GRA Today: Arcadian government issues quaratine of Rodony, and offers refuge to cleared Rodons in FASC

Casatolo in the wake of the evacuation of Rodony has issued travel restrictions on the island nations in the aftermath of the deadly outbreak with has caused the full sale evacuation of the country. The Arcadian government in response has offered to send medical teams to screen refugees for the virus and those who are healthy with no traces of the virus to be sent to the island of St. Homburg, an island located in the south of the October Islands, island chain. At this time flights and ships from the country have been turned away until all passengers have been screened.

Ameria is also willing to accept Rudon refugees, provided they have been screened. However, if you are unable to currently adequately screen refugees, we are willing to assist.

Many Rudons are stating that this could very probably be the end for the country and that they have lost everything, including family.

The Parliament of the Green Union has called for yet another Kamooko Pact emergency meeting on the crisis in Rudony. The KP's previous suggestions floated to assist the island nation were shut down when Sevevill began attacking their ships, but a large faction within the alliance has continued to push for action.

The PGU's official stance on this matter is that the entire KP should be shut to Rudon flights and shipping, including refugees under the current system. The risk of contamination, they say, is just too high. The PGU has asked those laboratories working with the fungus on Rudony to share their findings on its resilience and ability to spread, so that other countries may take the necessary precautions to protect themselves.

Rudons Given Sanctuary

Rudon refugees have breathed a sigh of relief as three countries open their borders to healthy and screened refugees. The Empress has expressed her gratitude to Emerstari, Arcadia, Altos and Stratis for their kindness. Meanwhile, she has also expressed understanding to the Kamooko Pact and the PGU, but hopes that a decision is made soon. As healthy refugees begin their journeys, the islands continue to be monitored but unfortunately further attempts to contain the fungus has been met with a shocking discovery. New research into the fungus has led to the realisation that the fungus can spread into saltwater and infect sea fauna and flora.

The fungus has been officially named the Myäwe parasite, translated from Rudonic the name roughly means "Great Devourer". Although the spread underwater is severely limited, research groups find themselves fiercely concerned with the implications. The death toll has risen to 20,704 with the new infected number at 456,708. Rudon clinics, by request of medical services of Markion, has decided to share their knowledge of the fungus. At the moment the standard ways of dealing with fungus are in use such as using excessive amounts of bleach being sprayed on all surfaces. If the infection is discovered early in a victim, use of rubbing alcohol and traditional antifungal creams are entirely viable but do not defend against later infections. If the host is infected for more than a few days to a week then the fungus will have spread too deep into the victim's body and will begin to paralyse the host. At this point, not much can be done beyond easing the passing of the victim. If a victim is exposed to an area which has been filled with Myäwe mushroom spores then the infection process can be sped up to as quick as barely a few hours. Currently, most areas in Rudony are being firebombed with old napalm bombs in order to contain the fungus. This has been the most effective of "cures".

They were moving forward. Slowly but slowly is still forward. They had had to start branding captured soldiers and setting them free with a promise of hot lead if they were captured again. Those flyboys are getting risky... He watched as a SG-87 swung down and unleashed some missiles on SIDF strongpoints around thee blocks away from the building they were crammed into. There were somewhat established lines in the city. Imperial forces hadent been able to move and neither had they. He had asked for tanks to be airdropped in so they had another advantage but so far the Admrial on the Princess Emma had been hesitant to send bigger planes to the island. Unfortunately for now it was just constant airstrikes on enemy combatants.

Yea. It would appear that they got some anti air guns and lights up. Its making it hard on them they have been coming in alot lower than they used to. Unfortunately it would have to stay like that for the time being until they could get some more armor.

General Arthur Stone watched as one by one the helicopters lifted off, again heading to September Island. They were fewer in number than the last time they made this journey. Stone sighed as he remembered how the last excursion to September Island went, and the fallout from it. The long and infuriating phone calls with his superiors and the Defence minister. He had been told that a review of the entire incident was ongoing, but he had not heard any news regarding it in some time.

Then he smiled as he remembered the most interesting part of the SI fiasco, the suicidal bravery of a member of the KP garrison. He thought back to when Reaper showed him some of the footage they had gathered while on the mission, he had watched incredulously as someone picked up an AK and began firing at them. At great risk to themselves and those around them. Later he had learned that intelligence had identified the figure in the video as Major Liso Glace with a probability of 80%. Stone wondered if she was still alive, the Sevevillian invasion had hit SI hard and the Sevevillian were continuing their streak of brutal warfare. He had read the reports of how the Sevevillian’s were handling POW’s, the brandings, the forced labor, and the conscription of POW’s to assist in the conquest of their own island.

Sources of the Imperial Marine Corps in the Oceanian theatre has today announced the capture of September City, along with the formal surrender of the island’s defence forces. Over around three days of tough fighting in the capital, all SIDF air defence assets had been expended or destroyed, and Imperial aircraft were uncontested above the vulnerable island. Faced with unrelenting airstrikes and a new wave of heliborne marines landing with impunity, the demoralized SIDF leadership finally threw in the towel.

The SIDF’s last semblance of a high command had been holed up in a makeshift parking garage turned command centre, with Imperial marines only a couple of blocks away when the ceasefire was begged for. Within minutes, the headquarters had been seized and its occupants made to sign an end to armed resistance in the country.

However, Sevevill’s victory is not complete. Upon entering both the Kamooko Pact headquarters and houses of government, Imperial troops were annoyed to find them all but empty. All the major civilian officials of the September government and KP were able to flee the island over the last days of fighting, leaving only a few bureaucrats who were incapable of or unwilling to escape.

To compound problems, a great deal of military equipment has gone missing from old KP scrap sites, and much of the country’s infrastructure has been seriously damaged. Bridges have been collapsed, roads have been blocked, airstrips have been torn up, and fuel reserves have been set alight. It will be quite some time before repairs can be made and a substantial armed force can be operated out of September Island.

The North Western Alliance had enough. Political threats to Sevevill would do nothing. They do not care. They, like the Arcadians, are still trapped in a dogmatic age where you can take what you want as long as you have bigger guns. The NWA would not stand for this. If the KP were to sit around twiddling their thumbs and leave the empires of Markion to scramble for September Island, then they were only ones who would try to stop them, and free September Island.

September Island, Contested Waters

The fleet had arrived. Finally, after so long, the carrier group had taken the long way through Markion, taken some bruises from Sevevill on the way, but had pulled through. Now a standoff began as the fleet moved into a favourable position. They had a large force, but that force could not be resupplied via regular means. This would need to be a surgical mission. Id they were to succeed, nothing could be wasted, everyone had a job to do, and they couldn't fail.

