A spectre is haunting NationStates—the spectre of communism.
All the powers of old NationStates have entered into a holy alliance to exorcise this spectre: raider and defender, fascist and propertarian, conservative reactionary and milquetoast liberal.
Where is the party in opposition that has not been decried as communistic by its opponents in power? Where is the opposition that has not hurled back the branding reproach of communism, against the more advanced opposition parties, as well as against its reactionary adversaries?
Two things result from this fact:
I. Communism is already acknowledged by all NationStates powers to be itself a power.
II. It is high time that Communists should openly, in the face of the whole world, publish their views, their aims, their tendencies, and meet this nursery tale of the Spectre of Communism with a manifesto of the party itself.
To this end, Communists of various nationalities have assembled in the NSLeft and sketched the following manifesto, to be published in the English language.
1. Decentralize the Secretariat!
Power for the Secretary-General? No! Power to the people!
Caelapes will devolve Secretariat power to local regional soviets and workers' councils! Say no to candidates who want only power for themselves, without fighting for the voice of all nations!
2. Eliminate Super-Delegates!
World Assembly resolutions are decided by the top 1% of endorsement-holders, disenfranchising thousands of nations!
Caelapes will give equal nations equal votes! Let each nation's vote have worth! End the practice of refusing to acknowledge nations' voice—let all nations be involved in World Assembly decisions!
3. No mods, no masters!
Corrupt site administrators and moderators have thrown their weight behind establishment puppet-candidates who want to make decisions without your input! They have spent four years preventing any breakup of the deadlock and yet have the audacity to suggest that the lack of progress is due to your esteemed Secretary-General. We see through the lies!
Caelapes has been a statesman of the people! Down with oppressive deep-state oligarchs and their meatbag puppets! Uphold worker control of NationStates! Get the octopus-tentacle hands of these marionetteers out of our regions!
