Emmanuelle chose not to pay too much attention to what she saw as his euphemistic comment about locks and keys, wondering who exactly this boy was to tell her that he was confident that he knew what she wanted within seconds of their first conversation. There was a confidence and cheek to it she respected, having came from a country where the right to say whatever you wanted was treasured. And he certainly had a valid point in questioning where she might get her kicks in this foreign country, for that was something she hadn't yet figured out. All she knew so far was that this place was not going to be the libertarian paradise that home was, already she was familiar with the oppressive (in her mind) age restrictions on tobacco and alcohol they had here. If they were strict with those kind of things, this might even be the kind of socially backwards country that still criminalised cannabis, and it made Emmanuelle realise getting a self-proclaimed non-conformist on her side would be a good start to life here in Folaisia. She approached him a little closer, suitcase still trailing behind her.
"That sounds more like what you want." she replied, trying to be insightful whilst playfully accusing him of projection. "Me personally, I like to know someone's name before discussing extra-curricular activities with them."

He will consider a lack of response to be an example of not taking him seriously, as well as an insult to the girl.

And what are the laws on foreigners carrying firearms?
If 17 is old enough and non-citizens are allowed Khalid would instantly apply look into a permit.

Pocketknives are allowed to be carried, but when reaching school grounds or workplaces, they must be handed over to a receptionist. Switchblades are limited carry, with blade limit of 3 inches and must be concealed and handed over to a receptionist if going to school or a workplace. Letter openers are to be used for its sole purpose only.Champagne Socialist Sharifistan wrote:And what are the laws on foreigners carrying firearms?

Foreigners are not permitted to carry firearms.

Name: Melodie Robillard
Nation of Origin: Free Republics
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Religion/Faith: Nominally Christian but she's not religious and hates when her parents drag her to church for Christmas and Easter
School of Origin: Falkamore Success Academy, Falkamore, Nejax, Free Republics
Current Year: High School Freshman
Background:Smart, popular and completely ungovernable, Melodie Robillard has been disappointing her parents and her teachers for years by failing to live up to her potential. Recently, she's become involved with a boyfriend nearly twice her age who has a reputation as a local street gang leader. This proved to be the last straw for her parents, both of whom are medical doctors, who decided the best thing for their daughter would be to send her out of the country altogether to get her away from the bad influences around her. In addition, they were aware that she was frequenting a bar and regularly smoking cannabis and weren't thrilled with either of these things even if they were perfectly legal for teenagers in the Free Republics. While Melodie has maintained roughly a B average in school, her standardized test scores are extremely high and she enjoys reading books, both fiction and non-fiction and wants to become a writer. She agreed to go to school abroad when her parents threatened to enroll her in an Ecumenical Coalition for Morality school and decided that there was no way leaving the country would be worse than the draconian schools run by that extremist Christian organization. In her application documents, her parents intentionally omitted the more troublesome parts of her record.
Health Issue(s): None. Lost her virginity at age 13.
Roleplay Sample: I mostly RP in NS Sports so I'll post recent examples of a few different styles of RP: Example One Example Two Example Three Example Four

St. Peadrus has a variety of clubs, as well as sports (such as shinty, rugby, soccer)--though I'm not much of a sports person. Yeah, we can add an art club.
The school also has a student government.

Batons restricted to police and military use only. Pepper spray is allowed, but also concealed. Tazers are considered self-defense weapons, but once on school grounds, they must be handed over to a receptionist.

He'll have to hand it over to a receptionist when entering campus, and will have to notify the staff and faculty that this is issued by his home school. On top of this, I'm planning to create a HEMA and Swordfighting club, though I'm not much of a swordfighting person, so all in all, his sword will be an exception.

You know what we should do? We should take an OOC vote on what kind of club we should start, and just have an arc surrounding us band of misfits trying to make that club.
