Yeah, no; he's a mess. And not suitable for missions at all. If you guys want him for an NPC he's yours.

If he gets used, Cy might let you have control of him. We've had player-controlled NPCs on occasion in past RPs

Mercatus, sorry about what the fight devolved into, but most people voted to just get everything moved on, so we're trying to wrap up one or two story things, and then we're time skipping to the next morning and the main plot, finally.

Just gonna put this here while I take the time to fill the questions in. It's a questionnaire of 100 questions for original characters to answer in-character. The link is here.

100 QUESTIONS- Kenny Lim Chun-ji

Part 1: The Basics
What is your full name?
My birth name and legal name is Lim Chun-ji (림춘지)- my surname Lim means "forest", and my given name Chun-ji means something like "pond in the springtime". These days, though, I go by Kenny. As in Kenny McCormick, from South Park.

Where and when were you born?
I was born in Jeju City, in the north of Jeju Island, Korea. 26 April, 1998.

Who are/were your parents? Their names, occupations, personalities?
My father's name was Lim Jong-hyeon. He was a... some corporate manager or something like that, I don't really remember. Nor do I give a damn. My mum's name is Son Eun-hye. She's a general practitioner specialising in occupational health, and she runs two clinics, one in Jeju [City], the other in Seogwipo.

As for personality... well... my mum is kinda shy, soft spoken... sometimes a little emotional, but generally the sweetest person I know. Very smart, for sure, and very well-read. I would say she's the kind of person anybody could get along with easily.

My father couldn't be more different. He was loud and brash. He got angry really easily. He said the most horrible things ever. I think the only time I've ever heard Mum raise her voice is when he got pushy with her. Frankly, I have few good memories of him, and I... if it weren't for the fact that it affected Mum so much, I honestly wouldn't have cared much that he'd gotten himself killed in Japan.

Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
I have an older brother and a younger brother. Chun-kang and Chun-hu. They're both noisy shits, but they have their moments.

Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.
Aside from Argus HQ, you mean? Well... I grew up in my parents' house in Jeju, but they were hardly ever around, so I was usually alone with Chun-kang and our nanny. Some time after Chun-hu was born, the three of us went to live with our maternal grandparents in Seoul. There we lived in their apartment, which was just outside Hoehyeon Station. So we were really close to Namdaemun market.

I don't remember as many of the city-folk as I do the people in Jeju. The city is generally depressing. Nobody remembers anybody because everybody's too busy just trying to stay afloat.

There was one particular person I remember. Somewhere in the heart of Namdaemun Market, there's a tiny old ajumma who sells grilled garaetteok for 1000 won (about US$0.80) a stick. She was probably in her mid-80s, very hard of hearing... I hardly ever saw anyone buying from her stall, because there were so many other more interesting things around, and also because her cart just didn't look that clean and welcoming. But I've bought garaetteok from her ever since I came to the city...

I'm not sure if she remembers me, but I'll definitely remember her. She reminds me of my grandmother on my father's side.

What is your occupation?
I like to consider myself, first and foremost, a person of medicine. It's hard to find an exact word for it. I was a combat medic in the army, and I hated the army, I swear, but still, I was- and still am- proud to be a combat medic. I always said, I considered myself first a medic. I don't think I've ever considered myself a soldier.

Up till now, I was in medical school, studying to be a doctor. I suppose I could call myself a doctor, but I've always felt like I aspire to be something more than just that.

Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks.
Oh me? I'm not all that interesting looking. I'm 170cm (actually 169, but whatever) tall, and I weigh... about 50-something kilograms, last I checked. I'm kinda skinny... I've got frizzy black hair... I wear glasses. No tattoos or scars or anything of that sort.

I've seen one or two girls checking me out before. I've seen a guy checking me out once before, too. I don't know.

To which social class do you belong?
Haha, I would say the bourgeoisie. My father earned big bucks. The car he crashed was a Lamborghini.

Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
My lungs only function at three quarters capacity. I blame the army for it; sometime in the beginning of my second year of military service, I was down with the flu, but my officer commanding insisted that I follow them out for an exercise anyway. I ended up getting pneumonia and being warded for two or three months.

These days, I'm starting to get my fitness back, but the damage to my lungs is irreversible. That and... if I'm not careful, any respiratory infection could potentially kill me.

Are you right- or left-handed?
I'm left handed.

What does your voice sound like?
Kinda like Jun Fukuyama, if I may say so myself. Or Donald Trump, if I'm drunk. Hahaha.

What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently?
That's funny, I've never really thought about it that much. Some of my English-speaking friends tell me I used to say "basically" a lot to fill my sentences. These days... not so much, as far as I can tell.

What do you have in your pockets?
Um... I've got my wallet, my phone, my T-Money card- that's a public transport card- and that's about it.

Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?
I know I chuckle a lot when I talk to people I'm not very familiar with. People scare me, hahaha. I suppose it's how I try to show them that, hey, I don't mean you any harm.

Part 2: Growing Up
How would you describe your childhood in general?
Without elaborating too much, I would say it was, well, fragmented, for lack of a better word. I had a lot of fun, especially when I grew up in Jeju, closer to the countryside, but at the same time, my family situation wasn't particularly good. My father was a man whose mood could change very quickly. One moment he'd be happy, and then the next moment, you say something, and he just... totally devours you.

I'm not sure how my other siblings feel about it all. I know Chun-kang was closer to my father than I was. Mum says she loved him very much, but I could tell that she was very, very tired of his bullshit.

Of course, I am aware that I grew up with a lot of material comforts, but if you asked me whether I'd trade it all to have a happier childhood and a better relationship with my parents... I'd... I'd take it, you know. No questions.

What is your earliest memory?
I think it was the first time I met my grandmother from my father's side. She came to visit us in Jeju, back when I was three or four years old, and she stayed at our place for a month. I didn't quite know who she was at the time, but I do remember spending a lot of time playing in the fields outside the city with her, sitting in a cafe for hours on end while she read stories to me.

I learned from my father later that she died just about a week after leaving. Her cancer had spread from her liver to her lungs and her stomach, and she... well, she wanted to spend time with all of us to see that we were all alright, before she left.

I never met my paternal grandfather. He died six months before I was born.

How much schooling have you had?
I am halfway through medical school. I disrupted at the end of my second year to serve a contract with Argus.

Did you enjoy school?
Elementary and middle school were kinda fun. High school, on the other hand, was hell for me. I had very little time to spend with my friends, and I was very overworked. Very. I nearly attempted suicide once, around the middle of third year. After that, I was on medication all the way till I graduated, and it... well... it wasn't fun, is what I'd say.

Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
Aside from my medical skills, you mean?

I picked up taekwondo in my first year of high school. That was... 2015, if I remember correctly. My coach was this skinny old guy- we called him Mr Oh. I think his full name was... Oh Chung-il, or something like that. He was a beast. I was quite chubby at the time, and he really helped me lose weight and, generally, made me more conscious of my health, on top of fighting and all that. I'm not ashamed to say that I did enjoy looking good for once in my life, you know, with abs and serratus and all that. Hahaha!

After I left the army, I wanted to go back to Mr Oh to train, but it turns out he'd retired. So I went to train at this other guy's studio. Mr Lee Gwang-hyuk. He was quite different, more of the flashy, celebrity fighter kind of guy, but it was fun nonetheless. I definitely learned a lot from him. He taught me a bit of Wing Chun for fun, but I never quite figured out how it worked, hahaha.

While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.
Three people in particular.

First, and perhaps most of all, Mum. She's a very strong person, in her own quiet, humble way. She ran back and forth from her two clinics and managed all the business expenses on her own, all while taking care of us three and dealing with my father's bullshit. She never took her frustration out on us. I hope... well, I hope I can one day be as strong and patient as her.

Second is perhaps my uncle. My mum's older brother. He's a mortician, and a lot of people looked down on him for it, but he was always so cheerful, and he took so much pride in his job. He used to say, "People can say what they want about me, but when they die, it's me who prepares to send them off into the next world". He taught me that you should never look down on anyone because of their occupation.

Third is my taekwondo coach, Mr Oh. He really pushed me to my absolute physical limit, and aside from teaching us how to fight and all, he showed me that fitness is important for happiness. Heck, he was 74 when I first began training under him, but he could probably dislocate a horse's neck! If not for him, and for taekwondo, I probably would have just gone ahead and killed myself in year 3.

While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?
I've always been closest to my mum. My father was a monster, and Chun-kang... he was just a typical older brother, asshole at times, cool mentor and partner in crime others, but I never really clicked with him all that well. Chun-hu is an arrogant little shit. HAHAHA!