“Oi, Maleov, the Xekkies are attacking OP Kesseat again, gear up!” He saw Sergeant Kiežki out of the corner of his eye waving him to get moving.
Jordi grabbed his rifle and gear rig and ran, there was an APC waiting, a young conscript, no older than 19 pulled him up on top. “First time, kid?”
“Yes, M’sergensk,” Jordi saw the fear in his eyes.
“Don’t worry, I’m not gonna let those Xekkies hurt you or anyone, I always come back with ALL my men.”
The convoy of mixed vehicles of varying ages moved along the battered street of Vilak Modona. Gunfire erupted as the APC in front of them was hit by a dumbfire rocket. “Sches, Sches!” the platoon leader started panicking over the radio.
“Xekkies, three o’clock,” Jordi yelled to his squad. He started talking to his radioman, Yuri. “If we don’t get shit in here, we will all die, we are obviously outnumbered.”
Yuri’s hands were shaking while punching in the numbers for Air Command, “Yeah, shit, Jesus died upon the cross for this shit.”
For a moment, there was a blank crackle on the radio, it was broken by “Air Command, state your position and callsign.”
“This is eagle black 1-2. We got fuckin’ Xekkies on us in sector bravo-3-4-delta. Requesting immediate air support.”
“Eagle Black 1-2, that is a negative, we have no planes in your sector, you will have to wait,” the crackled voice was broken by Yuri screaming over the radio.
“Many men will die if you don’t get a damn plane over here, do you copy?”
“I will see what I can do, over.” there was a long silence. “We have an X-12 headed your way, ETA is fifteen minutes, copy.”
Jordi called out, “fifteen minutes boys! Just hold em back!” He leveled his sights on the head of a Xekniyan insurgent, he didn’t even look like a man, he looked like Jordi’s kid brother, but in his adrenaline filled rage he let off a burst of five shots, mangling the face of the poor soul.
Within five minutes, screams of the wounded filled the air; somewhat even drowning out gunfire. The ammo stores of an infantry fighting vehicle a little bit ahead exploded a few minutes later as Jordi was struggling to keep his men organized and Yuri kept checking in for status.
Finally, the sound of saving grace had arrived; the droning buzz of an X-12. It strafed the enemy positions and dropped some sort of incendiary device. Jordi could see the wounded insurgents fleeing, but as their own saving grace one raised his rifle, and fired. It hit the young conscript square in the forehead.
The battered convoy returned to the main operating base. Jordi was silent, Yuri comforted him saying, “It wasn’t your fault man.” To Jordi, it was his fault. He had not fulfilled his promise to protect his men.

Jordi simply could not sleep that night. He finally broke the barrier and drifted off into a dream. He saw the figure of a woman walking towards him. It was unmistakable; it was Eco.
“It wasn’t your fault, Jordi,” she was stroking his cheek, he could almost feel the sensation of her smooth palm. The words of her voice echoed in his mind.
He leaned in to kiss her, but her image was vaporized in a blinding light. Just before him then, was the private, hole in head saying “Why, sergensk, why did I have to die?”

NWA Announces Preperation of Intervention Into Xekniya

Today the NWA announced that another carrier group was being mustered to send to Phoenixia and has begun to form up near the military port of Nulaar like the September Carrier Group before them. The Guanjan and Terestroian government has ordered the government of Phoenixia to stand down all military operations in Xekniya immediately in order to facilitate Xekniya's independence from the small rogue nation. If the Phoenixian government does not respond within the week, the NWA will declare war upon Phoenixia and liberate the country in its entirety.

In lighter news, the NWA has announced that it will take in as many Rudon refugees that arrive in either Terestroi or Guanja and will send civilian vessels to transport healthy individuals to Alliance territory. The NWA would now show the world their true colours and power as an alliance in Markion. The days of the SWB, ASAF and KP was over, the NWA would secure a future for a truly free Markion under the democratic rule of a modern and progressive governance.

The Yuyan Citadel. Part military base and part temple for Buddhists and Durranese animists alike. The place was built roughly one thousand, one hundred years ago. Originally it was a temple, but when Kaltura invaded, it served as an excellent, central point in the old Confederacy to gather forces and train men. Slowly over time, the building grew. From a humble temple to a citadel and testament of Durranese military engineering and construction. That's what Qin's father said about it. His father always told him about how one day he would have to grow up and become a man, but the only way he could do that was by dedicating himself to the great cause and becoming a full-time soldier. Becoming a soldier in the Confederate Army was no joke. From this point on Qin would train every day for years. He wasn't going to be a common part-time soldier, he was going to be apart of the elite. If he wasn't dead, he would be training.

The truck rocked a little as it passed over some rough ground. Qin came out of his daydream as the recruit in front of him spoke. "Ah, look whose finally awake!" The boy grinned and patted Qin's knee, "We've just crossed the border into the Citadel's land if you don't know already, we get to see all the monks farming our dinner for tonight." The boy was taller than most others there and had a shaved head down to the skin. He seemed to have a natural smile and radiated a welcoming aura. Qin spoke back. "You're quite lively for one whose about to be beaten near to death, what's your name? My last name is Zhang." The boy perked up, "So formal! My first name is Xuan, and one must keep a good attitude if one is to be beaten for the rest of my military career!" The truck laughed and smiled together. "Fair enough, my name is Qin."

Just as Xuan said, the truck came over the hill and before Qin's eyes, he saw miles of fields being used for farming. Monks were tending to crops or animals and going about day to day chores and still their faces beamed with joy as the day's monotonous tasks went on. But sticking out of the flat farming grounds that went on for miles was what they were heading to, the citadel. Qin was mildly disappointed but still amazed. The grand citadel was not a tall fortress with battlements that went on for miles, it did not have a massive keep that stretched up into the sky. Qin's father had never described it as such, but Qin always imagined it like that. Despite this, awe still struck the lad of sixteen years, along with the rest of his peers. Rather than tall, the citadel was wide and stretched across a large swathe of land. Its ancient walls were painted regularly and looked beautiful but were short and stocky. The temple within the walls was wide and flat topped but angled enough that rains might fall off of it. Although the temple was Buddhist, Durranese animists still treated it as a place of pilgrimage. What seemed like hundreds of other buildings dotted the inside of the fort, a mixture of barracks, store houses and more.

