Addél Dîlectên Inaugurated As President Of The Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia

Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia finally has a new and this time elected President. Today, President-elect Addél Dîlectên has rightfully taken over the presidency and acceded to the position of the head of state, after having won the early presidential election more than a week ago in the first round with 51,25% of the vote. On this day, March 14, Saturday, Addél Dîlectên was inaugurated as the new President of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia. The new President has technically made history by becoming the first President elected since the adoption of the current Constitution of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia. President-elect Addél Dîlectên gave his oath and concluded the rest of his inauguration in front of a huge crowd of Sunrisians. The ceremony took place outside the Presidential Palace and the large crowd was comprised of local residents of the national capital Orentan, as well as city guests, such as Sunrisians from other cities across the country. It could have included tourists as well. The ceremony was exclusive to Sunrisians only, with tourists, foreign students, immigrants, etc, excluded from the rules. However, Sunrisia did not invite foreign leaders or representatives to attend the inauguration ceremony, not even from allied countries like SOWEFTA and MDAA member states. Therefore, personnel of active foreign embassies and consulates in Orentan, were not expected or awaited as the ceremony. The goal was to have the Inauguration Ceremony take place “within the family”, meaning the Sunrisian family.

Following the conclusion of ceremonial proceedings and the formal accession to the presidency, the newly-inaugurated President Addél Dîlectên addressed the nation with a speech. The inaugurated President thanked outgoing President and PID Director Fórî Apstérâ for leadership and taking the country through the turbulent period after the last political crisis over the so-called “Shadow Government” scandal and also through the transitional period, once the situation had stabilized, even if it went beyond constitutional norms.

According to the words of inaugurated President Addél Dîlectên:

“Director Fórî Apstérâ did what he and his team thought were right and were ready to do anything for this country, even if went beyond what was accepted at certain moments. They did not care about the legal and other consequences that might face them afterwards and about their own well-being. They cared only about the country. To be fair and truthful, it was the leadership of Director Fórî Apstérâ, his people, other people in the rest of our intelligence community and in our military, which has helped defeat the insurgency of the militant terrorist groups – the New Sunrisian Republican Army (NSRA) and the Sunrisian Theocrat and Monarchist Corps (STMC), which were aiming to overthrow our Nationalist Republic. In the end, these people are national heroes and they served our country, while also using the best methods they thought they could. As I have just, their united leadership saved the Nationalist Republic from being overthrown by NSRA and STMC militant groups. Meanwhile, overseas, they helped the South Baggnagian people defend their homeland against the aggression of the North Baggnagian regime and also helped allied defector forces inside North Baggnagia to overthrow the North Baggnagian regime. As a result, the North Baggnagian people ended up being liberated, since having been forcefully turned into a nation of slaves by that regime. They can once again breathe and the divided Baggnagian nation can aspire towards a better future, maybe even together. This leadership has also finally brought back our troops from West Zilveren Berg after basic peacekeeping, stabilization, recovery and rebuilding efforts have been completed under the watch of several Sunrisian leaderships, something that began even prior to the days of the Nationalist Republic. This acting government has accomplished more than elected governments had managed to. And yet, despite all the credit I have to give to these brave national heroes, democracy is everything to us, so these are the rules that we will continue to live by, while also living according to the Constitution of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia.”

Outgoing President and PID Director Fórî Apstérâ was obviously at the Inauguration Ceremony, but he did not behave like a President, who was transferring power to a new successor. Instead, he looked very humbled and behaved in such way. President and PID Director Apstérâ treated and looked up to inaugurated President Addél Dîlectên like a head of state, even when Dîlectên was still President-elect and Apstérâ was still acting President. Outgoing President and PID Director Fórî Apstérâ was already in the mental state of just being the Director of the leading intelligence agency in the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia, but not the President, even before President-elect Addél Dîlectên completed inauguration. It looked like it showed the self-awareness of Apstérâ, who saw himself as the person, who held the position of the head of state and commander-in-chief, making some decisions and taking some action, while in this position, despite not being elected to do so and only being the acting President, who will take Sunrisia through a post-crisis transition and lead the fight against the militant insurgency and the old political elite even. It was clear that Apstérâ wanted to drop the label of the President and pass it over to the elected and legitimate head of state as soon as possible, while going back to only being PID Director. Therefore, in the end, it did not look like a power transition, where one President passed over his powers to a successor, but rather a “seat-filler” official, despite his accomplishments in that position, finally turning it over to someone that was chosen to do so. Outgoing President and PID Director Fórî Apstérâ clearly saw President-elect and now inaugurated President Addél Dîlectên as President from the day that the former welcomed the latter to the Presidential Palace to discuss the power transfer and presidency transfer.

Meanwhile, the crowd warmly welcomed new President Addél Dîlectên after his inauguration and accession to power, with cheers and an ovation, as an elected leader chosen by 51,25% of registered voters on the election day. President Addél Dîlectên now has the responsibility to fulfill the promises and satisfy the expectations of the voters. Despite commending the administration of President and PID Director Fórî Apstérâ, other intelligence services of Sunrisia and the military for Sunrisia, for their combined leadership over the country during a vital survival period, the newly-inaugurated President Addél Dîlectên also promised to enforce the Constitution more and start “easing out” the influence of the intelligence services and the military over the Sunrisian government. New President Dîlectên, as he mentioned in the past, intends to keep the officials and personnel of the preceding Apstérâ administration for some time and said that he intends to keep Fórî Apstérâ as PID Director as well.

Vesvai’s Prime Minister Jonathan Mollisal Lands In Fortwel, Oblaren To Sign The Union Treaty

Dominion of Vesvai is on the verge of a historic moment. Vesvai’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Nicholas Vicina earlier announced that the Dominion of Vesvai and the Oblaren Republic have negotiated the Union Treaty. Both fraternal nations have agreed to live together in a confederation-like merger of both their states. Both foreign ministries and governments at large agreed that Fortwel, Oblaren will be the ground of this historic moment. Vesvai’s government agreed immediately because the Dominion has been more enthusiastic about the union anyone else. Vesvai was ready to agree to anything as long as this union could finally be achieved. Vesvai was the one who put forth the proposal and Oblaren is going to be the place where this milestone will be achieved. Considering this both nations have put an equal amount of contribution to achieving the union’s creation. The Union Treaty will be signed in Fortwel, Oblaren shortly but it will take some time for both parliaments to ratify it. Once that happens that’s when the creation of the union will be announced. It will be an original concept union of both nations because it will technically be a single state but with some different parts applying to Vesvai’s and Oblaren’s halves. Vesvai and Oblaren are both members of ROVAA so logically the union state will also remain a member of this organization now. But Oblaren is a republic whereas Vesvai is a dominion where Rhodeve Queen Diana Wolff is Vesvai’s official monarch. Vesvai is also a member of the Rhodeve Commonwealth while Oblaren is not. But Vesvai’s government is enthusiastic and claims that these are not obstacles to the union. Oblaren and Vesvai can merge in all other areas without obstacles.

Minister Of Industry, Trade And Commerce Absítâ Sépârátĕr Visits West Zilveren Berg

Absítâ Sépârátĕr, Minister of Industry, Trade and Commerce of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia, is on an official visit to West Zilveren Berg. The Minister has come there to sign a new trade agreement that had been negotiated between West Zilveren Berg and Sunrisia. The economic and trade relations between both countries exist via the SOWEFTA–West Zilveren Berg Deep and Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement. Nevertheless, Sunrisia also had individual economic and trade relations, including additional bilateral agreements, with countries that have bilateral agreements with SOWEFTA. That means that Sunrisia’s economic and trade relations with these third party countries are governed not only through the SOWEFTA agreement with these countries, but also by the individual agreement that Sunrisia has with them. Despite this, the bilateral and individual Sunrisian agreements with these third countries, despite only applying to Sunrisia as a signatory and not applying to the rest of SOWEFTA, can still benefit the entire sphere of the trade bloc.