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Believe it or not, I wanted to be a taxi driver. I had a phase when I was 7 or 8 when I really loved cars. After I moved to the city, that all changed. I really, really hate cars.

As a child, what were your favourite activities?
I read a lot of books. My mum was fluent in both Korean and English, and so was I, because she spoke both at home. I read a lot of books in both languages. Too many to really recall them all. I'd say my vice at the time was buying a lot of books and then not reading them all.

As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?
I was a lot more shy back then. I still am, but even more so when I was younger. I had friends, but I was always, well, the sidekick. If you ask me, I don't think I've ever been, like, protagonist levels of frontman or anything like that.

As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like?
To be honest, I'm a bit of a social chameleon. I make friends with a lot of people, but I'm not particularly close to anyone in particular. Most of the time, I hung out with the other taekwondo boys. That's about all I remember. After I left the army, I cut contact with everybody I met there. I didn't want anything to do with them.

When and with whom was your first kiss?
Oi. I'm not gonna tell you.

Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?
Ugh, fine. Here we are, I guess.

I'm technically a virgin, but I have gotten as far as... well, heavy petting, with somebody, during high school. That's all I'll tell you. Stop asking.

If you are a supernatural being (i.e. mage, werewolf, vampire), tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities.
To be quite frank with you, your guess is as good as mine. I woke up one day, about six months after my early discharge from the army, and I found that I could heal wounds just by putting my hand over the part that was wounded. I suspect something might have happened during the two or so months that I was in a stuporous state, but... they wouldn't tell me anything.

Part 3: Past Influences
What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
Probably my brush with death and my leaving the army afterwards. It really helped me appreciate life a lot more.

Who has had the most influence on you?
My mum. And my father, much as I hate to say it.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Making it into medical school, definitely. I never thought I could do it, and even though I did, I sacrificed... so very much.

What is your greatest regret?
That I wasn't able to have a better relationship with my father. I know it's pretty much all his fault, but still... as much as I say I don't give a damn about him... I sometimes wonder what it'd be like to have an actual relationship with my father, like other people.

What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
I remember after I was discharged from the army, and I went to visit my father's grave for the first time, when nobody was around. That moment, after I put the flowers there and all, there was this... wave of rage... that just overcame me. I felt so angry at all the things my father had done, how he'd tormented Mum and the three of us, how he only ever cared about his job and his image...

I just spat on his grave. Right there.

Before you ask. I'm not afraid of him coming back to haunt me. I was at the time, but I don't fear my father anymore. I'm beyond that.

Do you have a criminal record of any kind?
No. Thankfully.

When was the time you were the most frightened?
When I was hospitalised for pneumonia, they gave me some experimental painkillers. They made me hallucinate so horribly. I saw all kinds of horrible things that I don't even remember. Time was stretched so far out. It was like a single hour had become an entire day. It took me a while to get over that. The next few months of my life were... well... a very dark period for me, which explains the spitting thing and all. I became very paranoid, began reading up on the spirit world. Practical Kabbalah and Shinto exorcism rituals and things like that...

A couple of months later, I got a message from Kyo-hee- the captain of my taekwondo team back in high school- and he asked me, "Chun-ji, where have you been? I haven't heard from you in so long. You're worrying me". And that was when I began to pull myself together. I said to myself, "Enough of this living in fear". It was a slow process, but thankfully, I managed to get back on my feet, barely in time for my early enrolment into med school.

What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?
I once shat myself on a public bus, when I was 14. Don't ask more. I had food poisoning.

If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?
My relationship with my father. I wish he'd been more of a father than just a cash cow, and I wish... I wish I'd tried harder to reach out to him. Maybe that might have changed things.

What is your best memory?
Remember I mentioned when my grandmother came to Jeju to visit us just before she passed? It's definitely that, I have to say.

What is your worst memory?
Probably a tie between my depressive episodes in high school and my post-military paranoid state.

Part 4: Beliefs And Opinions
Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?
I like to think I'm somewhere in between. I believe humanity has an inclination towards evil, yet at the same time, I believe it's still worth clinging on to hope that the future might be better.

What is your greatest fear?
That humanity can't pull itself back from the edge of ruin in time, and we end up destroying ourselves and the world.

What are your religious views?
I am an agnostic. I believe that there's got to be a god somewhere out there, but I don't really know who it is, nor do I care. It gave us the power to think for ourselves, anyway, so why should we waste time praying to it and asking it what to do?

My father was a hardcore Methodist Christian. Stone all the gays, only vote for Christian politicians, that kind of hardcore. Mum says she‘s a Christian, but I feel like it's just force of habit from keeping him happy. I’ve never seen her go to church or anything ever since my father died.

What are your political views?
I’m not that into politics myself, but I suppose I do consider myself something of a socialist. I believe that it is the duty of governments to provide for its citizens; in that sense, I suppose I would vote for Bernie Sanders or Jeremy Corbyn.

I am also an anti-nationalist. I believe patriotism and national pride are evil, and that they are responsible for many of the woes we face today in the modern world. People should not divide themselves based on arbitrary symbols and boundaries.

What are your views on sex?
Sex... well, it’s something that should remain a private matter. I’ll leave it at that.

Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable?
Killing, I believe, is wrong. Intentional killing, at least. Even in self defence, I have reservations about taking another living thing’s life.

For that reason, I’m a vegetarian. Though I’d eat meat if you served it to me at a party, of course. Hahaha.

In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?
To throw others under the bus in order to get ahead in life.

Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?
I’m not the most qualified person to comment on that. Hahaha.

What do you believe makes a successful life?
I believe success comes when you’re content with yourself and the impact that you have on other people’s lives.

How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)?
To be honest, I find it very hard to be open with my true feelings. I’m very guarded by nature, and I think growing up with an overbearing father didn’t help with that at all.

I wish I could open up more easily at time, but I suppose... such is life.

Do you have any biases or prejudices?
I can’t say for sure. I know I look down on military nuts and boots, hahaha. Other than that, I can’t really say for sure.

Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it?
I don’t think there is any one thing that I would absolutely refuse to do. Life has a strange way of forcing you into corners you never even knew existed.

Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)?
At this point in time, I would be hard pressed to say what exactly I would be easily willing to die for. It’s no easy decision, and especially if we’re talking about beliefs or ideals... I wouldn’t be willing to sacrifice my life, because I’m afraid I might be wrong. Maybe if I had children of my own, I’d take a different stance, but at the moment, I don’t really know.

Part 5: Relationships With Others
In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how?
There isn’t really an in general for this sort of thing. It all depends from person to person. We all change our mannerisms and personalities to some extent depending on who we talk to. I am of course not comfortable sharing details of my personal life with others, until such time as we are, you know, close enough.

Who is the most important person in your life, and why?
I would say my mum. She’s been at different times my protector, guardian, mentor, friend, and everything in between. I’d be a very different person if it weren’t for her, and... well, I’ve not been able to talk to her as much as some other people, but she’s made the biggest impact on my life as far as I’m concerned.

Who is the person you respect the most, and why?
My mum, too. For the same reasons I’ve mentioned above.

Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people.
I suppose, besides my mum, there’s... um... my team captain, Hwang Kyo-hee. Really friendly guy, kinda cute, really talented fella. There’s Ingvar, my Swedish pen pal, but I’ve never met him. I only know he’s a weeb, hahaha. I’m also pretty close to my second taekwondo coach. First name terms, all.

Not to mention the other Argonauts, though I suppose I’ve yet to get to know them well as of now.

Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person.
I used to, briefly, when I was in high school. I’ll leave it at that.

Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened.
Like I said... I’ll leave it at that.

What do you look for in a potential lover?
We’ll see what we shall see.

How close are you to your family?
I’ve elaborated more than enough on that already, thank you very much.

Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not?
That’s not a question I’m ready to answer just yet.

Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help?
Probably my mum, or my coach. Or someone like that. Depends on what kind of help I need.

Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why?
At the end of the day, I think I’m the only one I can trust to protect myself. Not that I don’t trust my mum or my grandparents or my other friends... I just don’t want to burden them.

If you died or went missing, who would miss you?
My mum, my grandparents, my old team... maybe my brothers.

Who is the person you despise the most, and why?
Aside from my father?

Well, there was this one guy I knew from the army. He was an officer, a fellow conscript, but he acted as if he was some hot shit. Wouldn’t stop trying to make life difficult for everyone just because he had power and we didn’t. Eventually, I hear that after he left the army, he couldn’t get a place in any local universities, nor could he find any job that he wanted.

The arrogant twat got his just desserts, I say.

Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict?
I try to stay away from argument as much as possible. I’m too shy and bashful for that sort of thing.

Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations?
Leadership is way overrated. These days, it’s become more of a cult thing than a meaningful and serious position. People worship leaders and aspire only to become leaders themselves, but once they’re in power, they either crumble or abuse the position. Maybe it’s my bad experiences with leadership in the past, but I’d rather eat from a toilet bowl than hold any leadership office.

Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not?
Depends.

Do you care what others think of you?
Deep down, no, but superficially, I do. I try not to worry too much, but it’s just my inclination. I’m still working on not caring as much as I do.

Part 6: Likes And Dislikes
What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes?
Let’s see... I practise taekwondo pretty often- up till recently, I’d go to the studio twice a week or so. I like cycling in the less built up areas of town...

I read a lot of books too. Lately, I’ve been very into Akutagawa. I have a volume of his short stories, which I’m slowly making my way through.

I also listen to music quite a bit. I like David Bowie, courtesy of my grandfather. I also listen to some classical. Mostly Beethoven and Sibelius.

What is your most treasured possession?
I have a complete set of David Bowie vinyls, from David Bowie 1967 all the way to Blackstar. Most of them I inherited from my grandfather, but I had to go out of my way to get hold of Station to Station and Lodger.

Of course, I own a gramophone at home too. And some other vinyls. Sibelius tone poems and all that.

What is your favourite color?
Red and black.

What is your favourite food?
Cold soba with vegetable tempura. Especially eggplant tempura.

What, if anything, do you like to read?
Depends on my mood. Right now I’m reading a lot of Akutagawa, like I mentioned. I also like Han Kang... Haruki Murakami... Ooh, and Tolkien. Especially Tolkien.

What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)?
Dimming the lights, sitting down with a cup of hot chocolate, putting on some Sibelius, and reading a book. Alternatively, turning the lights off entirely, putting on I’m Afraid of Americans on loop, and cracking open a lot of cold ones.

Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit?
I like beer. I don’t drink very often- at most twice or thrice a month- but I do love me a cold pilsner after a stressful day of studying. I don’t intend to quit, but for the sake of my health, I’ll definitely limit my consumption to the way it is.

How do you spend a typical Saturday night?
Preferably quietly.

What makes you laugh?
When pigeons do stupid things.

What, if anything, shocks or offends you?
I’m not really offended by anything, to be honest.

What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself?
Oh nice, a question I can answer. Hahaha.

I know when insomnia hits. I know what it feels like. So when I get the feeling, I just tell myself “screw it”, and I turn the lights back on, play some music, and continue reading or studying. Anything to keep the demons at bay.

How do you deal with stress?
Depends on the time of the day.

Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan?
As much as I try to convince people that I have a plan for everything, I’m actually a natural improviser. I don’t really intend to change that- trying to fight my nature and plan everything out military-style just makes me more stressed and depressed.

What are your pet peeves?
Bad music. And people who feel the need to get offended at everything.

Part 7: Self Images And Etc.
Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted?
As far as I can tell, I haven’t got much of a set routine aside from study and not-study. I do what I feel most like doing during my downtime. There are some things I always make a habit of doing, like working out and dental care and all that, but I honestly... can’t be bothered to come up with a strict timetable or anything like that. I’d feel so imprisoned.

What is your greatest strength as a person?
I’d say my ability to empathise with others and to read their emotions and their inner feelings. I’ve always been good at that, and I think it’s helped me to build more meaningful bonds throughout my life.

What is your greatest weakness?
More often than not, I have a tendency to be very emotionally affected by criticism. It’s something I’m quite frustrated by, but I’ve come to accept that it’s just my nature. I don’t think it’s something I could fight, realistically speaking, so I try to just... work around it, I suppose.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I want to be just a little taller.

Are you generally introverted or extroverted?
Generally introverted. Though I get along fine with most people, social interaction tires me out very quickly.

Are you generally organized or messy?
Have you ever seen the state of my room? Just a reminder, I left the army almost two and a half years ago. My days of being organised are long behind me.

Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at.
I’m very good at... cooking, reading between the lines and finding nuances in languages, and singing.

I’m very bad at being organised, at sticking to my plans, and any sports that involve balls.

Do you like yourself?
At the very least, I don’t don’t like myself.

What are your reasons for being an adventurer (or doing the strange and heroic things that RPG characters do)? Are your real reasons for doing this different than the ones you tell people in public? (If so, detail both sets of reasons...)
My goal in life is just generally to help people be happier. To that end, I believe that the best way I can achieve that is by working to make healthcare and medicine more accessible to all. Of course, things are a little more complicated than that, but in general, that’s how I see it, and that’s how I’d describe it to other people.

That being said... I’m something of a natural adventurer myself. I can’t let myself stagnate. I would very much hate to be stuck doing a normal, 9-5 office job, or anything along those lines. Life is too short to do such boring work.

What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?
That’s rather hard for me to quantify.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Heck, I don’t even know where I’ll be in a year.

If you could choose, how would you want to die?
In my sleep.

If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left.
I’d enjoy a cup of coffee at a cafe overlooking the sea, listen to all seven of Sibelius' symphonies back to back, along with Finlandia, Lemminkäinen's Return, and Tapiola. Maybe throw in some Bowie too, since I've got the whole day. That and, if I’m married or attached, to play a game of chess with my S/O.

What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death?
I’d like to be remembered either as a person who made the world a better place, or as a person who led an interesting life. Preferably both.

What three words best describe your personality?
Introverted... creative... idealistic? I don’t know, haha.

What three words would others probably use to describe you?
Heck if I know. Ask someone else. Hahaha.

If you could, what advice would you, the player, give to your character?
No need to worry too much about what the future brings. Just stay true to yourself, and take things as they come. If you achieve what you set out to do, then great! If not, then at least you tried. The world is like that. It is what it is.

Yes, of course. I don’t know what I’ll be doing a year from now... but I promise it won’t be boring!

Okay, this app is gonna need some work to bring it up to the quality the others have put in.

With the powers, super strength is fine, but some clarifications to how much he can lift, move push, etc would be appreciated. And if you don't include it under powers, it should most definitely be included in the limitations section. " Many Enemies, Easy To Hate, Hard To Work With Others" Are not drawbacks or limitations to his powers, that should be described in the personality section, but note that he is supposed to be asked to be on a team.

Additionally, if you want him to also be durable (able to take hits as well as give them) you need to list durability as a power as well.

For personality, I would like a sentence: pretend as if you are trying to tell someone else what kind of person he is.

For bio, I would ask that you add a bit more; a paragraph, preferably. Tell about things like how his upbringing shaped his personality, how he discovered his powers, how he started to use them for good, when he decided to become sanctioned and why he decided to join the Argonauts.

And for Fears/Phobias: what I take from "Socialists, China" is that he'll cower in fear if I show him a picture of Sanders or the Chinese flag. If you keep that, I'll hold you to it.

100 Questions - Quandary

Part 1: The Basics
1) What is your full name?
Quandary.
I told the Argus people it was "Claire Elise Endicott-Grey" but literally no one ever called me that. I've had a lot of names, whatever I wanted it to be at the time or whatever would get me something.
Claire was a stupid, ignorant, selfish and mean girl that thought way too much of herself and I'm leaving her behind.
I am Quandary.

2) Where and when were you born?
I don't know.

3) Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.)
I don't know that either.

4) Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
*sigh*

5) Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.
Argus HQ, Zurich, Switzerland. It's insane sometimes and terrifying other times and I have my own room which is so big I don't even know what to do with it and a shower which is the best thing in the entire world.
The Argus people are decent, at least, so far as I even interact with them, which isn't much for obvious reasons.
The Argonauts are mostly crazy, which is okay I guess because I am too. Some of them are really violent, which is a whole lot less okay. Some of them seem to notice me, at least more than normal people do.
Chief is a chimpanzee who is also a person. He was the first of them I talked to and he was very kind and nice and seems like a really good person I thought I could learn a lot from; but then I saw him get really, like, violently angry and now I don't know what to do with that. I don't know yet if he will remember me.
Tara is a really scary robot lady, only don't call her a robot because it hurts her feelings. I did that and it started a huge mess that almost destroyed the group. I don't know if I can trust her but I don't know how to trust anybody, but she remembers me at least and kept one promise to me so far and that's more than anyone else has ever done.
Fionn is her friend, I guess? He's a pale kid who is good with machines I guess? He's got a robot suit so maybe that's why they are friends. He doesn't remember me, so that's making things difficult.
I haven't met too many of the others yet, not properly, but that's not an excuse. There's a woman with a wicked scar on her face that seems complicated. I like her owl. I made faces at it once and I gave me these funny, grumpy looks. There's another girl with a tail, an Asian kid with killer headphones I'm jealous of (Argus took my Discman away), a woman with rainbow hair and bug antenna (and I think maybe wings?) that I'm not 100% sure is real yet. I tried LSD one time and I read flashbacks are a thing. There's more people but a lot of them are rich and super aggressive and meeting all of them at once was like, a lot. Oh yeah, and Marty, the guy Tara got in a fight with in the conference room and the guy with the fork, ah... Nick. And a French kid that likes people to know he's rich.

