an independent nation and release Hong Kong at once. Then I will demand for them to dismantle their military in half. This is an international crisis we have in our hands. And I will not stand by and let China get away with it because of their size. Even if it means that the nation has to go to war.

KENT: Good evening ladies and gentlemen, Kent Brockman here. Tonight, we finally finish up what has started last year. The Cartoon Chancellor election is an important part of the great Cartoon Democratic freedoms we take for granted. This Cartoon institution is over fifty years old and is still going strong. As the local elections around the provinces draw to a close, the office of the chancellor is still up for grabs by our final two candidates, and while not as much people have filled up the seats of the convention due to the current pandemic, citizen still gather here with the heed of distancing themselves from each other, and aside from that, Cartoon Television and Radio Studios will provide facilities for discussion of issues and current events, as they always do. Though Cartoonia does not have any affected citizens, one must not be too careful when it comes to COVID-19. Tonight we welcome the candidate from the Cartoon National Kid Party, Secretary of Child Safety, Nigel Uno, and the candidate from the Grand Old Cartoon Party, Councilman Loud Kiddington. We will have opening statements between the two members, Mr. Uno, if you would like to start.

NIGEL: That I would (silence)(throat clearing). Citizens of Cartoonia. We live in troubled times ahead. These times are of international panic around the world but not at home. I firmly believe that we, Cartoonia, need to be strong in our stance against the virus and show the world what the imperial might of the Cartoon nation can do to help levitate the situation we have in our hands. I believe that creating basic universal resources, whether it be healthcare, educational resources, material goods, raw materials, and cultural resources, sharing these resources with the world during this pandemic is crucial for both the world and Cartoonia. As we speak, Supreme Leader Jimmy Kudo is talking with world leaders on Zoom to discuss plans of trade and aid to the countries infected by the virus. If the world falls, so does Cartoonia. I think it is vital for Cartoonia to keep production high and shipped out around the world to keep the world afloat. We must restrict the free market a little while longer in effort to combat these hard times. And when the world recovers, Cartoonia will be on top of the world indeed. And when we get on top, we have to consider those of lesser standing in Cartoonian society. There are those who live under the poverty line, not too deep but still under the line. There the workers who are being replaced by machinery in industrial capacities, there those who live in a van down by the river. There are those who cannot afford basic healthcare. We need to provide for these people and for the safety of their children. we have to maintain the Cartoon-child utopia we cherish so dear to every heart of Cartoonian blood. We shall stand strong, with the right vote, we shall come out on top. Are Cartoonians doing enough to help this effort? Is Cartoonia providing enough aid around the world? That is all.

KENT: Wonderful Mr. Uno. Councilman Kiddington, if you would like to say a few words yourself.

LOUD: Yes sir. (Silence). My fellow Cartoonians. As we approach Election Day, we must remember why we are voting this week. We are voting for a person who will bolster Cartoonia and lead the government to make the right decisions every time. As a well mannered Councilman, I make sure that my interests are in the best interests of Cartoonia. During this time, we remember to help other nations abroad, but we must remember too that Cartoonia must keep its economy running. The problem is not sending enough aid, the problem is that it could lead to globalism and forced cultural diversity to enter Cartoonia. We are strong enough with our culture, and I do say that the culture of leftist, socialist, communism is spreading to Cartoonia and it’s territories because of the damned Chinese Government and those foul and corrupt communist leadership. I want Cartoonia to be strong against the whims of Communist society. And in this fight home, we must fight it abroad. I want to challenge China to an arms race, and would propose the idea of a Cold War. Cartoonia must remain a contender for Industrial expansion. We must champion the free nations and denounce empires of evil like China. We must Drabble into talks of war with China and fight off these forces of evil, for they are the ones that got us into this pandemic into the first place. Never ending lies from these communist. We must usher in a new era of Cartoon prosperity among this crisis.

Cartoonians have known about the coronavirus for at least three months; as late as April 4th, eighteen days before the election was originally scheduled, CNKP Presidential candidate Nigel Uno confidently declared that Cartoonia would not enter a full lockdown as no cases had been reported in the nation up to that point - before lamenting the country's economic 'stagna[tion]' a week later. Kent Brockman has since confirmed at the first debate that there remain no cases. Some pertinent questions:

• To the national health ministry: How many Cartoonians have been tested for the virus, and why are social distancing measures and fully-blown economic lockdowns being applied if there are no cases in Cartoonia whatsoever?
• To the Electoral Committee: With how much notice was the election rescheduled to May, whose decision was it, why was it rescheduled in light of there being no cases in Cartoonia, and why was it not rescheduled for much later?
• To Kiddington: Who do you propose ought to rule Hong Kong, if not the People's Republic of China?

KENT: Welcome back ladies and gentlemen, we return to the debate between Secretary of Child Safety Nigel Uno and Councilman Loud Kiddington. And now we are joined by correspondents of all major Cartoon educational institutions and major television institutions, as well as international correspondents. We will now take issues and debate topics from the correspondent, first for Councilman Loud Kiddington from correspondant from UA Academy, Izumi Midoryia.

IZUKU: Councilman Kiddington, over the course of recent events, you have publicly denounced the People’s Republic of China. Some might say that you have demonized China. Political opponents have said that you plan to go to war with China and show them no mercy. What do you say?

