Very saddening to see ASEAN REGION, a place that had a solid community for over four years, locked away. At least it won't be refounded for the foreseeable future and players that care about it will still be able to read the RMB history, if not interact with each other there.

Apologies, I may have come off more agressively than I meant to. Both of you have a valid point in regards to your concern about the thread title, although I do not share it. I was merely correcting what I believed to be a misinformed arguement, and did not intend to imply either of you had any intention other than to raise a valid point.

The community already was considering moving to ASEAN Union, I believe. The community on the region was already declining in activity and ASEAN Union was set up to provide a new home. In fact, the longest serving native WA delegate was in favour of moving before the raid even occurred. Furthermore, the two natives with the most influence have been allowed to remain to ensure the region is not refounded.

The Black Hawks decided to celebrate Valentine's Day around NationStates, raiding some regions in the name of love. Along the way, they dropped some chocolates and roses over some regions, and sent some valentines to some natives and a couple of (now former) delegates.

While there are people in XKI that I have plenty of love for and would love to give Valentines to, I didn't choose that region to raid a pale imitation of their region - it just happened to be in a convenient place.

Hi, world.

Some of you with sharp eyes may have noticed in recent days that several TBH functions, including some dispatches and this thread OP, have been moved to other Councilors. This is because, in the very near future, I'll be officially retiring from my voting seat and stepping back to Council Advisory Board. I'll still be a General, and I'll still be around about as much as I have been...but what I have been, has been more deserving of this new title than my old one.

It's been quite a few years, and I couldn't be more pleased with the outlook for TBH at present. We have an amazing Council, great officers in the pipeline, and a proud and reliable band of members all around. I hope my family, my friends, my enemies, and anything in between can all offer me some form of Good Riddance.

I'd quote the Governator here next, but hey - is it really coming back if you never plan to actually fully leave?