An example of countries that Sunrisia has agreements with via SOWEFTA and individually are – Allentyr, with whom Sunrisia has an agreement within the range of the SOWEFTA–VU Free Trade Agreement, as well as an individual and bilateral Closer Economic Relations treaty. Another country is New Vesvai, which Sunrisia has ties with through the SOWEFTA–New Vesvai Deep and Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement and individual New Vesvai–Sunrisia Enhanced Trade and Investment Agreement. The Seven United (Damsmar) and Daredland are both associate states of SOWEFTA, but Sunrisia also has individual agreements with them – The Seven United–Sunrisia Enhanced Economic Partnership and Daredland–Sunrisia Enhanced Trade and Investment Agreement. A similar approach is now being taken towards West Zilveren Berg.

Most likely, Minister Absítâ Sépârátĕr will sign an Enhanced Trade and Investment Agreement with West Zilveren Berg. This agreement is seen as the best one to also help amplify West Zilveren Berg’s development. Vice Minister of International Relations of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Frîgăs Sécrêtén, commented that this additional treaty will have no impact on West Zilveren Berg’s rightful foreign policy choice to be a non-bloc state and as neutral as possible.

Oblaren And Vesvai Sign The Union Treaty: It Has Yet To Go Into Force

History has been made in Fortwel, Oblaren. Dominion of Vesvai and Oblaren Republic have signed the long awaited and long negotiated Union Treaty. It was signed by Oblaren’s President Nathaniel Harrisbur and Vesvai’s Prime Minister Jonathan Mollisal have signed the Union Treaty as heads of the nations they lead and represent. Both fraternal nations of Vesvai and Oblaren have agreed to live together by merging their states into one. PM Jonathan Mollisal called this not just a milestone but one of four most important moments in Vesvai’s history alongside Vesvai’s independence from Rhodevus, accession to the Rhodeve Commonwealth, and accession to ROVAA. The Union Treaty is already in the pocket so to say but it will enter into force once the parliaments of Vesvai and Oblaren ratify it. That is when the union will be formally created. But even until that moment comes today is still already an occasion for celebrating. PM Jonathan Mollisal stayed in Oblaren throughout today and will stay for tomorrow before returning to Vesvai. He invited Oblaren’s President Nathaniel Harrisbur to visit Vesvai. PM Jonathan Mollisal and Vesvai’s past PM’s have been in Oblaren several times but Oblaren’s leader hasn’t been in Vesvai that many times. Vesvai’s government believes this needs to be evened out. Unless the Union Treaty comes into force before that which means it will no longer be important who has visited which place how often. It will all be a single union state anyways. Vesvai’s Governor-General Andrew Gaileta has originally been reluctant about the idea of the union of Oblaren and Vesvai. He was concerned about how it would affect Vesvai’s position and stance in the Rhodeve Commonwealth. His concern was related to the strength of Vesvai’s integration within the Commonwealth. Gaileta remained reluctant until the last moment. But today he is singing a different tune. Nothing but praise is coming from Vesvai’s Governor-General towards singing the Union Treaty. He is sharing the same enthusiasm. A lot of praise is coming from Gaileta towards Vesvai’s government headed by PM Jonathan Mollisal and Oblaren’s government led by President Nathaniel Harrisbur. Overall he is praising both nations of Oblaren and Vesvai. Gaileta is pushing forward the sentiment that this can be a restoration or creation of historical justice by merging two fraternal nations. But also he suggested that it could be a start of something bigger although he has not specified what he meant. PM Jonathan Mollisal suggested to make today’s calendar date a special occasional day in Vesvai and Oblaren as separate nations for now until the Union Treaty enters into force. Once the union is created depending on which day that will be it’s going to be the primary day for both peoples to remember and commemorate annually. That is going to be the day when their new single nation is going to be born.

Silcenda Meeting: Joint Democratic Referendum Commission meets for the first time

SILCENDA, NORTH BAGGNAGIA – The day has come. Today the Joint Democratic Referendum Commission made up of North and South Baggnagian representatives are holding first meeting in Silcenda. They are meeting to discuss and set up conditions for a joint referendum to be held on North and South Baggnagian territory at the same time. The Commission comes together already having a legal basis for a referendum they are discussing and organizing. In the past week the military governments of North and South Baggnagia have approved of referendums on the territories they govern. South Baggnagian Military Council voted to approve the referendum on the territory of mainland South Baggnagia and the Neodvisni exclave. A couple of days later the North Baggnagian military government reciprocated. It passed an identical law allowing for a referendum to be held on North Baggnagian territory. With legal basis on both territories the joint referendum is a go.

At this Silcenda meeting the Joint Democratic Referendum Commission is talking about what has been called the Joint Double-Referendum or the Baggnagian Double-Referendum. This name comes from the planned referendum set to have two questions. The first question would ask North and South Baggnagian voters if they approve of the unification agreement that the Baggnagian Reunification Commission will reach. It will need an approval by a majority of voters to be signed by the military governments of North and South Baggnagia. Of course if the majority rejects it the status quo will remain. In that case North and South will either need to come up with a new unification agreement or drop reunification altogether and stay apart. Polls that have been held also thanks to the Joint Democratic Referendum Commission show that an overwhelming majority of North Baggnagians actually want their state to join South Baggnagia. That’s because the South is seen as the more rightful predecessor of the Democratic Republic that was split. Even if Silcenda (the historic capital of Baggnagia) is formally the capital of the North right now. Many North Baggnagians have been emigrating to the more developed South since the end of the Baggnagian War and the North’s capitulation. The referendum’s second question will ask if North and South Baggnagians approve of the draft of the constitution that is being made by the Constituent Assembly of Baggnagia right now. It will be meant to be a constitution for the reunified Baggnagian state. This means that the majority of voters will need to approve of reunification deal and only then will the outcome of the second question on the constitution will be relevant. But if reunification is rejected then the second question of the constitution automatically becomes null and void. But there’s also a possible outcome that the voters could approve reunification but not approve of the constitution. In that case a new constitution may need to be drafted. Even a new Constituent Assembly could be needed. The third possible outcome is that the voters will vote in favor of both questions.

Commission members have released a communiqué. They said that because the referendum is joint the populations of North and South Baggnagia (which will still vote as separate nations) will be considered as a single voting population. Both nations approximately have the same number of people but with the mass migrations of North Baggnagians to the South that’s been changing too. If a vast majority in one half votes one way while the vast majority of voters votes in the opposite way then the referendum result will depend on what the majority voted in favor of. That majority would be counted between the populations of these two separate nations which will be considered a second voting unit in this Double-Referendum.

Joint Democratic Referendum Commission holds first meeting in Silcenda, North Baggnagia

SILCENDA, NORTH BAGGNAGIA – North and South Baggnagian members of the Joint Democratic Referendum Commission have met for the first time in Silcenda, North Baggnagia today. The meeting follows last Monday’s first meeting of the Baggnagian Reunification Commission in Jugac. Joint Democratic Referendum Commission met with a possession of a legal basis for a referendum they are tasked with organizing. In this past week the South Baggnagian Military Council had passed a law approving of the Joint Double-Referendum on South Baggnagian territory. North Baggnagia reciprocated with an identical law of this type. Combined both nations have allowed for this joint referendum to be held on both territories at the same time. After the Commission’s meeting it released a communiqué. In it the Commission said that North and South Baggnagian populations although both still being populations of two separate nations would be considered a single voting unit. That means that regardless which territory voted how in its majority the referendum would go by what the majority of the combined voters between North and South have voted on. Commission members said that if this were considered undemocratic by critics then they have the right to appeal the referendum’s organizational basis and give their own proposals. Or even after the vote happens there will always be a possibility to question it. Polls organized by the Joint Democratic Referendum Commission show that North Baggnagians outright support their nation joining the South because the South is seen as a more direct successor to the formerly united Democratic Republic. North’s citizens also largely keep migrating to the South as a more developed nation with more advanced democratic institutes. As a refresher North and South Baggnagians will be voting on two questions. The first question will be approval or disapproval of the unification agreement that the Baggnagian Reunification Commission will reach. It will be put up for a vote in a referendum and will only be signed by both governments if approved by voters. The second question will be acceptance or rejection of the constitution that the Constituent Assembly of Baggnagia will draft by that time. It will be intended to be the constitution of a reunified Baggnagian state. The more key out of the two questions will be outcome of the reunification question in order for the constitution question to carry any purpose at all. Right now all available channels are made open in North and South Baggnagia to have the Joint Double-Referendum a leading question of a national debate in both nations. The question is intended to be debated up to the day of the vote within North and South Baggnagia separately but there are also communication bridges between both nations that allow for a North and South international dialogue on the referendum questions. Joint Democratic Referendum Commission is tasked with providing fairness and full transparency in this historic vote. General Staff to Reduce Weapons Stockpiles?