As the truck closed into Yuyan, Xuan made everyone jolt. "Woah! See all those other trucks? They're packed with recruits!" Qin looked up and saw many convoys of trucks coming from many different roads and directions. "I've never seen so many, even in the movies..." Xuan smirked at Qin and replied, "They're from the cities, we've had parades in the street recently encouraging people to join up, you're telling me you didn't see that? You a horse herder or somethin'?" Qin turned to his new friend, "Yeah, did the sweet scent of our national animal tip you off?" Xuan pinched his nose and waved his other hand as he turned back round to sit after gawking at the swarm of trucks, "Oh, my friend, it gave it off somethin' fierce!" The truck once again erupted with laughter. Qin chuckled with the thought that this whole army thing may not be tiring or dull at all with such a lively bunch along the way. This was the right choice. He thought to himself.

Qin slumped onto his bed. "By the mountain, that was the worst choice I've ever made" He exclaimed, out of breath. Another also fell onto their narrow and low down bed. It was Xuan. "If one is to," he took several gasping breaths, "succeed... one must exceed!" He fumbled around as if just woken up from 15 hours of sleep, trying to find water. Qin found his water bottle before Xuan and took several camel-like gulps of water. He then attempted to keep the conversation going. "I'm not sure I expected full days of marching or even entire days of practising one technique... I suppose it helps achieve a good..." Qin slowed down, trying to use fewer words to get across his point, "muscle memory, gets it into our heads, more effective." He sat up straight and tried to practice mindfulness and breathing techniques taught by the Buddhist monks on his first day.

Meditation was a key part of the training, so said the company commander. Qin rolled back his shoulders and tried to get into a good posture. Xuan smirked, "You don't actually think that'll improve your ability to shoot someone do you?" Qin frowned, "Maybe if you actually tried it, you'd understand." Xuan was far more into the physical aspect of his training, could only really learn if he could hold it and use it. Qin, on the other hand, did fantastically with the more slow parts of the training, learning to feel his body, all of its movements, pushes and pulls, mastering his mind and achieving a true focus. "You'll end up being the desig-..." Xuan let out a long breath, took a sip of his water that he'd finally found and continued, "the sniper boy." Xuan was too tired for what he considered long and complicated words. "I'll be put in the position I'm good at, as will you. You're looking like your going to be manning the SAW." Qin replied. "Just because I like big guns doesn't mean I'm any good with them." Xuan finally laid down and his breath began to slow down finally.

"It's been what? A month now?" Xuan asked. "Yep didn't think that the training would be so tiring, every day I can't wait to get to bed." Qin closed his eyes and tried to focus more on meditating. But his new best friend kept on talking. "Funny considering how I always wanted to stay up past my bedtime, now I want nothing more than to sleep from eight o'clock in the evening until eight in the morning. And the thing is, they don't even let us do that! Our bedtimes are erratic!" Qin, his thoughts a bit more clear now replied calmly. "You know it's done that way in order to simulate what it could be like on a real battlefield. Sometimes we could only sleep for half an hour before getting attacked." Xuan sighed, a little defeated, wanting more of a bitching session rather than reality. "Food's a bit shit though," Qin whispered with a half-smile. Xuan smiled and began to giggle, Both of them soon began to laugh uncontrollably with Qin losing his posture, the two laughing more about the fact that they were laughing rather than the actual joke.

Soon enough a teacher called out to them from outside the barracks, telling them to shut the fuck up or be beaten. The two quickly quietened down but still smiled and giggled quietly until it wasn't funny anymore.

Following the Kamooko Pact's disastrous defence of September Island, the new KDC leaders have finally announced a major overhaul of the defence pact’s force projection capabilities. While the KP’s armed wing was originally designed as a very static organization for mutual defence mostly of the Vilhalan border, recent events in the post-Mackenzie era have shown this to be unrealistic. With half of member nations now overseas and more military commitments in far off corners of the region, a massive increase in strategic mobility is required.

The current plan involves the introduction of two new classes of vessel to the KDC Maritime Command. The first of these, a drone carrier, will become the second class of capital ship planned for the new fleet. The second, an amphibious assault ship, will make up for the alliance’s sore lack of ground force mobility with the capacity to transport infantry and vehicles, and deploy quickly by helicopter or or at port. Both are to be designed and built rapidly from existing civilian ship hulls, so as to get these much needed ships into service as soon as possible. The KP has started searching for decommissioned civilian vessels of a single class, refusing to build these ships from multiple different hull designs. Kamooko is mostly looking to their own freighter and oil shipping companies, however a small group of officials have suggested buying new examples from foreign companies in Ameria or even out of region sources. Companies should be able to prove that, when reconfigured in one of two ways, the freighter is large enough to carry and maintain a large complement of drones, or 5,000 fully kitted soldiers and their vehicles for an extended duration.

The addition of these two ship classes should allow the KP to quickly respond in force to emerging threats around the region, increasing the mobility of non-specialist formations within the alliance. In particular, officials are hopeful that these ships will allow greater flexibility in protecting Kamooko Pact shipping lanes and permit greater force to be brought down on territories without secure airbases or ports. The expected Markion Union intervention in Drejveška, Sevevillian raids on KP shipping, and of course the battle of September Island were referred to as operations which could or have been well served by these planned ships.

Leaders in the Kamooko Defence Command have today met in Ryune to discuss major reforms for the KP’s military wing. Embarrassing and very public failures have mired the alliance since even before its founding, but the string of recent embarrassments has finally forced the alliance to change.

Officials are expected to discuss their inability to defend Altaguay and September Island, humiliating expulsion from Diyaristan, botched military exercise with the Albatanian RRF, and abortive effort at sending aid to Rudony, among other failures.

How they will decide to adapt is another matter entirely. The original Kamooko Accords were decidedly vague on the composition and mandate of the KDC, and how member states were supposed to support it. And under the leadership of the document’s main contributor, Pierre Mackenzie, the KP focused mostly on joint economic initiatives while parking the KDC as a deterrent on the Vilhalan border. With the dust finally settling after Mackenzie’s death, the new emergent leaders of the KP seem prepared to take the alliance in a different direction.

If the host is infected for more than a few days to a week then the fungus will have spread too deep into the victim's body and will begin to paralyse the host. At this point, not much can be done beyond easing the passing of the victim. If a victim is exposed to an area which has been filled with Myäwe mushroom spores then the infection process can be sped up to as quick as barely a few hours. Currently, most areas in Rudony are being firebombed with old napalm bombs in order to contain the fungus. This has been the most effective of "cures".