6) What is your occupation?
Superhero in training, I guess?

7) Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks.
I mean, not much to look at? I'm not tall, not short, brown hair, grey eyes. A little too chubby, so the doctor says, because the way I used to eat when I was Claire was "appalling". That's getting better, though. I can almost run all the way to the gym without wheezing once. I've got some freckles and a tattoo that's private. I dress in Argus stuff because that's all I have. It's nice that they are clean, though.

8) To which social class do you belong?
The lowest one, I guess?

9) Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
Besides mentally? I'm kind of a marshmallow but that's getting better.

10) Are you right- or left-handed?
Right

11) What does your voice sound like?
I don't know, don't use it much I guess. I've talked more this last month than I have my whole life. Not high, not too low. A little raspy sometimes, maybe? I don't know.

12) What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently?
"Like", "I guess", "maybe". I've been saying "sorry" a lot. I was a pretty messed up person.

13) What do you have in your pockets?
"What has it got in its pocketses?" Heh. Most times my tin, which I guess is my precious, and lately the bracelet the therapist gave me at the other base. The one that shuts your powers off.

14) Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?
Probably everything I do is strange and annoying.

Part 2: Growing Up
15) How would you describe your childhood in general?
A blur.

16) What is your earliest memory?
A kind-faced woman with dark curly hair and a pink headband saying "Let's find you a home!" I think she must have been one of the first child services people. I think she meant it too.

17) How much schooling have you had?
Fourth grade, I think, is when I stopped going. No point.

18) Did you enjoy school?
No. Hell no.

19) Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
Public library, and watching other people.

20) While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.
I could say something inspirational about noble people in books, but not really.

21) While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?
F*** you.

22) As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Loved

23) As a child, what were your favorite activities?
Public libraries are the best, especially children's libraries. Most children's librarians really love kids, so they would see me, help me, watch out for me. At least while they were at work. I tried following one home once, I guess I thought she could take care of me? It didn't work.
Movies are great too, because you can just walk in and watch all day. It got too sad though, for awhile.

24) As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?
I wasn't introspective enough then to know.

25) As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like?
Next question.

26) When and with whom was your first kiss?
This really cute boy named David, back when I was still in school. We were sitting together on the playground and I just went for it and I didn't know he didn't see me and he woke up like a second into it and boy, was he surprised. After the yelling and searching the school for the "ghost girl" I decided to just stop going.

27) Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?
Not, and none of your business.

28) Tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities.
I got arrested by Argus and they told me.

Part 3: Past Influences
29) What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
I guess getting arrested.

30) Who has had the most influence on you?
Argus. They're helping me turn my life around. Coulda sent me to jail.

31) What do you consider your greatest achievement?
I spent the night in the White House one night. That place is definitely haunted, the way the Secret Service and the first lady acted.

32) What is your greatest regret?
Pretty much everything up to this point. Making fun of Tara, then finding out, like, a minute later all the horrible stuff they did to her.

33) What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
Making fun of... No, that's not true.

Okay, so, the whole not being noticed thing doesn't always work, but it took awhile to figure that out. If someone really wants to see you, or something you are, they can see you. That's how Argus found me right away, they had my picture on video.
Also, if there's not a lot around, you stand out more. So a girl in the middle of a busy mall; basically invisible (except to horny boys, but they don't see you, exactly). A girl in a dark alley by herself... with a gang of horny boys... I think you know where that's going.
I ran, around the corner out of the alley, and there was a cab pulling away and a woman in fancy clothes I guess who just got out and she was a little drunk I think and maybe a hooker but probably not and I ducked into a doorway and curled up small and concentrated as hard as I could at being small and invisible and... And I will never not hear her screaming. Ever.

34) Do you have a criminal record of any kind?
Argus, maybe has one.

35) When was the time you were the most frightened?
Okay, so, I'd been on the road a couple of years, I guess. I had a really bad day. I had this idea that I'd stand out more in a small town; fewer people, "everybody knows everybody else", that kind of thing. Didn't work, I don't know why. It was a big church community, North Carolina, I think; maybe they just didn't like outsiders.
But anyway, I got desperate, went to their "bingo night" or whatever, whole town is there. I take the sheriff's gun out of his holster, fire it into the ground – didn't want anyone to get hurt – fire it until he tackles me, him and his deputy. They throw me in the squad car, throw me in jail, but I'm happy, crying happy. They see me, they seem nice, from what I saw, and they see me; I'll explain, they'll help me.
They get another call.
I was almost two weeks in that cell, screaming, crying, banging on the bars. Two weeks, drinking out of the toilet, starving to death.
Finally, they open the cell to put some drunk farmer they picked up in there, and just about pushed them over getting out. I think that might be the first time I did the thing, where I guess I teleport.

36) What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?
The thing with Tara.

37) If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?
All of it.

38) What is your best memory?
It might be that Tara remembered me the next day, but that's clouded by how angry I was at her because I was stupid.
Okay, one time, I was up really early, and this was before I had to leave New York because of the... the alley thing. I went up to the top of the Empire State building and watched the sun rise over the city, and it was beautiful and I didn't feel so alone because the city below was waking up and you could hear all the people and the cars and they were my people because I was like their queen, or their god, and they weren't ignoring me, they were just afraid of how much they loved me.
It's stupid, forget it.

39) What is your worst memory?
Pick one.

Part 4: Beliefs And Opinions
40) Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?
Pessimistic. Hope hurts you.

41) What is your greatest fear?
Lonliness. And jail.

42) What are your religious views?
God doesn't care about me and I don't care about him.

43) What are your political views?
You have to be part of a society to care about it's politics.

44) What are your views on sex?
It's a sometimes useful way to get a hot meal and/or a bed for a night. Unless they pull a gun on you in the morning, which has happened more than once.

45) Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable?
It's never come up. When it's my life on the line, I guess. Running is better than fighting, though.

46) In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?
What they did to Tara.

47) Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?
I'm just going to write "Eye Roll".

48) What do you believe makes a successful life?
Surviving

49) How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)?
I don't know what a 'true self' is. If the things you do aren't who you are, what does that even mean? I think this idea of a 'true self' is a lie people tell themselves to make them feel better about the shitty things they do. I've listened to people in confessionals "Oh, I'm doing all this bad stuff, but I'm a good person at heart" and the father, the priest guy says, "oh, you're forgiven, so you are a good person" but they don't stop doing the same shitty things every day. What's the difference between a bad person that does bad things, and a "good" person who does bad things?
Anyway, I'm not a very good person, but at least I'm honest about it.

50) Do you have any biases or prejudices?
A lot, apparently. The worst being I thought I was better than "regular" people.

51) Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it?
Guns, for starters, because I think I explained why.

52) Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)?
If I'm being honest; nobody. I'd say me, but dying for myself doesn't make sense.

Part 5: Relationships With Others (HAH!)
53) In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how?
Up until I met these guys being rude was one of the ways I could sometimes get people to pay attention to me. That went really wrong with Tara. I'm trying to change.

54) Who is the most important person in your life, and why?
Me. Because I was all I had. I'm trying to change that too.

55) Who is the person you respect the most, and why?
Chief, because he seems like a better person than most people.
Tara, because if they did that to me I would murder everybody.
Mr. Hollands and Mr. Owens, for giving me a chance.

56) Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people.
I hope, Chief and Tara. Maybe Fionn, maybe some of the others too. Baby steps.

57) Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person.
F*** you.

58) Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened.
No. Take that however you want.

59) What do you look for in a potential lover?
A warm bed and a meal.

60) How close are you to your family?
F*** right the hell off.

61) Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not?
No, and I don't want to. Because obvious reasons.

62) Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help?
Argus, probably.

63) Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why?
Me.

64) If you died or went missing, who would miss you?
Nobody

65) Who is the person you despise the most, and why?
Whoever did that to Tara.

66) Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict?
Avoiding conflict is the only way I've stayed alive, so far.

67) Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations?
Clearly not.

68) Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not?
I like hiding in large groups, but not interacting with them. Interacting with large groups, in my limited experience, is intimidating, confusing, and dangerous.

69) Do you care what others think of you?
No, just so long as they think of me. Which is not often.

Part 6: Likes And Dislikes
70) What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes?
Reading, mostly.

71) What is your most treasured possession?
A breath mints tin with some mementoes in it.

72) What is your favorite color?
"Blue! No, yellow... Auugh!" Seriously; stupid question.

73) What is your favorite food?
Chinese food. I used to follow a large family into one of those Chinese restaurants that served meals family-style, and just eat with them and pretend I was a part of them. It got sad after a while though.

74) What, if anything, do you like to read?
Everything, but Dune and Kurt Vonnegut are probably my favorites.

75) What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)?
I like all kinds of music, almost and movies are fun.

76) Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit?
Not regularly. Drinking and drugs are dangerous for me since I'm... I was alone. I can't risk being out of my head. I've smoked cigarettes a few time when really freaked out, mostly to have something to do with my hands.

77) How do you spend a typical Saturday night?
Same as any other night. Look for food and a place to sleep safe.

78) What makes you laugh?
Monty Python, Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett. Oh, and when people with cellphones run into things.

79) What, if anything, shocks or offends you?
What they did to Tara

80) What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself?
Read.

81) How do you deal with stress?
Run away.

82) Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan?
Plans are stupid. Life is unpredictable, you have to be able to adapt.

83) What are your pet peeves?
My life isn't stable enough for that BS.

Part 7: Self Images And Etc.
84) Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted?
There's no such thing as a "normal day". The one time I got into a routine, Argus arrested me. Which I guess wasn't the worst thing.

85) What is your greatest strength as a person?
Resilience.

86) What is your greatest weakness?
Everything.

87) If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Everything. All of it. From day one.

88) Are you generally introverted or extroverted?
I am obviously the sparking, vivacious, super bubbly life of the party. Obviously.

89) Are you generally organized or messy?
Being messy means you lose stuff if you have to move quickly.

90) Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at.
Good: Hiding, running, reading.
Bad: Talking to people, relating to people, and people.

91) Do you like yourself?
Not really.

92) What are your reasons for being an adventurer (or doing the strange and heroic things that RPG characters do)? Are your real reasons for doing this different than the ones you tell people in public? (If so, detail both sets of reasons...)
Not going to jail.
Seriously, I'm starting to understand that being "different" doesn't make you "better" than other people. And it doesn't give you a reason to take advantage of them, either. In fact, it's like, the opposite. The therapist said I was learning to empathize with people, and that I wasn't before because I was so hurt that they didn't show empathy for me, and that not right but empathy isn't a "quid pro quo", which means an even exchange. Basically meaning life isn't fair, which I knew, obviously. But what it also means is that if you have a skill, or talent, or power, instead of helping yourself only with it it's like your obligation to help everyone you can with it. Because if someone had ever helped me I wouldn't have been hurt so bad, so if I can help someone else to not be hurt, maybe it makes what I suffered, I don't know, worth something? I don't think I'm explaining it right.

93) What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?
To be loved.

94) Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I can't think that far ahead.

95) If you could choose, how would you want to die?
In my own bed, surrounded by friends and family and piles of money and a dog... shyah. It doesn't matter. Dead is dead.

96) If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left.
I hate hypotheticals.

97) What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death?
I'd just like to be remembered when I'm alive.

98) What three words best describe your personality?
A. Big. Mess.

99) What three words would others probably use to describe you?
'Who was that?'

100) If you could, what advice would you, the player, give to your character? (You might even want to speak as if he or she were sitting right here in front of you, and use proper tone so he or she might heed your advice...)
"You poor child, it's going to get better. I hope."

A few questions:
Firstly, how well known are Metahumans/Superheroes? And for how long?
Secondly, would you mind if by "very limited heroics" I use "is technically a police detective, but mostly uses his power to observe things and crack programmings at ungodly hours."

So here's the TL;DR: of my powers, most will be transplanted from other threads related to MHA and Infinites: The Dork Nights

"While observed to be physically and mentally more adept than most children his age, in combat, his mind slips into a trancelike state, where his mind can completely focus on hand to hand combat. In this form, he truly becomes superhuman in terms of healing, agility and strength. While not invulnerable, this form allows him to analyze, and react quicker even more impressively. Through training, and meditation, this trancelike state can be used to analyze crime scenes, and make observations of startling detail. Taylor also trained excessively in various martial arts, and often relies upon good old fashioned smarts and fisticuffs to win the day, rather than bubble-guns or destructor-waves. The young boy seems content with his seemingly plateaued Quirk, opting to become a "Superhero Detective" rather than a flashy hero."

“I can do things in my sleep. Literally. Doc Hilton says I have all the symptoms of a crazy person, but none of the problems. What he means is, while I should be a narcoleptic, seizure-throwing insomniac who by all medical sciences ought to be drooling in a padded cell. Yet I’m holding a stable job of being a freelance data-analyzer, and helping tutor people in Japanese. At night, of course, my sleep schedule is... unique.

First and foremost, I only need six hours of sleep. Tops. It doesn’t even have to be in one sitting, just so long as I get it. Perfect for ops that need me to stay up hours. Then I can “self-hypnotize”. You know how sometimes a dog can run when they’re asleep? I can do taekwondo in my sleep. Maybe. Mostly. Point being is I can hold my own best when I’m out. Something about me being able to perceive during REM, meaning if you see me blinking like mad during a scrap, I’m in that mode. It allows me to assess who’s friend and foe, and adjust accordingly. Only works for stuff I’ve practiced. You want me to fold a hundred towels in ten minutes flat? I’ll do it in nine minutes and fifty seconds. Repetitive tasks are my forte.”

I'm thinking more of a super-detective than a super-hero, but still can hold his own in combat. Would this be acceptable?

First and foremost, I only need six hours of sleep. Tops. It doesn’t even have to be in one sitting, just so long as I get it. Perfect for ops that need me to stay up hours. Then I can “self-hypnotize”. You know how sometimes a dog can run when they’re asleep? I can do taekwondo in my sleep. Maybe. Mostly. Point being is I can hold my own best when I’m out.

For your first question, I recommend perusing the lore thread. It answers your question in more depth than I can offer here.

Second question, hard to know until OP sees your app. Doesn't hurt to post the full character and then work with Cyberiad to make sure it's good to go.

Secondly, would you mind if by "very limited heroics" I use "is technically a police detective, but mostly uses his power to observe things and crack programmings at ungodly hours."

It's acceptable but also pretty damn weak. Like, you could just be good at martial arts and analyzing stuff normally, and then also have a power that actually does something.

Jumping on the 100 Question Bandwagon because I am bored...

Part 1: The Basics
1. What is your full name?
Mireille Floressa

2. Where and when were you born?
Born October 19, 1996, in Val-d'Or, Quebec, Canada

3. Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.)
Father's name was Julien Floressa. He worked for a mining company based in Val-d'Or. All I can remember of his personality was that he was kind, compassionate and funny, at least to my 6 year old self. Oh yeah, he's now dead.
Mother's name was Sara Thane-Floressa. She was a stay at home mom, and was like my father; kind, compassionate and funny, at least to my 6 year old self. Oh yeah, she's also dead now.

4. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
Nope

5. Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.
Right now? Living in the Argus Headquarters near Zurich, Switzerland. To be honest, it's too soon for me to give an opinion on those I am now living alongside, i.e. the rest of the Argonauts and the staff at the headquarters.

Before being brought here, I was living out the back of my 2010 Ford Transit, that I had converted solely so I could live out of it. Why live in a van when my uncle left me a perfectly good house? Well, a girl's gotta have some secrets.

6. What is your occupation?
Superhero Magician. What? That is what I am. Currently a member of the Argonauts, but prior to joining I was a travelling magician who dabbled in hero work on the side.

7. Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks.
I am about 165 cm, or about 5 foot 5. My weight is my own business. I am caucassian, as you can tell by the colour of my skin. My hair is brown and so are my eyes. I tend to dress either in a suit like this, or in more casual wear, but not dresses or skirts or anything lacking pockets. I tend to keep my hair short because it aids in the look I tend to go for. That look is not so much as a woman, likely due to the fact that there are fewer woman magicians compared to male, and I do not want to just be known as a powered and skilled woman magician, but just as a powered and skilled magician.

8. To which social class do you belong?
Lower Middle I guess? I mean, even when living on the road I never wanted for anything, but that could be due to me just not wanting anything more than food and supplies for my next show, so yeah... next question.