Earlier this past week rumors of a new, and unexpected, initiative began to circulate among the ranks of both the P.O.D. Air Force and the P.O.D. Navy, an initiative believed to have been considered as a way to cut down on some of the larger defensive spending costs. As the rumors circulate there was a leaked budget proposal that showed a nearly thirty percent decrease in spending on maintenance for various weapons of mass destruction, including reduced spending of ICBM maintenance. Some concern has also circulated that this reduction of spending may leave the Stratocracy again vulnerable to would be invaders with adequate missile intercept capabilities as the effectiveness of mutually assured destruction was reduced; however defense analysts indicate that even in the case of a drastic reduction of the weapons in stock, the P.O.D. armed forces would retain their offensive and counter-offensive capabilities. It has yet to be indicted whether the P.O.D.A.F. and P.O.D.N. will sell off its warheads to competent and trusted allies or whether they would be dismantled and parts either repurposed or destroyed. P.O.D.A.F. has indicated that it will opt to keep its already armed missiles, choosing rather to rid itself of bombs meant to be dropped from aircraft or warheads that have not been mounted to missiles. The General Staff is considering the ramifications of offering weapons of mass destruction to capable and trustworthy allies, noting that while Unitary Representative Stratocracy has never been a signatory of any nonproliferation treaty, their trust would be limited to nations that are signatories of such treaties, or have already undergone voluntary reduction of their own stockpiles, making it highly unlikely that the nation would be able to find a suitable purchaser. Some private companies within the nation have indicated interest in purchasing low yield nuclear devices for apparent mining operations, though it has become increasingly apparent that the General Staff is opposed to such private sails, noting that such private entities lack the protections needed to ensure that the devices did not fall into the hands of any number of international rogue nations or terror organizations, one of the greatest fears being apparently the Bannerless Brotherhood.

It would seem that while the GS would like to recuperate some of the expenses over time, the greater concern is the safety of The Dictatorship and its allies, and with that concern an apparent reluctance to sell these weapons in ready to use condition.

While the thirty percent decrease in annual spending on the upkeep of these weapons is to be seen in the budget, the costs saved will be reallocated for more research into better defensive capabilities and advancements in missile technology to better penetrate hostile defense networks.

Secretary Of Sunrisia In MDAA Cáldăs Flórêna Goes To New Vesvai To Sign The MDAA–New Vesvai Action Plan

Cáldăs Flórêna, Secretary of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia in MDAA, has travelled to Perloveu, New Vesvai. The Secretary will be meeting with Prime Minister Adi Letago of New Vesvai, officials from the country’s Ministry of the Vesvaian Revolutionary Army, military officials and the country’s members of Parliament. This visit is meant to finally establish the first big breakthrough in relations between MDAA and New Vesvai, as well as help set the first milestone in New Vesvai’s path into MDAA. According to the Sunrisian representation in MDAA, as well as to the Department of Security of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia, Secretary of Sunrisia in MDAA Cáldăs Flórêna will be signing the MDAA–New Vesvai Action Plan with Prime Minister Adi Letago of New Vesvai. This will be the first big agreement in practice in the MDAA integration of New Vesvai apart from just verbal negotiations between the parties.

Prior to his departure, Secretary of Sunrisia in MDAA Cáldăs Flórêna stated the following:

“As you know, New Vesvai has had MDAA membership aspirations since the revolution in that country, or as the locals have come to call it – the Silver Revolution. It is time to start delivering on one of the goals that the people New Vesvai want their revolution to achieve. Of course, there will still be a necessity to walk the path further, because all current MDAA member states and New Vesvai will have to further talk and bilaterally approve of any further steps. However, it will still be important to finally have the MDAA–New Vesvai Action Plan as a framework that will guide or govern the relations between our military alliance and our partner/aspirant New Vesvai.”

Secretary Cáldăs Flórêna also addressed the rumors if this trip and the planned signing of the MDAA–New Vesvai Action Plan there and now is linked to the signing of the Union Treaty between the Dominion of Vesvai and Oblaren, where both countries plan to form a union of their 2 nations:

“The signing of MDAA–New Vesvai Action Plan has been a long time coming, practically since the revolution in New Vesvai, the fall of the previous leadership and coming to power of today’s leadership. However, it would not be completely outside the realm of reality to say that the signing of the Union Treaty between Vesvai and Oblaren, 2 ROVAA states, 1 of whom is also a Commonwealth of Rhodevus member state, was not a good “motivator” to finally do this now. If this were a rushed process that was only architected very recently, then it would not have been put together so quickly.”

Secretary Flórêna also stated that on the way back from New Vesvai, he will stop in Daredland, where he will put forward the proposal to the Daredi government that the Secretary had voiced relatively recently. That was the proposal to offer Daredland accession to MDAA, but with collective defense only applying to territories under Freihat’s sovereign control. In other words, land seized by the self-proclaimed entities of the Hasperan Republic and the Weniges Reich would not be included. Nevertheless, he said that Sunrisia still supports Daredland’s territorial integrity and said that when those territories rightfully return to legitimate Daredi governance, the collective defense of MDAA would also apply to them according to this proposal. The Secretary believes it would create a positive precedent where hostile forces could not forcefully block the entry of a country into any alliance or bloc by seizing their sovereign territory and making them lose control of their borders, which often blocks access for sovereign countries into organizations as member states. Countries would no longer become hostage to this sort of situation or blackmail. Nevertheless, this proposal would also have to go through the approval of all MDAA member states, but the Secretary wants to get this through to the alliance’s partners, before the actual member states finally give their verdict.

New Vesvai’s Troops Come Under Fire By Vesvai’s Troops: No Fatalities, But There Are Injuries

Vesvaian Revolutionary Army has announced it has come under attack by the Dominion’s Royal Vesvaian Security Forces again. The Dominion’s military opened fire by using the usual open points of the border where New Vesvai’s border wall has not yet been built. Those are still the vulnerable points through which the Dominion of Vesvai can launch the attacks. VRA commanders on location said that RVSF did not invoke heavy artillery against them. It was mostly rifle and machine gun fire. But there were also moments of shelling. After a good drawn out moment of firing where off-guard VRA was mostly forced to take cover it stopped. Of course it was not on RVSF’s own decision to cease fire. After taking cover the off-guard VRA fired back. Commanders said that just like in all other moments when this happens VRA was ready for full-scale war. If RVSF was not going to stop firing VRA was ready to engage its heavy artillery, air forces and the navy to make the Dominion’s forces back off. After some time of engaged the firing finally stopped and RVSF’s forces backed off. The enemy strategically was firing from the distance so RVSF did not make advances towards the border or trying to violate it. The reports from this clash are injuries on VRA’s side but no deaths fortunately.