The Sevevillian Imperial Air Force has offered its services in Rudony’s firebombing campaign against the Myäwe parasite, on the grounds that continued spread could mean terrible destruction across the region. Sevevill has admitted that it has little concern for the aggressive regime of Rudony itself, which still has not apologized for the shooting down of a Sevevillian jet and continues to spout propaganda against the empire. However, Sevevill must now do its part for the security of Markion at large. President Joseph Henry has called on all nations to put aside their differences and firebomb Rudony together.

The Free Kingdom of Allanea wishes to express its deepest condolences to the families of the dead in Rudony, and to those afflicted by the fungal infection there. However, we cannot help but express concern about the use of napalm to attempt to contain the infection. That is due to two reasons, as expressed by our Emergency Response Command (EMERCOM). While napalm is highly destructive to infrastructure (because, of course, it burns everything) its effectiveness at destroying fungus is naturally limited by its ability to thoroughly burn things. On an ounce-per-ounce comparison, an ounce of bleach is likely to destroy more fungus and be cheaper and destroy less civilian infrastructure than napalm. Moreover, we would like to remind our partners that napalm requires delivery by means of air-droppable containers and cannot be effectively sprayed from aircraft – vastly reducing the amount of napalm that can be delivered, and the amount of areas that can be covered, per weight of aircraft payload. In addition, naturally bombs can only be dropped with any precision by aircraft equipped with bomb racks.

Furthermore, we remind MArkion nations that if less than 100% of spores are destroyed by the napalm (for example if the spores have been outside the direct burn area for whatever reason) updrafts caused by the firestorms will, inevitably, deposit surviving spores in the upper layers of the atmosphere , where prevailing winds will quite likely seed them throughout the region.

We propose a more effective solution, one that we would like to term Operation Firebreak: the delivery of bleach solution by crop-dusters, fire tankers, and other comparable aircraft, and dropping it out to sanitize large areas and create barriers between the advancing infection and the retreating citizens of Rudony.

Finally we propose the deployment of medical-grade UV fungicide lights at any chokepoints, at airports where refugees from Rudony are arriving, and of course in Rudony itself. This will be a substantial defense against the spores.

Moreover, the Free Kingdom of Allanea is preparing quarantine facilities to meet the burden of assisting the people of Rudoni. We expect to have facilities for 10,000 people to be ready within 24 hours, and facilities for 100,000 people to be prepared within the week.

We offer all nations of Markion our assistance and cooperation in this issue. Moreover, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working a plan for assistance and reconstruction for Oceania and Rudony that will soon be presented to the people of Markion for their approval.

It will be quite some time before repairs can be made and a substantial armed force can be operated out of September Island.

The North Western Alliance had enough. Political threats to Sevevill would do nothing. They do not care. They, like the Arcadians, are still trapped in a dogmatic age where you can take what you want as long as you have bigger guns. The NWA would not stand for this. If the KP were to sit around twiddling their thumbs and leave the empires of Markion to scramble for September Island, then they were only ones who would try to stop them, and free September Island.

September Island, Contested Waters

The fleet had arrived. Finally, after so long, the carrier group had taken the long way through Markion, taken some bruises from Sevevill on the way, but had pulled through. Now a standoff began as the fleet moved into a favourable position. They had a large force, but that force could not be resupplied via regular means. This would need to be a surgical mission. Id they were to succeed, nothing could be wasted, everyone had a job to do, and they couldn't fail.

“Don’t worry, I’m not gonna let those Xekkies hurt you or anyone, I always come back with ALL my men.”
The convoy of mixed vehicles of varying ages moved along the battered street of Vilak Modona. Gunfire erupted as the APC in front of them was hit by a dumbfire rocket. “Sches, Sches!” the platoon leader started panicking over the radio.
“Xekkies, three o’clock,” Jordi yelled to his squad. He started talking to his radioman, Yuri. “If we don’t get shit in here, we will all die, we are obviously outnumbered.”
Yuri’s hands were shaking while punching in the numbers for Air Command, “Yeah, shit, Jesus died upon the cross for this shit.”
For a moment, there was a blank crackle on the radio, it was broken by “Air Command, state your position and callsign.”
“This is eagle black 1-2. We got fuckin’ Xekkies on us in sector bravo-3-4-delta. Requesting immediate air support.”
“Eagle Black 1-2, that is a negative, we have no planes in your sector, you will have to wait,” the crackled voice was broken by Yuri screaming over the radio.
“Many men will die if you don’t get a damn plane over here, do you copy?”
“I will see what I can do, over.” there was a long silence. “We have an X-12 headed your way, ETA is fifteen minutes, copy.”
Jordi called out, “fifteen minutes boys! Just hold em back!” He leveled his sights on the head of a Xekniyan insurgent, he didn’t even look like a man, he looked like Jordi’s kid brother, but in his adrenaline filled rage he let off a burst of five shots, mangling the face of the poor soul.
Within five minutes, screams of the wounded filled the air; somewhat even drowning out gunfire. The ammo stores of an infantry fighting vehicle a little bit ahead exploded a few minutes later as Jordi was struggling to keep his men organized and Yuri kept checking in for status.
Finally, the sound of saving grace had arrived; the droning buzz of an X-12. It strafed the enemy positions and dropped some sort of incendiary device. Jordi could see the wounded insurgents fleeing, but as their own saving grace one raised his rifle, and fired. It hit the young conscript square in the forehead.
The battered convoy returned to the main operating base. Jordi was silent, Yuri comforted him saying, “It wasn’t your fault man.” To Jordi, it was his fault. He had not fulfilled his promise to protect his men.

Jordi simply could not sleep that night. He finally broke the barrier and drifted off into a dream. He saw the figure of a woman walking towards him. It was unmistakable; it was Eco.
“It wasn’t your fault, Jordi,” she was stroking his cheek, he could almost feel the sensation of her smooth palm. The words of her voice echoed in his mind.
He leaned in to kiss her, but her image was vaporized in a blinding light. Just before him then, was the private, hole in head saying “Why, sergensk, why did I have to die?”

NWA Announces Preperation of Intervention Into Xekniya

Today the NWA announced that another carrier group was being mustered to send to Phoenixia and has begun to form up near the military port of Nulaar like the September Carrier Group before them. The Guanjan and Terestroian government has ordered the government of Phoenixia to stand down all military operations in Xekniya immediately in order to facilitate Xekniya's independence from the small rogue nation. If the Phoenixian government does not respond within the week, the NWA will declare war upon Phoenixia and liberate the country in its entirety.