9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
I am disease free, with no physical weaknesses. That said, I do have a minor allergy to cut grass. Nothing much, just if I go rolling around in it I can expect to have watery eyes and a stuffy nose afterwards.

10. Are you right- or left-handed?
Right-Handed

11. What does your voice sound like?
Some have said I have a silvery voice, that it is clear, pleasant to the ear, and light. It has also been described as soft but not quiet. I do not speak with an accent normally, but when I have been known to slip back into a Quebecois accent on occasion.

12. What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently?
I mean, when frustrated... Tabarnak.

13. What do you have in your pockets?
The real question is what don't I have in my pockets. Got my wallet, my business cards, always try to have one new deck of playing cards and an opened deck of playing cards, my phone with earphones for chilling, hair pins, pocket change, my notepad, a pen with black ink, a stress ball, a set of random keys that don't open anything, a pair of dice, a lighter, a pocket flashlight and a handkerchief. What? Got to be ready to put on a show whenever.

Part 2: Growing Up
14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?
... I did magic for a living, need I say more?

15. How would you describe your childhood in general?
Good. Parents died. Sad. Moved in with Uncle Thane. Very Good. Uncle Thane died. Very sad.

16. What is your earliest memory?
My mother plays her violin for me. I don’t remember why she was playing, what she was playing or how old I was, but I do remember her playing it for me.

17. How much schooling have you had?
I dropped out of high school in the eleventh grade, due to the death of my uncle.

18. Did you enjoy school?
I did. Sure, I struggled with some classes, but overall it was a good time.

19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
For the most part with my uncle, Oswald Thane. I learned spanish and japanese without his help, instead with the help of a few friends.

20. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.
Numerous magicians from throughout history. However, the most important role model I had growing up was my uncle. Sure, after his murder he was revealed to be a criminal, but no one is perfect. He was a good man, and I stand by that to this day.

21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?
Parents did love me up till their death, I believe. My uncle did care for me, and he was really like a second father to me. So did I get along with him? Well, for the most part yes, but we had some rough patches, almost always my fault.

22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to use my abilities to bring a smile to the faces of others, so some sort of entertainer, which I then eventually narrowed down to magician because that was what I was good at, even without Showman's Trickery.

23. As a child, what were your favorite activities?
Practicing with Showman's Trickery with my uncle, and helping my uncle with his show. I also enjoyed reading books by famous magicians, watching famous magicians, listening to music and watching movies.

24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?
After the death of my parents, I definitely was withdrawn, but that didn't last.

25. As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like?
Was I popular? Well that's a difficult question... I mean I was known throughout the school, but not exactly popular. My friends, well they were for the most part just average kids trying to survive childhood. You could actually count all my friends on one hand. There were 5 of us, including myself.

First, there was my best friend, María José Costa. How to describe her... well, she was the most popular member of our little friend group. She was like the big sister of the group. When any of us got into trouble, she was there to give us a hard time. She was also the first friend I made after moving in with my uncle, as she lived just next door.

There was also Blaine Stevens and his twin brother Frankie Stevens. The twins as we called them. They could have been described as chaos incarnate. Always messing about, getting into trouble, and really just living their best lives. Absolute headaches for María, but good guys at their heart.

Destin Thornton was another friend in my little group. No one messed with Destin, except the twins and myself. He was big, tough but had that heart of gold. Really, he was our big ol' teddy bear who would still whoop the ass of anyone who messed with any one in our group. That or punt them, like seriously, I would not have been surprised if Destin had super strength or something. I could have swore that he and María had a thing for the longest time, but then I discovered that he had a thing with Frankie.

And finally there was Miya Akoto. Little Miya was the shyest member of our little group. Moved to Vegas with her father from Japan when we just started high school. If María was the big sister, Miya was the little sister that everyone needed to protect, she was just that sweet. Miya also had a lot of hidden darkness behind those eyes of hers, which may have been part of the reason why everyone in the group was so protective of her. She did move back to Japan a few months after my uncle's death.

I still keep in touch with them all, after all, they are my friends, and each one of them did help me after my uncle died in some way.

26. When and with whom was your first kiss?
Hey, a girl's gotta have some secrets.

27. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?
Do you really think I'll tell you that after refusing to tell you who my first kiss was? Answer to the first part is no, but I am not going to answer the second part.

28. If you are a supernatural being (i.e. mage, werewolf, vampire), tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities.
Well, that would be due to my uncle. He told me of my abilities, and taught me how to use them.

Part 3: Past Influences
29. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
The death of my uncle.

30. Who has had the most influence on you?
My uncle.

31. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
That's tough... either lasting 5 years on the road as a travelling magician, which mind you is a difficult trade, and occasional hero, or being called up by Argus to join the Argonauts... can't say...

32. What is your greatest regret?
Ever doubting that my uncle was a good man at heart.

33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
...
Used my powers to cheat at cards... I was young alright, my uncle just died, and I was going through a tough time. Besides, the asshole had it coming.

33. Do you have a criminal record of any kind?
What are you trying to imply? Just because my uncle was a criminal, doesn't mean I have a record. I do not have a criminal record.

34. When was the time you were the most frightened?
After my uncle died and all his secrets came to light. I was afraid that he was not the man I thought he was.

35. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?
Umm… I can not think of anything. Maybe getting the names of the twins mixed up on occasion, but that is about it

36. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?
Nope. I would change nothing from my past. You see, I am who I am today because of my past. Every experience. Every good day, and every bad day. They were all important in making me who I am today.

37. What is your best memory?
My first time helping my uncle with his show.

39. What is your worst memory?
Do I really need to answer that... Finding my uncle's lifeless corpse.

Part 4: Beliefs And Opinions
40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?
Glass is half full.

41. What is your greatest fear?
Do you really want to know? Escalators. Stairs are not meant to move on their own. They are an evil resultant from human laziness and advancement. Escalators and not being able to spread joy with my abilities. But mainly Satan's stairs, also known as escalators.

42. What are your religious views?
Meh. Atheist.

43. What are your political views?
That's for me to know, and you to never find out.

44. What are your views on sex?
If you are going to engage in it, be sure to do so safely. Look, if I wanna woohoo with someone, I'll woohoo with them, assuming there is a connection.

45. Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable?
I mean... yes. I do think I have the ability to kill. Does that mean I'll wanna do it, hell no. The only time when I would deem killing acceptable is if it's my life or theirs. My life is more important to me than the life of someone wanting to kill me. After all, I can't go around spreading joy if I am dead.

46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?
Purposefully toying with the life of another individual, and in doing so take away things that are important to them.

47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?
Look, just because I do magic, both show magic and real magic, doesn't mean I buy into superstitious mumbo jumbo. No such thing as soul mates. True love though, that might be a thing, but such a thing would take time to develop and would not be as easy as snapping your fingers.

48. What do you believe makes a successful life?
Happiness, but not just your own. A good life, a successful life should be measured by the number of people who get to smile because of you. Be that by protecting them or just bringing them joy.

49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)?
I am a magician, which makes me a professional liar. That said, it also makes me the only liar that you can trust. You can trust that a magician will fool you in order to bring a smile to your face. That said, I do not hide my thoughts or feelings.

50. Do you have any biases or prejudices?
Not that I can think of.

51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it?
I mean, I would be lying to say nothing, because I can't truly know if there is something I will absolutely refuse to do until such a thing comes up. I can say that I absolutely refuse to harm the lives of those I care about, and those I am looking to protect or make happy.

52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)?
My friends. And, hopefully in the future, those I can call family.

Part 5: Relationships With Others
53. In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how?
I try to treat everyone with a smile. When I first meet someone, there is no possible way I can understand them with just one meeting, so I try my best not to be rude to someone I first meet, or treat them with anything but respect. That said, if I do know of them, and I don't feel like they deserve my respect, they ain't got it. So yeah, my treatment of others does tend to change as I get to know them, but then again, that's normal for humans.

54. Who is the most important person in your life, and why?
I assume you mean alive. In that case... María

55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why?
Again, I assume you mean alive. In that case... María

56. Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people.
Well, I hope to make more friends among the other Argonauts, but going in I still only have my friends from my days in school, María, the twins, Destin and Miya.

57. Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person.
Nope.

58. Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened.
Again with these types of questions. Yes I have been in love before, no I am not going to tell you what happened. Why? Because it's unnecessary.

59. What do you look for in a potential lover?
Hahahahaha... Wait, you're serious? I ain't tell you.

60. How close are you to your family?
Umm... about 6 ft when I visit. They are dead after all.

61. Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not?
Not yet. Ideally, I do eventually want to settle down and start a family. Why? Because I do, simple as that.