Vesvai’s government said that Deputy Minister of the Vesvain Revolutionary Army will be sent to the border in reaction to this situation. At the moment higher-ranking officials will not be able to travel there because they are hosting Sunrisian Secretary in MDAA Cáldăs Flórêna. But Prime Minister Adi Letago proposed that he would like to rush to the border with Minister of the Vesvaian Revolutionary Army and also with the Sunrisian guest. PM Adi Letago said that without wishing to speculate on this incident to him it looks like a coincidence that this latest border clash happened now. Military Says It Acted In Self-Defense Against New Vesvai’s Forces: Government Shows Solidarity With The Troops

New Vesvai’s propaganda has accused the Dominion of Vesvai of provoking another border clash between the two nations. The propaganda which supposedly quoted New Vesvai’s Vesvaian Revolutionary Army commanders said that our Royal Vesvaian Security Forces opened fire on them for no reason. VRA said RVSF was firing at them with rifles and machine guns but there was also shelling involved. VRA troops were supposedly caught off-guard and used a lot of time for hiding until they opened counter-fire. VRA said they were ready for war again and preparing to activate heavy artillery, air forces and navy if necessary. Supposedly this courageous countering of RVSF’s supposed aggression made RVSF step back and stop. VRA said that RVSF opened fire of them by using border gap areas where their wall had been finished yet. They reported injuries but no deaths on their side.

RVSF was quick to call out New Vesvai’s lies. The military said that New Vesvai’s VRA was probably holding a drill where they were planning a sneak invasion of the Dominion of Vesvai. RVSF troops saw that VRA use the drill to disguise their actual incursion. VRA troops were seen crossing the border at these multiple open spots in groups. RVSF told VRA intruders to step back and get back into their territory or fire would be opened on them. VRA ignored all warning so RVSF was forced to open fire. This gave VRA the excuse to begin a mass attack. The resulting border clash involved not only the neutral border area but some of it also took place on the Dominion’s soil. That’s because RVSF was fight invading VRA troops trying to get them out of the Dominion of Vesvai. The fire eventually stopped and the invaders were kicked out. RVSF said that this battle actually had victory behind the Dominion and not New Vesvai like their propaganda claimed.

Vesvai’s Minister of National Defense and Security Robert Praesedit denounced New Vesvai’s actions. He is set to go to the border to meet with RVSF troops and inspect the situation. Vesvai’s Governor-General Andrew Gaileta and Vesvai’s Prime Minister Jonathan Mollisal also denounced New Vesvai and so did the Parliament. PM Jonathan Mollisal said New Vesvai is lying by saying that the Dominion of Vesvai would use military force to make New Vesvai reconsider its dealings with MDAA. Defense Minister Robert Praesedit considers proposing deploying additional forces to the border with New Vesvai for the time being until it’s clear the situation has stabilized.

Daredi Confederation has honorably welcomed an awaited guest from Sunrisia: Secretary of Sunrisia in MDAA Cáldăs Flórêna. He was welcomed by Confederal Chancellor of the Daredi Confederation Lars Sommer and Confederal Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Daredi Confederation Zina Fenstermacher. Sunrisian Secretary will still be invited to meet with President of the Daredi Confederation Hans Receni and visit the deputies at both chambers of the United Confederal Assembly: upper house Council of States and lower house National Council. But before that, Secretary of Sunrisia in MDAA Cáldăs Flórêna will be introduced to two officials that he has truly come to work with on the MDAA–Daredland progress. Those being Confederal Minister of Defense and Protection of the Daredi Confederation Lukas Armbrüster and Confederal Minister of MDAA Accession of the Daredi Confederation Nicole Dressler. Confederal Minister Nicole Dressler is whom the Sunrisian Secretary will truly have to engage with the most in comparison to all other Daredi government officials.

The MDAA Secretary from Sunrisia came to Daredland on the way from his visit to New Vesvai which is the newest MDAA aspirant nation. Over there he signed the MDAA–New Vesvai Action Plan with the nation’s Prime Minister. Territories under the control of the self-declared Hasperan Republic and Englean-backed Weniges Reich would be excluded from MDAA. But the Sunrisian MDAA official made sure to say that this would be until Daredland restores control over lost land. Discussions in Freihat will still be happening throughout the day on this. But Confederal Minister of Foreign Affairs Zina Fenstermacher said earlier that the Daredi government will be considering that proposal. Confederal Minister of Home Affairs of the Daredi Confederation Karl Weiß spoke in support of accepting this variant of MDAA accession. Last time Weiß already came under fire from critics including in the government for his proposals to build borders and customs between Daredland and the secessionist territories of the Hasperan Republic and the Weniges Reich. A usually pro-Sunrisian politician and a recipient of their award Confederal Minister of Reintegration and Reconciliation of the Daredi Confederation Franz Potesinan spoke about his uncertainty towards this variant of MDAA accession. He said it was weakening Daredland’s claim over the lands seized by the self-declared Weniges Reich and the Hasperan Republic. According to Potesinan Daredland should enter the alliance as a whole with its legit borders and territories under its control. In this light Potesinan unexpectedly probably even to him ended up in the same camp as the opposition parties: Party for Central Approach (PCA) and the Social Liberal Party (SLP). Both parties have condemned the Daredi government for even considering this proposal without all Daredi land included. States General of the State of West Zilveren Berg is preparing for a vote on adopting the West Zilveren Guilder as the independent national currency of West Zilveren Berg. Senate and House of Representatives are both debating this right now. The bill has been put forward by the National Movement for West Zilveren Progress (NMWZP), the party of Chief Secretary Faas Van Hoebeek, which is part of a governing coalition with a parliamentary majority in the Senate and House of Representatives. And even with majority in both chambers, the government has been trying to rally parties outside of the governing coalition, as well as the “hot-headed” opposition parties, to support the bill. Chief Secretary Faas Van Hoebeek called it something beyond partisan politics in the country and something that all political forces in West Zilveren Berg should support, because this independent national currency that is being talked about. Secretary of Finance and Secretary of Economic Affairs are scheduled to speak before Senate and House of Representatives later on the topic of adopting the West Zilveren Guilder and on the transitional period that will follow.

Of course, the importance for the West Zilveren government is also to rally public support behind the West Zilveren Guilder. Nevertheless, the head of government said that for now, the value of that currency will depend on the prices of natural resources, until the country finally gets alternative manufacturing going to base its’ economy on. Rather than extracting more natural resources and creating a surplus which would devalue the West Zilveren Guilder, the nation will have to slow down on the amount it extracts. However, for the government, there is also the question of pro-environment activists, who promise to combat exploitation of West Zilveren natural resources, drilling and damage to the environment all of this would cost. Chief Secretary Faas Van Hoebeek personally encountered some members of these various groups at his last “Town Hall” and the activists were not kind to him nor to the government overall.

Meanwhile, the Department of Foreign Affairs announced it would remain in contact with Sunrisia, which has allowed to further use the Provisional Suni as West Zilveren Berg’s currency. Of course, it depends on the fact if the new President in Sunrisia will continue that policy. New President of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Addél Dîlectên is hosting his first official foreign visit in Orentan. Prime Minister Terr Ciramān of Creperia, a Sunrisian ally, has arrived in our country on his first visit since Sunrisia elected a new President. This is the first time the 2 men are meeting as heads of state representing their countries and also as people. The limo carrying the Prime Minister of Creperia arrived at the Presidential Palace, Orentan, with President Addél Dîlectên, an accompanying Sunrisian delegation, the press and interested citizens awaiting. Once the Prime Minister of Creperia exited the limo, President Dîlectên and the Prime Minister of Creperia met half-way. They engaged in a prolonged and warm handshake, while camera flashes, sparks and clicks covered this moment. The President proceeded to individually introduce the Creperian Prime Minister to everyone in the Sunrisian delegation. Afterwards, the President and the Creperian Prime Minister proceeded to walk upstairs into the Presidential Palace, while camera flashes followed them.