In lighter news, the NWA has announced that it will take in as many Rudon refugees that arrive in either Terestroi or Guanja and will send civilian vessels to transport healthy individuals to Alliance territory. The NWA would now show the world their true colours and power as an alliance in Markion. The days of the SWB, ASAF and KP was over, the NWA would secure a future for a truly free Markion under the democratic rule of a modern and progressive governance.

The Right Honourable Charlotte Fried, still seen as the prime minister of the Green Union and emergent acting leader of the exiled PGU, took some questions from reporters outside the centre where she indicated a desire to settle the score.

“The Altosians and Stratisians have an independent streak which makes them risky to partner with,” She responded after being asked whether these islanders were to be trusted, “but our government will not sign any deal which does not pacify their threat. We will definitely not ignore the harm they have already caused.”

Media in Placeoderms has largely vilified Altos and Stratis for being the first to violate September Island’s neutrality, and therefore bringing Sevevill’s attention there. Albatan, the victim of two separate Sevevillian occupations in the past, has seen public opinion turn anxious at the prospect that they may once again be targets for the Imperial war machine.

The status of the KP “effort” to protect September Island is not giving many people confidence.

Following many weeks of deliberation, representatives of the KP and Ameria have finally emerged from the Apollo Events Center in Las Batan, Albatan, with an agreement. In it, plans are drawn up outlining Ameria’s new place as the fifth official member of the Kamooko Pact.

This outcome has surprised quite a few observers. The deliberations at Apollo Alves had been tedious, threatening to break down altogether on more than one occasion. In particular, both sides were at an impasse about what to do with Ameria’s RRC. The paratrooper organization was perceived by some within the KP to be a loose cannon, having even launched an abortive invasion of KP-held September Island and contributing to the crisis there. Early Green Union representatives, whose soldiers had made up a large part of the September Island mission, initially took a hardline approach. They demanded that the entire Airborne Rapid Reaction Corps be handed over to Kamooko, and Ameria be left with only her homeland defence forces. Ameria, by contrast, initially refused to part with her forces or see them be made subservient to a centralized defence concern.

However, as talks ground on and negotiators were cycled out, all sides would end up softening. Today, the final product of this goodwill and perseverance is being unveiled.

Ameria will be taking her place as a full-blown Kamooko Pact member. By signing all three articles of the Kamooko Accords, she has pledged to uphold order, commerce, and good government in both herself and her fellow signatories. In order to accomplish this, KP officials are already hard at work helping Ameria integrate into the Gronskog Trade Bloc and confirming (mostly as a formality) that the country’s stellar human rights record meets all the demands of Article 1. KDC military administrators are currently moving to bring Ameria’s national military in line with the alliance’s standards.

So far, no plans exist to standardize the A&S Armed Forces with the rest of the KDC.

ANN: Peacekeeping Mission in Drejveška approved, while debate for war rages in the Congress of Nations!

While the debate between war an peace rages in Casatolo as the violence spreads, Arcadian congress has approved the deployment of Arcadian peacekeepers to help those affected by war in the highly contested region. The Arcadian Aid Corps and the Parliamentary Army's 17th Sustainmen and Support Brigade will be deployed to any country in the conflict that welcomes Markion Union support in supporting civil operations, and ensuring the Gothenberg accords are followed to the letter.

For Arcadian Forces in Stravel already in the region it is uncleart wether they would be added to the Markion Union Mission in Drejveška(MUMD) or remaining an independent civil support force for border security at this time. With the conflict spreading along ethnic lines in Phenoxia a former Arcadian colony, Casatolo and the Arcadian delegation has voted to send MU observers and peacekeepers to ensure secretarian violence is stopped, and to ensure hostile actions in the region cease.

The Markion Union has also reached out to all parties in the conflict to allow MU observers and to house bases of operation to the Markion Union mission in the region. The Arcadian government has also condemned Americae Roma's attack on the Frivka District Nuclear Power Station citing concerns for the possibility of a nuclear catashrophe with military strikes on a nuclear facility. The Arcadian federation has also warned that any hostile act against the Arcadian Federation will have harsh and severe conseqences with the movement of vessels of war to Dacruz. General Lucas Murray commandant of the New Dacruz garrison of the NTDF has stated that the Arcadian Armed Forces will be ready to repel any hostile attack on the state of Dacruz, or to any Arcadian forces abroad.

The state of Dacruz is a recent addition to the Arcadian Federation, and former Empire after joining the nation in 2016 after a brutal civil war in the country, and a hostile attack by the former United States of Connor, the state of New Dacruz remains the home of the rapid expiditioonary forces for the Drejveška region, and with forces currently deployed to Stravel in civil sustainment operations

NWA Refuses Peace Talks

The NWA made their own announcement today stating bluntly and clearly that they have made their decision and have given Phoenixia a diplomatic option which would mean the expulsion of all Phoenixian armed forces from Xekniya. NWA officials went on to say that their plans to intervene in the country will go on as planned. At the time of the announcement, the NWA's combined forces have formed up in Nulaar, a Guanjan port city, and will immediately begin their journey to intervene in the violent conflict and bring it to an end. However, quite surprisingly, the NWA has offered the GDU a place in this intervention process. The Sultan of Guanja added in his speech about the situation that if there is no need for conflict, then surely there is no need for conflict in Xekniya as well. Finally, the Terestroian King has sent a diplomatic attache to the GDU in order to discuss a more important matter concerning a certain communist problem...

InterMinistry Report on the Situation in Oceania

INTRODUCTION

The Oceanian conflict had been devastating to the civilian population of Oceania. A genocidal campaign, which included defoliant attacks on the nation's farmland, as well as guided weapons strikes on its marine and landbound transport industry, had essentially destroyed the country's food supply, as well as damaged its capability of shipping food into the country and exporting industrial good out of the country. Beyond the immediate dire threat to the lives of Oceanian citizens, this poses a long-term threat – a failure to produce goods and services may put Oceania in a downwards spiral where poverty increases mortality from disease and famine, which in turn causes the disintegration of national infrastructure and institutions, which causes more violence and poverty.

In light of this, the Free Kingdom has formed an InterMinistry Task Force on Oceania, principally composed of officials at the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Finance, and researchers from the University of Concord, the Liberty-City School of Economics, the Port-Allanea University. Below are the recommendations of this task force.