LOUD: Mr. Midoriya, I can safely say that yes. I want China to bow down before us. I want the communists to be out of power. I believe I was 12 years old when I entered the council and over the years I have seen in recent events of Communist China taking advantage of our trade deals with other nations. It has also been brought to my attention during my time as councilman that the Chinese communists have been censoring and demonetizing the Cartoon entertainment sector of our glorious empire. It makes about 35% of Cartoon revenue, that is more than our fast food franchises, industrial sectors, and weaponry markets combined. It is a huge chunk of our economy that China is ripping off of us. It does not help that China is producing the most pollution, the most reckless tourism board, and the most trouble militarily. I can not express my sincerest condolences for the people of Hong Kong because of the Communists in power. I am a firm believer of Cartoonia makes right from wrongs of other nations and my administration will seek reparations from China that will be estimated at $5.5 billion Toonisuas, secession of some Chinese provinces, and the recognition of Taiwan and Hong Kong as independent states. That is the only way to show China who is boss, and if demands are not met. I am more than willing to declare all out war against China. I believe our military stands ready in regards to this kind of war. Any politician who thinks that war is avoidable are living in a fantasy bubble of their own who can not stand for Cartoonian sovereignty.

KENT: Secretary Uno. Do you have a rebuttal? Or any comments?

NIGEL: Yes I do. The question here is not of communism and China, the question is how WE can prevent another pandemic from piercing through our economy and tourism board ever again, and likewise the environment. I am a believer of the international forum, the United Nations, the World Assembly, and all other economic and military blocs we agreed to. I believe that our military is to enforce the will of the international community and the laws that need to be enforced. The only time that Cartoonia is to use its military force for its own gain is on our imperial territories in invasion or revolt. Otherwise, we must introduce economic and social reform to help alleviate any crisis when it comes. Councilman Kiddington does stand by some good and interesting points. But these points are not to be taken lightly with the international community. I think that Cartoonia stands stronger with strong allies who are willing to help us out. Cartoonians have known about the coronavirus for at least three months; as late as April 4th, eighteen days before the election was originally scheduled, CNKP Presidential candidate Nigel Uno confidently declared that Cartoonia would not enter a full lockdown as no cases had been reported in the nation up to that point - before lamenting the country's economic 'stagna[tion]' a week later. Kent Brockman has since confirmed at the first debate that there remain no cases. Some pertinent questions:

• To the national health ministry: How many Cartoonians have been tested for the virus, and why are social distancing measures and fully-blown economic lockdowns being applied if there are no cases in Cartoonia whatsoever?
• To the Electoral Committee: With how much notice was the election rescheduled to May, whose decision was it, why was it rescheduled in light of there being no cases in Cartoonia, and why was it not rescheduled for much later?
• To Kiddington: Who do you propose ought to rule Hong Kong, if not the People's Republic of China?

Before international lockdowns, several Cartoon citizens have been tested and none had signs of COVID-19. And guidelines have been put in place for quick notification of anyone who does get the virus. Social distancing has been put in place because one should be safe rather than sorry. The economic lockdown is to ensure essential materials are sent to industries to help provide for the aid effort by the navy.

TOM: Secretary Uno, your political opponents have said that your policies are that of a socialist democrat. What do you say about that?

UNO: Mr. Tucker, I firmly believe in the economic and social reforms of this country. A country is healthy and happy when their citizens are. That does not mean that I am a socialist politician. I am very much for the free market economy and little to no government interventionism. I just believe that some major reforms are needed for the well-being of our citizens. The more we spend on social and economic reform, the more money the people will have in their pockets and that money will flow straight through the economy and the cycle repeats. I have seen many politicians in America that are not for bailouts and relief bills. Particularly House Democrat Leader Nancy Pelosi. While her constituents starve in their homes, she’s in her San Fransiscan mansion going through 2 gallons of expensive ice cream from her $24k freezer. I am not the type of politician who would go on late night television and flaunt my wealth in front of starving thousands. That is exactly how the French Revolution started, and that is not okay. I want the people to be secure in wealth, nutrition, health, and job security. My policies are to help Cartoonia thrive in the now and the future, and when Cartoonia thrives, the world thrives.

HANI: Right now as we speak, there is a coup d'etat that took place in the country of Crossoveria, who had violated Cartoon sovereignty in the past decade or two. The ACE has also planned to invade Cartoonian soil as we speak, trying to convert our children to animals. What do you plan to do in this situation?

KENT: Who wants to go?

LOUD: I will. These events are often just a blip in the world. Usually I prefer to not get involved in a nation’s internal affairs. However, if it is a threat to Cartoon sovereignty and children around the world, then by God! We shall rain upon a force which said nation has ever seen. That is the principal of our Cartoon imperialism policies that had made this world a better place. I personally think that we shouldn’t get involved in Crossoverian affairs. But the concerns are with the ACE organization and since that breaks the trust of Cartoonia’s deals and treaties and endangers the lives of children, then have the world know that we are ready for full out conflict with the nation. Let those adversaries know that we will use the greatest extent of our military forces to rain hellfire and revenge for those children, and protect Cartoon national soverignty

NIGEL: I would like to say in regards to this, there has been a rumor that I have been transformed into a seal. Be rest assured that I have never been a seal in my life. As for military action in Crossoveria, I think peaceful negotiations are best. I have recently come across a document signed by the former queen of Crossoveria, and now leader of The United Socialist States of The Imagination Animals, wrote away basic rights for its citizens ESPECIALLY the youth. Now I agree with Councilman Kiddington, armed conflict is indeed necessary, but a show of force would scare these people, not to mention using the document as blackmail, into going back on their words in the treaty. War is necessary, but at times it can be averted too.