Once inside, President Dîlectên took some time for a casual walk around the Presidential Palace with Prime Minister Terr Ciramān of Creperia in order to get to know each other as people per the tradition of Sunrisian Presidents with their foreign guests. Office of the Attorney General of the Daredi Confederation has little confidence that extradition of ex-Chancellor Friedrich Schäfer for trial is possible

In a long time the Office of the Attorney General of the Daredi Confederation has once again spoken out on the case of ex-Chancellor Friedrich Schäfer. Officials of the Office have came out before the Council of States and later the National Council. In bother chambers of the United Confederal Assembly they said the following. Attorney General Office representatives said that ex-Chancellor Friedrich Schäfer presently faces several possible lifetimes in jail for his charges. Those charges were made by the previous Office of the Attorney General of the Daredi Confederation under a previous government. The present Office of the Attorney General has taken over those investigations and resumed those charges as effective. But these addresses to the United Confederal Assembly’s chambers were not merely reminders that the Attorney General Office was actually doing something. They instead came to tell the government the harsh reality and unfortunate possibility that it might not be possible that ex-Chancellor Friedrich Schäfer will stand trial.

Presently ex-Chancellor Friedrich Schäfer is outside of Daredland. He has become the so-called ‘citizen’ and ‘government official’ in the self-declared Weniges Reich. He is also a citizen of the citizen of the Kaiserlich-Controlled State of Engleberg. It’s presently unclear if Schäfer has renounced his Daredi citizenship. By law Daredland is not allowed to renounce its citizens’ passports. If Schäfer did not renounce Daredi citizenship then Daredland could declare an international man-hunt on him and achieve his extradition to Daredland for a fair trial. It’s still possible that Schäfer may still hold Daredi citizenship because having so-called ‘citizenship’ and being a government official in the self-declared Weniges Reich is meaningless. The Confederation does not recognize the self-declared Weniges Reich which is why it’s fake passports are meaningless and hold as much value as the material they’re made of. But holding Englean citizenship is another thing. If Schäfer got Englean citizenship it means that he can no longer hold Daredi citizenship because Daredland does not yet have a double or multiple citizenship law. If Daredi citizens apply for citizenship in another state then they lose their Daredi citizenship under the current law through a bureaucratic procedure. Daredi diplomats say that there has been no notice from Schäfer about the renunciation of his Daredi citizenship. But shady practices from him and from the Englean leadership are not a surprise to Daredland at this point.

Confederal Minister of Justice and Police of the Daredi Confederation Jan Nevarcare argued that even if ex-Chancellor Friedrich Schäfer is a foreign citizen now whether of the Englean state, Kleinaruscha or so-called ‘citizen’ of the self-declared Weniges Reich it still does not make him safe from Daredi prosecution and Daredi law. He could still be tried with a fair trial in Daredland for crimes against the Confederation when he was still a government official and citizen of Daredland. President of the Daredi Confederation Hans Receni suggested that Daredland should seek Schäfer’s extradition and be ready to arrest him on foreign territory. According to him if Schäfer leaves the so-called Englean sphere: Kaiserlich-Controlled State of Engleberg, Kleinaruscha, other present and ex-colonies of the Engleans and the self-declared Weniges Reich, then Daredland should arrest Schäfer and extradite him back to Daredland. With the threat of Daredi arrest Schäfer would at least face the punishment of limited movement around the world because he would be forcefully isolated in the territories of the Engleans and their allies.

Wilhelmsarchipel Reports Novel Illness, Prompting Investigation by the IDCR; Prosecutor Geneneral Herzsprung Confirms Daredi Realisation

Wilhelmsarchipel, Englean Kaiserreich -- In a set of breaking news this week, the Wilhelmsarchipel Territorial Health Commission has released reports on a series of cases of an unknown illness on the island of Ritterland. The THC has reported that the series of cases involves an illness that is suspected of being a virus, although its identity is unknown due to it having been recently discovered. According to the THC, about 53 cases have been reported over the past two weeks and it has placed a level 3 warning on the county and a level 2 warning on surrounding counties on the island. Although a small number of cases have been reported, the director of the THC Dr. Gunter Kantorowicz has requested support from the mainland Institute for Disease Control and Research's Department for Tropical Diseases to investigate and contain this illness due to the archipelago's thriving tourist economy.

What is known so far is that the illness appears similar to the yearly flu in terms of its symptoms, but nearly half of the patients have reported an abnormal headache which is outside of the symptoms of the common flu. As many patients have been those who own and operate farms on the island, it is suspected that the illness has mutated to become communicable between animals and humans. The ages of the patients has been around the ages of 40-60, with no reports of younger individuals being affected by these symptoms on the island. However, due to the similarity of these symptoms to that of the common flu it is possible that these individuals have not sought out medical attention and therefore have not contributed to the number of reported cases. This has led to the THC's level 3 warning, on a scale of 1-5, due to the possibility of infected individuals being much larger than is currently known and possibly spreading the novel illness to other islands - or other nations. Dr. Kantorowicz stated today, "It is our duty to not allow this illness to spread. This is why I am urging any individuals with symptoms similar to this illness to be tested on Ritterland. It is imperative that you do your civic duty to protect others, not just yourself."

The director of the IDCR, Dr. Olaf Wegener, stated today that the agency will be closely monitoring the situation in Wilhelmsarchipel. He said that while the possibility for a pandemic is unlikely, the Empire has a sufficient medical infrastructure in place that will be capable of handling anything within its borders. "Engleans may have the benefit of knowing that they have one of the best medical systems in the world, and that we will have their safety as our priority."

While a novel illness has shown its face in Ophion, Reichskanzler von Scherzinger has arrived on the other side of the world in Kleinaruscha for discussions with the nation's President Wulf Mayenburg on the situation in Corentia. As the largest remaining Englean territory, Kleinaruscha has acted essentially as a miniature version of the Empire within Corentia and continues to operate closely with the mainland. Kleinaruscha remains the only republican state within the Empire, and currently is designated as the official representative of the mainland in Corentia through the office of the Governor General.

Reichskanzler von Scherzinger's arrival in Kleinaruscha coincides with that of the Weniges Reich's President Helmuth Fehrenbacher, who is expected to discuss the expansion of the MDAA with the possible entrance of the Occupied Territory of Daredland that has been spoken of in Daredi sources. President Fehrenbacher has been noted to have warned of possible action by the Occupied Territory to reclaim the Weniges Reich, using the MDAA as a "shield" to protect it from military response by the Kaiserreich or Kleinaruscha. Currently only the forces of the Occupied Territory and the Weniges Reich operate on the border of the two states, with Englean forces remaining on the Weniges-Kleinaruscher border to act as support.

In addition, Prosecutor General of the Empire (Generalreichsanwalt) Anton Herzsprung accompanied the Chancellor on the subject of the possibility of the Weniges Reich joining the Englean Imperial Commonwealth to further secure itself as a sovereign state away from the Occupied Territory and eventually create a referendum for the integration of the Weniges Reich as a state of the Empire. Coincidentally, the Occupied Territory's Attorney General released statements on ex-Chancellor Friedrich Schäfer. While the territory wishes for Schäfer to stand trial, it has been realised that this trial will never happen. Daredi Minister of Justice Nevarcare stated that Schäfer can still be arrested and put on trial if he leaves Englean or allies' territories. The Prosecutor General responded:

"Sv. Fr. von Schäfer is indeed a citizen of both the Weniges Reich and the Englean Empire, and will continue to be treated as such by both the Empire and international states. As for his Daredi citizenship, von Schäfer is not a citizen of the government of the Occupied Territories - currently the government attempting to prosecute him for crimes they have created at the behest of their occupational force. Due to this, reason for extradition of him are null and void in the eyes of the Empire and its territories as this government is not the legitimate government of the Daredi territories. Any attempt to arrest Schäfer will be seen as abduction of an Englean citizen and will result in severe repercussions by the Imperial Government."