62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help?
Well, seeing as I have yet to establish any meaningful connections with the other Argonauts, María.

63. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why?
It should go without saying that I'd trust my friends from school, especially Destin. As for the Argonauts, I would trust them, only because we are supposed to be a team, and a team should look out for each other.

64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you?
María, Destin, Miya, and the twins. I hope that eventually some of the Argonauts will miss me if I died, but I can't expect that at this point in time.

65. Who is the person you despise the most, and why?
The man who killed my uncle. The man whom I won't even name. Enough said.

66. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict?
I tend to avoid conflict. After all, drama is no good for joy.

67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations?
I do try.

68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not?
Depends on how large is large, and the type of interaction. Go out for a few drinks with a group of 50 people, hell no, that's too chaotic. Going out for drinks with the rest of the Argonauts, I can do that. Put on a show for hundreds of people, yeah, I can do that too.

69. Do you care what others think of you?
Nope.

Part 6: Likes And Dislikes
70. What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes?
I do like sitting down just to listen to music or watch a good movie. That said, I do prefer watching movies with others. Beyond that, practicing tricks or designing new tricks is always fun. Same goes with just relaxing with people you can call a friend. Pulling out the violin or acoustic is also good, not only to keep from going rusty, but to just have a good time.

71. What is your most treasured possession?
My violin and my acoustic guitar. Not only because they are some of the more expensive things I own, but because they have sentimental value. My violin was originally my mothers, but it was passed on to me after she died. My acoustic belonged to my uncle, who passed it down to me on my 11th birthday.

72. What is your favorite color?
Yellow.

73. What is your favorite food?
Poutine, Tourtière, and Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. Can’t decide between the three.

74. What, if anything, do you like to read?
I read anything that catches my attention. I don't have a specific author or genre.

75. What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)?
Well, I am partial to magic, but then again, that was my job for the longest time. Music and movies are also great entertainment, and I don't tend to be picky.

76. Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit?
I don't smoke, or do drugs. I do drink on occasion. Why do I drink? Well, because I do. There is no deep reason for me going for a few drinks with friends, or having a nice drink in private.

77. How do you spend a typical Saturday night?
Relax. What I do to relax depends on how I am feeling. Do I wanna watch a movie? Do I wanna go out? Do I wanna go to bed early? It all depends.

78. What makes you laugh?
Too many things for me to list.

79. What, if anything, shocks or offends you?
This question. In all seriousness, I can't answer this question as I have not yet run into something that shocks me beyond being a suprise or offends me.

80. What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself?
First, I would seek medical help, because sleep is very important. Second, I would likely listen to music, watch a movie or practice my tricks.

81. How do you deal with stress?
Pull out an instrument, play a little song. Or go for a run. Most often, it’s the latter.

82. Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan?
I'd say I'm a bit of both. You have to be flexible. Planning is great, but you also need to be able to handle without one, just in case.

83. What are your pet peeves?
Don’t really have any.

Part 7: Self Images And Etc.
84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted?
Wake up. Shower. Get Ready for the Day. And then go from there. If something is planned, do that, if nothing is planned, do what I feel like. This way, my routine can’t really be disrupted.

85. What is your greatest strength as a person?
My personality. I am not anything special physically or mentally. Which leaves my personality as the only thing that could possibly be considered a strength.

86. What is your greatest weakness?
I can’t handle it when people insult my dead uncle… that and escalators, but mainly the former.

87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Maybe I could be a little taller.

88. Are you generally introverted or extroverted?
Extroverted

89. Are you generally organized or messy?
It’s called controlled chaos.

90. Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at.
What I am good at… Magic. Music. And driving.
What I am bad at… Sports. Cooking. And, well, technology.

91. Do you like yourself?
Yes, I like myself.

92. What are your reasons for being an adventurer (or doing the strange and heroic things that RPG characters do)? Are your real reasons for doing this different than the ones you tell people in public? (If so, detail both sets of reasons...)
No secret reason behind what I do. I just do what I can so others can be happy.

93. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?
My goal is to continuously bring joy via protection and entertainment. Therefore, it isn’t really a goal one can reach.

94. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Still doing what I can, ideally still a part of the Argonauts

95. If you could choose, how would you want to die?
Smiling while surrounded by people I call friends and family.

96. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left.
Put on one last show. Say my goodbyes. And wait for death to take me as I listen to my favourite songs.

97. What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death?
For bringing joy to countless people, by protecting them and entertaining them.

98. What three words best describe your personality?
Cheerful. Energetic. Magical.

99. What three words would others probably use to describe you?
I don’t know, ask someone else. I can’t say what other people see me as.

100. If you could, what advice would you, the player, give to your character?
“Nope.”

looking to make an app but before I start, what's your stance on a character transfering from say ASET or a similar government organization to Argonauts. Not a punisher style antihero type, but more wide eyed idealist that couldn't stomach the murkier parts of the black ops business and is looking for lighter change of scenery.

ASET are really more of a super elite team, and for lore reasons that really isn't viable.

As for the other option, this is Argus reaching out, not the other way around. So, you should make a character someone in Argus would want to add to make the team potentially look good. A shady black-ops operator doesn't seem like the best selection pool to me.

Argus Metahuman File

Name: Sabina Rojo
Alias: Xolotl
Age: 20
Gender: female
Image

Powers: Shape shifting: Sabina can take on the appearance and voice of any person she touches. Testing by Argus show that while she has an easier time going between her true appearance and another female is easier and she can hold the form longer, she can also duplicate male forms.

Telepathy: Sabina seems to be able to naturally pick up languages through physical contact as well as recent memories from within the last 24 hours. Argus is unsure if its connected to her shape shifting ability.

Drawbacks & Limitations:
Clothing: Sabina's powers only work on her body and voice, her clothing will not magically change or resize to fit her new physique
Shape shift duration: Sabina can only maintain a form for anywhere between 6 and 12 hours depending on how different it is from her true appearance. Interestingly enough Argus scientists have noticed this limit doesn't apply to her language skills.

Weaknesses: Physical contact: Sabina has to make physical skin on skin contact in order to do any physiological changes (height, body type, or skin color)
Scars: Any scars or wounds she receives will still be there even after she shape shifts, most noticeable being the long one on her abdomen.
Memories: Unlike her shapeshifting powers, the memories and languages Sabina acquires don't always seem to disappear.

Equipment and weapons: Collapsible baton, P320 handgun

BACKGROUND

Nationality: Mexican
Hometown: Juarez, Mexico

Personality: Despite... or possibly because of... the events of her teenage years, Sabina seems to always look at the brighter side of life. Always to the first to have a joke on hand for any occasion, Sabine does her best to keep those around her positive and upbeat like her. Under this happy go lucky facade though, Argus evaluators and training officers have noticed the occasional crack or two. While they haven't developed into anything as serious as split personality disorder, Sabina has been noted to be possibly suffering PTSD from memories that might or might not be her own.

Sabina prefers to think on her feet and would rather make it up as she goes along instead of intricately planning. The nature of her powers along with the experience she had with the regional cartels seems to have reinforced this thinking. This isn't to say she can't think ahead, as she's often found in the library studying other people and cultures, but she would much rather "wing it". Sabina is extremely loyal to Argus, while having a noticeable dislike for local authorities like fostered by her history with the Mexican police.

Bio: Born just outside of Juarez, Mexico, Sabina's childhood was spent under the oppressive boot of the various cartels fighting for control of the area. Growing up she watched as her parents lived in fear of the gangs and bowed to their every wishes, those that didn't disappearing to never be seen again. For a long time she felt powerless as this continued to happen, feeling like there wasn't any way to change things. Than she accidentally turned into her little brother the day after her sixteenth birthday.

A plan quickly formed in her head as she began testing the limits of her powers. Impersonating some of her classmates that were being recruited by the various gangs, Sabina began collecting info on them and their low level officers. As she got older, she got bolder, sneaking her way higher and higher into the ranks and giving the information she obtained to both US and Mexican officials. Unfortunately the later proved to be her undoing. As good she had been covering her tracks and keeping the cartels unaware of her true appearance, she hadn't practiced the same do diligence on her contacts and a crooked Mexican police captain had soon sold her out. The only reason Sabina survived was the timely intervention of an Argus team acting on her intel on meta's working for the cartels.