FIRST STAGE: EMERGENCY SUPPORT

The current situation in Oceania is particularly dire. Food supply and production have been devastated by aerial attacks and dioxin poisoning. That said, it's important to stress that this poisoning is largely not a permanent effect (with the exception of a few high-contamination areas). Dioxin in soil will typically be washed away with rain water and carried off by the wind within a year or two. As such, the time in which Oceania will require direct food aid is limited.

We propose, therefore, to continue three forms of emergency support. Based on the theoretical framework found in the Free Kingdom Armed Forces Emergency Relief Doctrine, at the current stage of the disaster situation it is best to consider the first stage of emergency support to be like providing help to a neighbor whose house is on fire.

As such, we propose that this first stage of emergency support should be organized along paramilitary lines, to enable us to continue fast, decisive intervention against famine and disease just as we would against a foreign enemy.

Direct Food and Medical Aid: As of now, nations in the Good Will Coalition, particularly the Co-Prosperity Sphere of Auman, the Free Kingdom of Allanea, and Altos and Stratis, are doing their best to continue airlifting high-calory foods to keep the people of Oceania alive. We ask all of Oceania's neighbors to participate in this, and all other aid efforts. We ask also to deploy and distribute water filtration units, to reduce the chance of diseases and birth defects caused by dioxin poisoning. Further, our medics are even now assisting Oceanians who have been injured, or otherwise suffered from diseases of various types as a result of the war.

Emergency Rebuilding: The Free Kingdom has been the first to deploy engineering troops to rebuild harbors and roads in Oceania. We propose that neighbors and allies take part in rebuilding the country's harbors and roads. With a properly-organized relief effort, Oceania's harbors can be functional again within weeks. In addition, we must take rapid action to rebuild water filtration systems and other key infrastructure where damaged.

Direct Refugee Assistance: Technically speaking, of course, receiving refugees is an economic boon for both the receiving nation and the refugees themselves. Given the fact that Oceania is currently a starving wasteland where the land and water are poisoned we find it only reasonable for nations to accept as many Oceanian refugees as we can.

SECOND STAGE: REBUILDING SUPPORT

As we've mentioned before, the emergency that is now taking place in Oceania is largely temporary. It will likely be possible to farm again on most of the affected farmland within a year, or at most several years, as the dioxins are washed or eroded off. That said, the economic damage to the country is such that it's fairly reasonable to expect difficulties in its recovery.

Here we propose two lines of assistance:

Economic Development Assistance: From a purely economic perspective, a country does not have to be growing its own food at all. A country that, for example, produces socks and then sells the socks and buys food feeds itself just as well as a country that grows wheat and grinds it into flour to bake bread. For this reason, we propose measures to assist Oceanian industry in recovering – a series of grants, or low-interest loans, to improve the national infrastructure to pre-war levels, and to create business clusters that would form incubators for hi-tech, capital-intensive start-ups. Further, we propose that countries at least temporarily suspend trade barriers with Oceania. Finally, some dual-use equipment (trucks, bulldozers, etc.) can be distributed, or sold at low costs, to Oceanian small businesses and farmers from military stockpiles in our nation.

Agriculture Assistance: Obviously, and despite the above, one of the best ways to end hunger is to grow food. As such, we propose development grants or partnerships between public agencies, private charity, and for-profit industry to develop and deploy new farm technologies that would allow the Oceanians to produce food, ideally of types that would not depend on Oceania's polluted environment –hydrogenotroph-based protein production, land-based aquaculture, vertical farming, etc.

THIRD STAGE: LONG-TERM SUPPORT AND CLEAN-UP

Within several years, we believe the problems of hunger, poverty, and infrastructure damage in Oceania will mostly be solved problem. However, in some (limited) areas where dioxin or other pollution will be most concentrated, it's likely that extended clean-up operations will be required. We propose a joint financial pool to assist in the funding these, partly provided by the Crown of Greater Prussia and private charities, and partly by agencies and charities in Markion.

We believe also that it would be useful if Oceania's neighbors continue to work to help it improve its civilian infrastructure, as well as its national defense and law enforcement apparatus, to prevent a repeat of the terrible occurrences that made this report necessary at all.

In the long-term, we hope that some of the trade relationships forged within Stage Two of this recovery will remain. It would be ideal if long-term cooperation agreements would be signed at this stage, aimed at aiding Oceania in its onwards journey towards progress and prosperity.

It could have looked that way. Three frigates and four amphibious transport ships were in the distance. In theory, these ships could transport 3,040 refugees in one trip; as for how many refugees Emerstari would send to these isles in total, that was still in the air, but it likely not exceed fifty thousand by very much. It had not been nearly two hours since the Emerstarian relief flotilla left Gjomsønnen for Hewylthelnr Naval Base in Rudony; by now, it was about twelve leagues out to sea. Aboard the KMS Kopmannshavn, which was acting as the command ship of the group, was the Commodore Erikssen. A matrilineal (his mother's father being a Ljundstrom) descendant of the explorer and first Lord Admiral of Emerstari, Kristoffer Lorens Ljundstrom, you could say sailing the waters of Markion was in his blood. Erikssen, though, was not quite exploring uncharted territory in the search, by order of the King, for the Garden of Eden like his famed ancestor; rather, he was going to be heading back and forth over the course of several weeks transporting several thousand refugees. It was also by order of the King, at least.

Now, some days later, the Commodore sat in his office, reading this and that when one of his staffers came in, announcing, "Hewyl Island is off the port, sir."
Erikssen stood up and walked towards the door, planning to watch his orders get executed: "Excellent. See to it that the longboats are dispatched with haste, Lieutenant."

Kamooko Pact engineers have been hard at work in Yamakan Ward in Ryune, developing the new service rifle of the Kamooko Defence Command alongside the Yamakan Arms Company, some CR remnants, and Metro Arms. The rifle is looking to be derived from a simplified version of the modular NB-45 rifle currently in service with the Confederate Defence Forces of the CSD. Fortunately, there is already a pattern of rifle which is very close to the required specifications. The PB-45 rifle was developed for the Confederate Defence Forces of the CSD but rejected due to ergonomic concerns. The KDC, interested along the same lines in arming a large force very quickly, has been optimistic about adapting the spartan design for their own purposes.

Like the NB-45, the PB-45 is a bullpup infantry rifle chambered in 4.5x47mm Yamakan. However, very little of the gun is actually compatible with its parent system. The simplified gun operates on a direct impingement system, blowing gas straight into the bolt. It is almost entirely made of polymers and stamped steel all very tightly pieced together, with even “routine” cleaning requiring a screwdriver just to access the bolt. The design is being considered as a fallback rifle for the CSD should another Kalto-Durranese War break out, as a result of its ease of manufacture.