Dominion Of Vesvai Comes Under Sunrisian Airstrike And Cruise Missile Attacks: Retah AA System Destroyed In The Attack

Royal Vesvaian Security Forces at the border with New Vesvai had been hit by airstrike and cruise missile attacks. The perpetrator of the attacks was the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia. Their forces launched two airstrikes and three cruise missile strikes at the Dominion’s side of the border with New Vesvai. The attacks came from New Vesvai’s territory where one Sunrisian warplane launched two airstrikes at RVSF while staying within New Vesvai’s airspace. The Sunrisian warships that fired three cruise missiles also launched their attacks while staying in New Vesvai’s waters. Vesvai’s soldiers were not killed or injured because prior to the attacks the Sunrisians at least had the decency to warn RVSF of the incoming strikes. This gave the military time to evacuate the personnel from the border but not time to move away the artillery, the weaponry, the tech and other hardware. Sunrisian strikes fried them all according to the troops who came back to examine the aftermath of the strikes. RVSF deemed it safe to return when the Sunrisians were contacted and asked if there would be more attacks which the Dominion’s troops should be aware of. The other side said no. RVSF took the risk and returned to the border. Fortunately the Sunrisians did not lie and Vesvai’s troops were not hit with anything new out of nowhere. The military estimates big losses in equipment. The biggest loss and looks like the primary target of the Sunrisian strikes was the Retah AA System. It is an anti-missile system which Vesvai bought from Rhodevus. Vesvai’s government never denied that this system was meant to protect against possible Sunrisian nuclear missile attacks. Now Vesvai has lost that shield.

Vesvai’s Prime Minister Jonathan Mollisal denounced Sunrisian attacks and called them an act of aggression against a sovereign nation. He said that not violating Vesvai’s border by Sunrisian forces still does not excuse the attacks against the sovereign nation. PM Mollisal has sent Vesvai’s Minister of National Defense and Security Robert Praesedit to the border to examine the aftermath. Praesedit also denounced Sunrisia. After Praesedit returns PM Mollisal told him that there’s going to be an urgent meeting between the two of them needed. The Prime Minister did not exclude a cabinet meeting with national security question as the primary agenda. Vesvai’s Governor-General Andrew Gaileta called Sunrisia a terrorist state. Vesvai’s Parliament with government and opposition unanimously denounced Sunrisian aggression. All MPs stood united. They denounced it verbally and plan to pass a bill denouncing Sunrisia. Parliament does not intend to declare any sort of state of emergency, marshal law or mobilization in the face of this aggression. The government’s further action will depend on the decisions made at the cabinet national security meeting called up by PM Jonathan Mollisal.

First Military Action Under New President Addél Dîlectên: Sunrisian Strikes In Vesvai Take Out A Threat To Sunrisian Nuclear Deterrent And Send A Message

Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia has carried out its’ first major military action under the new Dîlectên administration. Sunrisian Air Force, which lifted off 1 fighter jet from an airfield in New Vesvai, launched 2 airstrikes at the armed forces of the Dominion of Vesvai stationed along the shared border with Sunrisia’s ally New Vesvai. Meanwhile, the Sunrisian Naval Forces had deployed 1 ship from a port also in New Vesvai, to launch cruise missile attacks against the Dominion’s forces. These attacks were launched, while the Sunrisian jet remained in the airspace of New Vesvai and while the Sunrisian ship remained in the territorial waters of New Vesvai. The jet and the ship were moved close to the border for a better targeting range, but the territory of the Dominion of Vesvai was not violated by crossing over into it. Prior to the attacks, the Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF) contacted the Royal Vesvaian Security Forces for the first time ever and warned them of the incoming attacks, giving the armed forces of Vesvai time to evacuate their personnel, but not enough to move away their weaponry and equipment. These were the primary targets of the Sunrisian strikes. After the combined attack of 2 airstrikes and 3 cruise missile strikes, the Sunrisian Air Force jet and the Sunrisian Naval Forces ship return to position. It was confirmed that the anti-missile system of the military of Vesvai – Retah AA System, which was purchased by Vesvai from its’ ROVAA and Commonwealth ally Rhodevus, was destroyed. The mission was declared a success.

The strikes were personally ordered by new President Addél Dîlectên, who had recently bid a farewell to the visiting Prime Minister Terr Ciramān of Creperia hosted by the President at the Presidential Palace in Orentan on an official visit. The Creperian Prime Minister’s visit to Sunrisia had to be cut short because of President Dîlectên’s switch of focus towards the operation in Vesvai, although the 2 leaders had managed to cover a lot of ground in the meeting still. The Sunrisian head of state did not go through the standard procedure of assembling a National Defense Council meeting before ordering the strikes. Instead, the President spoke with National Defense Consultant Mústêll Cónsîla and Minister of Security Rêbór Acértâ. Afterwards, the President quickly stopped by the Convet and warned the lawmakers about the strikes that the commander-in-chief was going to order. The President was not there for legislative approval of the military action. Most of the Convet appeared to react neutral or in support, while some opposition lawmakers spoke out against.

After the strikes took place and President Addél Dîlectên was informed of their outcome, the commander-in-chief had issued a statement:

“A target that our strikes had successfully taken out, was the anti-missile system in Vesvai. It threatened Sunrisian nuclear deterrent, which we have against adversary forces from the north. This action will benefit the security of our country and of our allies in our neighborhood. However, that was not the only purpose of the strikes. Recently, the armed forces of the Dominion of Vesvai had launched a border provocation, which has resulted in a new armed skirmish on the inter-Vesvai border. The forces of New Vesvai were caught off guard, but they had managed to defend themselves and fight off the attack. Obviously, Vesvai denied everything and had shifted the blame onto New Vesvai. It also happens that this flair-up on the border happened the same day, when Secretary of Sunrisia in MDAA Cáldăs Flórêna was in New Vesvai to sign the MDAA–New Vesvai Action Plan. The Dominion of Vesvai is obviously not a fan of its’ former territory’s foreign policy moves, so that is how it apparently seeks to show its’ dismay. Also, the Defense Ministry of Vesvai has used the flair-up as an excuse to pull in more forces towards the border, which disrupts the strategic balance at the tense border and sabotages the disengagement agreements that New Vesvai and Vesvai had reached in the past. Therefore, our strikes are also meant to send a signal that no new border provocations or violence from the side of Vesvai will be tolerated and that Sunrisia will protect our ally New Vesvai.”

Some opposition lawmakers criticized the unilateral action of President Addél Dîlectên for not seeking legislative approval before taking such action. Others have called out what they saw as hypocrisy from our own country’s side, considering that Sunrisia has a ballistic missile defense system, which is also an anti-missile system, stationed in Creperia and aimed against those same threats from the northern direction.

New Vesvai Supports Sunrisian Strikes Against The Dominion Of Vesvai

New Vesvai’s Parliament has applauded Sunrisian strikes against the Dominion of Vesvai at the border. MPs stood up and gave modest applause to the ally’s actions. Ministry of the Vesvaian Revolutionary Army issued a statement of support for Sunrisian strikes against Vesvai’s Royal Security Forces. Prime Minister Adi Letago accused the Dominion of Vesvai of aggressive actions, consistent deniability of those actions, accusations against New Vesvai for instability on the border and proceeding to increase militarization by using border clashes as an excuse. Head of government said that the Dominion’s lies are see through and that it no longer takes New Vesvai or its allies for fools. The strikes against the Dominion was a good message sent to the regime in Aurisi that games are done. It was a good warning of the consequences it could face for any more border provocations. Ministry of the Vesvaian Revolutionary Army praised the fact that the strikes have managed to destroy RVSF’s vital artillery which will probably make the Dominion weigh the costs and risks of its actions in the future. Luckily the Dominion was warned to evacuate its personnel so now troops on their side were hurt but next time might not be as lucky if the Dominion resumes provocations and aggression. Parliament praised the destruction of the anti-missile system that Vesvai had which means that the neighboring state would no longer be the potential saboteur of Sunrisian and MDAA nuclear deterrence. New Vesvai is personally interested in the existence and maximum effectiveness of that nuclear deterrence, said Ministry of Foreign Affairs. PM Adi Letago did not comment accusations by Vesvai’s media and their government against New Vesvai because the head of government said that he does not take anything coming from that side as serious or close to reality.