Argus Metahuman File

Name: Silvester Vorstein
Alias: The Ostrich
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Silvester is 6'2" feet tall and 175 lbs in weight. He is not built particularly athletically. While he is by no means fat, and does go to the gym casually, at most 3 times a week, he is nowhere near the physique of the average soldier, nor would you find a 6 pack if he were to undress. His skin is of a lightish tan, indicating a mixed background but most people (including himself) would identify him as white. He wears his black hair straight and mid-length, parted to the right on the days when he actually cares to style it. He sports no facial hair. His eyes are of a very common dark brown color, and his facial proportions are completely ordinary. If you only saw him in passing or for only a couple minutes, you wouldn't be able to recognize him days later in a crowd. As far as clothes go, when not using the team uniform he prefers wearing unpatterned long-sleeved shirts of dark colors, black longcoats or overcoats, black denim trousers, and low-heeled workboots.

Powers:

Absolute Transparency: A power which Silvester personally calls "Bypass Veil". Silvester can make himself, his clothes, and small objects inside of the pockets of his clothing completely permeable to external electromagnetic radiation, and can maintain this state for as long as he remains conscious. This power does not extend to objects he picks up after activating it (up to and including dust and debris that comes to rest on his body), nor to objects that leave the immediate vicinity of his body even if they were in range upon activation (up to and including his own blood if he gets wounded).

In practice, this looks on the outside more or less like what you would expect invisibility to look like, except it covers the entire electromagnetic spectrum, not just the visible spectrum. So it also has niche benefits like not getting burnt at the beach, dodging laserbeam and gamma ray radiation-based superpowers, and being able to stay inside an active human-sized microwave without dying (if there's ever a need for that).

Sequential Transparency: A power which Silvester personally calls "Blink". It is mostly similar to Absolute Transparency except that while active, he is only permeable to external electromagnetic radiation while his eyes are closed (whether he keeps them closed for an extended period of time or he constantly flickers due to the natural process of blinking his eyelids is up to him). Unlike with Bypass Veil, in the case of Blink Silvester doesn't have to consciously will himself to become transparent or opaque again every single time, only on initiation and shut down.

Extraordinary Spatial Orientation: Silvester is able to memorize the layout, objects, furniture, and positioning of people inside a room with high accuracy and for extended periods of time, even for large rooms, so as to be able to navigate it even while blind. However, he relies ONLY on visual memory to pull this off. In other words, if the "obstacle course" of the room changes because people move around or furniture gets shifted around, he doesn't actually possess the auditory acuity necessary to adapt to this any better than the average person.

This ability is not the same thing as eidetic memory. It does not allow Silvester to do things such as stare at the pages of a document and then replicate it word for word, nor draw extremely detailed portraits from memory after brief conversations with people. For the purpose of roleplaying, just assume it has very limited utility outside of allowing him to use Bypass Veil and Blink more reliably.

Average Marksmanship: Silvester has a couple dozen hours of shooting range experience, as well as a limited amount of real life firearms handling and combat experience, but nothing special. He also has no experience using heavy duty military grade automatic weapons nor sniper rifles, having been mostly exposed to handguns up to this point.

Drawbacks & Limitations: Most of the drawbacks of Silvester's powers (with only one exception, which will be detailed below) are a direct consequence of how his powers work, rather than being in any way separated from them. First of all, since he is completely transparent to light, his retina cannot absorb and process light, so he is effectively blind while using Bypass Veil (this is why his alias is The Ostritch. It is a metaphor for how, if he can't see you, you can't see him either.). Second of all, since this includes all external electromagnetic radiation, it also includes radio waves, so he cannot be contacted by his allies/Central while transparent (he can still send messages to them in a sort of one-way communication through his equipment though). Third of all, since his power only makes him transparent to external radiation, not internal radiation as well, anything he personally emits WILL be detectable to outside observers (so he does show up on heat scanners, and if for whatever reason the screen of his iPhone lights up, that will also be visible). Fourth of all, since his power covers a very small volume outside of his actual body, he can't extend it sufficiently to cover, say, a suitcase or backpack, so if a mission would require him to use his powers a lot, he is forced to rely only on whatever tools fit in his pockets.

Fourth of all, and this is the only drawback that is not a direct consequence but rather an indirect one, using Blink poses a heavy burden on his brain to maintain. This is not to say that he needs to constantly concentrate to keep it up (being distracted or taken by surprise will not disable Blink), but rather that he will experience incremental mental fatigue while using it. This fatigue does not go away when he exits Blink, and extensive use for anything more than 10 continuous minutes or so will cause him to literally faint from exhaustion.

Weaknesses: While Silvester is braver than the average person, brave enough to take up the mantle of a superhero anyway, and is willing to face death in an abstract sense without being frozen by the fight or flight instinct, he is not particularly experienced when it comes to dealing with things such as physical pain. So, if he is ever shot, punched hard enough, severely cut, set on fire, or tortured by the bad guys in a torture chamber, do NOT expect him to behave with the unflinching dignity and willpower that most superheroes display. The most you can expect is that he will... try.

Equipment and weapons: Anything the group is equipped with as standard-issue, provided it doesn't take up too much space. This can include a concealed handgun, a limited amount of ammo for it, a tactical knife (that he's not amazing at using), a walkie-talkie. Definitely no grenades or smoke bombs/flashes, he wouldn't trust himself with those right now.

BACKGROUND

Nationality: While his family emigrated from Germany three generations ago, Silvester was born and lived most of his life in the US.

Hometown: Santa Monica, California

Personality: An exacting and pedantic individual, Silvester is a much bigger fan of missions when the briefing is detailed and well researched, and the step-by-step of what he's supposed to accomplish is layed out. He is willing to exercise his creativity and ingenuity when necessary, but exhibits a certain degree of risk aversion in uncertain scenarios. This also bleeds into his personal life and interactions from time to time, many of his close friends referring to him lovingly as the "smartass" of the group, and he has a habit of being skeptical and questioning of his superiors, albeit not openly or rudely. He is also a bit of a cynic and tends to think of any superhero that is idealistic and wide-eyed about their cause as someone who is in for a rude awakening. However, as much as he is condescending and judgmental when it comes to most people around him, he is an extrovert, and doesn't mind being part of a team. Also, because of his past experience as a criminal defense attorney, he knows that there are two sides to every story, and acknowledges there is a more humane and complicated side to even the vilest of villains. This makes him slightly hesitant when it comes time to pull the trigger, but he is realistic and practical enough to not feel too guilty for too long after the deed is already done.

Bio: Silvester had a relatively uneventful childhood in Santa Monica. Despite the fact that he discovered his powers in his teenage years, he didn't see them as particularly useful at the time, and didn't use them much. After graduating High School, he went to a good but nevertheless public local college, where he discovered his passion for puzzles and human psychology. He eventually went on to Law School, and, after receiving his Law degree, passed the exam to get called to the bar in Los Angeles, where he took cases primarily as a criminal defense attorney. Here, he found a lucrative if morally questionable way to put his powers to good use: tailing LAPD investigation squads while they were carrying out their tasks, and stealthily assisting to their interrogations of suspects and case discussions. This gave him access to a breadth of information that allowed him to much better defend his clients, whether they were truly innocent or otherwise. Silvester didn't particularly cared, the extra "clues" he was getting were only making the puzzles all the more interesting, and the pay was good. And what if some bad apples got off scott free? That wasn't his concern. It was only after his father got murdered by a client he formerly defended that Silvester had a change of heart. He started being painfully aware of the consequences of his actions, and his load only got progressively heavier as, in a guilt-ridden mind state, he started doing research on the lives of all his former clients, and realized how many of them went right back to lawbreaking after he saved them the first time around. Not principled enough to turn himself in and face all the consequences of his actions, but principled enough to be willing to make a difference, Silvester quit the bar and made his powers and status as a meta-human public to the authorities, seeking to be recruited by Argus. It didn't take long for his unique skillset to get him recognized by A.I.D.D., and now, here he is.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Fears/Phobias: As stated in his Weaknesses, Silvested doesn't deal amazingly well on a psychological level with physical pain or damage, at the very least, not as well as the average superhero. Also, he is anxious about the concept that his Blink power might cause him permanent neurological damage longterm, but he doesn't know for sure whether it could actually do that. Aside from those, he doesn't really exhibit any random irrational phobias that would catch someone by surprise. (he won't suddenly panic when caught in a confined, tight space, or upon the sight of a spider, for example)
Skills: Silvester is fluent in English and German. He is also knowledgeable in legal matters as well as with regards to police procedure. Lastly, he is a good conversationalist and rhetorician and is therefore decent at convincing people that he is correct, if the subject doesn't get too technical.

This is a good app, but just be aware that we do already have someone who can turn invisible, along with another very stealthy character. I'm not going to deny the app, just know that it will be redundant.