The Kamooko Pact has been working to modify the PB-45 for its own purposes, scaling back some of the more extreme design simplifications and tweaking for parts compatibility with the more common Pact platforms. The first prototypes of the new “K1” rifle were unveiled today in Kamooko, with high and mid level military representatives from all KP members arriving for a demonstration and photo opportunity.

The models displayed were bullpup, right handed only rifles with fairly standard 508mm barrels and non adjustable aperture sights.

Overall, the military brass seemed fairly optimistic when given a chance to see and operate the weapon, though how much of this was merely a show for the cameras is hard to tell.

The Parliamentary Green Union officers displayed some aversion to the crude-looking weapon, particularly its sights and handling, but were appeased when handed a model mounted with their familiar C79 scope. After this, they were impressed with its accuracy potential for a small cartridge, and even hinted at supporting the omission of iron sights altogether in future.

The Placeodermsians were pleased with the compactness of the platform, and especially with the 4.5x47mm cartridge, which is small and lightweight. The Placeodermsians noted that this weapon would be both more compact that their current SCAR line, and more powerful than their Kar. 95G. This, apparently, would be a winning combination in an APC.

The Albatanians seemingly sent one teenaged intern, who proceeded to fire from the hip all the ammunition handed to them before saying “Just like the simulations” and leaving.

The Durranese, used to their more finely finished NB-45, were not entirely happy about holding essentially a less fine version of the same thing but were glad nonetheless that they would not need to change their service rifle or cartridge, more so that others were adopting theirs.

KR1 Becomes New Service Rifle For The KDC

The first shipments of the KDC’s new service rifle have begun arriving with their new units. After months of research, development, and testing, officials of the military branch of the KP have finally made their decision and have begun full scale production of the rifle. Cheap, efficient and effective, the KR1 has made waves across Kamooko’s administration but took some criticism from soldiers.

Of particular note about these new guns is that they have not shipped with any sights. Most units have been instructed to transfer over their sights from older rifles, leading to a strange mix of optics and iron sights as well as a great deal of confusion in combat-ready units on the Vilhalan border.

Most troops had never seen a rifle like this before, and did not know what to make of it. In the words of one Albatanian soldier upon seeing the KR1, “you’re shorter than I expected.” Formal instruction from Durranese officer is expected within the next few days, with the Kamooko Defence Command’s 1st, 2nd, and 4th divisions on the border receiving priority.

Minor tweaks are expected as troops give feedback on their new weapons, but it looks as if the KR1 has taken its final form.

After months of talking with a variety of Markion Nations and companies. PenguMotor's finally found a host nation for the Markion Branch. The Autocracy of Sjovenia will host the PenguMotor's Race Team HQ, along with plans for a factory on site to produce the Pengu Engine.

Top Share holders from the Aels region, flew in today, for the ground breaking ceremony, on the 15 acre plot of land that will house PenguMotor's Markion. PenguMotor's CEO Lilias Flowers and Head of PenguMotor's Markion, Reiya Valdydth. Both took turns in scooping out some dirt from the ground, as others cheered and poured champagne. After words talk of the open coming Markion Circuit was talked about, along with talks of a few other teams, and the moving of the Ferris Rabbits hockey tewam, to become the PenguMotors Rabbits.

Part of the deal would see a local Sjovenia Construction crew tasked with building the compound, under the eyes of a PengiTech Construction Foreman. Pay for the crews will be at the JVP Union rates of Pengitech Construction.

Until the Compound is up and running, the PenguMotor's team will share house with sister team Lasko Alpine Racing.

This will be PenguMotor's first attempt at out of Region competition, and on top of F1, they will look to compete in Air sports, rally events, and motor cross events. With Plans for Hockey and other sports to come over as the time see's fit.

Policy towards the September Islands has shifted as well in support of the UCSO-KP coalition to liberate the September Island from occupational forces of the Empire of Sevevill. The Arcadian government is also dispatching a carrier strike group in international waters outside of the September Islands within the week.

OOC: The current time is late autumn, 2035. The Altara incident happened approximately one year ago, not two years. At the same time, there is no "UCSO-KP coalition" to liberate September Island.

IC: FASC's apology would be partially accepted by the Kamooko Pact, with high level members commenting on it as a step in the right direction for FASC-KP relations. The offer of financial compensation for those affected has been agreed to, with a generous sum soon negotiated. By accepting responsibility for the attack, the KP hopes, FASC can start down the long road to reform.

However, Kamooko leaves no doubt that they see this as only a beginning. An official demand has been made for a joint investigation into the attack on Altara, as well as the invasion of the country as a whole. Altaguay, to them, is still being occupied illegally and in the face of a KP protection mandate. Until the last Arcadian soldier has left Altaguay, the Kamooko Pact will continue to see FASC as one and the same with the former Arcadian Empire.

As a result, Kamooko has demanded Arcadia back down on September Island. More imperial violence to capture the island will not be tolerated. The neutral pact puts more stock in the abilities of KP and Sevevillian diplomats, who have been in constant dialogue since this crisis began, to come up with a peaceful solution.

Id they were to succeed, nothing could be wasted, everyone had a job to do, and they couldn't fail.

KP leaders have issued an identical demand to Guanja by ordering them to back off from September Island, which they still consider to be under Pact protection. The KP will not accept any further harm to come to the island, which has seen its infrastructure decimated and civilian population destitute as a result of the initial Sevevillian assault. If dialogue with the Sevevillians fails, combat may begin again, but at this time military posturing will not help anyone.

The Federation is willing to escort your shipping lanes and trading ships through this strait, and to protect them from any possible force used against them. Any damage received on your ships from a direct result of Arcadian naval vessels will be reimbursed by the Arcadian Federation.

The Arcadian Royal Navy in the area is on standby awaiting the green light, and more naval vessels can be sent if the need arises. The Arcadian Federation would like to set up a meeting between our officials in a mutually agreed location to further discuss, the situation of the Empire of Sevevill, and Arcadian-Kamooko relations.

Furthermore, the Kamooko Pact has completely refused FASC's request to escort KP shipping, with Charlotte Freid calling it "a completely unacceptable attempt to undermine our neutrality." High level alliance officials have reiterated their refusal to work with the Arcadians due to FASC's occupation of land under KP protection.