New Vesvai Signs An Action Plan With MDAA

On that same day that New Vesvai faced border fire from the Dominion of Vesvai for which the neighbor received airstrikes and cruise missile strikes in return, New Vesvai still managed to reach a historic deal for itself. The nation signed the MDAA–New Vesvai Action Plan. It was signed by PM Adi Letago and Sunrisian Secretary in MDAA Cáldăs Flórêna. Government Promises Oblaren That The Future Union Will Not Have To Endure The Kind Of Abuse That The Dominion Of Vesvai Had Been

Vesvai’s Prime Minister Jonathan Mollisal has sent a message to Oblaren’s President Nathaniel Harrisbur, the rest of the government and the people of Oblaren. Vesvai’s head of government promised that the future union of the two nations would not endure the same abuse that Vesvai and Oblaren had endured apart. PM Jonathan Mollisal was referring to the histories of both nations with conquerings, independence struggles, wars, battles and other hardships. But he did not hide that his recent address is also being made in light of recent Sunrisian strikes against the Dominion of Vesvai. The Prime Minister wanted to send a message to Oblaren’s people that the future union would not go through that sort of recent abuse either that Vesvai had to endure. He said that Sunrisia was simply using the last opportunity it had to terrorize Vesvai while it’s still on its own. It’s no coincidence that these strikes have been made so soon after Oblaren and Vesvai finally signed the Union Treaty. This sets them on the path of potential joining the ranks of world powers which not everybody may be liking as a new reality. Together Vesvai and Oblaren will be much more difficult to take on and that’s why Sunrisia has been using this last opportunity. That’s why in order for Oblaren’s people not to be scared away from the union by this Sunrisian aggression PM Jonathan Mollisal emphasized how important it was to make sure this happens. He said this union was necessary not only out of spite for the enemies of Vesvai and Oblaren but also to make these two fraternal island nations stronger together. The Prime Minister pushed forward a heartfelt message that Vesvai’s and Oblaren’s people would never have to suffer again because together they will be a force to be reckoned with on all stages of international relations. Meanwhile PM Mollisal declared that he would go to Vesvai’s Parliament as soon as possible to ask for a ratification of the Union Treaty. Commnonwealth Games Only 2 Weeks Away
Sports fans from all over the world will rejoice as the 2020 Commonwealth Summer Games draws near. As of now, the opening ceremony is only 2 weeks away, in which it would commence on that Monday. Following the opening ceremony, the games would carry on for the following two weeks, before being closed in a final ceremony. During this time, many different sports would be ongoing at the same time, as different nations' athletes compete for gold in their respective sports. This year, two new sports have been added to the Summer Games, which are Surfing and Parkour. For the games, the United Queendoms has formed their team of 336 athletes playing in every single sport in the Games, alongside hundreds of other athletes from around the globe. "I feel like we'll have good luck in these Games," said one of the trainers for Basketball, " all of our athletes have been really pushing themselves to go for their best, and our coaching staff has definitely been helping them to challenge themselves to do their very best. I feel that the training we have done over the last few years will really pay off and earn us some gold."

Ventura has also been preparing for an influx of people from both domestic and international travel. Several preparations were made once the host city was finalized, including updates to public transit and motor vehicle corridors near and inside the stadium complex to handle the extra pedestrian and car traffic. Senate And The House of Representatives Vote To Adopt The West Zilveren Guilder As The National Currency

A historic day in West Zilveren Berg. The country will have its’ own currency. The States General of the State of West Zilveren Berg has approved the adoption of West Zilveren Guilder as the national currency of West Zilveren Berg. For the transitional period, the Provisional Suni would continue to be used as the currency of West Zilveren Berg in a deal reached with the Sunrisian government. It will still be the question of future discussion if the Provisional Suni should be kept around as a second currency, but that will also require a new deal with the Sunrisian government.

As for the West Zilveren Guilder, 2 days ago, the House of Representatives voted in favor of the bill introduced by the National Movement for West Zilveren Progress (NMWZP), the party of Chief Secretary Faas Van Hoebeek, which called for the adoption of West Zilveren Guilder as the national currency of West Zilveren Berg. Since NMWZP is part of the governing coalition, which holds a parliamentary majority in the House of Representatives, it was unlikely that the bill would not pass, especially since this was an issue of national interest for West Zilveren Berg to finally have its’ own currency. Similar results were predicted for the Senate, because the governing coalition holds a majority there as well and again because of the reason that this was the question of that same national interest for West Zilveren Berg to have its’ own currency. However, the government did better than expected in both chambers.

2 days ago, the lower house House of Representatives passed the bill with a bigger majority in favor than expected. Obviously, the governing coalition voted in favor, but so did a large number of other parties and a number of opposition parties, some of which are normally very “anti-government” and relentlessly critical. The government has managed to rally even them behind this currency bill. It was one of unprecedented bipartisan moments. Of course, there were still several parties and MPs in the House of Representatives that voted against for their own reasons, but collectively, they made up a small margin.

Today, the government achieved the same sort of triumph in the Senate. Overwhelming majority voted in favor of the currency bill from one of the governing parties and it had passed. Governing coalition, other parties and a number of opposition parties supported it, with a small number of opponents, mostly MPs from those same bill-opposing parties as in the House of Representatives. With both chambers approving of the bill, it has now officially passed and West Zilveren Berg will have the West Zilveren Guilder as the country’s currency. After the bill passed, Chief Secretary Faas Van Hoebeek was caught on camera hugging the Secretaries of Finance and Economic Affairs. Many saw this moment as harmlessly comedic or shared the Chief Secretary’s joy, while others ridiculed him, including the supporters of opposition parties that voted against the bill. Others saw this as an unethical moment, while others cheered on the Chief Secretary as a “bro.”

Prime Minister Réli Novicãl of Edereon has come to the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia for an official visit. Ederi Prime Minister is in our country for the first time since President Addél Dîlectên became Sunrisian head of state. Like Prime Minister Terr Ciramān of Creperia before him, Prime Minister Réli Novicãl of Edereon is meeting President Dîlectên in person for the very first time. According to the traditional protocol, the limo of Ederi Prime Minister pulled up to the Presidential Palace, where President Dîlectên was waiting. The 2 met half-way and engaged in a long handshake captured by camera flashes and clicks. The President introduced the Prime Minister of Edereon to the Sunrisian delegation, while meeting those accompanying the Prime Minister of Edereon. Afterwards, the 2 proceeded to head into the Presidential Palace. Since Prime Minister Réli Novicãl of Edereon had been to it before, President Dîlectên did not give a tour to the Ederi head of government, however, they took some time to walk around and get to know each other. Afterwards, they proceeded with the officials.

First came the talks between the Ederi and Sunrisian delegations at a long table. Afterwards, President Addél Dîlectên and Prime Minister Réli Novicãl of Edereon proceeded to a one-on-one dialogue technically, but with their respective teams by their side. The President traditionally had Vice President Césâ Gáûdĕr, Minister of International Relations Nívâl Rêtráctăs, National Defense Consultant Mústêll Cónsîla, Minister of Security Rêbór Acértâ, and Minister of Industry, Trade and Commerce Absítâ Sépârátĕr, and the translators by his side. The dialogue included Ederi–Sunrisian relations within the ranks of MDAA and SOWEFTA, as well as bilaterally outside the multilateral alliances that both countries are part of. It was something that was discussed with Prime Minister Terr Ciramān of Creperia, whom brought it up during his visit. The Minister believes that Prime Minister of Edereon will bring it up as well. Both Creperia and Edereon have had a trade deficit issue with Sunrisia, where our country has been exporting more to Creperia and Edereon than importing from them, which has been the general trend of Sunrisian trade with other countries overall. Selling more, buying less. However, the Creperian and Ederi arguments have been that as member states of SOWEFTA in a free trade area with Sunrisia, the same kind of situation should not be present. Meanwhile, Minister of International Relations Nívâl Rêtráctăs shared a more informal statement of hope that the visit of the Prime Minister of Edereon would not have to be cut short by other circumstances, like the Creperian Prime Minister’s visit has.

