Comrades editors of VT! Compatriots!
I stand before you as a commander, as an international volunteer, as a member of Tanayan Revolutionary Party, as a communist, loyal to the International Revolutionary Pact and the idea of the Worlwide Socialist Revoltuion, and as a human. And from this position do I speak of a crime of silencing.
The extent of damage of the Cyclone Yue has been grossly understated. Even the numbers by Meronian spokesmen fall far from estimates. You may ask me how do I know about it. Let me answer.
As a COMAIRSEP, I have seen the damage of the Cyclone Yue myself. I have personally helped to free people from their death traps and saw hundreds of dead and thousands homeless. It was I who have ordered to employ decommissioned hangars and warehouses as shelters for those who lost their roof. And I know many of our soldiers and airmen voluntarily, without any direct order from me went on to do the same, to help the people, their families and relatives. To help our comrades, our brothers and sisters with everything we could.
Silencing our reports is a crime against the people of Sepura. I have thus taken the initiative to disclose the information — the people will take the initiative and do it themselves anyways. It is time for the world to know.
There were 91,257 dead in the Cyclone Yue as reported by the airmen of the Air Army Sepura and by soldiers of the 10th Artillery, 17th Mechanized and 26th Mechanized Brigades of Tanayan Army. I know what I'm talking about may not want to be known by certain circles. Let them know ─ it is a crime not only against the people of Sepura but by extension, against the International Revolutionary Pact itself.
If this letter is not published, I will acting on my own to get the word across. Referring to the Tanayan Law "On the State, National and Popular Treason" I do not consider my actions falling under that law, but I am ready to face the consequences anyways. As a commander of all forces of Tanaya Soviet People's Republic in the Sepuranese People's Republic, I hereby take the duty to ensure the safety of our bases on myself should the worst come from the publication of this. We will fight to the last shell, to the last bullet and to the last drop of blood.
I became a communist when I was 17. And I will die a communist.
