My views on the coronavirus don't fit with the mainstream: I accept that, but I made a post regarding the value of human life and viruses that I thought was absolutely fine, yet I got banned for it.

...you honestly thought the following were fine in the current world context of people dying from the virus (especially the ridiculously insincere reference to "what the virus community thinks of this")?:

Idk why ns felt the need to take a side on this.

I mean taking sides between people and viruses. They're both lifeforms.

Are we not killing the virus? Is that not the way to end this terrible situation?

Perhaps we are failing to consider what the virus community thinks of this.

Sorry but I absolutely refuse to believe that you sincerely think that viruses are not only capable of thinking, but also capable of organising that thought and themselves into a community.

They are if my beliefs are held to be actionable. I have asked by ghr, and it is apparently the case that this view is now in itself against the rules, however I was asking about my more regular opinions regarding the value of human life.

GVH's posts were ridiculous but they didn't contain any misinformation and weren't promoting neglect of personal health. The temp-ban seems heavy handed.