Vesvai Considers The Purchase Of A New Anti-Missile System After Sunrisia Destroyed The Last

A national security meeting of Vesvai’s cabinet concluded that the Dominion of Vesvai should not be put into a state of emergency, marshal law or anything similar after all. Even with the recent new border clash with New Vesvai and an attack on the Dominion of Vesvai by Sunrisia the government concluded that it was not necessary to put the nation in a war-like readiness state. Another flair-up with New Vesvai which has not been the first and possibly won’t be the last has started but ended very soon again like the past ones. An attack by Sunrisia was truly breathtaking but for now it appears like no new attacks will be coming because it seems like the Sunrisians have taken out their essential targets. The essential one seemingly being the Sunrisian-hated Retah AA anti-missile system. Of course weakening the Royal Vesvaian Security Forces by taking out the tech and destroying the nation’s anti-nuclear security does leave it vulnerable to future attacks or even worse. The cabinet did not rule that out. But at this instance Vesvai will be putting in hope into the alliances it’s part of: ROVAA, Rhodeve Commonwealth and soon-to-be Union of Oblaren and Vesvai. Those are what Vesvai will turn to for protection. But of course any nation has to count on its own strength and show that it’s ready to defend itself first and foremost before counting on ally help. The only state of things that will remain in place in Vesvai is the mandatory curfew imposed when the risk of civil unrest is determined as high and a ban on mass group gatherings on the street.

Even with the decision not to put Vesvai in a war-like state and retain a peaceful state the national security meeting still concluded one thing. It was thanks to Vesvai’s Minister of National Defense and Security Robert Praesedit who brought it up. He told the meeting that Vesvai is still going to need a new anti-missile system. Whether it’s the same Retah AA which Vesvai will once again ask to buy from Rhodevus or some other system from some other allied nation. Praesedit acknowledged that Sunrisia may attempt to strike that system too but he said that next time the Dominion of Vesvai should be ready to hit back. He said that Vesvai can’t afford to opt out of having an anti-missile system because it leaves Vesvai vulnerable to Sunrisian nuclear blackmail and also Vesvai’s allies in the same area. By having an anti-missile system Vesvai is essentially contributing to an anti-nuclear shield for itself but also for nations in northern and northeastern directions where Sunrisia might aim its missiles. Praesedit even went as far as to say that if Sunrisia keeps blackmailing Vesvai then the nation should be ready to allow nuclear weapons of Vesvai’s allies who have them to be put on Vesvai’s territory.

Vesvai’s Prime Minister Jonathan Mollisal expressed solidarity with Vesvai’s Minister of National Defense and Security Robert Praesedit. He supported most of what Praesedit was saying. But he also said that Vesvai would soon no longer be making such vital decisions on its own because the nation will be forming a union with Oblaren soon. He also said that this was exactly the reason why Vesvai now needs to maintain calm to proceed with plans that have already been made on achieving the union with Oblaren in practice and not just on paper like it’s now.

Emissary for Adversary Exchanges (EAE) of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Cálêr Ustrīnâ has warned that a new anti-missile system on the territory of the Dominion of Vesvai could suffer the same fate as Retah AA recently did. This statement was made in response to statements from the Dominion of Vesvai, where during a national security meeting, the country’s Defense Minister Robert Praesedit suggested that the Dominion of Vesvai should get a new anti-missile system to replace the destroyed Retah AA. The Defense Minister of Vesvai stated that it could either be the same Retah AA system bought from the same supplier Rhodevus or a new system from another supplier. Moreover, he said that the Dominion of Vesvai should be ready to hit back next time, if Sunrisian forces target the new anti-missile system and stretched out the importance of having the system as an anti-nuclear shield for Vesvai and for its’ allies in the region. Finally, the Defense Minister of Vesvai went as far as to say that his country should be ready to place nuclear missiles of the allies of Vesvai that are nuclear states, on the territory of Vesvai. There has not seemed to be a consensus on these plans within the government of Vesvai, but just the existence of these proposals and the hypothetical scenarios they could lead to, was enough for Sunrisian diplomats not to ignore them.

“My function is strictly diplomatic, although more on the harsher side because I am the one who has to deal with our adversaries. So it is natural that my lexicon could lean towards the side unconventional to normal diplomacy. Still, military talk is not my area. And yet, I have to correct the Defense Minister of Vesvai, when he says that the new anti-missile system in the Dominion of Vesvai might get targeted by Sunrisian forces. He suggested it was a question of “if”, in which case the armed forces of Vesvai should strike back which they did not this time. They evacuated personnel like our military suggested they do before the strikes. There is no question of “if” the hypothetical new anti-missile system in Vesvai will be targeted. The hypothetical new anti-missile system in Vesvai will indeed be targeted. However, it depends on the definition of “targeted.” The Department of Security and the command of the Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF) will tell you that the new system would immediately be locked on like Retah AA was locked on from the day it was put there. That is because Sunrisia keeps all anti-missile systems, bases and military objects of strategic adversaries, which are put at our range or our area, targeted. They are always locked on and the strike on them is always ready. That concerns the military objects of the Commonwealth of Rhodevus member states and that of the Englean Kaiserreich, whether they are placed in Ispanza, Eubatu, Vesvai or elsewhere close. In case there is an engagement, our forces are ready to take those targets out. Retah was locked on, it is gone and as soon as a replacement is put in its’ location, it will be locked on as well. In case there is a new incident, by that logic, I am just warning that a new anti-missile system might as well suffer the same fate as Retah AA did. The anti-missile systems of our strategic adversaries shields them, but threatens our nuclear deterrent against them. In a sword and a shield fight, you will logically try to take away your opponents shield, while maintaining your own, so that is why we have a ballistic missile defense system stationed in Creperia. That is part of our own shield for us and for our allies that we are going to protect.

Concerning another disturbing thing that the Defense Minister of Vesvai said, about placing nuclear missiles of their allies on their territory, the territory of Vesvai. I feel like there is something I should say about and I feel like I was about to, because I brought it up. But I honestly don’t know what to say. It is just so ignorant. By doing so, the least harmful thing that Vesvai’s leadership would do is disturb the strategic balance. The most harmful? Nuclear war, which could very much become a Third World War very soon, because it is difficult to contain a conflict like that in a geographic area. Of course, we could quickly destroy the island of Vesvai, but we do not want to do that, because that is the island that our ally New Vesvai is on and also we do not want to kill the people of Vesvai, because our enemy is their leadership and not the people of Vesvai. We have accused the leadership of Vesvai of human rights violations and undermining democracy in their country, among other things. So our strategic interest, in case something breaks out, would be to target the leadership of Vesvai, while liberating their people.”

Urgent Confederal Council meeting called up by President Hans Receni over a new virus in Ritterland

President of the Daredi Confederation Hans Receni has called up a previously unplanned Confederal Council meeting today which he would chair. The topic is the new and not yet known or researched virus that has begun spreading on the island of Ritterland, an Englean overseas territory.

“[A]lthough Daredis know that Ritterland is a far-away island on another continent President Hans Receni says its spread could fasten. His argument is that by originating in Ritterland the virus could start spreading through other Englean territories or former Englean colonies by people from Ritterland moving freely through the ‘Englean sphere.’ Daredland’s predecessor state Neu-Steinland is the only one that broke away from this sphere but it doesn’t yet make the nation invulnerable to this danger that has developed in Ritterland and could spread elsewhere in the Englean colonial area around the world. President of the Daredi Confederation asked the Confederal Ministry of Home Affairs of the Daredi Confederation and the Confederal Ministry of Public Health of the Daredi Confederation to brainstorm ideas on protecting Daredland from being affected by the virus. Opposition parties Party for Central Approach (PCA) and Social Liberal Party (SLP) criticized the government for starting to spread the panic in Daredland without proving that the virus is even of danger to Daredland. Confederal Chancellor of the Daredi Confederation Lars Sommer asked Daredi citizens to stay calm because there’s no emergency or a reason to panic. The government is simply discussing preemptive measures according to him.