In the meantime, with a ceasefire called, KP ships are no longer under attack. They have, however, remained wary. Ameria and Stannenbourg, the KP's newest members, have received their first military assignment of helping to escort allied shipping in the area, and conducting freedom of navigation patrols in the Urilas Straits.

The military situation in Markion's centre may have cooled down, but the situation remains tense. With so many variable factions and moving parts, a return to hostilities could happen at any time. And at that point, no one would be able to predict how such a reignited conflict might go.

Delvin Solymós, the KP's representative within the Markion Union, has expressed his concern at Guanja's refusal to negotiate and offered Kamooko's services in mediating the conflict. Solymós mirrors other high-level KP statements in hoping that dialogue can be made acceptable to the Guanjans.

However, the higher-ups in the Pact have also not condemned the Guanjan action. They have brought up Phoenixia's human rights record, especially in relation to the Xekniyan populace, and noted that this regime does not meet the normal KP standards for a legitimate state. Nor has Phoenixia met these standards for decades, if they ever truly did. By the outline set in the Kamooko Accords, Phoenixia is not a state deserving of protection. The KP will not object if this regime is forcibly removed and replaced by a more agreeable one.

Of course, while all this is being said officially, individual members and factions within the alliance have expressed dissenting views. In particular, some have reported whispers from the new Amerian camp saying that they ought to be helping the Guanjans. Apparently many paratroopers were hoping for a shiny new ribbon, before being handed over for peacekeeping duty in KP home states.

ANN: Arcadian naval forces set to return home with cooling of Tensions in the Urlias straity, and the UCSO

Two carrier strike groups of the Royal Navy are returning to thier home ports with the cooling of tensions in the Urlias strait, and the UCSO-Sevevillian conflict. The Arcadian department of foreign affairs has expressed wishes of good luck and forutune to Kamooko shipping that has resumed since the blockade has been lifted, and hopes the A&S naval escort will keep civlian shipping safe in the region. The strike group that was placed in the UCSO theatre is being recalled back to its home port in the state of Altaguay, which is still placed on standby if the peace conference fails.

Meanwhile Defense Department has issued a statement that forces stationed in Engelmann Kaserne, Phoenixia will not participate in any conflict in the country, and that Arcadian forces are prepared to defend themselves incase of an attack by any party. The Department of Foreign Affairs has also expressed support for the NWA and Phoenixia to handle things diplomaticly and for both militaries to back down, and for Pheonixian forces to cease hostilities in Xekniya.

Last weekend’s race ended with a splash after Laško Alpine Racing (LAR) placed both 5th and 6th place during race day. Slaveška’s Možnost Siva outraced his teammate, Janissero’s Alissa Gallio, but was unable to take the podium. Leipförde Mariroux Racing’s B. Hill washed away the competition completing one lap in a whopping 0:46:15:422 leading his teammate by 5.37 seconds. We interviewed LARs after the race to get their take away.

Gorad Siva (Team Founder and Manager): ”It just wasn’t meant to be! I’m seriously disappointed but I’m more so disappointed with the weather unable to cooperate with us on race day. Our teams biggest weakness is water. We must be cats because we hate it. Our drivers struggle in it, the fans our miserable, and our points suffer. In between last season and this season we tried wetting the track to get more experience on it but the training didn’t pay off”

Možnost Siva (#46 Driver 1 for LAR): ”I’m a little upset but there’s a silver lining...we qualified in the rain taking 5th and 6th and we finished race day in the rain 5th and 6th. Minor hiccups with the crew during pit but with enough will we were able to pull off our defense pretty well and maintain our position the entire race. Just need to keep a positive attitude!”

Alissa Gallio (#26 Driver 2 for LAR): ”I think this is the first time Siva has beat me so I’m sure he’s pretty proud of that. The car handled well for the scenario it was in...it was cold and rainy. I’m overall happy with how our defensive tactics played out but first is always on my mind!”

Laško Alpine Racing Fan: ”Despite the results that is still my team! The weather was absolute **** but it was well worth it. Slaveškan Pride! High Speed, Low Drag!!!”

An End To Xekniya

Captain Kiežki burst in holding a case of imported Emerstarian ale, expensive, luxurious around these parts, he just grinned and said, “The war is over, lads. You can go home to your families. High command said we are pulling out because the XLA agreed to a peace deal!” Kiežki offered Jordi a beer.

Jordi was overcome with joy, he could go home to his Helene and Fabio. He had not seen Fabio for a year and a half, since his leave after his last rotation. Helene… it is hard to say what he missed about her. Possibly her rich blonde hair or her beautiful voice. As he cracked open the bottle, a wave of euphoria hit him. He was going to get his discharge after this, the adventures he has had, never really being home solid for the past 17 years.

He had seen death in multiple degrees, he felt guilt for the guys that couldn’t ever leave Xekniya outside a coffin. “To the lads that never lived to see this,” he raised his bottle and put on a sad smile.

Kiežki replied, “Let this never happen again. Let the next lads never have to fight in a land where we don’t belong.”

Jordi went into the bunks to tell everyone, the room was empty. He turned left to see a blood spattered wall, with a body on the ground. A corporal had shot himself after last night’s firefight unchecked. Jordi just screamed out and yelled, “FUCK!”

Kiežki ran in and facepalmed, “Shit. Jordi, I am so sorry man.” Kiežki loved his men, they were his family. He had a bitch of a wife who he couldn’t bear to go back to. One could guess that simping up to the first girl in college who lays you isn’t a very good idea.

They walked out together to get the MPs, Jordi raised the question, “So, uh, why the fuck are we pulling out?”

“Heard something about Tyria coming in,” The Captain’s face shifted, “Fucking slavedrivers.”

A month ago that may not have been possible. Now, we celebrate, as I fulfilled to you my campaign promise before the election even happened. I have successfully made peace with XLA forces and effectively began full evacuation from Xekniya," He took a drink of water as he prepared to read a telegram from General Ivano Sikorska.

"Today, 09:00 West Drejveškan Time, delegates from the Phoenixian Ermaht signed an official truce with delegates of the Xekniyan Liberation Army. This conflict of 13 years is over, men who have not seen their homes in three or more years are going home. Women who have not seen their loves in three or more years can truly love again. I hope Phoenixians can enjoy this joyous day, and not take the end of this war as a defeat, but a victory for humanity in full."

"And, to address Guanja, we have given into your demands in full, we are leaving Xekniya, if you want to get to Xekniya, we will let you through. We are not a barrier, but ha helping hand," he holds out his hand to the camera, "This hand, is for helping."
