About Ravana:

Welcome to the Royal Embassy of Ravana! Ravana is a constitutional monarchy currently overseen by King Glacio Revera of house Revera. Established in late January (2018), Ravana adopted it's current governing document, The Holy Design, in early July of 2022, but has a long and storied history of governance. This Embassy will serve to distribute regional updates and announcements to all interested parties, and is open to be used to discuss Ravana related events.

Hello Everyone! I am Glaciosia, the newly elected Chancellor of the People's Assembly, and I would like to introduce my first initiative! The Kingdom of Ravana will be holding a contest to decide our flag, our anthem and more! There will be prizes for the winners as well.

Flag
Create a design representative of the region and suitable to serve as our regional flag.

Possible Imagery:

-Raven
-Pheonix
-Colors of navy blue and purple
-Basically Whatever


Anthem
Write/Compose a written piece suitable to be used as an anthem (bonus points if works with a piece of music, bonus bonus points if you are awesome enough to write some music)

How to Participate
Create your work , then submit it via telegram email (glaciosia@ravana.org) discord or either the NS or regional forums
The contest will be concluded on the 25th of June unless not enough entries are submitted, in which case the individual contests may be extended by a maximum of two weeks.

The winners shall receive a special role in the regional discord server, a fancy letter sent to them (If they wish, and they live in the continental U.S) and a regional officership in the region with power over polls (though not necessarily immediately after the conclusion of the contest.) These rewards may be retracted if abused.

Rules
All entries must be your own work
by submitting you grant the region of ravana , and the government thereof the right to use your design, credited in this contest and the various histories of the region , as well as wherever easily possible.
The winners will be selected by a jury drawn from citizens, government officials and notable creators in the respective fields , as selected by glaciosia/

Like our new imagery? It's just the beginning! Thanks to efforts from our friends in Enadia, particularly President Latman, Ravana has revamped it's forums and is proudly flaunting new logos for it's various departments. A Region Reborn

Ravana has recently begun a new recruitment drive and re-instituted its regional government. We are welcoming a large influx of new members and filling the ranks of our government. We encourage any experienced nations who are interested in regional politics or organizing a regional roleplay to reach out to us via telegram or join our discord. New Divine Analects, Parliament, Chancellor
The Pontifex Maximus and Sovereign have recently initiated a new foundational document for the region, replacing the temporary Constitutional Charter with the much more complex Divine Analects.
Elections complete, the first class of members of Parliament to be entered in under our new constitution are as follows:

New Odessus and Mulla both did not win a seat in Parliament, but may well find themselves in the cabinet of the new Chancellor, Papir Republic, who was elected in a landslide among members of Parliament.
The new Divine Analects promise an exciting balance between intrigue and stability, establish the nobility and their Royal Court as a balance against the Sovereign as well as the office of Chancellor, the guild system and a stronger Sovereign with more checks and removal possibilities. Expect lots of fireworks surrounding which two lines of Nobility will join the Sovereign’s in the Royal Court, and a more durable and well defined process of governance.

Victory in Dinnertime War, Excellent First Showing for Royal Forces
Following the threatening posture and actions by high-level members of the government of Lasagna, the King and Parliament of Ravana declared war in self-defense. The Royal Forces of Ravana, in service of their mission to protect the interests and safety of the region, engaged in 3 actions with the enemy, taking Lasagna Part Two in an occupation and passwording the region, launching a tag raid on Council of Regions, another empty lasagna-controlled region and an impressively successful tag raid on the Lasagnan main region. Following the round success in the final raid on their home region, the government of Ravana has declared victory, and safe, confident that the region was safe from any garfieldesque threat.

Prime Minister Retires
Victoria Pond, the region’s first and only Prime Minister has announced that they will be stepping down and not running again for Parliament. Their future in the region is unknown, but their service will not go unnoticed, and their mark upon the region is indelible.

Awards Distributed, Nobility Granted
Victoria Pond has been given the Royal Forces of Ravana Honor Medal, in recognition of their service in the Dinnertime War. All participating members have been given campaign medals, for each of their engagements with the enemy. Pontifex Maximus Farlandiay and Sovereign Glacio Revera have jointly exercised their authority to grant Victoria Pond, Abanthia, Qavania, and Phyrexon the status of Nobility for their services to the region in Parliament.

The following citizens have been elected as Members of Parliament in an uncontested election:

Ministries Established
Parliament has passed two dictums, establishing the Culture and Immigration ministries, which will help serve and integrate nations in Ravana, new and old.

Foreign Affairs Guild
The charter for a Foreign Affairs Guild introduced to the Royal Court by the Sovereign has been ratified, and the guild established. Guilds are the semi-autonomous organs of executive governance under the Sovereign, contrasted with the more directly controlled and simpler ministries under the Chancellor. Guilds control their own membership, and have their own subservient governing documents.

Traitors Uncovered
Several government officials were discovered to be agents of the Lasagnan government following minor acts of sabotage, and have been Excommunicated and banished from the region by the Pontifex Maximus:

Nobility Granted, Heir Named
Sovereign Glacio Revera, together with Pontifex Maximus Farlandiay granted the status of Nobility to Marevis, for their service to the region as a minister of foreign affairs and a member of Parliament, which besides being a great honor allows them to establish their own house, and sit on the Royal Court if the house they are in is one of three Royal Houses. Additionally, Victoria Pond has been named heir to the throne of Ravana, Crown Prince of Ravana, and Duke of Elysia.

I'm not sure I understand what you are saying. Following the sabotage attacks by some of their agents, our leaders talked with each other and agreed that the conflict wasn't in our best interests to prolong, so we both stopped and brought our agents home, and cut ties.
